Good morning, Chloe.  I will have coffee and a waffle, please.

Flip,  We are just 1 mile off I-5.  No mountains for you to climb.  Galaxy has not stated exactly where we are.  I will look for a train theme location.

Curt,  Great model.  The AMB's that I have done went together well.  I have done others that had backwards parts or missing parts, so I now lay everything out to check for that first.  I had one that 1 of the floor sections was backwards.  I chased those problems all the way through the kit.  It is good thing for kitbashing.Laugh

Jeffrey, There is that Airstream again.Thumbs Up

I am meeting some ladies, and we are off to the Sewing Expo today.  It is at the same location as the big train shows.

Later,  Sue

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.

Strong coffee in a  UNION PACIFIC  mug, please.

I bought a used sports car. It has heavy metal teeth where the grill should be, no windshiled, no heat/AC, no spoiler, and doesn't even have tires. It is being delivered today. What was I thinking?Whistling

Hope everyone is having a good day.

 Morning Folks!

 Flo, Coffee Please.

Todd I have no intentions of bring up cheating, or him hitting on customers at this point. Far as his cheating, I am just going by what he brag's about. But then again, he lies! Whistling I am going to stay out of the whole mess. Like I said, it will catch up with him on its own with no help from me.

Well we have a Storm thunderstorm going right now. Sure hope it is over by the time I get to work. I hate trying to write on wet paper.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have a short stack of buckwheat pancakes with pure maple syrup and a pot of freshly dripped dark roast coffee for the moment.  I'll be in the front booth this morning enjoying the nice day outside.  Only a little over a week 'til we lose an hour of sleep you know!

Currently 44°F here in the Finger Lakes under mostly cloudy skies.  High will be around 46°F.  Right on the edge of where I don't light the wood stove.....  May start it up and then just let it go out until this evening.

Hey guys, looks like the "Air Farce" done nailed one of them lion critters.  I heard they keep track of "kills" by painting a picture of it on the side of the plane..........  Oh, and thanks to all who have served in any of the branches!

Sue, you must be quite a gal!  Mountain Climbing, Model Railroading, and...... Sewing!  WinkLaugh

Got a bunch of things I want to get done today....  Very few in the "Must Do" category.  Nice to have a day to be able to catch up with some things.

Later!

Coffee refill, please.

***Garry, signal is OK depending on the phone and company. Since I no longer have one, it doesn't matter to me.

Looks like plenty of severe weather out there. Tonight could be interesting here, too. YeeHaw!

OK, the used sports car has been delivered and I have a pic of it to share. As I said, no windshield, no tires and no spoiler. However, it with do the quarter mile in "under 5". OK, so that's 5 minutes, not seconds.Laugh

Hope to be up to using it soon, as there is a ton of stuff that needs doing here, like over 200 stumps and many drainage ditches to be dug out.

Will be in the corner booth awhile. If I nod off, please let me be.  Cowboy Rob

Hi Zoe, yep, sorry I've been away (again). But you missed the tornado party we had around our parts. Of course, all I saw (while I was doing laundry late this morning (okay, mid-day) was a lot of rain, wind and some hail (but no noticeable damage to my car Smile). I'll have a BLT, some cheesey fries and a RBF, please, in honor of our early spring (even here in the Northwest). Dinner Thanks!

And everybody to the east of me, watch out as this front moves through! Surprise After Johnboy emailed me, I figured I'd better check in here (while everyone was counting noses, so to speak).

Found out that the Diner bookmark I had saved to my desktop was... uh, OLD! (like about 30+ pages behind, and I know I've posted twice since THAT bookmark) Saw that I had missed Rob getting the farm paid off (not to be confused with his 'buying the farm', which could be taken a couple of ways...Whistling), and I missed Sue's birthday (my apologies and a very belated Happy B-Day to the birthday gal)Oops

Ulrich, that German rail bus that you mentioned (that Jeff had posted the photo of) sounds sorta like the German equivalent of the Budd RDC units (which are a bit of a favorite of mine).Wonder if they sounded the same, since both had similar power mechanisms, I think. And it did my heart good to see your mood get turned around after that job interview/physical! Yeah

Galaxy, sorry to hear about your 'trainnut' friends grandmother passing, but it does sound like she had lived a long and full life. AngelAngel

I see that Todd has been busy enjoying his 'holiday' from the Williamsville FLOOR WARS (by doing absolutely nothing! I am envious! Smile, Wink & Grin) And Todd, I won't tell Brenda that you managed to NOT do anything for a day (hate to see you all black and blue..). Whistling Oh, hey, yesterday I noticed that some new construction here at the edge of town looks like it will be a Menard's (lumber & hardware store). Should give our Lowe's and local lumber/hardware places a run for their money (and maybe lower prices next time I need to get MRR'ing materials)

David, congratulations on your moving into the wonderful world of W**K. (I think...) Several others have given you some good suggestions for your new position there (especially about treating the people well 'downstream' of you, which I don't think will be too hard for you).

Darren, was that Coors reefer car an older Roundhouse one, by any chance? Looks nice, whoever made it. Thumbs Up

Broadway - how's the housing in SOUTH Dakota? Maybe Ulrich could commute from there to w**k? Wink And hey - did you really have a Lion on the side of your Phantom, or did you PhotoShop that on? Wink

Garry - excellent shot of that North Coast Limited (and of your grandson, of course)! Hope you're dodging this storm front moving through today. Storm

Jeff, you're gonna get me convinced into getting one of those AIrstreams, if you keep posting those great pics of yours. Big Smile

Terry, keep your pics coming - love 'em! (And, is that grain elevator in your 'siding meet' photo an actual structure, or is it on the backdrop?)

Curt, like that AMB kit you posted. Thumbs Up I have a couple/few laser kits (different brands), but haven't started on them just yet. (No excuse; just haven't started...)

Inch/Mike, good to see you stop by (and, to hear how Jerry & Sallie are doin'). (Although I'm sure it's against their usual procedures...) Hope that Social Insecurity has somebody with real sense reviewing your case and that you get re-approved until the next round in who-knows-how-many years... Dunce Your kids 'n' grandkids still doing well (and you and Debbie still a'sitting for them)? And Wow that's a bunch of hail in your picture!

Rob, at least you had the farm paid off before you got your 'sports car'.... Smile, Wink & Grin (You had me going  before you posted the pic of it, you rascal!). Laugh What's new with the layout(s), by the way?

Ray, sounds like Sue has a well-rounded set of hobbies/interests, all right! Of course, you keep pretty busy yourself, between community activities, Scouts, and MRR'ing. Thumbs Up

Ken, your "I-A-L" guy sounds like one of those - y'know, who keep on acting 'stupid' and do NOT learn much at all in their life. They tend to end up reaping about what they're sowing (and I do not mean 'wild oats', either...) As you said, just stay out of his way and wait to watch the big fall that is gonna be coming for him.[:-O]

Hmm, never heard of a flying bobcat (until now)...

This morning, went by and got two new tires put on the car (after the old ones were taken off), and after that, took laundry to the washeria for the weekly necessaries. While I was there was when the storm front/hail/rain-deluge/tornado (two supposed sightings in the area) came through. I was checking the radar using both my laptop and the (WiFi) iPod, and once the nasty parts of the front got close to Cape, it moved over/past us fairly quickly. Seemed like it had been slower when it was further out in the next county (but I could be wrong). A bit before I got my laundry done (power never did quit there, even when the worst of the storm was moving through), it had cleared off and the sun came back out again. Thank Heaven for that!

After laundry got taken home, I went and got a new pair of tennies (old ones were getting too loose on my feet). Was about to get another pair of pants for w**k/general wear, but when I stuck my hands in the pockets in the changing room (I always check the pockets on pants before I buy them), the one pocket felt like it had been 'short-sheeted' on me. [:-O] Turned out, when they had done the little 'staple' stich to reinforce the outside corner of that pocket, they hadn't checked that the pocket lining was out of the way. So no luck on finding a pair to fit me. (If I could loose about six inches around my waist, I might have more available pants in my size, but that would take a while...)

Order from Walthers came in today (some figures, couple of Floquil colors, as well as Dewie's Dozer, Paul's Produce and some other detail stuff), and last week I had got some turnouts while Walthers had the track on sale. Today or tomorrow I want to figure a good color of 'faded red' to paint the elevator kit I started on a while back. And reading about our Diners putting together their laser-cut kits has me thinking about those ones I haven't started, too...

Think I'll have another RBF please, Zoe. Thanks again.

Prayers for safety of those in the path of this storm front, for healing and rest, and for some fun time (MRR'ing and/or other) this weekend for all the Diners (present/accounted for, or MIA's). AngelAngel

Blessings,

Getting lots of rain here. I thought I was hearing thunder. Turns out it was a massive amount of rain hitting the roof. Never seen it rain that hard before. Rain chance went from 40% to 70% and we're under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 pm. I'll be shutting the computer down shortly.

***Jim, the (HO) layout is growing up a bit. A lot of debauchery taking place. Fortunately, it is out of view from the parade goers and children. I'll need to take a pic of what's going on next time I'm down there. As for the (N) layout, not a thing to report on.

Toooo funny, they just added a 4th alert here, this time for "Local Pollen". Gee, with tornadic storms about, I wonder how many folks will be concerned over local pollen?

Hey Gang,

Would you all keep an ear to the ground as to the state of our Buddy Cuda- Ken,

we just had a clip on the news here that Maryville IL.   has pretty well been wiped off  the map.

Sure hope it isn't so and that there has been an error, but this usually isn't the case.
