Welcome Diners!

I have: spit polished the Rivet Counter, Lubed all moving parts, Cleaned out the ice machine, Finished the dishes that weren't broken inthe move, Waxed the Floor {Oh, My, I forgot to put out the "Slippery Floor" sign!!!}, polished the vinyl booth seats, and filled the coffee urns with fresh coffee!
Whew I am exhausted!
I figured we haven't really been to this part of the USA, so why not?
Decaf coffee in a STORMY SOUTHERN mug, please.
Pacific Northwest, eh? Well, I see my sister out gazing at the falling snowflakes, but they are not sticking. Oh, and my Dad celebrating his 88th(?) birthday on his new electric wheels.
Thunder boomers are here. Just a little orange blob on the radar...yawn! Already grabbed a shower so if a tornado did blow me away, the search dogs wouldn't turn up their noses when they found the body.

Hey guaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah *crash*
I'm ok.
Started filling out FASFA stuff online. I really don't want to go to college, and alot of teachers are shoving it down our throats. (Not going there) All I want to do is get my welding certs.
TIG welding's actually not bad. it's one of my favorite methods.
Terry- I don't suppose that you would mind if I brought my snowmobiles up there would you?
Rob- Yikes. twisters already? I can wait for that up here.
Backs- I feel sorry for you guys. I try and take care of my back, in all reality, I've only got one and the Germans haven't made a whole back replacement yet. Hey Urlich, aren't you guys a good 10 years ahead of the US medically? I heard that somewhere.
Pacific Northwest huh? As long as we aren't in California I'm good. Feels good to be back in the US of A

When in doubt. grab a hammer.
If it moves and isn't supposed to, get a hammer
If it doesn't move and is supposed to, get a hammer
If it's broken, get a hammer
If it can't be fixed with a hammer... DUCK TAPE!
Evening All,
Had computer problems earlier but MOH fixed them. Somehow my internet connection was turned off. I laid the track today and it works 100% better, I can run a K4s through the entire siding at speed without any derailment problems, so that makes me .
I do have a issue though with power. When I put either of the double turnouts in the diverging route the power goes away in the turnout. This is the same for both if them. I've asked a friend to come look at them to try to figure it out.
Terry- Yikes with the snow. I'm with Jeff on the snow.
Rob- Glad your back is doing better.
Everybody have a good night,

Well...... here I just got so I could converse a bit in Japanese, and galaxy brings us back stateside. (I don't don't think he ever did learn any of the language over there.... Otherwise he would have been upset with some of the stuff I said about him....)
Oh, Janie, place looks good, i see you took down all the decorations we had over across the pond...... Just a cup of decaf please.
I had to speak Canadian all evening... I was the only South of the Border guy that showed up for the Board of Directors meeting. We got a lot of w*rk done and it was a very productive meeting. I'm looking forward to working with these guys for a while. I also managed to get another Fast Tracks turnout almost made and some cork roadbed laid today.
I'll go back and sit by the stove in the back and get warm for a while.

Good evening everyone. I love the Pacific Northwest, even Nor-Cal.
I'll have an Apple Pie ala mode with whipped cream and a cafe mocha to accompany please?
It's two minutes after 12am, March 1st, in lovely Lancaster PA, and I do not work until 6pm tonight so I get a whole day to just relax woohoo! I may job-search, read, work on a freight car kit, I don't know yet.

Good Morning!
I got up in the middle of the night, just to perform my duty of moving the Diner to its March location. I took that supersonic flight to Japan, only to found out the Diner had been moved already!
Not a bad place, the Pacific Northwest. Certainly had the best time of my life while I was there as a kid of 17. Bainbridge Island was the place, surrounded by the waters of Puget Sound, just opposite of Seattle. I have lots of fond memories on taking the ferry to Seattle and watching schools of Orcas plowing through the water, memories of wonderful hikes through the Olympic Mountains ... Those were good days!
Thanks, Galaxy, for moving the Diner to one of my favorite places in the US!
Ken - I am keeping my fingers crossed that your work issue will be settled and this Larry gets what he deserves. Unfortunately, it´s those sneaky creeps who often win - what a world!
Jeff - I love that rail bus! It was introduced in Germany in the early 1950´s to make branch line passenger service more economical and was actually quite effective, though not really comfortable. They were built like buses and had a simple truck diesel engine for power, giving them a unique sound. They disappeared from German rails in the mid 1980´s, many of them were sold to countries ll over the world. The East German Reichsbahn built a copy of it, which was appropriately nicknamed "Ferkeltaxi" or "piglet´s taxi".
Have a good one!
Ulrich, as far as I Am The Larry Show I think all I really have to do is sit back and watch him go BOOM! If I get the chances, I will throw some gas on the fire.

Why, ULRICH, you are welcome!!! I just thought I am not sure when or IF we were last in this part of the country, so I thought what better place than here!
Sorry if I "stole" your thunder, but you WERE able to lock the old diner for me, er US! Just t hought it was getting late and time to move on!
RAY- I spoke all the Japanese I know, then some!!! I don't know if when I will ever be there , MOH would dearly love to go, but I have no desire, so I don't know when I will need more Japanese!!
Wintery mix out there this AM...careful and steady as she goes!!!
(flings door open) OK!! LOCK the bathroom door!! NObody let Ray in the bathroom today. No WAY! He goes somewhere else. I saw what he ate before he left Japan. We won’t be able to use that bathroom all month. Super great guy and we love him to death, but we have GOT to draw the line somewhere. Good Morning!! Coffee and a waffle please. With real butter and maple syrup of course, oh and could I have a couple thick slices of brown sugar bacon. Thanks. Sunny, with a high near 54

Happy Mar 1st. Sorry I didn’t get any cards.
Never been up here wester than Wyoming or norther than California. Death Valley actually. Only the Army would put a post in Death Valley (shakes head). Of course, The Marines have one basically across the road, but at least they picked the side with trees. Well.., only 29, but still…. I remember the most important thing of all about that place. Don’t touch the frogs. They’ll pee and die. Yup. “they’ll pee and die”. You just can’t make stuff up any better.
Well like some of you, I celebrated my extra accumulation of time in the form of an extra day doing what all people on a holiday should do. Nothing . Yes folks I admit yesterday I…did…NOTHING! I sat at this computer and watched Ziva, then sat in my chair and watched who knows what on TV until one, then Ziva again all afternoon. Felt good actually. Kinda guilty but good. I could have gone in the train room I suppose, but I can’t do anything in there really until I clean it up and that is w**k. I think Leap day should be a holiday. Now THATday only comes around every FOUR years. I think I’ll make it one here.
Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!

Not my day today.
Went to a job interview this morning, but failed the medical. I was kind of expecting this, but I was still hoping to pass.
Seems as if I have run out of luck these days.
I was just wondering when I had laughed the last time, must be ages ago.
Better to leave now before I start to pull you guys down.
Good Morning.
Wet flurries ending this morning then 60% chance of showers this afternoon.
to all those suffering from the latest storms across the US....
to you as well Ulrich....I know all too well about how that must feel..stick around..we are here for you...
Going to try to finish off the transfer of all my stuff from the old computer to the newer computer today..got the email from a couple of the companies that I need to reauthorize the programs from last night so that will get done this morning...

Good morning, Chloe. I didn't have as far to commute this morning. I will have my usual coffee in a NP mug, please.
Thanks, Galaxy, for moving the diner. I can't believe that you guys were jawing so late last night.
Rob, Yes, your sister saw snowflakes yesterday, but I bet she has at least an inch this morning.
Curt, You are moving fast. What industry do you plan there?
Ulrich, You wouldn't be as happy out here today. We have snow and black ice to deal with, again. You know Washington State, 2 flakes of snow and town shuts down.
Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Good morning. It's 68° and cloudy with patchy fog. The high will be 80° and there's a 20% chance of rain.Well here it is the first of the month. Again! That means it's a day for paying bills. Again! Most of the bills I pay online. There's a couple of them I have to go into town to pay. Some companies are still in the stone age and insist on the face to face thing. Oh well, I have to go to town anyway for gas and groceries. No plans for layout work today.
Morning All,
Supposed to be 85-88 F Today. My friend from the club is coming on Sunday before I go to w**k in the afternoon. I did some reading on the PECO website and I think I know how to fix the problem but I want to check with him first. Nobody carries PECO here locally so if I mess the turnout up I would have to order another one.
Today I have to go to Lowes and I'm going to check out Flip's train shop in Mt.Dora. I will probably start working on the buildings that I have since I really can't do anything on the layout until the power issues are resolved.
Ulrich- I remember the street cars from the early 70's but I don't remember the bumpers on them.
Sue- I have been to Puget Sound (Bangor) 1 time during October. I found it cold and wet but beautiful scenery and the wildlife was everywhere. I still remember the seals laying around next to the sub I was on. I found that amazing. I bought 3 small wood kits from American Model Builders to go into that space (generic business). When I put the farm in on the other side I think I will be putting in a large pond.
Everyone take care and prayers for those in need.
Good Morning Modelers!
It's 33F and Cloudy with snow on the way later today so we are getting a start on our March snow totals right away. Cup of coffee to go please and toss in a couple of donuts too please...

Ah yes, the Pacific North-wet. Don't know about Death in the Valley or how many palms they have across the street, the LION was stationed on Whidby Island, Very Pretty up there. Him went to Deception Pass (Had to hitch hike to get up there, but Navy people like to give rides to others. They know what it is like to be stuck on a base without wheels. (Unlike them Air Farce people).
So. Seattle, They got a monorail up there, and a restaurant on top of a space needle. That was a fairly long bus ride from the base. I think there was one bus each way daily. Din't leave much time for seeing Seattle.
I have a lady friend up there, she send me one of the stuffed leopards that I have in my room.

Good morning,
was on the radio this morning promoting our railroad museum here in Paducah.
Looks like storms are on the horizon for tomorrow here again ( don't need anymore)
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have one of those waffles I heard about with real butter and lots of Maple Syrup (local is fine), a side order of bacon, and a cup (with several refills) of dark roast coffee in a R&GV RR mug. Thank you Ma'am!
Farthest West I ever got on this continent was when the plane stopped in Vancouver to refuel and change some passengers out for others about 13 years ago. I was on my way to the Philippines at the time... I stayed on the plane as we couldn't go anywhere without going through customs and there wasn't any time to do much anyway. Less than an hour IIRC.
Currently 41°F here in the Finger Lakes with a high around 40°F....... Yep, THATs what it says! Today is a "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes" kind of day. We will have cloudy skies with rain showers and some sn*w. Something for everyone. Curt?? 88°F??? Man I'm glad I don't have to live down there! I would melt I think. 88°............. Sure hope your air conditioner is operating!
Prayers for all the folks in the path of the tornadoes. Stay safe and be blessed!
Later!
Jeff that is one cool airstream!
