These will likely become WRS sand cars. Now to hunt down some Athearn 2 bays so I can make my own. Oh, and if you don't know what that is, that is the beginning of operating hoppers...

Alex, is that the ol late Sleep parents Blindfold Im up and Im doing train work by Computer light so I have something of trains in my life because I cant do any train work during the day since homework took up all my Time trick?Yea, I do that too. Um... Maybe I had too much Coffee and perhaps Im abusing the Smiles. See if you can decipher it. Laugh

Well, I personally dont like Chemistry. We have two days to do a big assignment each week. I conclusively proved that there is only 3 hours in those two days with other classes to do the 7 hour assignment.

Dude, my physics teacher is stupid, I hvaen't done my homework once and still get credit for it and ya know how you feel dude. This girl I liked was hot, played me and then went back to her ex after he broke up with his girlfriend. Ya we don't talk no more. And its ok, don't feel bad, my semi-friend got arrested for driving 117 on a 65 freeway and ya, he is so stupid. And his date ditched him on homecoming so don't feel too bad.

I hate physics labs. I give up (only because I still have tomorrow night).

Taylor, I'm just taking it easy and trying to wait for the right one. I've had chances but didn't take them because I knew it wouldn't work.
And of course, just as I thought I had the right one, she changed. Cause it makes sense to go back to your boyfriend who has cheated on you on more than one occasion, right? Of course it does...
But the right one will come eventually...

Joe, dude good luck with the ebay thing and dude, the sophmores, whoo they are hot and somewhat slutty. But it will do, gets you ready fr college anyway.

And Sawyer, sweet go get in a fight with the other stands jk, I dont think anyone would want to and you don't have a dance? Thats the highlight of homecoming. And ya, this was probably the best homecmoing yet. And I didn't even get to keep partying afterwards like most of my friends.

Well got to go.

Joe, I don't think we have a dance (at least I nvr hear of one). Most of the girls in my grade I just dnt click with anyways, for any number of reasons. I'm pretty much just saying "forget it" at this point. I'm going to the game to cheer my head off and lose my voice though lol. Hope you get the 3010 man! My GP50 project is also needed for my operating scheme. I need a 4-axle loco to run the NS interchange cars. until I get that built though my GP35 (with new patchout decals that I'm getting from a friend) will deliver the interchange cars.

Our game and dance are this Saturday. Game, mostly just go to hang with friends. Dance, going, but don't even know why I'm dropping the 25 bucks. Most, if not all, girls in my grade (well, school, actually) are either slutty, ugly, or wierd (or some combination of the three...).

I'm hoping to get the Atlas NS 3010 for Christmas. There's two on ebay for a pretty good price, so hopefully I can convince my parents to take the deal. And yes, it does actually fit into my operating plan! It's not one of those things that I don't need but want anyway. Without the 3010, the H-02 wouldn't be able to deliver cars to the yard (unless they could move themselves...)

Taylor, you lucky son of a gun. This friday is the homecoming game; I'll probably go chill in the student section again

Hey Guys,

Sorry busy weekend. Homecoing was last night, best one yet, i don't think I was not with a girl the whole night. Big Smile

Everyone, everything is looking good, and sawyer, there is a bridge/shortline here in az that that is called the apache railway. It connects with the BNSF, bad news is that it is all alco railroad but other then that, would be a fun project.

Going to bed, long weekend, wish there wasn't school tomorrow!

Wow, looks like you guys are making real progress!

John, layout is really coming along!

Sawyer, not sure if you'd call that progress or regress, but either way, it's a step forward (or is it a step backwards?) Hmm

If I have time next weekend, there may be a possibility of completing benchwork. But it's too far off to gauge my chances.

John, it does look like you had fun, congrats man!

GG, what can I say but as per usual, great work!

Well, yesterday was a dark day for ANRR execs. The line was officially abandoned. Those with weak stomachs, look away now (sorry for the shakiness, took it with my cell phone and didn't have a tripod or anything to put the camera on to keep it steady)

Well, Alex, I will certainly know who to send my cars to for painting. Thats an amazing job! Yes, I have been planning to have the track above N scale roadbed using dirt as ballast, and then the HO scale roadbeded track will be WS gray ballast.

You better have some track immersed in dirt. That's one thing that just seems natural on lightly used lines.

Here's something that should be returning home in a few hours...

It has just occurred to me that you guys have seen no pictures of the BWTC in Utah. Watch out guys! Here they come!

First, the main purpose of the room. This is what I moved to the basement for: the ability to have my railroad in my bedroom, which drastically increases productivity.

Then, the afterthought. As it just so happened, I accidently put something better than a sleeping in this position. Smile

Moving on to The Evolution of a Scene:

Scene 1: Track Planned

Scene 2: Roadbed down (and track placed on top of it to make it look like I've actually done something)

Scene 3: Everything laid

Scene 4: And lastly, the most important part, running trains.

I now have a grand total of 522 scale feet laid, i.e. 6 feet.

When this was finished, Bradwood residents gathered together for the first train to Camp 2! I am standing to the far right. My good friend and part owner of the BWTC, Fred Bradley, is at the bottom of the picture. This was a static shot, so, once I got a three foot lead laid, I fired up the train.

It was a version of an inglenook, only it had two tracks. I immediately dove into the box of remnants from the IVRW, got out a few cars, and quickly started a switching game. The object of the game was to arrange the cars so that all but one would be on one spur, while the other, a track cleaning car, would be on the other, cleaning the track. Ah, but I complicated it for myself. I also had to switch the cars in such a way that once I was done switching, I could easily exchange the Kadee kits for the track cleaning car, and end on the note of the locomotive and logging cars on one track, and the other cars on the second spur. I had a blast! Here are some shots:

At the ending note, I set up some figures. Just a whim, I guess

Hope you all enjoyed this update! I plan to get issue 3 of the chronicle out soon. -John

So today is my first work day on my Eagle Project! Wish me luck!
Oh, and speaking of THAT... yesterday, the school where I'm doing my project did a dress down day. Kids gave a donation of a dollar or more, and in total raised THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That will give me the $230 dollar balance for the lumber, and almost another $150 for paint and other stuff. This is  absolutely great!

Sawyer, you have way too many ideas! Stop thinking! Wink

Taylor, on the last DPM kits I painted, I airbrushed the brick and then handpainted the trim. that was a pain, but I used some paint I had on-hand for the trim, so it was worth doing that instead of spending the money for trim colors (4 kits).

Tyler and John, congrats on your trains.com things!

Well, I've had another railroad idea: an ATSF spun-off 1980's branchline called the Apache Northern, set in the California produce area. I may build this with code 80 flextrack on the benchwork for the CSRY whenever that gets put up to practice track laying and wiring. I can run my U23B (say it was purchased with the branch) and GP35 in their current liveries. Hey, it's an idea, which I'll be reasearching at some point, who knows if it will ever be built.

This weekend is pretty much a wash, I'll be working on my english project. I'm also ordering some Packers gear today. It feels weird spending money on something other than trains, but I need some new Packers gear.

Maybe. Wink. This is actually the second time Ive been featured in it. The first time was way back in 78. Not 1978, Im way to young to have seen those days. In episode 78.

Taylor, if you're using an airbrush try spraying the trim color first, then masking it and spraying the brick color
