Howdy ....

More KY and TN trains ......

The IC passed through KY and TN to southern destinations .  In fact, I did ride on the IC City of Miami in the early 1960's.. it was a very nice train....

Note: ... The City of Miami moved over the Central of Georgia Railroad from Birmingham, AL to Jacksonville, FL. ... C of G E-units were painted in IC colors as in the last photo.

Kevin ... Looks like Broadway Limited Imports has tours of their facilities in Osmond Beach, FL. Have you been there ?

No I haven't... I had no idea about this... I need to do some looking into it.

Thanks.

I'm wanting to buy a passenger car set so I can check my clearances.

Does anyone know of passenger cars that are shorter in length so they don't so ridiculous on curves?

Thanks

I don't suppose old time cars would meet the 1st criteria.  Roundhouse used to make Harriman cars.  You can find those on Ebay.  Con Cor and Bachmann make 72' cars.  You can see those on the Walthers site to see if there is a roadname that fits.

Good morning, Diners.

If anyone needs me, I'll be sweeping up all the Dots - Sign people have left all over the floor.

LION ONTHE MOVE...

The LION is moving...

From room 111 on the first floor to room 205 on the sedond floor.

LION, I seem to remember a post a while ago about the knees of him giving him trouble. Is him going to be OK going up and down the stairs so much? Or is there an elevator big enough for a full-grown LION?

Morning folks,

Mr. Otte, yeah a lot of Dots - Sign was thrown around this weekend.

Well I ran out of gas on the way to work this morning, but my mom came and got me so I could get some gas in a gas can, so I got to work.

Well I'm shampooing carpets I'll be back later!

Well, the Diner's been cleaned up now. Looks like people need some comfort food to calm them down.

Over the weekend the wife and I went to her [XX]th high school reunion. [Actual year removed for self-protectionBig Smile] It was so LOUD in there! Everyone seemed to feel they had to shout to be heard over everyone else, so of course soon they did. When the DJ started up, followed by incessant drunken "WOOOOOO!!!"ing, I had to go out in the lobby.

But I got my money's worth out of the buffet. There was a veggie tray, cheese tray, nachos, wraps, meatballs, fried potstickers (which were yummy, even though I've only had 'em steamed before), a build-your-own-mini-taco bar, and for dessert, a S'mores bar with a row of Sterno cans to toast your marshmallows over. I thought that would give the marshmallows a funny taste, but they were fine. So let's all belly up to the buffet and restore our good feelings over some tasty food.

I'll be sweeping up all "..." the people have left all over the floor

.

Thank you SteveO.

.

I did not read the diner for about 3 weeks because the atmosphere was so tempermental, then Garry lured me back in a bit, then everything exploded.

.

I know some people complain about the moderation, but I welcome it. Please do whatever it takes to keep this place cleaned up.

.

Thanks again.

OK, none of this any longer!

Petra´s "German Apfelkuchen"! As you can see, I had a generous slice for dessert! I simply can´t resist when it is still warm.

Happy times!

Now, Now, Maxman....  You must not have been told!  Virtual goodies do NOT raise Blood Sugar!  I just had a huge slice of that Apfelkuchen as soon as Ulrich posted it, just took my Blood sugar and it was only 101 which was exactly what it was when I took it this morning!  So eat up and enjoy!

I got a call from my son about an hour ago.  My sister, Rev. Janice Miller, passed away early this morning.  Thank you all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers for my family during this time!  Those of you who have been through this type of thing, I'm sure, know that the hard part is still in front of the family.....

I may have a working phone for one of my cousin's now.  will try later this afternoon to let him know and have him tell his brothers and sisters what has transpired.

I'll catch up to all of you later!

My condolences Ray. Adjusting to the loss of a loved family member, or close friend can be very hard, but I try to view their passing as a time to celebrate their achievements of a life well spent, though I must admit that with the premature passing of a couple of real close friends, I do find it a little difficult.

Thoughts and Best Wishes to All that need them.
Kindest regards, Craig the Bear.Smile

Evening folks,

Went to my music lesson, got some good news, the girl that comes after me wants to do a duet for the Fall Art Crawl, I said OK, she's wanting to sing "Dream a Little Dream of Me" I'll have to learn the lyrics but it should be fun.

I'll be back later.

 Eveing Diners

Flo, the gang and I will have a Beer and give Ulrich, Rick and Steven what they like.

Ray Sorry about your sister. I am sure she had a for filling life. Angel

Ulrich glad to she you back in the dinner and that looks good! Dinner

Pretty sure I have caught something. Nose has been running all day, lungs hurt just a tad, pee stinks and I am either hot or cold.

Wife gets the staples out of her knee Tuesday. Hope that helps her with walking and the pain.

 Heading to bed soon.
