My first experience with model railroading was when I was a kid, about 8-10 can't remember exactly. I received a G.I. Joe trainset (4'x8') for Christmas. In '89 we moved from Florida back to Pennsylvania, to be closer to my mother's side of the family, so I lost the large room I once had, and the layout was stood on its side in the basement of the house we moved into up here... Living in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania has exposed me to quite a lot of railroad history, what with PCC trolleys still serving quite a bit of central Philadelphia. I have always been fascinated by the regional rail service cars! I got into learning the history of the area I lived in, always curious as to why roads are the way they are! Now I am attempting to model the New Hope & Ivyland RR and parts of SEPTA's regional rail service that connects the NH&I RR to the outside world. A recent move from Pennsylania to Virginia (Was working for NJ Transit, got let go, and subsequently hired by Keolis to work for the Virginia Railway Express [VRE])!
