Good Afternoon!

Still too hot for me and I am not feeling well at all.

Jeff - we was worried (and still are), you know! Angel for a speedy recovery! I think you had your fill of hospital food for this year.

The postman rang twice this morning and brought a surprise gift - two Busch O scale trees. They look a little generic, but with some w*rk on them (adding Silflor leaves), I think I´ll be able to turn them into eye candy.

I have temporarily planted them behind the wharf buildings, giving the scene more depth and a boost to the atmosphere of the scene.

Jeremy - I hope you´ll be soon feeling better!

Have a good day!

Hi Guys

Up early. The headache got alot more intense in the night. When the throbing pain woke me up I also had blurry vision in my right eye. Its all on my right side of my head too. I think I may have to go see the doctor

And of course as with my luck all this happens when I started a new job three weeks ago. I dont know how serious this headache thing is though.

Jeffery Great to see you back! Sorry about the little toe. Better it than the foot I guess. While you are away, is your Father getting the mail?

All my mail comes through my fathers address, so yeah, he's getting it all.

 Evening Dinners!

Flo, Beer for my self and a glass of tobasco  lemonade for Jeffery!

Jeffery Great to see you back! Sorry about the little toe. Better it than the foot I guess. While you are away, is your Father getting the mail?

Bank Of Stupid I am so sick of worrying about this mess I did not call the Lawyer today! I am just so feed up with dealing with this stuff! Bang Head I will either call Tuesday or Thursday and speak with the lawyer. I will all so call the VA Housing and get there take on this Horse Stuff!

YGW I think you where thinking about me and not Dennies. If I leave the house, I will just walk away from it! If I sell the house for more than $19,000 over what I owe, state of ILL gets it. (Long Story) BoS says it is worth $135,000 but there is not a chances it heck of getting that kind of money for it! Just not worth the hassel to me to try to fix it up so someone will buy it.

Working Out Still going strong. Just had a good work out tonight and enjoying it. Fonud another 25 Lb plate but where in the heck are all the smaller ones? I could really use 2 more 10 Lb plates and 2 5 Lb plates in the next few days.

 See you all later

Evenin' folks!

Janie just a cup of decaf for me....  Tabasco sauce???  Ah...  No!  Not in MY coffee!  Oh, in honor of Jeffrey being back?  Well,  Just loosen the capo and wave the bottle near my coffee and whisper tabasco....  Too loud!  Now ya ruined my decaf.  Never mind I'll put an extra teaspoon of sugar in it.

Jeffrey!  Good to see you are recovering and yelling at the nurses!  That is a good sign.  I do hope you will get to keep what is left of the toes on that foot though.  They say it is hard to balance without the toes.

I drove to Rochester this afternoon and dropped off the damaged speaker.  It will take a couple weeks to get the new tweeter for it.  There was a lot of traffic today on the NYS Thruway.  More than I expected for a Monday afternoon.  There are a couple sections near Rochester that I try to avoid during rush hour when possible.

Spent tonight counting rivets for the bridge...  I am only putting HO scale rivets in places that can be seen on the bridge, but it should make it more believable when finished.  The Bridge Shoes arrived today as well and will work for the bridge although they are not a perfect match for the drawings I have.  Close enough I guess.

Got a request from a friend of mine who is a member of the MLK Committee tonight.  Her Brother passed away last Saturday and the African American Men's Association in town is starting a scholarship as a memorial to him.  She asked me if I would print up a bunch of envelopes for them to use to mail donations to the group.  I told her that I would be glad to help.  Have the envelope all set to print already.  This is the second Scolarship fund that is named after one of her relatives.  The other is a college scholarship named after her daughter who graduated with honors at college.  I taught her daughter, BTW and she was one of my favorites.  Just a great kid and now a true Lady!  I give some $$$ to it every year.  Anyway, she will drop off the envelopes to me tomorrow and I will get them printed for her.

Hope all of you have a good night.  My prayers as usual for all those in need!

Welcome back buddy!

And I avoid lemonade with Tobasco in it.

I wish I had some right now. The hottest stuff I have here is Dr. Pepper. I put seven bottles of it up on a shelf where I can't easily reach them.

Its sad to learn about your recent problmes Jeff, but good that you are in a hospital. I know you dont want to be there but you can get the treatment you need.

I had a pretty good time at the race on Saturday and Sunday. Like I mentioned one of the teams from the lower series gave me a broken rim and tire. And yesterday another team gave me a broken nose cone, you couldnt believ how lightweight a carbon fibre nose cone is.

For some reason the last few days I have had a really bad heahache. The last couple nights I have woken up in the middle of the night in pretty bad pain. I dont know if I have been grinding my teeth or not but the pain is quite severe. When it happen last night I was barely able to move without feeling like my head was about to explode.

If it keep up I may have to go to the docotrs about it.

Howdy ..

Just returned from a quicl trip to Cincinnati. Bugs are smashed all over the front of my truck. We are cleaning out the garage, and passed some stuff on to the younger generation this trip.

David ... Thanks for checking up on Running Bear. ..... I tried calling 2 Leesville hospitals earlier, and he was not a patient with them. Now I know why. .... I was going to call his father this evening for info, but you took care of getting the information. .... I'll post the info you obtained in moelrailroadforums coffee shop. .... His Dad is a good guy to talk with, and I had been looking forward to talking with him again. Oh well. ... Last time, Galaxy and I talked with JEff while he was in the hospital. I suspect he needs to rest a while before receiving calls though.

A huge THANKS to David Parks.

Praying Jeff has a speedy recovery.

Edit .... Your modeling is excellent !

Happy model rairloading

I somehow knew something like that would happen to Jeff. He really is sailing in rough waters this year!

AngelAngelAngel for him!

David - thanks for informing us. Should you be visiting him, tell him that Petra and I are pulling for him!

Dennis - when you´re right, you are right, but...

... if I settle for what I have achieved so far, I don´t think I´ll go through the pains of improving. I am still at the beginning of my learning curve. Yes. I am a perfectionist, but I have accepted the amendment to Lee Iacocca´s famous words "in search of excellence", but not yet found it.

Bedtime again - I hope to catch some more sleep than last night. 2 hrs. are not enough for a big fella with a big, but broken heart.

Sir Madog
I am far from meeting the standards I have set for myself with this layout,

Ulrich I think I see a Perfectionist in you Confused I should know because I spent most of my life doing the same thing until I HAD to change my ways because of health issues. I certanly didn't do myself any favours with my need for perfection. Since then, I have learned to accept good enough for my own well being. It wasn't easy but I did it.

Cheers

Thank YOu David Parks!

I knew hwe was going to lose the toe las t nihgt,

I have also had about my fill of ERs and Drs/nurses there to! The nurses {at least here} do MOST of the work of the Drs. and as bad as the situation may bne the nurses deserve far more credit than they get! The Drs, come in and mumble  a few words, order tests the nurses have not and go away. Then only show up to check you out or check you in or pawn you off on another Doctor-NOTE; they ORDER it be done the nurses do the actual work fo those things too!.

Recently I told of my tale of being in a ER that ACTALLY had NO DOCTOR coverage at all for a period of hours!

I feel for Jeffrey {and like me} , if it weren't for bad luck, he'd have no luck at all.

Tell him we are pullign for him to recover quickly and to NOT lose any more digits! or limbs for that matter!

I have him on the healing energies list!

I have positive news on Jeff. He is in St Francis Cabrini hospitol in Alexandria. He was in their ER for more than 6 hours and was in no mood to talk. A visit from a dr did not improve things. He removed Jeff`s vac dressing to examine the wound from the previous amputation then left without making attempt to cover the wound. It was left exposed for 4 hours despite requests that it be dressed. Nothing was done until Jeff almost tore a male nurses hair out and started making remarks about legal action. Note: never get within reach of a mad Indian. He was finally sent to a room around 3 in the morning. His operation was yesterday morning and resulted in the loss of the 4th toe on the left foot. He is now 3 toes but I am not going to say that to his face. I like having all my teeth. He has not been in a mood for talking with anybody other than hospitol personel. I brought his tablet which i am using now. He may be on tonight. Tomorros is likely a safer bet.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, can I get a refill for my dark roast coffee?

YGW,  except for the Bridge Shoes (if they ever arrive) the bridge is completely scratch build starting with what the NMRA calls "Basic Shapes".  In other words the I-beams are made out of I-beam stock, etc.  I have some kits to put together, but need to do more scratch building to get me another one of them NMRA AP Certificates for my collection.  I have two more to complete for MMR...  But first I need to get the layout up and runable.  The current scratchbuilds are part of that end!

It is currently at the predicted high for today of 80°F outside.  I am waiting for an email from the place in Rochester where they will repair the speaker from camp to make sure they are open this afternoon to see if I head out to the place.

Woke up to finding a very nice Thank You specifically to yesterday's train crew and Museum Guides but sent to the entire membership complimenting us on how we handled the emergency delay out at the Museum.  He said that all of us acted in a very professional manner, never looked or acted upset, and that helped to make the more than 30 guests stranded at our end to feel comfortable that we were taking proper care of the problem!  One more reason I love to volunteer out there is the profesional way we as volunteers are being treated!  Makes the day a lot more fun for us too!

Sure hope we hear from or some good news about Jeffrey very soon!

Have a good (and safe) one out there!

Ulrich - think you are being to hard on yourself. I think they are much better than you give yourself credit for. I still think you should consider trying for the master modelers cert. I think you would do great.

Uhlrich - That is osme amazing progress you have made. Looks great, Do they have an NMRA there in Germany ? Maybe you could start on a master modelers cert.

Jeremy - what races do you go to ? Stock cars ?

Garry - taveling prayers to you.

Mark H. - do you have a surge protector plugged in at your computer ?

Dennis - If you have to go to a rental dont just walk away from your home - sell it , dont let someone els take your equity.

Howmus - Nice work. The bridge supports is that kit material or scratch ?

Vincent - If you need some rain come to NOVA, we have had buckets dumped on us recently, last week we recieved 2 to 4" in one rain/storm event !

Jeff - said a prayer for you. Hope all is well and you get back soon.

Been real busy, clearing out my shed making room for GF stuff and throwing away a lot of stuff I had forgotten I had. Two pick up loads to the dump this past week end. Moved a bunch of her boxes in this weekend. Preparing for the 23rd wedding date. No model RR at all in recent mempoy. Getting hitched is a LOT of work. Between fixing her house, preparing my house, cleaning moving etc The only model RR time i have had is reading my NMRA and model railroad magazines right belfore I nod off to sleep and watching a cd with trains in it when I finally stop and sit down to eat. Which brings me to a great movie if anyone cares to pick one up. Walmart has a golden oldy, John Wayne movie "The train robbers"  on sale in the $5 bin. Some great steam loco motive shots. Only thing I could not figure out why in the world would they put the cattle cars in front of the passenger car. If one has every been around one of those the aroma is not so sweet ! It seems it should have been behind the passenger car ?

On the medical front, I assume if it was simple, Jeffrey would be  back with us. Even if not simple, I hope he thought enough to take the tablet with him and has a wifi spot to work with, and will soon be backwith us!

Ulrich: actually something more like coffee will cool you  down faster. EVen though it sound counter-intuitive, and that "cool/cold drinks FEEL refreshing", it is true that something hotter will cool you down faster.

Here is why: You body has to expend MORE energy to warm up the cold liquid you injested so it can process it easily. ALL the EXTRA w*rk your body is doing causes more heat to be generated by the body doing more w*rk to heat it up. so:

If you are hot, and want to cool down, drink a hot cup of coffee or AT MINMUM ROOM-temperature water, soda, etc as it will be processed by the body faster and cool you down faster.

I never believed it though,  as i am not  a "hot" drinker, But I have found that I feel cooler and refreshed with a botle of room temp or air-temp water of a hot cup of coffee! AND I sweat less with a room-air temp drink! So now if I want to cool down, I drink almost everything room/air temp or hot.

well, I shall still see about starting the "Positive Energy" line for those in need, as well as the medical line.

Anybody else think it is a good idea and/or woud like to be added to the"Positive ENergy" AKA "bad luck club"? I like the sound of "positive Energy" club..it rings more true to what i am proposing. Of course I can do it anyway, but why wnste my time if no one reads/appreciates it?

I have PT at 12:45 today. GOtta get SOME stuff DOne before i go so as to REST when I get back from being done.

Rigt now, though nap comes to mind, boy this med icks me in the cabbose, to quote KEn.

Morning guys

It's been raining and storming off and on for the past 3 days. We needed some rain, but I think we got enough as it's starting to flood in low-lying areas, again...

Haven't done much with trains lately. Weather does help the painting projects, and the acetone I've been using for glue isn't working worth a crap. I may go to Ace Hardware later before work to buy some MEK to use as glue instead and the set of drill bits they have. My last set broke when the stand fell and broke...

David and/or Jeff, Let us know ASAP what Jeff's condition is. Gangrene is no joke.

anyways, I got to get going. Appointment at 815, work at 10. I should have some time to swing by Ace Hardware.

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Good morning!  It's pleasant in New England, sunny with a high of 80 predicted.  I'll probably just run the fan tonight, but we'll be back to AC for sleeping tomorrow.  Such is summer here.

I got back to kitbuilding again, with a Pratt Truss bridge from Central Valley.  Lots of parts and lots of instructions.  This bridge will be part of the liftoff between my original layout and the new staging section.  I need to get between them sometimes, to get behind the layout and to get to the window and AC unit as well.

Best wishes to all, whether you need them or not.

Healing energies go out

to: Jeffrey, Me, Ulrich,

Garry's SIL, Barry {?},

FLip{?}, JOHNBOY!

WE also need to start a  "positive energy flow" or "good Karma" for OTHER PURPOSES than just medical! Cases in point: "positive energy" to KEN for his saga of mortgage troubles, to ME for my saga of accident problems,To Jeffrey for his home/vehicle troubles, for example...so let me know a list of SERIOUS long-term lasting "sagas" that could use an injection of "positive energy flows" to solve, resolve, mitigate, or at least make "more bearable under  the circumstances" they are creating for those people they affect.

Evenin' Folks!

Janie...  Oh, Thank you Ma'am!  Howed she know I wajted a decaf????  Hmmmm....

Had a very "interesting" day out at the R&GV RR Museum.  Started out well except for the rain that greeted us as we got the train ready to depart...  Brakes worked fine, everything was in order, so we headed out to Midway Station to wait for the first load of passegers.  Got them all on board and safely delivered to Industry Station and went back for the next group.  Got them on board and brought them back to Industry and loaded the first group back on the cabooses.  Then it happened!

The brakes on the 80 tonner wouldn't release and we were stuck at the station!  None of us could figure out what was going on, brakes were stuck on and wouldn't release.  We did an air dump and the brakes set and then released on the cabooses, but not on the loco...  Before doing that we made everyone get off the train just to be on the safe side.  Ended up shuting the prime movers down and restarting.  During all this I tryed to let the passengers know that we were having brake trouble and we would be underway ASAP as the problem had been solved.  I also explained what all the hissing and stuff was and that everything was under control.  (I hoped!)  Our head mechanic was up at the other (North) end at the NYMT (playing the role of the Red Wings Mascot) so he was summoned to come to the South end and  "HELP!!!"  We were out of ideas and had tried everything we could think of so we tried to uncouple the loco and see if she could move under her own power...  If she could we would just bring in the H12-44 FM down to do service. No dice! We would have had to drag the 80 tonner up the Hill Block with the brakes locked on and decided that would not be good, so we called for track cars for the day.  In the mean time the head mechanic showed, walked into the cab and put the Loco Brake Bypass valve (the one that lets an engine have the brakes operated by another loco) back it was supposed to be and the brakes myseriously decided to work.... Whistling  Evidently one of the passengers getting a cab ride must have accidently kicked the lever into the bypass position causing the whole problem as they got off the loco.  OK, blood presure returned to normal and after we did the required brake tests the now 45 minute late passengers enjoyed their ride back up the line to meet the waiting (for 45 minutes) trolley!!!  I greeted my passengers by saying, "Hey, Amtrack ain't got nothin' on us, they don't!"  We had only one very upset passenger and she got on the other caboose so she could yell at the conductor all the way back up the line.....

Ken, after thinking about your predicament over night.  I would be willing to bet it is just another screw-up internally at BOA.  Their very big and powerful computer likely didn't tell one of the smaller and less powerfull computers all the info it needed to get it correct.  Kinda like the 1% always gets to keep more than us little guys, but somehow blames us for the ....  Policy.  Yep, policy is a good word.  Now if you were worth a few Billion that just wouldn't happen.  See it is your fault for not making more money!  Obviously you don't work hard enough....  (ducks flying beer can.)   Hmmmmm!  Hang in there!  It will get worked out right after you have your heart attack....   Maybe.  (above contains some snark... and is meant for entertainment.)

Hope we hear how Jeffery is doing soon!  In the meantime he has been added to an already too long list of those needing good thoughts and prayers.

Ken:

I would venture to say that if the "loan modification" is NOT over, as BOS claims by wanting more in a payment, so she the lawyer} still has a job to do!

Tell her the payment she negotiated to was superceded by BOS to a higher payment for some unknown reason{or reason htey buried in details},  they did NOT come to the terms she negotiated,so "there is still some work to do".

If she still says she can't help you, then try to find a pro-bono {free} lawyer at your local "leagal aide society" who will help you. {you can look in the phone book {or try calling 211-that is our local "help line"-it may help you too? Though you help line might be different and don't be afraid to contact the next largest city to you help line for "pro bono lawyers"}}

I am not a lawyer,. but I would be putting the higher payment into a seperate savings account to prove you have it to pay, but  that you DO NOT OWE the higher amount they are requesting, to again rip you off, should be a statement you could make. Becuase, as I understand it IF OFTEN you PAY he higher amount, then that may lock you into some sort of NEW CONTRACT with them!

I'll BET THEY are betting you can't or wont make the higher payment throwing you back into payment default and foreclosure again!.

She should still have to help you as her negotiations failed.

SOudns like BOS is trying to pull a fast one by getting you to pay the higher payment, more close to what they want for the loan.

ALso, BOS KNOWS her "services" may have run out ,so they can go after you for the higher payment cause they figure you won't be able to get a new lawyer.

BUT, always in leagal battles one must "save in escrow of sorts" the amount in dispute to prove that you can pay it, not just trying to get out of paying it.

And Yes, start collecing moving boxes and keep them until the BOS has your "new regualr lower payment" for at least a year under your belt. start saving moeny for 1st last and deposit too, SUE will just have to understand ther is NO EXTRA MONEY FOR ANYHTING!

They may have buried in the paperwork that she didn't clarify that they have the right to increase the payment, interest rate, etc at their will to benefit them.

REMEMBER all contracts are desinged to benefit the busines,, NOT YOU, the homeowner!

GOod luck
