Evenin' Folks!

Flo just a decaf would do me fine!  I'll go sit in the back and relax for a bit before bed time.

Been a long day.....  Got the garden planted (finally), Called the church to see if the "jack of all trades" there could help me with the sound system and to make sure the insurance adjuster had been there and gone.  The insurance adjuster had left, but the guy couldn't help this afternoon, so we made a time to w*rk on it tomorrow.  No sooner hung up from THAT call, when my son called to tell me they are having a garage sale on Saturday and they need to borrow tables I have for it......  Only time I can deliver them is tomorrow at the time I was going over to church....  So I decided to change the time for church....  Will have a small window of opportunity tomorrow to get the darned thing running for the wedding on Saturday and the service Sunday.

So this evening i cleaned the left over wood chips, dirt, and assorted "Moo Poo" out of the back of the truck, unburied 4 fold up tables, found my cashbox and a few things I am adding to the sale, and loaded the truck.  My back is killing me tonight.  Say Galaxy got anything good for back pain?  No better not it might not get along with the score of meds my doc has me on.  Should be OK by morning.

I did spend some time in the train room while the washer was running tonight and have basically finish my first Fast Tracks turnout.  Not perfect, but I think it will run trains with no problem.  All I have left to do is glue the finished trackage to the ties and install it in place.  I'll get a couple photos to share tomorrow, hopefully.

I did get a chance to catch up a bit on your posts here, don't have time to comment on them.  Sounds like some good going on amid all the setbacks some have been having.  I will keep all in need in my prayers!

W1!! Gresely's only locomotive fail. He tried using a water tube boiler instead of a traditional fire tube. Doncaster wound up fitting a modified A4 boiler to the extremely modified frame. New attempt at a 4-6-4, never did read how it preformed after the A4 boiler swap.

G'dEvening, Chloe - I'll have a RBF, and could I get that in a go cup? Please? Thanks ! Need to get home at a better time for bedtime tonight, since I've been up a tad too late the last couple of nights, and my body is telling me that I'd better let it get enough rest tonight or it'll TAKE it, itself...

Got my laptop back, and have been swapping the bigger drive into it, swapping the keyboard with another one I have (the first one's "E" key wasn't working about half the time -kinda necessary in English- and I was getting tired of turning laptop off, popping the keyboard open, re-seating the cable to the logic board, and putting things back in place). Banged Head Have one other thing I could fix myself likely, but am gonna send it off tomorrow to have them do that, so I'll have the 1 year warranty on it. Haven't burned any DVD's with the new drive in the right-hand bay, but it has been working find for any discs I've put into it.

This past couple of weeks, have been breaking in the new crisis therapist (her name is Sarah, same as my daughter's). She's getting the hang of things, and past few days, I've had her do the screenings for walk-in services while I get to sit there. (Now, if I could only have an issue of MR to read... Nah, better not at w**k) Today, w**k was... interesting - one person who was not only 'out there', but also taking off their clothes, saying they were burning the person's arms. Then later had another who about 15 minutes into the assessment, had what I'd guess what was a grand mal seizure, so that one got sent to the ER and I dropped off a copy of my (partial) assessment with the charge nurse for their social w**ker's info. I'm ready for the weekend, so I can have some less busy time when I'm on-call! Shock Ah, Monday is payday, so that will be something to look forward to. Big Smile

Ulrich, good to hear your Mom's back home, and though I suspect it will be a struggle for her, will say some AngelAngel for her to just let others do more stuff. Also some for your migraine to just leave for at least a summer vacation (or longer).

Keith, I like what you've done with your rocks and cliffs (and that big tree). Thumbs Up

Barry, if only you could teach your heart to quit trying those synchopated beats, maybe you wouldn't have all those doctors' visits. Wink But hey, take care of yourself and your ticker, okay? And hope you get to enjoy some of your time off.. that 'W' thing that Ray doesn't want to hear! Smile,Wink, & Grin

And Galaxy, do take care of yourself (heart and the other stuff) too, y'hear? You've had enough health problems already, as I recall. Angel

Robby, best wishes on the house 'visit' on Saturday. Hadn't gone back through all the pages yet, but I take it you may be re-financing or such? More AngelAngel for you and your wife and her healing of the cyst (and everything else)...

Weighmaster (Gary) - add my Sign - Welcome to the Diner to Barry's. Glad to see another new Diner in the place. (I've been out for a bit, myself). I can see that you've been around the Diner though, with your remark about 'diseasils'...Whistling I expect from your layout description that you and Ray will have a lot to chat about in one of the booths, as his tastes follow several of yours mentioned. Thumbs Up Hey, you and Ray and others who regularly sit at the RC are the ones I go to with my questions to be (borrowing a phrase from Todd) 'semi-prototypical'. Yeah!!

And Ray, sounds like either that sound system had its own 'cardiac' problem, or else a lightning strike. Wow!!

Hey, Chris - with all those neat trains going through your neighborhood, I'd start carrying your camera at all times for the next week/month! Some neat stuff there. Smile Oh, on your wife's yard sale (sounds like it's pending for this weekend?), she could've warmed up over Memorial Day weekend at the Highway 25 ("100 mile") yard sale down here. They've been holding it for several years - not sure how long, but a while.

Sounds like you're back up in Michiganland, eh, Garry? DEFINITELY sounds like you found some bargains at the LHS's up there. Bow

DerJohn, I like your new business tower there. Might just inspire me to tackle some of the kits (or maybe I should start with these unfinished projects?) in between calls this weekend.

I'll just say to DerJohn's closing remarks and get me off home. AngelAngel

Blessings,

Good evening Diners! No sign of the rainy days letting up this week - heaven's knows when the grass can next be cut!Dead

Keith: Awesome scenes! That rock work looks, as Ulrich said- Real! I'll add my [Bow(The next bit I've included in a PM, so scroll down to the next named patron if you want to save time Smile,Wink, & Grin)

I've been inspired by your city scenes to get on with cladding the card mock-ups which have stood in for buildings for over 8 years - what was that Todd said to the new Gary about raising standards?Cool

Anyhoo, I took delivery a week ago tomorrow of a CD from which one can print buildings to be made up into 3D models. So, there has been progress. From the card desert first of all to this, an octagonal tower - why start simple when complicated is just out there waiting? Clown  Then I added the tower behind it in the same style - an office complex by the same developer. I've since added a Corporate logo to the tower, Bank of Montreal - a common enough sight to for a Canadian city downtown; and they were kind enough to send the right sized logo on the CC bill.Tongue The whole of the card desert was built to hide the three-level sandwhich of upper and lower reversing loops, with the mid-point loop between them. There is a solid  wall of buildings that really do that job - not too prototypical, but I had to do something. So I next started on one of the 'wall' of buildings. The gap to the right is taken up by an "active view block" and the building that anchors it on the right. Today I updateded those.  There will be a factory where the ASA box used to be, it's been printed, but not assembled. It will have to have an access road built, however my next project is a pair of town houses and a small hotel to fill in the street scene on the upper level; then the two appartment building kits through which the upper level reverse loop runs out of sight.Blindfold

Gary MI : thanks for the  backgrounder! I'm assuming from the time scale, and rail code, you'd be in HO? As you will have seen, we have a Garry, from Kentucky, so I've added the "MI" to your name to head off possible confusion. Typing being, shall we say "fluid," we may not catch the subtleties of a missing or added "r". Is that OK? Big Smile  Oh, I see Garry has explained.

Keith: (again) I hear you on the differing sizes in N. In fact on evilBay N is often described a 1:160 - and 1: 150, sometimes from the same vendor! However, I do agree with Ulrich as well! I can only afford Code 80 track, but find that painted and ballasted, it suits me just fine. I did have a small HOn30 section on my HO layout in Alberta, and used N track for the most part, and the HOn30 track for where the difference in the ties could be appreciated! It's just that I let myself get bent out of shape with figures mostly, some people are about 1½ times the size of others - and I'm not talking children, or even gender differences Big Smile.  It's about then I need to learn to go over to the Rivet Counter! Sigh

Ulrich: Hope your Migraines have abated -that your mother continues to improve, and you hear some good news soon about the job.

Teensteam:

I only hope that it doesn't turn my paint into cottage cheese.
I turned my remaining Plastruct Plastic Weld into something similar last night. I'd left the top off the bottle, a nd the solvent evaporated to where the goop remaining was un-useable. So, with nothing to lose, I tried some of Kris' nail polish remover - didn't work! Black Eye

Rob, I haven't forgotten the bell, just haven't found what I was looking for to send with it. Blindfold

Garry: That was a great haul on the turnouts! $15 each would have been spectacular here, but 6 for $15, and a 3 way for $5. Bow

Galaxy: I'm looking for an article on an alternative medicine site that may be of interest re the chronic back pain. If I can find it, I'll PM you.

Seems that's it for  now. Goodnight all, and God Bless. Prayers for Mrs. Robby, and all in need of Healing, Comfort, Prosperity and Peace.Angel

HI JEFFREY! was wondering what happened to you but figured you were working hard on the van.

I wish I could work on it as much as I want to. All I can manage is 1 to 3 hours a day most times. Found out recently that I have normacytic anemia to go with all the other problems I have. The doc says it explains why I'm tired all the time, sometimes just a little and other times waking up feeling exhausted.

Evening guys,

HI JEFFREY! was wondering what happened to you but figured you were working hard on the van.

Had the Company this am talked trains and stuff.

Went to urologist. Claimed since I take a lot of meds that could be the problem, {as well as the disc issues}; oh, and here, by the way, is ANOTHER medication for you to take. MAny Dr.s lately are commenting on how many meds I take, THEN turn around and give me another one or two to take!!!

Didn't get to Lowes to see about a new pump for the waterfall. Perhaps tomorrow. I know we will have to get a new kind as we looked a few months ago, and they have changed styles/models so it's not simply a matter of buying one to replace the dead one, but finding one that will work and has the same size OD for the hose, can pump the same gals/per/min up the footage needed and/OR get an adaptor for the hose.

Gotta attack the dandylions that have taken over the flower bed around the pond!  OY! For now, it's just "greenery" in there. Gotta pull out the last blueberry bush as they all failed, and it wont survive or bear fruit anymore. Last year it gave about 12 berries and that was it. DOn't need it taking up space. Usually I am a "must bear edibles and look pretty doing so" kinda guy for my plants witha  few flowers thrown in, but this year I think I just plant some pretty flowers, If I find any I like.

The prayer candle was up earlier for those who need special thoughts and prayers.

See y'all later.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.

Been working on the van when I can. Got a new fan clutch for it as the old one was worn out and was turning much too freely. Got a couple more parts for it, about $250 in all. The gas tank issue should be sorted out by next Thursday. Now if I can just get the steering column sorted. Found one that fits mechanically but is not a fit electrically as it has a different type warning switch on it. That should be a simple issue to correct by simply rewiring the connector harness.

Hello ...

Arrived safely in Michigan last night.

Welcome to Gary (with single R) weightmaster...... I use a double R in my name, Garry. .. Sometimes, we use nicknames here such as "Jim CG" or "California Tom" to avoid confusion with similar names.

Robby ... That does sound like cause for concern about your wife.

Where is everyone? Cal Tom? PC? Ryan?

went to Great Lakes Hobbies this morning for more track. They has some Shinahara turnouts on clearance. I got 6 #8's for about $15.00 and a 3-way for about $5.00.That was all they had.

Cuppa coffee in a British Rail mug, Thanks Well, Welcome to the Diner Gary. Some of us know all too well the restraints that are on our hobby. Me included. Highway 101 looks really cool, I just couldn't handle Californy, been raised in the Plains all my life, only place I would rather be is on the Bluebell Railway, but I'm happy where I'm at for now. Anyone ever use enamel reducer for Testor's enamel? My old man has an auto-body place and about a gallon of enamel reducer, so no more 1 cup glass bottles of Testors brand for me, I only hope that it doesn't turn my paint into cottage cheese.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe I'll have a breakfast bagel and coffee.  Dark Roast coffee that is in a FGLK Mug!

Long, very long, Deacons meeting last night.  Most of the time was spent in Emergency Procedure training.  Actually a very informative and productive evening as the Deacons are the group expected to do all the evacuation of the church, crowd control, and calm people down, etc should something happen during a service.  Not unlike the training we give at Boy Scout Camp to the staff for a fire emergency, earthquake, tornado, etc..........

Ulrich glad to hear your Mom is back home.  Hopefully she will continue to recover and do what the Doctors have ordered.

Barry!  You used the nasty word here in the Forum!  You know the 4 letter one that starts with W.....  Shame on you!  I'm glad you are getting out of some, and have you in my prayers for the upcoming procedures and all.

Best get a move on.  The Garden gets planted today!!!  Then I have to set up a temp. sound system at church and see what is still OK and what needs to be replaced.

Later!

 Good Afternoon Folks,

a nice and sunny day - not for me to enjoy, the migraine still has the grips on me. Takes up to three days, and today is just #2 day Sad

Zoe, with all that talk about drinking enough water, I´ll have a glass of mineral water and a coffee to follow. Maybe a shot of caffeine helps to get rid of that queasy feeling in my stomach.

Gary - a big Sign - Welcome to the Diner. I know exactly what you are talking about - layout space and SWMBO´s claims. I am glad that my wife has developed a high tolerance to my hobby - as long as I don´t occupy any space Big Smile

Keith - I still have fond memories of driving down US Highway 101, back in 1974. Certainly one of the most spectacular drives in the US. I did all the way from Seattle to San Francisco and was enchanted by the beauty of the country.

Talking about N scale not (always) being to scale. I don´t really think, this is much of an issue. In fact, I believe, that sometimes it is even better, when some of the details are a little over-sized. We would not be able to take notice of the fine details, if they were to scale. What counts, is the overall impression, or illusion, you create and I think, you are doing a wonderful job there. Just take a look at Dave Vollmer´s PRR Juniata Division - he uses that over-sized code 80 rail with those big fat ties, but what a great layout he has created. Now that code 55 track looks better, maybe only on pictures or when your nose is only 2" away from the track. Only the bean counters and purist will think differently Smile,Wink, & Grin

TTFN - you all have a good day!

  "Coffee Please"

Good morning all~  well sort of.  Cloudy.. looks like winter.  Haze .. they really aren't clouds.. just haze.  And should burn off by 11 am.

Ulrich, why yes.. exactly like hwy 101.  I did mention the time.. way back when,  when Jeanne and I moved to the town of Cambria.  Yes there really is a town called Cambria.  Loaded in 100 foot pines, Cyprus and oaks.  Nice area.. but it was just way too cold for us.  And the 50 mile an hour winds seemed to come up every afternoon around 2 PM, even during the summer.

Up the coast is a lighthouse, built on a big rock. Big Big.  http://pointsur.org/ The light house men.. and families lived on top of this big rock, and the winds were so strong, the chicken they kept up there had to be tethered to ground.. so they would blow off the rock onto the cliffs.

  Thats how windy.

  Todd, Garry... quote:

Sounds like your standards are real close to mine. You'll fit in fine here. We nitpick our own layouts to the extent we choose, we'll nitpick yours... if asked, but mostly we are just glad to be with folks of a common interest. Good people in here of all levels and stages. One word of warning though, since hanging around the diner, my standards have gotten higher and it appears they are getting higher. So be careful. It's contagious

Now don't get me started on N-scale and prototypical.  My head is in a whirl about being proto-typical.  To draw the line..   ?  Where .. ?  (small rant about proto-typical)

Take the ties to N scale track.  Ah.. those aren't proto.. yep.. they are not.  Way too big.. ask for the real ones.. the expensive ones.. the professional ones.  The ties are way smaller and close together and a bit more expensive.

Street lights.. the size varys in height.  And some of the stands (very bottom of pole) to the lights are way too big.  Telephone poles.. wow, now there is even an upgraded new.. highly detailed telephone pole out now.

N scale cars.. I can show you four different sizes.

Trees.. wow.. another can of worms.  I can only come down to one 'common thread' I will use in determining placement of all items.  Largest of anything will be closest to the viewers and smaller versions away giving that 'Forced Perspective".. <  Woot~  I love that phrase.  But in short.. N scale proto-typical.. gives my head a whirl.

Good morning. Eggs, Spam, Spam, Beans and Spam please, coffee too thanks.

Didn't rain the 11/2" like they predicted, in fact didn't rain at all yesterday after the sun came up til now. Good.

I will never be a true prototypicalist (another useful word Webster has yet to acknowledge), but I'm glad some of my standards have tightened up a bit.

Robby- I'll keep the wife in prayers. Yes, definitely good luck on the house.

Jeff's missing again, hope he didn't overdo it working on the van. Sounded like the doc's reports were sounding pretty good, of course he did have those new shoes.

Best get a movin'

Good Morning All,

A bit warmer this morning and thunderboomers predicted for the afternoon but nice enough out now. Didn't get the home puter to go last evening  - just too mollasses slow so until I get a new battery and defrag it, it'll probably sit idle.

Charlie.  The particular car we have here is a Superlegerra (lightweight) but not a Zagato. The Zagato body is totally different and looks like a space ship. Herb Wetanson (of Wetsons jamburgers fame) has a Zagato he has had polished to a mirror finish (all aluminum body work you know - harrumph). We'll probably see that one this weekend at Lime Rock along with about 150 other vintage cars and Jags of all sorts (Jaguar Club weekend).

Gotta run - lots to do before the end of the day.   CUL, J.R.

Good morming guys!

Cooler yet rainy here today.

Have company coming over early today gonna watch some steam train DVDs. He's a new train nut like us. He's the one we are taking to Strasburg with us if we go. He has had several back surgeries lately so he's in not too good shape either. Had two spinal taps that left him with migraines as the blood patches they used didn't seal and spinal fluid was leaking out. But he's getting better and is in the spirits of "I've got to go"!

Then its off to the urologist.

Then maybe shopping for a pump for the water fall. Drained the pond for a good cleaning yesterday.

Then probably some shopping for groceries.

SO basically a full day ahead.

I have noticed the anual downturn in posts as summer approaches and more of us find more things to do besides sit at the computer.Cool

Hope every stays well and has a great day!!!

Oh, and the prayer candle is lit for those in need like Robby P's wife, others mothers and relatives that need prayers.

Good Evening,

Lee, you asked this week if I had taken any photos of the layout that the master model railroader is tearing down, and the answer is no. There were many there doing that and if you would like to see some of what he has done, just google, Stafford Swain. There was an article in Canadian Railway Modeller written by Tony Koester praising Stafford for all he has done for the hobby and for the many articles he has witten over the years. If a modeller like Tony thinks Stafford was a great modeller, then it must be true. Stafford was definitely a rivet counter though as everything had to be prototypically correct. He is selling a lot of his loco steam collection too which is all brass, all CN and all DCC. I would dearly love a few of those but a $500 brass loco isn't in the budget.

J.R. Is that DB4 GT one of those lightweight Zagato bodied models? Had an article in an old Sports Car Graphic on them and I guess they were quite a car in their day. I seem to recall 0 to 100 to 0 in 20 seconds or something like that.

We actually had a nice sunny day here but the cloud is supposed to move in tomorrow and showers are forecast right through to Monday. It will be cool too, only in the 60-65 range.

Chris, good luck with that yard sale. It sounds like you have put a lot of time and effort into it.

It's 9:45 here and it is just starting to get dark. I guess that is one advantage of living in the GWN( Great White North).

 Good evening...

Here's one more comment on...pee: I was taught "normal" pee is a "light straw yellow tint." And yes, Gatorade alone isn't cool... which is why I also suggested VINCENT try the 50/50 mix the re-enactors swore by, and "plain water" too.

Welp, spent a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng day with The Wife. Her "mother of all garage sales" led to a day spent gathering tables from both sets of 'rents, additional items to sell, and a lot of time baking in the heat and humidity. A handful of ibuproffen, some sinus stuff...and probably an early bedtime.

Tomorrow, I'll w**k on the 3-hour city council meeting from last night, and go cover high school softball. I "should" also make some calls on some leads THAT has been wondering about lately.

UP has been running interesting things by Clarence over the past few days. The last running DD40AX went East over the weekend, I saw the UP 2001 (Olympic Torch) unit leading Eastbound...yesterday afternoon. Naturally, no camera at the timeDisapprove. Had no warning it was coming through either. Today, the Ringling Brothers, Barnum, and Bailey Circus "blue unit" train went through, Westbound, earlier this evening. We missed it at Bertram by about 10-15 minutes.

Time for the aforementioned drugs, an airconditioned booth...and likely, some shut-eye

Welcome Weighmaster, and you're not boring at all - it's good to hear others opinions and interests especially for those of us who are nosey (or cheeky as I was called today by a customs broker).

Another long one but not a disaster like yesterday. The Tyrrell is stuck at JFK as we wrestle with a less than brilliant broker and most of the cars are loaded for Lime Rock on Friday. Didn't hear from the lads in Virginia so no news should be good news there. On a side note, I love the old English sports cars. Strip a body screw on a Morgan and just back out the screw, insert a toothpick, break it off flush and refit the screw. Job done. Try that with your grade 8 fastner.Sign - Dots

I'll have a RBF to fo please Chloe. Well, time to mosey off into the not yet setting sun. I'll try to drop in later if the home laptop cooperates.  CUL, J.R.

GarySign - Welcome to the diner.  Sit down and tell us all about you trains, and anything else you care to share.  Good to have you aboard!

At the risk of utter and complete boredom, here goes...I just joined the BOG (Brotherhood Of Geezers) on Monday, although I retired last July.  Life NMRA member since 1974. 18+ years in the pickle industry (supervisory), 27+ years in roofing mfg. industry (scaleman).  Two kids, four grandkids.  Wife Kathy taught for close to 30 years, had to retire in 1999; lots of health issues for her, wheelchair bound the past four years.  Bought an OLD handicap-accessible house three years ago, and still trying to find room to finish unpacking (HINT: when you move, get a BIG dumpster, or better yet, two or three, NOT a single 10-yarder).

Still trying to clear space for layout construction; the last one was torn down in 1983.  Undecided as yet on theme for new one, but inclination is toward mid-century steam (no diseasils).  Toying with a branch concept very loosely based on the Iola & Northern which was absorbed by the GB&W and abandoned in 1957.  It was to serve the logging industry in central Wisconsin, but never laid more than the initial 4 miles of trackage before the usual financial problems.  So, what might have been...?  As 12 year olds, my friend Jim and I got a 100 yard cab ride on the last switching job in Iola (for anyone in the LaCrosse area familiar with Houghton's on Jackson Street, that's Jim).

I have about a dozen brass locos, three articulated.  Only plastic is a Proto 2000 0-6-0.  Newest brass is 1980, still in box (packed away, and I can't even remember what it isBanged Head).  The only tangible layout progress so far is a scratchbuilt 88' turntable to a 6-stall Heljan (just the base and stall tracks so far) on a module.  Trackage will be handlaid c70 mostly, FastTrack turnouts.  I have 600' of Railcraft rail (pre ME) I bought in 1982, still bundled.  Rolling stock is mostly Athearn BB, mostly unshaken, mostly $1.98 MSRP.  Nitpicking is not a part of my vocabulary, and generally if I can get all the wheels on the track and keep them there it will meet my standardsSmile,Wink, & Grin.

Enough for now, I'm boring myself...I can only imagine the effect it's having on other readers.  Appreciate your patience, I'll probably stop in again (Not meant a a threatBig Smile).  Gary

 Good afternoon.

Thanks for all of the good lick on the house.  They will be out Saturday, until then...........We have to get stuff done.

My wife's MRI (on the brain) came back good, but........She has a small cyst on the brain.  Not due to the wreck, but they want to keep a eye on it.  She's pretty upset, but I told her not to worry.

Well we have to run to Lowe's, and I will stop by in later.

 Mornin'...... er..... Afternoon everyone!

Zoe you still serving breakfast?  What?  All day!  Good!  I'll have the #2 special, eggs over easy, bacon, homefries, sourdough toast and lots of dark roast coffee in a FGLK mug.

I got the registration taken care of and picked up the new utility trailer this morning.  Hence I didn't have time to stop in here.  When I picked it up, I had to buy a new drawbar and put a 1 7/8" ball on it.  Thought I had one here, but couldn't find it.  It should show up in less than a week in one of the placers I already looked but managed not to see it.

Yes the situation at church could have been much, much worse.  First off as someone mentioned we could be dealing with a fire damage situation rather than just a bunch of blown equipment.....  If the sound system had been on, we would be faced with replacing everything I have a feeling.  I know the mixer is fried, what I don't know yet is the extent of damage to the other parts of the system.  The amps are quiet when the mixer is taken out of the line.  With the mixer on we are getting a very loud 60 Hz hum.  probably would be enough to blow the speakers and amps if it weren't for some built in limiters.  I have to go down and see if I can get it back working this afternoon with one of my old mixers (Small 12 channel Mackie).  If I can, then I will check out each of the wireless units, podium mic, and the recording mikes to see if they were damaged.

Another hot one here in the Finger Lakes!  Currently 82°F under sunny skies with a predicted high of 85°F soon.  THAT will meet the record for this date around here.

Oh Galaxy, "Save the Bones for Henry Jones, 'cause Henry don't eat no meat!"

Best get down to church and start the process...  I also have to at church for Deacons tonight.

Catch you all later!

Besides my back issues, They ran 6 EKGS in the hospital recently to tell me that it looks like the upper left ventricle {I think I got that right} is not functioning well and looks like i have a murmur there. He also mentioned that tehre may be some dead tissue in the heart at that location. { WHAT THE >>>????}. Scarry. This is in addition to  ALREADy taking medication for "tachycardia" {racing heart} and medication for "premature ventricular complexes" where my heart beats an extra time frequently. I am wondering if the Beta BLocker for the latter is effectively slowing down the upper left ventrical. They also said it looks like my heart is enlarged. ANd the hospital Dr. suggested, though did not order, another stress test for my heart to be more thoroughly evaluated. I see the cardiologist in August, but may have to move the appt up to talk to him about these new developements.

Ah hah!!  upper left Atrium it would be--the ventricles are the bottom chambers---why dey call dese t'ings ventricles I have no clue--I see about the heart stress test in late June and then see him about the operatioon in July--probs get it done August----loads a fun---so far my heart is not doing the murmur thing---yet.

So far my diabetes is behaving itself--averaging about 7.5 on our blood sugar scale here. That compares with 13.5 a few weeks ago----Blush Oh well---onwards and such we go----

GT--I'm guessing that the car was kinda played with at some point? I'd rather there were 50 calibers up front--just in case---

Good morning.  First time in here although I've been peeking in the window since about Diner #10.

Ray, be grateful the sound system went south during the week.  I was doing the video for a wedding (son of our church secretary) early this spring; about three minutes into the sermonette (and before the vows and soloist) a boom similar to an 88mm artillery round erupted through the speaker system as the BiAmp processor blew up.  Had to shut the sound down to kill the hum Banged Head.  Thankfully the pastor gave me his text; sure was fun to have to caption the balance of the service for the dvdSad.  Under the circumstances, I refused the honorarium Sigh from the groom's mother, and told her it was gratis because of the problems.

Fortunately the sound company did the temp. repair within four hours and we were able to run on Sunday.  I guess the finished dvd was ok enough, I did receive a $40 gift certificate to Applebee's Cool.  Good for about $2.50/hour...Smile   Gary

 Good Afternoon Folks,

I am fighting a bad case of migraine again. Don´t know where this comes from, now. The good news is, that my Mom is out of the hospital at home. I do hope she now listens to what her doctors told her - to stay put and let others do the chores.

Zoe, just a glass of mineral water for me, please not only to keep my urine clear Big Smile)

Barry - my Angel for the upcoming ICD surgery - you will feel much better afterwards!

Robby - I keep my fingers crossed for your refinancing issue - that interest rate is a killer!

Keith - why does that scene remind me of driving down Highway 101? Great picture! Those rock faces look like - well, just like the real thing! Bow

Have a safe day!

Todd, if you use a USMC latrine they have color charts posted and a note on how many canteens of water you need to drink over xx:xx minutes and hours to return to clear urine.  Failure to do so may be considered an infraction of the UCMJ ART 92!
