Ulrich, instead of a home layout have you considered joining a local club, then building a module of your own vs. an entire layout?
Lee - I am a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to model railroading, as my choice is US prototype. The clubs we have around in my area all go for German prototype, which is just not my cup of tea. Club dues are also prohibitive - a regular membership runs up to $ 200 a year - money I´d rather spend on my own thing. However, I am still quite positive that I find a way to get started on model railroading again.

ns3010 - as to your question to the audience - it is difficult to judge the situation without hearing the other part. The best is not to get involved and leave it to the concerned parties to sort it out. You just can´t win in this situation.

After all - La donne e mobile ... [:D]
