Der John

As soon as I saw that picture, my first thought for a caption was:

But it's such a little puddle...

Hard not to love puppies.

Kind of like buying a fancy sports car with a 50 hp engine.

I'd rather, in this case, have a beater with a 450hp engine!!Mischief

True, but I would hope they speed matched the RAM with the FSB, otherwise your just shooting yourself in the foot.  Kind of like buying a fancy sports car with a 50 hp engine.

Sam,

[start]

[control panel]

[system]

should show you your current RAM configuration and front side bus.

That would show him how much RAM he has but not what speed it is. For example, the speed on mine is 667 but that screen doesn't tell me that.

Morning ya'll, biscuits and grazy for me

Not much doing today. It might snow later today so that's gonna be intresting.

Jim, I have 2 of those instructors. My english and world religions instructors are both crazy; After 1 day, I've already read close to 75 pages, and done a 600+ word essay... I hate Gordon rule writing classes....

Tom, aww, no Challenger? Well, make sure you get pictures of the new articulated you're getting. Now that I think about it, I though I saw an ad a little bit back that Sunset was also making the yellowstones... BTW, you might like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XeRrMPyJaU&feature=related

Der, nice little puppy you have there.

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Ulrich, instead of a home layout have you considered joining a local club, then building a module of your own vs. an entire layout?

Lee - I am a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to model railroading, as my choice is US prototype. The clubs we have around in my area all go for German prototype, which is just not my cup of tea. Club dues are also prohibitive - a regular membership runs up to $ 200 a year - money I´d rather spend on my own thing. However, I am still quite positive that I find a way to get started on model railroading again.

ns3010 - as to your question to the audience - it is difficult to judge the situation without hearing the other part. The best is not to get involved and leave it to the concerned parties to sort it out. You just can´t win in this situation.

After all - La donne e mobile ... Big Smile

Jeff and Lee- Thanks for the help with the puter issue... my system won't tell me what the speed is on the RAM cards.  I hope to have the new cards within two weeks, gotta check with the "Boss" and the budget...

The speed should be printed on a paper tag on the RAM stick.

Mornin' all!

Chilly and snowy around here today.  3-6" of the nasty white stuff is supposed to come today.  Of course, everyone will drive like they've never seen the stuff before, even though we've had 7.5" already this year.  It always gets me..........Indiana drivers are funny when it comes to snow.  Even when they have driven on snow and ice recently, they seem to have to relearn every time there's new accumulation.  New England was so different!

Oh well.......being snowed on will give me an excuse to do more on the layout, right?

Good Morning all,

Garry, I think it was a bottle switcher (steam) from the local power plant.

Joe, you know what I think? I think it doesn’t matter what I think.  Your buddy is blinded by “love” and he won’t see the imperfections of his current romance until it’s over.  I doubt you will be able to convince him that anything is wrong until after he breaks up with her, then he won’t understand why he didn’t listen to you in the first place.  Be a friend and be prepared to help him back up when he falls.

Dick, North East Ohio here; we are making preparations to do just that.  Weather guessers say it will hit here around 1600 today and in 24 hours we should have 21” to 25” on the ground here.  I don’t have any blue boxes sequestered in preparations, however I have 4 Suydam kits, 5 Accurail kits, 3 Branch line kits, and about 12 Valley kits, and I should be ok.

My New Year resolution is to try and procrastinate more and enjoy life; unfortunately it looks like I’ll be too busy to procrastinate, maybe next year.   No real work on the layout last night; however I did use the shop-vac and a brush to remove the errant ballast in the yard last night.  Maybe tonight I can clean up the turnouts and paint the ground throws.  One side of the ground throw is yellow and the other side will be green to show the switch position.

 Good Morning,

Brrrrr - it is icy cold outside, - 10 C and going down even further. Seems, as if the weather guesser were right this time with their prediction.

Zoe, I´ll have coffee and the big breakfast platter, please!

Just as I had coupled my little 0-6-0 steamer to the Diner and began the move to the new track, Bama coupled his GP38 to the other side and pulled the car in the other direction. My little loco did lose a coupler and the rear pilot in the process . Tom (tstage) came to the rescue, but as a result, my little steamer is now banned from MR´s tracks - Sigh

The longer I keep looking at that L-shaped switching layout, the more I start to like it. It will need some work on it to fit into the given space, but despite the lack of continous  running, it offers a multitude of operation possibilities. There are some yet unsolved issues, i.e. how to dock the car float onto the apron, but basically it meets all my expectations. I guess I just have to get going in this direction ...

John - that puppy is soo cute. I showed the picture to Petra and she immediately fell in love. Her last dog was also a beagle girl named "Carrot".

Sawyer - Rugby is certainly one tough n´ rough a game - watch out for yourself not get some of your bones broken.  I now what I am taking about ...

Jim - our plans to cross the big pond are still around, although it will be quite a complex adventure. Getting a green card for the US is close to impossible in our age, and in Canada, you need to be able to invest quite a bit of money and employ local people - not so easy a deed without the necessary funds. I will nevertheless build that layout in such a way that it could be packed up and toted along!

Todd - will you please keep all your gems with you? Achooh, I think you already passed it on to me!  The best way to get rid of it is to drink a tall glass of hot wodka, spiced up with pepper - a receipe from cold Siberia!

As German Railroad is semi-privatized in view of a planned IPO, the have been economizing on maintenance. The number of derailments is increasing rapidly. Currently, the main line to and from Berlin to the main industrial area is completely blocked, following a series of derailments in the last two days. Damages are estimated to the tune of $ 50 million, for which the tax payer now has to jump in. Unfortunately, the bloke who is in the end responsible for this, cannot be held liable.

Have a great day!

Good late evening all.  Nothing happening in my neck of the woods, supposed to be snowing tomorrow down here in Bama.  I'll enjoy it, although the weather guessers say taht we aren't going to be accumulating any, so we'll see.  Welp, so far the tracking of my SD40-2 is as follows, I should see it tomorrow, as of 7:24 this evening it was in Montgomery, AL, just a short 50-ish mile hop from here at the house.  My only point of slight concern is whether it'll get here in the morning or afternoon, guess I'll have to wait and see.

Going to be w**king tomorrow from 11:30-5:30, then tomorrow evening I doubt that any of you will be seeing me as I will be cheering for my team, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide as they take on the Texas Longhorns for the BCS National Title.  Roll Tide!!!

Welp, that's about it for me, gotta go jump in the shower and get myself a little rest.

Hello all!  Thank you for the RBF trail, helped me find my way!!!

Jeff and Lee- Thanks for the help with the puter issue... my system won't tell me what the speed is on the RAM cards.  I hope to have the new cards within two weeks, gotta check with the "Boss" and the budget...

Drat, where does the time go... gotta hit the sheets... up in 4 hours (again)  geez time goes slow when your at work, then flies out the window when you get home!

I am still searching for my layout design template (the green plastic with the switches and curves) once I find THAT I will be able to make a more accurate drawing of the new layout design... wish me luck!

Thank you for all your best wishes for the exam on friday... I found out today that my trainhandling will not start until the last week of the month at the earliest. ( We were hoping to get out there a bit sooner, but I cannot complain, I am getting paid to train for almost 2 years) I am thankful to God for providing me this opportunity!

Have a great night my friends, keep on the tracks and stay safe!

Edit-

Der- almost forgot to ask... My wife LOVES Beagles, and I was wondering what the name of that adorably cute puppy is?

Bedtime. Feeling a bit better.

Ray- Sounds like we had pretty much the same schedule tonight. Church meeting.

Dick- Wow! THAT was a close call. Say, you didn't happen to save the reading material did you? Oh well, glad you dodged the........shower.

Garry- New Years resolutions? Yep all done. I ate and hung up my coat. Just waiting for next year now.

Der- Cute little guy !

CNCharlie- I'm crossing my fingers and still keeping Pippa in the prayers.

Starting to snow now. Supposed to get about 5-7 inches by tomorrow night. I know that ain't much for you Northern guys but it's quite a bit for me. We'll see what happens. I guess I'll let you know tomorrow.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Evening Diners!

The windchill right now is a brisk -24F and it is headed for -39 by tomorrow afternoon. Can you say cold enough to freeze something off a brass monkey?

Well, Pippa continues with her amazing recovery. I told her that cats are supposed to have nine lives and according to her if a cat has 9 lives, the mighty and magnificent Pip must have at least 90. According to the American Kennel Club, one trait of a Westie is that they have "no small amount of self esteem" and Pip certainly isn't lacking in that department.

Not doing much on the RR. I have been running my RS3 but it has some power pickup problems that have been documented by others on the forum. I will have to see about fixing that but for now the CPR has been banished from the Mortimer sub and the CNR has taken over its rightful place once again. The CN graciously does allow CP to store its 2 diesel switchers in the yard however along with its one caboose. Most of the CP rolling stock has also been removed.

Ulrich, I did look up that article about a layout to be built with removable sections but found that it wasn't more than a track plan and there really wasn't any info on how the thing could actually be built. I did find a really good article in a Brit magazine, Railway Modeller in the April/08 edition. In it there is a detailed article about a fellow who built a layout in sections that he stores in a cupboard. It is about 5x9 with an extension. It would seem that the benchwork is complicated and must be built to really close tolerances. Your L shaped shelf layout would likely be a lot more practical arrangement.

Not much else new in the Great White North. Anyone care for a little cool, crisp dry air? I'm sure we could send you a little. It might be a nice change from all that snow some of you have been getting. How would tomorrow suit you?

OK, the mighty Pip is looking for me as it is getting near bedtime so I better sign off for now.

CN Charlie

Good (so-far...) Evening, bucket of coffee please 'n thank-you.

Welp, it be snowing...roads be a-greasing up...cops are a-goin' nuts with fools finding the ditches. Just waiting for the tones to drop, sending me out on a rescue... THIS time, the glasses stay in the pickup!!!

JIM: How do I hide gifts in plain sight? Simple! A profound lack of situational awareness coupled with visual complacency on her part. Case in point, she wanted a game for her computer a few years back. It arrived, and I placed it on top of the stack of computer games/programs. Right on the top. Couldn't miss it. I spent the next week or so (before her birthday) expecting her to see it. She never did. Finally, on her birthday, I told her THAT her gift was sitting in her studio waiting for her. She went into a frenzy trying to find it, looking behind books on the shelves, looking in cabinets, drawers, etc. When she finally saw it... she about lost her mind.

Wife = cheap entertainment... Whistling

Oh and JIM? Be glad you're not dealing with the "troubled" and "disturbed" around here... a 60 year old male is apparently driving on I-380 with the intention of dying this evening. He told CRPD he was driving a white van, family says "uh uh," it be purple. Sooooooooooo, LEOs from Iowa City/Coralville, ISP, Linn and Johnson County Sheriffs, etc.; are all keeping an eye out for the guy. HOPEFULLY they find him before he skids through the median and head-on into somebody. Angel Then again, he's already lied about what he's driving...hopefully he was honest with what road, and isn't on Hwy. 30 heading toward Clarence... I really don't need to respond to a "grinder" tonight.Disapprove

On a happier note...

DER JOHN: Who's the cute furry little feller? Rerun said he should get a burger...oh, and the puppy too.

Rerun and I shall be seated at the RC whilst I enjoy this fine "boot" coffee...the 'Ol Runner has some burgers...and we hope happy thoughts of a Q-word night...

I thought it might be about time to collect TOP responsibilities! Sup up people - Heard there was some competition getting the switcher to the diner!  The COC meeting wasn't overly long this time, so I've responded to a ASAP request from a Hysterical Society down the road some, and now I'm ready for a nightcap - hot chocolate would fit the bill please Cloe.

Jeff:

Looks like one or both of the rear brake wheel cylinders on my car are going out.
...One of yesterday's tasks was to fetch the car from the Esso station once the rear right cylinder had been replaced. An odd size apparently, and they had to special order it.  Took 4 days to get the part, ½ hour to fix it.  Decided to totally ignore the Resolution thing this year. Doesn't work out for me anyway - and my "agenda" for the layout remains much the same in any case.Whistling

Dick:

stainless steel dish.
....Dick, I guess YOU never froze your tongue to a flag pole as a kid! I wouldn't put out a metal water dish in winter. Tongue

Looks like it's that time againZzz, so Goodnight all, and God Bless. Prayers continuing for all in need of Healing, Comfort, Prosperity and Peace.Angel

(...puff, puff, wheeze, puff...) Sheesh! Almost caught up with the Diner until that switcher got going to the new track!

Good not-yet-sn*wy Evening, Chloe! I'll have a bowl of chili with oyster crackers, some shreded cheese on top, a RBF, and a little later, a hot fudge sundae, please 'n' thankyouma'am!

Hey, Garry, I was trying to dodge the cold breezes out there. The Diner blocks it if you come in the side door instead of the end ones. Should prove useful, so long as those cutting winds are blowing out of the north. Yeah!! Good to hear you're managing to get in some MRR time even with all the other stuff going on in your life lately. Oh, and as for those 'resolution' things, I'll just what Jeff said...

Chris, how do you hide it in plain sight, unless she has no clue that she's gonna get the present? I'd like to know the secret of THAT trick.Confused

AmanaMedic
Yeah, getting clonked in the scrums just doesn't sound like much fun. Sounds very British though... "ye, the laddie got hisself clonked in the scrums" (said in a Monty Python style, heavy Cockney accent).

 Laugh Quite right!

Ulrich, that's a good idea to recycle that layout plan - I liked that when you posted it before, too! And when you get to move across the pond, maybe it could be split up into easily moveable sections (and then add connecting lines at the ends to more layout!). Hey, gotta plan for the long haul, right?Thumbs Up It's a shame you aren't related to the other Ulrich - I have one of their truck/tractors that I built a while back and I still like it!

Robby, if that '303' book is the one by Dave Frary, I have it, and it's great, with lots of useful tips. In fact, most any book by him is worth the money. You should enjoy that (and I'll bet your results will look better than mine (and definitely than my attempts so far...).[Smile I don't think our library here carries anything that new on model railroading, alas. Sigh

Vincent - your instructor sounds like one of those who forgets that you actually have OTHER classes than his/hers...Always hated it when I'd get one of those. Best wishes on the job thing (if GM is aware of the problem, who knows? You could discover next week that you have a new supervisor at w**k...Whistling (heh, heh, heh...)

I saw that Crandell fixed the sign at the old siding so it pointed to this one. But hey, I always trust the bread and pie crumb trail, and the RBF's were a tip-off to the right direction. Big Smile

Joe, I can tell you one additional thing about your friend's deal with the girlfriend - I've seen guys who *want* to steal her away, tell the boyfriend a lie (that she's already cheating with newguy), so they break up, and then he 'consoles' the gal. But that whole bit about her not telling the parents where she's going on dates, doesn't sound like a good thing. Not a healthy relationship indicator, is my (personal) opinion. Your friend's mileage may vary...

Hey, Tom if you have another articulated coming in a day or so, of course "life is good"! And if you have any pull with Bob at Caboose, can you talk him into making it where when you place something into your cart, it still shows up a stock number (not just a description)? That is one thing that keeps me from ordering from them again. I asked them about it, and felt like I was blown off about the idea. I'm used to websites where you don't have to guess what's in your order by the time you get to the shopping cart. (okay,mini-rant over...) How's your 'white stuff' supply holding out there, by the way? And if you do still have some sn*w, are your furry felines enjoying it? Wink

It's 28 F (-2 C) now and supposed to drop another 3 degrees tonight, with Chris' present for us due to come in around midnight on (arriving in plain view...Wink). I think the weatherguessers are still trying to figure what this one will do - forecasting 3-5 inches to the north of us (Farmington, MO or St. Louis), 1 or 2 inches down in the Bootheel, and our area supposed to get 2-4 inches. Of course, I think it was the same weather folks who didn't predict the 14 inches of white stuff back in the late 1970's - that closed down most of Cape, including the university....Oops

I'm on-call tonight, but expect that I may not get any calls out - and if I find someone who's out after midnight in that cold and sn*wy stuff,  I'll know that they are crazy and probably need admitting to the unit! Evil More of the white stuff is predicted tomorrow, I think (but again, that's subject to change of the weather gurus...). We had a bunch of people calling in this afternoon (when I was in to see my 2 afternoon clients), cancelling for tomorrow already. Sheesh, bunch of 'certain decorative flowers'! I could see it if they don't know how to drive in sn*w, but this isn't supposed to be more than a few inches of the stuff. Well, tomorrow is payday, so I'll go pick up a pair of pants to replace one pair that has worn out at the cuff (puzzling why it wears out there first), and also pick up some milk and OJ (alas, they don't carry Ed's line there). Might get some MRR'ing done, if my 1 p.m. client cancels; we'll see.

Hope you all are staying warm enough and out of that white stuff tonight and tomorrow. Will probably be by tomorrow.

Blessings,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Evenin' folks!

Flo just a cup of decafe if you please.  I'll go sit over at the Rivet Counter for a bit.  Want to stay away from who ever is practicing on the "Left Handed Sewer Wrench" over in the back.  Sheesh, counld't he at least have put a mute in it.  Man THAT is awful.  What, that's Todd with a sinus infection.....???  Maybe Tom can help him tune it up a bit........

Todd sorry you are not up to pitch...er....par tonight.  Hope you feel better soon!

Just got home from Deacons and at the end of the meeting I was showing a couple of photos of my Granddaughter watching the trains.  The lady who is in charge of the Ushers came over and looked over my shoulder and told me her Father in Law is a Master Model Railroader.  We chatted for a while and i found out he is in his 90's and still comes up here to Geneva once a year to visit.  I told her when he comes up they are all invited over here for a tour of the SLO&W...  Her FIL is C. I. Siebert MMR #62.  Never know who has connections to the hobby.

Sawyer:  You're playing Rugby?  Don't BREAK anything, guy--that's one HELLUVA rough game, 'American' or not.  Our high school (Jesuit Marauders) became National Champions four years ago in the National High School playoffs in Connecticut.  They came home VERY bruised, but happy.  That's one INCREDIBLE game!  I never miss any of our home games.  Some of my choir guys are on the team--they're built like Sherman Tanks, LOL!   It's incredibly exciting to watch.

Yes sir. lol, already cracked my nose running straight-up into a guy. learned to lead with my shoulder. it is a very rough sport; but still not as rough as football comparatively in my opinion. Though there are no pads, football has pads now b/c if there weren't the season wouldn't last a week because there'd be so many injuries from the brutality of the game.

Todd, you got a point about the cold weather man, lol. Ain't been this cold down south in a LONG time though.

Hmmmmmmm ... Evidently, there was some confusion today with a switcher coupled to each end of the diner...... Glad it is now safe.

Cal Tom  ...... UH, Oh ...... No Z-6, eh ...... Oh well. I'll look forward to pix of the next arrival, a 2-8-8-2.

I attended lunch with the local model rr guys. Gus was telling some of his adventures of plowing thru snow when he was an IC engineer.

Good evening gents, the cold weather continues unabated with very little snow melting. Not much MRR work done today, headed for the Mall with the wife for some items on her list, and I tried to find a replacement cooling fan for the video graphics card on my old PC. The fan makes so much noise it sounds like a 707 taking off. I have cleaned the fan blades, etc.to no avail. Of course no one had replacements, not even TigerDirect.com on line. There are some I found on Google search, but I dont know if they will mount OK.

I see the Diner has moved again in the freight yard, but what I want to know is, WHO LEFT THE OUTHOUSE ON THE FLATCAR??? They forgot to set the brakes and when I walked out the door the car was rolling free at 25 mph onto a siding headed for a dead end bumper! Luckily I jumped free before the outhouse crashed and sent ( how shall I say this nicely ) a "defication" storm all over the CEO Caboose! A certain someone was sleeping in the CEO car and was NOT too happy  folks ! Hint: he likes Berks !! LOL hehheheheheehhehe

RAY: Where is the Engineers hat for your little grand daughter ???

JEFF: At least the PC is working, too cold to work on brakes anyway, wait until warmer weather.

JOHN: Those were nasty waves that ravaged your dock and seascape. The photos were awesome to view. No Rosie dish yet I see, just dont go snowblowing a path near there, you will do what I did several years ago, one mangled dish and two broken shear pins and 2 hours trying to free the stainless steel dish.

JOE: Advise on girls....they are like kids in a candy store, they cant make up their minds which one they like so they sample. If she leaves him and doesnt come back, it was never meant to be, move on, there are plenty of fish in the lake.

MID WESTERNERS:  Get ready!! The worst Arctic blast of the winter is headed your way and headed further south also. A big storm is also going to pound you. Bring in the wood, stock up on blue boxes, and settle down for a long winters nap.

Afternoon all from FoggyCal:

Good thing I had the Yellowstone all steamed up, had to find this place again (yes, that was the loud noise going by on the adjacent track, LOL!).

Well, not much from FoggyCal.  Went back to school this Tuesday, everyone was walking around the halls in the annual Post-Christmas 'daze'.  I didn't want to tell them that officially Catholic Christmas isn't over until this Sunday, with the Baptism of the Lord.  Besides, they all know that.  Whistling

Father Bonafigilio came into my office Tuesday morning and pointed to the calendar muttering to himself.  I asked him what the problem was, he said, "Look at this.  Lent starts in a MONTH!"  "Oh yah,"
I grinned.  "Remind me to take my outdoor Christmas lights down pretty soon.  Last time this happened, I got caught short."  He cracked up.

Lost my very favorite Tenor this semester.  Seems his AP US History conflicted with choir.  I just stared at him and asked him which was more important (joking, of course).  He blinked, looked at me and said, "Doc, we're going to be discussing TRENCH WARFARE this semester."  Well, of course I'm not going to stand in the way of TRENCH WARFARE, especially when he's got a 4.3 GPA in History (it's going to be his subject in college).   Anyway, we put our little heads together, and I'm going to sneak him the music for the Spring Concert, give him some private coaching, he's going to learn it, join us for the dress rehearsal and concert.  I'm arranging for him to get Extra Credit with Administration.  Besides, I'll have him the ENTIRE year, next year when he's a Senior.   We're reviving some of the songs from "Carmina Burana" for the Spring Concert, and the guys are all hyped.

Life is good.  Tongue

Well, after thinking long and hard about it, I cancelled my order for the Sunset Z-6 Challenger.  Kept thinking about the fact that as a Great Northern engine, it would only see 'loaner' service on my Rio Grande Yuba River Sub, and besides, I came across this absolutely NEAT brass Rio Grande L-97 3400 series 2-8-8-2 at an absolutely BARGAIN price at Caboose Hobbies in Denver.  Now this is a Rio Grande loco that has only been made ONCE in brass, by Key, about 15 or so years ago.  And it's a model of the first 'heavy' compound mallet ordered by Rio Grande in 1916, so I know I'll use it more.  Anyway, I should have it within the next day or so.  This is the one that had the 'bummer' drive shaft that Bob Zimmerman at Caboose hobbies said he'd repair before he sent it along.  I can hardly wait.  Bob's my new hero, BTW.  Some stores might just send it 'as is' and let me do the repair work.  Not the guys back there in Denver, God bless 'em.

Photos, of course, will follow.

Several of my guys are also on our LaCrosse team--now THERE'S a sport that might not look like much, with those weird netted 'hockey' sticks, but oboy, do they get out there and SLAM each other on the field.  I was reminded by one of my guys that way back when, about the 17th Century, when the Indians played LaCrosse, they used the heads of their enemies as balls.  Shock  Gives you pause, it does.

Well, nothing much else here on the home front except back to teaching and (anxiously) awaiting my package from Caboose Hobbies.

Best to all, prayers to those in need.

FORWARD: The following may seem dated as it was posted this morning to the diner Ulrich started. Unfortunately there seems to have been a problem with that one and they hauled it to the car shop taking my highly important babblings with it. So... so you folks won't miss anything I shall repeat.

Oh my aching face. Something warm and aromatic please. (achoooo! Sniff, sniff. HONK! HONK! Cough, cough, Sniff, sniff) Excuse me. I do believe I have developed the sinus infection from Hade's. Nasal passages swollen and getting ready to explode, sinuses draining, coughing until my lung tubes and throat are so sore it hurts to cough.... And yet I'm luckier than many so, Coffee please. Thank You. Don't worry, no fever, not contagious, just sounds bad. Go through this at least once sometimes twice a year since I can't remember when. I'll understand if you sit ways away.

Just got finished reading a post about Uncle Al. Which I thought was in response to our beloved Al May-ash-Ho, (use a bit of imagination for that one), and thought, gee that sounds awful familiar. I think I'm psychic! Seriously, it's a shame the few raise a big enough stink to turn people off. By and large the overwhelming majority of people on this site are fantastic.

(HONK!, blow HONK! Sniff, sniff) Enough about that let's talk about , errr, um,, let's see....ME! As I said yesterday, I had to go into town to get some W-2's for the church and it happened to be a Tuesday and Castle Trains JUST happens to be open on Tuesdays and the Office stores in Springfield all happen to be on the same end of town.........Yes Chloe I'll speed it up a bit. Anyway, I stopped in and horror of horrors! I drew a blank as to what I needed. Luckily they aren't charging for browsing yet so I attempted to take inventory. I did pick up a code 100 to 83 transition track section, Yeah, I know DerJohn, it's cheaper to mash the joiners and I don't know why I don't do it because with all the transition track sections I'll end up having probably, with no more 100 track that I have I'll probably have as much wrapped (aaachooo), excuse me, up in transition track as I would if I'd just replaced the track with 83. I don't know why I do some of the things I do.

(bloww, sniff, blooow, sniff) Where does all that stuff come from?!

I got dibs on Jeff's other chili dog if he doesn't eat it!

Chris- Thanks for the pic of the Cougar. That sure is pretty or, was pretty. I always said if I every dropped the Pentastar, it'd be for a Cougar.

Sawyer- You keep talking about dressing warm for cold weather by only putting on a long sleeve t-shirt and long socks and us guys from the Midwe.. (achooo!sniff), Midwest are gonna lock your scrums! Smile,Wink, & GrinLaugh

Well, I guess I'll head down to Toddland (of which I'm king) and see what I can get accomplished. It's taken me so long to write this post with all the (sniff) interruptions, the time has slipped away. Hopefully I'll get "A Horse With No Name" out of my head! (Was it really written about a Heroin trip?)

Have a Great Day!!!

Update: Made it in the trainroom and looked for a bit but just didn't have the gumtion to do anything. Returned to the upstairs chair and plunked down. Stayed there all day. Now I must go to the meeting at church.

Joe, ah, strap him in a chair, slap him hard across the face, and throw a bucket of ice cold water at him (shouldn't be tough to find that; y'all are in New Jersey, lol) and pray that he wakes up and sees what's happening. It's probably just he doesn't want to admit what's going on and break up with the girl.

John, yeah man. lol, we'll see how the american style of rugby plays out, lol.

Evening all. Chloe, I'll take a bacon cheeseburger and a RBF, thanks.

I have practice tonight at 9:10 , but this rink is an hour away. So I have to leave here at 7... And I won't be home till 11:30... Joy...

Question for the audience:
Say your girlfriend (of 3 weeks) is supposedly cheating on you, but she denies it. BUT, the person she is cheating on you with basically confirms it. Would you trust your girlfriend and stay with her, or would you trust your friends (and the evidence) and break up with her.
Cause this is happenning to my friend. Everyone knows that shes a, well, I can't say it here but you know what I mean, but he doesn't think she is and that she is cheating on him.
We're all trying to convince him that she is, but he won't believe it. Here's the evidence:
1) She refuses to tell her parents that they're going out.
2) She didn't want to talk to him because she thought he was mad at her. He said he wasn't, and asked why she was, but she refused to tell.
SO, what would you do?????????

Well, I have more homework, and I'll catch up if I can get to it before practice. If not, then I will tomorrow after school.
