Jeffrey is the new in the box gas tank an exact replacement for the old gas tank?  Sure hope it is.  Should make it a bit easier to install and get everything safe.  Any luck with rebuilding the steering column to work with your wireing?

Yes, it's an exact factory match. As for the column, no word on that yet.

Mornin folks. Well took a few pics last night, my dad fixed the air compressor's plug so I could finally airbrush. No pics of the streamlined passenger cars I painted (FINALLY) but do have some of the first coat of paint on the Dixie Quick-Mix Cement Bagging plant. Need to get more paint for at least a second coat though. I have a pic of the progress on my yard's industrial district. Also scratchbuilt the little guard shack: And here's the scene I can't wait to complete:

 Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, how about a short stack of buckwheat pancakes with Maple Syrup and a cup of my favorite dark roast coffee in a FGLK Mug.

Woke up with a headache this morning.  (May be from Jeffrey hitting me with his shoe last night....) Didn't even wake up until close to 10AM, so breakfast is a bit late, and I still have the same amount of stuff to get done.  Tonight is MLK Committee meeting so I have to do the finances and pay some bills.  Still have to finish a small strip of lawn.  And THAT is just the tip of the iceberg.

Jeffrey is the new in the box gas tank an exact replacement for the old gas tank?  Sure hope it is.  Should make it a bit easier to install and get everything safe.  Any luck with rebuilding the steering column to work with your wireing?

Lee, good luck with the basement.  Hope you have a few dehumidifiers!

[edit] Oh look, I have top honors.  Zoe just put it on the tab, I'll settle up later.......

Well, it is time to face the day, so I best get moving!

Later!

 Good Afternoon,

well, the nice spell is over, we are back to the usual weather - wet! I am not feeling up to speed, something´s cooking up again. Still no news about the job - that makes me really nervous!

Had to pay one of those unforeseen invoices - garbage collection fee of $ 40 - there goes my MRR money again. Nuttin´ left Sad

Galaxy - my Angel for your son´s surgery!

Lee - a flooded basement is no fun! How do you get rid of the dampness?

Chris - sorry you had to part with that great looking truck!  Such a beauty!

Chloe, I´ll have a RBF, please.

Good morning. It's 79 and partly cloudy. I can see that the weather guesser lied last night as there's a 50% chance of rain later today.

Not much on the schedule for today. I have some new parts coming in this week for the van. Finding parts for a 30 year old vehicle isn't easy but if I turn over enough rocks I eventually find what I'm looking for. One of the parts is a new gas tank that's still in the box. Another part I'll have to hunt for is a windshield wiper motor. The old one works but has a habit of sometimes stopping on it's own. Eventually I'll put an electric fuel pump in close to the gas tank so I'll have it there in case the mechanical pump goes out. Not much to report on the layout front. The van is taking all my extra time, money and energy. I have lots of the first, not much of the second and not enough of the third.

Good morning all!

A strong cup of Hawaiian Kona Coffee please...pick a mug.

GMTRacing

Good Morning All,

Yes I usually stop at Lantz's when I'm up Watkins Glen way just to look around.

Galaxy - way to go! I know it's painful, but if you can just pick at it a bit each week you'll be better off in no time. We all felt better at thome when I was finally able to clear the construction debris from the yard (come to think of it, the neighbors were happier too Big Smile).

Lantz's { wholesaletrains.com} is one of my favorite local hobby shops, though I tend to spend more if I go into the store!

There was no painful part about cleaning out the closet, EXCEPT FOR MY BACK. I had no problem separating clothes and getting rid of them and was amazed at how much "garbage" there was in there too. If my Back wasn't in the very bad shape it's in, I woulda cleaned out a lot more closets and shtuff and had a massive {and cheap} yard sale. Not so much to make lots of money, but to provide those with something maybe they can use that we no longer can, and to amke a few bucks at it. Everything under $3, and bag sale in the aftermnoon. But my back isn't up to it would probably horrify my neurosurgeon if I did. My other half has to work and isn't so much into the work of cleaning out clutter, though mind you when it's my clutter, the story can be different.

Perhaps I can do little bits by little bits when my back is feeling up to it and the pain killers are working.

See Jeffrey hasn't been in yet today. He worries me when he doesn't check in. Hope he's feeling oK. In our shape, OK is the best we can hope for.

WARNING WARNING: We had the carbon minoxide alarm go off last night in the middle of the night, so we called in the NYSEG people to check the Nat gas furnace and water heater for leaks. Turns out the water heater wasn't venting well, and the flame needs to be serviced,as it only burned orange and not blue. Oh Goodie! It is a new law here in NY that all dwellings must have carbon minoxide detectors. SO if you live in NY and haven't got yours yet GET ONE, it could have saved our lives last night!

well, see you all later.

Morning. Just coffee please. Gotta make it short. I must get the bookwork for the Church done and the yard mowed today in time for work. It is suppose to rain 2 to 3 inches tomorrow. I hope they are wrong.

Lee- Whew! You said you're basement flooded while you were gone and I was thinking of the worst. I'm glad only 2"Shock, well if it had to flood at all of course, instead of the way some have flooded in Springfield when the sewers couldn't handle the water last week. It would have been bye bye RR.  By the way, out of curiosity, how high is yours? Mines 40" I should be able to take a good flood, but the way Brenda's Mom's basement flooded it wouldn't be high enough.

Well, I best get a movin' Maybe I can squeeze a stop in to Toddland (of which I'm king)

Have a Great Day!!!

Morning all, Trucker's special breakfast with some 2% milk, thank you kindly......

Well now have another working engine with a DCC decoder installed, soldered in a LokSound Select decoder and speaker in a Walthers Trainline GP7, engine works, and the sound works, and I'm happy.  Did not reinstall lights yet, still deciding on whether I want bulbs or LEDs installed.  Also found out Decoder Pro does not have the software yet for the LokSound Selects, so will have to try to program it with the DCC system, should be interesting.......

My dad now has a new project, sister's boyfriend gave him a used boat trailer, and dad is converting it into an ATV trailer.  Will be quite a project for him, but should look very nice when it's done.

Well, time to get back to work on the layout, going to try to get most of it wired today and tomorrow.  We shall see what happens.....

Good morning.  Its finally sunny, and no tornado watch Big Smile.

Well I'm off to work in 30 minutes.  That's a all day event Blindfold, so no MRR for me today.  Then when I get off, I will have to cut grass.

I did start on my gas station yesterday, and the decals that came with the kit were to old.  They just deteriorated in the water.  I did find a few I like that Tomkat has on the one topic.  Maybe later this week I can work on it some more.  I just didn't expect the building to be as small as it is.

Lee......That sucks about the basement.   I know down south we didn't put our washer/dryer on anything other than leaving them on the floor.  The first thing people tell me here is (up north), to get them off the ground.  Pour some cement or something, incase it floods.   The bad thing is you have to lose something to prepare for next time.   Hope you get everything cleaned up.

Good morning all,

The trip to Michigan went well, my son graduated high School on Friday and the party was on Saturday, drove home on Sunday.  Sunday morning I got the call my basement flooded.  This time I was better prepared and had kept most things off the floor.  The last flood was 4 years ago and I lost carpeting and the washer and dryer. The only issue now is a film of grey that the storm water left behind.  I hear the city’s storm drain system failed, flooding several intersections with 2-3 feet of water, I only had 2” maybe. Garry and I, well our schedules didn’t work out this time to meet for coffee or lunch in Michigan, maybe next time…

Good Morning All,

A regular and a donut in a sack please Zoe. 54 and sunny out just now with sunshine and a high of 77 predicted today. Good to see some of the missing regulars stopping in. Where in Birmingham is that hobby shop? I try to drop in local places when I'm in the area but all I ever found was a Hobbytown out towards Leeds.

Ray - I wondered about Seneca Falls because I remember a road sign for it, and Selector has the place on his layout as well. I suppose I could have just Map Quested it but then you miss all the backround info.Smile

Chris - If the Dragonslayer is under a weatherproof tarp, that's half the battle. You know the trick of putting dryer sheets in the interior to keep the critters out right? And now that the weather is nice you can put some more fuel stabilizer in, turn the motor over (even by hand) and spray some oil down the cylinders (we use spray engine fog, pull the plugs and have at it with a bit of spray in each bore). Not much you can do about the paint and tires except move the truck a bit occasionally so the tires don't always rest on the same spot and dust the old girl off now and then.

Well, time to get to it. We've got lots to do to get ready and only a day between trips to get it done so I'd best be going.   Cul, J.R.

I wouldn't pick on Jeff like that Ray, he might use those new shoes ON you.

Well, I'm now all caught up on the happenings in and around the diner.  Thanks for not running away with the page count on me.  Nothing for me tonight as I'm about to head to bed.  Tomorrow is my day off from w**k and I've been voluntold that I'm helping Amy clean the house.  Only a few new things have happened in my neck of the woods recently.  We had to take Mikayla (our now 7-month old) up to Birmingham, AL to Children's Hospital to be allergy tested.  Amy noticed that Mikayla has had some pretty bad excema (sp?) and was afraid that it is/would be some kind of food allergy.  Test came back negative on that one, so no real worries there.

I did, however; find a hobby shop up there, guess I could call it my LDHS (long-distance hobby shop as its 100 miles one-way to it).  I really enjoyed the place, its a husband/wife team that runs the place, and best of all, he keeps mostly southern road names in stock, AND he ships to you!  Yeah, I'm making up a wishlist so that Amy can get stuff for me.  Whilst I was there, I did get three things, first two was two bottles of paint, CSX blue and CSX yellow (hopefully those'll be "close enough" to match YN3 paint on locomotives currently), and a 50' PS 5277 boxcar in CSX paint.  Going to weather it a little and strap it behind my SD40-2 for some pictures here soon.  Also plan on painting my GP40-2 in CSX paint and getting some shots of it.  I hope that my hand-painting skills are still there (they should be with all the aircraft, car and truck models I've built).  Well enough of that, if I keep going on, I'll have a book here.

PC, glad to see you sir, also glad to hear that your wife is doing well, sorry to hear about your son, he is in our prayers.

Chris, glad to hear that you sold one of the fire apparatus, and also glad to hear that you are able to maintain visitation rights.

Robby, that's a nice house.  Prayers for a good appraisal coming from us to y'all.

All right, all right, enough of my rambling.  I'm headed off to bed, goodnight to all and I'll see y'all in the morning.

Evenin'

Flo, I need another refill on the decafe, Please and Thank You.

I got about half way through the 2nd. turnout before I ran out of steam.  I should get it finished tomorrow with any luck.  They say after you have done a few of them you can do one in about 45 minutes.....  I have about an hour in this one now.

A couple pages back somebody asked if I was changing brands on turnouts.  Well, I have got a couple of reasons for going with the Fast Tracks.  One is I do like to hand lay track.  It usually looks better, and is cheaper and performs just as well if not better than "store bought" flex track.  The other reason is the next NMRA AP Certificate I am working on is the Civil Engineering Certificate and one requirement is to hand lay several different types of turnouts and crossings.  You have to earn a merit award for 3 of the following: Crossover, Double Crossover, Single Slip Switch, Double Slip Switch,  Crossing, Gauntlet Track, Gauntlet Turnout, Dual Guage Turnout, and Guage Separation Turnout.  I will be doing a crossover, double crossover, and a crossing.  They all have to be working (you have to run a loco over and through the trackage, and each has to meet NMRA standards.

J. R. we only run the Diesels and cabooses a few times during the Summer.  The rest of time it is Trolleys for half of the run, and track cars for the rest of the way down to the R&GV Museum.  Rides start at the New York Museum of Transportation a couple miles up the road.  Seneca Falls?  Hmm, there used to be a village called Seneca Falls around here.  Oh yeh!  They disbanded.  So Seneca Falls is no more, sorry!  Well they still call it Seneca Falls as it is in the Township of Seneca Falls although there is a movement to rename the place "Bedford Falls"....  For tourist attraction......Whistling  OK, Seriously, Seneca Falls is at the Northern end of Cayuga Lake one lake to the East of Seneca Lake.  Geneva is the Northern end of Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen is on the Southern end of Seneca Lake.  Your crew will be about 35 miles South of Seneca Falls/Geneva.  BTW the Southern end of Cayuga Lake is Ithaca, NY. Map

Chris, looks like you still have a real collectible there.  Cool!

Jeffrey, looks like you got new shoes.....  (hey everybody, get a load of Jeffrey's clod hoppers!  All he needs is a bolt through his neck and he could do the part of Herman Munster....... ) OK, Jeffrey, I was just kidding, Really!  Best get out of here............ Ow!  Hey! Cut it out, Ow......

Just a diet Pepsi for me tonight, we just finished a great homemade beef stew for dinner, Chef and homemade bread, (well a bread machine).

Finished diging out some lawn behind our RV parking so the utility trailer will have a place to sit when we get our new travel trailer next Saturday.  Also filled the area in with a yard of crushed limestone.  My back is killing me...  Sleepy

So, Barry is trying to scare everyone by playing the heart stopping game.  NOT GOOD!  Glad you're not good at this game Barry!

Yeah, my son isn't real happy about this surgery, but we have to wait until he's done growing before we can do it........a few years off right now.

And the layout hasn't seen a lot of action......what else is new, huh?

Evening guys!

Welp, we missed the tornados and actually didn't even get any heavy hail like we usually do in such storms.

Hey!! I actually took some pain killers for my back and started on a big project!! I cleaned out my half of the master BR closet!! Since I have gained some weight, I can't wear the mediums or larges any more, and actually not even the extra larges. I kept 4 XL shirts and got rid of rest I can't wear anymore. If I loose weight again, I will have a few of the smaller size to wear, but not be overloaded. I can always go buy new clothes if I really loose some weight. SIX bags of clothes to go to the SAlvation Army Thrift Store! ANd I still have a crammed full dresser and a storage cube rack to go through to weed out what I can't or won't wear anymore, but that is for another day.

WE also threw out 6 bags of just "garbage" or stuff not good enough to donate. WE had a pile of six pillows that were rather musty smelling as they had sat there so long...at least the 10 years I have been here since moving in with my other half who had already lived here 6 years.... {when we buy new ones we tend to keep the old ones stuffed into the closet for company on the roll away or "just in case"- dont ask me "just in case what...."}. we will have to get those "demusters"to put in the corners of the closet. Taht left at least 4 good recent pillows in the closet thats enough.

Now if I can only get my other half to get the other half of the closet cleared out.......

WE have piles of clothes that can now be hung up nicely. If we get the dressers cleaned out and the storage cubes we each have, then we will have a neat room. A place for eveything and everything in it's place.

Now. of course my back is cursing me heavily, but I say t'was worth it!!

Tomorrow we take the clothes to teh Sally house and the trash goes curbside, and we take bak about 10 bags of returnable bottles to the Can Man and get 5 1/2 cents for each bottle witha coupon I have. That way, we can find the front porch again!!!!

I finally got some energy up, pushed through some pain and accomplished something!!! I feel SO proud....aw shucks. It was worth it. The pain that is.

Have  A Great Night and sleep well!!!

 Good evening...

RAY and JR: Thanks guys, yeah...I hate to see the Pirsch go, but knowing it's going to a good home is a tremendous relief. 1-8-3's wife wants to have it up and running, AND re-painted by the 4th of July. To get it running, it "should" only need fresh battery, fresh gas, and probably a few hammer taps on the starter. As for the paint, they're getting primer, red paint, reducer, catalyst stuff...everything they need but somebody to do the w**k. My BIL said he could do the whole thing in one weekend... Hmmmm, maybe I oughta hook them up! Even though, I've got a hunch, as long as it's running, Mrs. 1-8-3 will be insisting the old Pirsch be in Tipton's 4th of July parade. She also wants to take it to the Iowa Firemen's Association convention. I forget where THAT is this year...

And yes, the truck does take "punishment" for my lack of...welp...several things. Lack of time, lack of money, lack of mechanical know-how...they all add up. Eventually, the truck would be un-restorable. Right now, it's mostly cosmetic w**k, and no rust-through. All rust is surface only. She's still a long way from having to be a frame-off restore job.

All-in-all, I had her for 9-1/2 years, did some w**k on her, and had her in one parade... we'll take THAT with a smile. Loving Wife asked 1-8-3 about "visitation rights," he agreed with a smile, and added "maybe he could even drive it in Clarence's parade sometime!"

Yeah...I sold it to the right guy.Thumbs Up

I've still got Dragonslayer One, the 1953 Dodge/Towers pumper.

Loving Wife says I am forbidden from selling it.Big Smile However it's still sitting under an RV cover...really needs a shed.

Here's how the Dragonslayer looked when I got her...in 1998

*sigh*

Think I'll go spend a little time with the engines...

Welp, enamel reducer didn't turn my paint to cottage cheese, but I put a little on a scrap piece of plastic, it I didn't wipe it off, I would of had a hole in it and some very sticky goo to clean up. Looks like we all can be saving some money on brush cleaner and paint thinner, for those of us who use enamel, and save on plastic weld. See ya'll later.

Ray,

Yeah, i can see the drawbacks to an open car in the rain. We use our ex HRR/Reading coaches or the trusty RDC though we need a new A/C unit for one of the RDC's. Having said that, I haven't done anything in the yard since I crushed my foot. Where the heck is Seneca Falls?

PC - Good to have you drop back in. Glad the wife is doing better and sorry to hear your son is going to have to have that surgery after all. Any idea when that might happen? I know it's a bummer to have it lurking out there but at least once done and with some physical therapy he can get back to what he loves.

Jim - hopefully the second time will be the charm with the 'puter. if you'd like some Tyco flats to play with drop me an E-mail and we can send some. We end up with lots of Tyco stuff all the time (and Lifelike and other toy train stuff we can't use at the museum and it just gets set aside). I'd like to find a decent frame for the underside because I think a lot of the paint jobs are "good enough". At any rate we have a ton of that stuff. Let me know.

Jerry - you have become the master of illusion. I constantly need to remind myself what size layout you really have. Your photography  is constantly improving as well.

Galaxy - with any luck the bad stuff gave you a miss. We had really high winds and torrential rain for about 15 min this afternoon and then nothing. It did break the humidity and I appreciate that. My guys are up to Watkins Glen next week and hopefully the bad weather will hold off. You really feel exposed up on the hill like that.

Chris - It must have been tough to give that engine up but if it goes to an appreciative home and better yet gets restored it will be good, I've had a couple of projects that went that way - too much expense and not enough time and you hate to punish the vehicle. If the extra money helps - all the better.

Todd - If you need to sleep through the video and your CFO sleeps through it anyway, just stick a blanket over the screen and leave the volume up enough to hear the alert. does the National Weather Service still have a broadcast out your way? Radio might be a better idea.

Jeff - Steady progress will get you there. The wiring issue sounds doable and as far as the funny looks at the shoes. Just hold your head up and walk on by - with all you've been through you owe no one an explanation of any sort.

I actually got home in time to eat a meal this evening. Now to get some books out and do some more research on the area we're modeling around the trainyard circa 1953.  CUL, J.R.

Evenin' folks!

Just a cup of decafe in a R&GV Mug please, Flo.

Slow day at the museum......  I guess most people don't see much fun in riding on an open track car in pouring rain in 60°F weather. Whistling   There may have been 25 people max with about 20 of them being paying customers.  We did have several that had some great questions.  One guy asked me how the trains sent cars all different directions around the country and managed to keep track of all the cars.  Gave me a chance to explain Car Cards, Switching Lists, and Train Orders!  Not mention what the duties of many different employees were back 100 years ago and how they do the same things today differently.  Also had several who were fascinated with our (working) telegraph.  One little boy ran into the office and loudly said, "What's that noise!?!"  So we explained it to him and Mom (Mom actually was interested in it.....).

We have managed to avoid any strong storms from this front going through (knocks on wooden table).

Chris, sorry you had to part with the Fire Engine, but it looks like you have found it a good home!

Anyway, I am chilled to the bone after getting drenched several times during the day. So I am going to go down cellar and sit where it is warm and w*rk on another turnout!

Later!

Hey guys, a roast beast sammich for me and a diet Dr. Pepper. Maybe a piece of Rhubarb pie for desert. Blown-out, you said that you're working on a shelf layout, Hensell to Goderich, maybe London, well if you are taking a brit layout, take my advice, use Ebay. I have a Hornby Holden B12. that thing can handle anything I throw at it train-wise. I have noticed that the bachman Thomas line has some nicely detailed rolling stock, I have two BR mk1s that I bought, I opened them up to start an interior install, had a fully detailed interior. For 20 bucks, I had a car that had an interior that rivaled a 70 dollar Walthers streamliner. Exterior left a bit to be desired, but it's a toy, nothing some work can't fix. (furpppppppppppppppb!!!!!!!!) *** it, I found one of Todd's little surprises.

If you can read this... thank a teacher. If you are reading this in english... thank a veteran

When in doubt. grab a hammer.

If it moves and isn't supposed to, get a hammer

If it doesn't move and is supposed to, get a hammer

If it's broken, get a hammer

If it can't be fixed with a hammer... DUCK TAPE!

Good afternoon............. TRIPPLE cheeseburger, with bacon, some lettiuce, tamater, pickles, ketchup, and mustard...please 'n thank-you. With a bucket of Cherry RC Cola please n' thank-you.

WE SOLD THE PIRCH (fire engine) TODAY!!!!!!!

Woot! Woot!

The Mother-of-All-Garage Sales was yesterday, we made enough THAT we can both retire...when we're 100 or so.

Loving Wife made up a neato sales flyer for the Pirsch, and I sent it to a buddy who is the Public Information Officer for Cedar Rapids Fire. He put it on his daily inter-departmental blog...and 2 CR firefighters expressed interest. One, an old pal, the other the current Chief down the road in Tipton. 1-8-3 (Tipton Chief) came with his wife this morning...and SHE made the "we're buying it" decision! Remaining repairs on Tori are now covered...and then some! Now I gotta find a day when I can be "out-of-service."

I hate to sell the Pirsch, but I simply do not have the resources (space, mechanical, financial, etc., etc., etc.,) to restore her. 1-8-3 suggested to the union guys (CRFD is paid professional, IAFF local 11) they oughta buy it. No interest. He's on the Honor Guard (think military honor guard only with axes instead of rifles), and suggested they oughta buy it... no interest. So...........it'll be his truck (his wife's truck) for Tipton Fire to use in parades, a party wagon for the Iowa Firemen's Association convention...etc., etc., etc. He swore an oath THAT IF he ends up selling it, it will go to another fireman who also has visions of restoring it. I had a guy interested a couple of years ago, but he was going to pull the fire body off and make a race car hauler out of it! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I saw the Engine daily as a kid, climbed on her then...it was the fulfillment of a childhood dream when, in 2000, I was able to buy her. I just haven't been in a position to do much restoration (cosmetic mostly) since then. Now she's a yard ornament...and deserves so much better than THAT!

Glad everybody dodged the storms last night, we were under a twisty-thing watch...nothing developed here though.

ROBBY P: Nice house! Loving Wife wants our porch to look like yours...thanks a lot Pally!!!Smile,Wink, & Grin

KEITH: Cute pup!

VINCENT: If you need it, I've got an Athearn wide-vision coupla sitting here. I surplused it when I converted a wide-vision to a narrow coupla IC/ICG/CCP cabboose. Lemme know.

TODD: I thought I was the only one who stayed up watching for storms. When it's looking serious, I've got the TV on for the radar pictures, the radio on the best weather coverage station, and the scanner on monitoring spotter traffic...uh, until I get paged-out for spotter duty...then Loving Wife gets to hear the radio, the fire radio/storm spotters, see the pretty colors on the TV radar... Oh yeah, factor-in the weather radio going off every few minutes...gets a little noisy around here.

I'ma gonna have me a sit-down at the RC...hmmmm should I check the seat for a "cushion?"

  "Howdy all~  Coffee please"

  Jerry nice to see ya.

Well no need to tell you about the weather here, just sunny and breezy.

And no need to post any pics of my layout, I've posted elsewhere,  like WPS.

But there is a need to post pics of my son's dawg.

He's been here 2 weeks and 2 days.

So I thought I'd bore ya all to death of this pup.

When he first got here, he was some whimp.  First day he wobbled as he walked.

As each day passes, he learns each personality of the household.

100_1397.jpg

His name is 'Buddy' and he and the Husky have taken on a certain relationship.  Buddy messes with everyone,

except the Husky.  Thats MOM, and you don't mess with mom.  But lets run!

After the run, they both headed for the shade and kissed each other.

I don't know if  you can see the love Husky has for the pup.. but its there~

This pup's feet and legs are growing.   He's gotta grow into them Boots.  He really doesn't hold still for pics.

Strong Italian Roast coffee in a  SOUTHERN PACIFIC  mug, please.

***PC, good to hear your wife is doing better now. Really sorry your son's unable to play basketball anymore. He's had such a rough go of it. Don't be a stranger here and drop in as often as you can. We've been thinking about you and your family.

Have a good day y'all.

Good Afternoon All,

Back in the shop to see what we got from the airport Friday. No racing in Ct on Sundays so we got back from Lime Rock early evening yesterday. That went well enough and I even got out in the Lotus 18 for the first time since I bought it back. New gearbox worked well though the driver was rusty. The rest of the lads are still in Danville Va and are due back tomorrow. It was 126F there in the pit lane Saturday.

Jim - if no-ones told you yet, Micromark has the Tichy cars on offer and a deal on 6 at a time. Normally they'll also have a free shipping or 10% off sale fairly often and that might help some more.

I haven't casught up since page 6 or 7 but hope to later, In the mean time it's back to it.  CUL, J.R.
