Since nobody can seem to get it I'll just have to tell you, and I thought this was a really smart bunch. The shell is new, from Bachmann. The drive is Atlas/Roco, first released in 1976. The original body is Rio Grande #3084. It was also released as Santa Fe 7031, Chessie System 7032, Illinois Central 7033, Milwaukee Road 7034, Louisville & Nashville 7035, Western Maryland 3797, RF&P 125 and Cotton Belt 7602. * Undeterred by this minor setback, Bauer calmly re-fires the torch.

"There's more than one way to fry a DCC decoder..."

Bauer then realizes the Chief Jokester has revealed the secret. He extinguishes the torch.

"Sorry" he says to young Sawyer as he silently exits the booth and makes his way virtually unseen from the Diner.

Now that we got that settled, I thought I would share a photo that my sister took with my new camera after we got back to her house after dinner.  She was trying it out as she has finally decided to get into digital (since she can't find film anymore and hates what the only places she can find are doing to her photos when she has them developed....).  Anyway, the photo is for all us cat lovers our there.  The cat is called Mr. Bilbo and belongs to one of her neighbors.  It has adopted my sister as one of his servants.....

Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Hello everybody...

Looks like yo uare having an enjoyable Easter evening. Today, we had ham (how original), deviled eggs (here in KY they call them dressed eggs), and other good food.

Jeff kept everyone in suspense with that GP40 I see.

Hey, I figured out what save the captain from pirates. (Are you ready for this?) It was Easter Seals. Big Smile

Have fun, everybody!

Fortunately, I'll have plenty of company while I do it.  I know all the chow hounds will be coming in now that I have top of the page!

Good morning.

It's 55 and very foggy. The high should be in the upper 70's and it will be partly cloudy.

Went to lunch yesterday with my sister and had a very good steak and chicken meal in spite of the fact that the weather was severely ugly. Came back home then attended an Easter celebration and birthday party at my niece's home. Railroadwise I installed DZ125 decoders in a pair of GP40's that are now electronically and physically MU'd together. We dodged the bullet on the weather. The worst of it went to the north of us but that's not saying that it didn't get bad. It got downright nasty! Just thinking about how many limbs could be down on my parents property gives me some hesitation about venturing out.

Today's Weather for:
Sundown, LA 71446-6114 4/13/2009

Wind Chill: 55°F
Humidity: 100%
Dew Point: 56°F

So Far Today
High: 56°F
Low: 52°F
Rain: 0.01"
Rain Rate: 0.00"/h
Gust: 6mph SSE

Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 AM cdt this morning.

Today High: 78 Mostly sunny. Areas of dense fog with visibility one quarter mile or less at times early in the morning. Highs in the upper 70s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight Low: 50 Mostly clear. Cooler. Lows around 50. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Morning all!

Now that the Easter dinner with the in-laws is over, whew! Next is MIL Mother's day and MIL Bday.

Going shopping for a new computer chair today. This one is kinda beat and the wheel keeps falling off.

Wish I was shopping for a new loco, but *alas*. Looked at the layout after getting into the room yesterday. My, my has some dust accumulated in there. Still can't find the room, yet though!Whistling

Mornin' all. Just coffee please. Brain still hurts and the ole mouse hand is a bit stiff after Jeff's little Easter hunt last night. I was thinking as if it were something about the prototype not the model type. If I'd have known that then well I would have got it right off the ba......(sigh) No I wouldn't.Ashamed

Dreary day today so I don't know what I'll do. First the bookwork for the Church, then probably pay the taxes (sob), then maybe take a look at the wifes car. Hopefully just needs spark plugss. It idles fast at times. tries to go to proper idle but wants to die so the puter brings the idle up. 45,000 on the plugs so.... Then, and it's a big hope, head to Toddland (of which I'm King). Still putting shingles on the Farmers market. So far so good. And a bad spot where the track goes from a switch that's flat on surface to a slight grade onto raised track bed. wants to derail a couple of cars. If I raise the track just awee bit I think I can get rid of the dip that the crs want to "float" over when backing up only. Doesn't do it going up the crade just down (backing). I don't usually back at that spot but I noticed it when I had the trains going counterclockwise for that short bit. Oh well. Bulletproof the track laying turned out not to be.

Have a great day.

Mornin' everyone!

I'll just have a big mug a dark roast coffee in a FGLK Mug and a bowl of raisin bran of you please Zoe.

I have a lot of odds and ends to get done today, but no absolute deadlines except to pick up the entries for the convention.  Probably will do some stuff outside like cleaning up where I was splitting wood last fall before I mow later this week.

Currently 37°F under sunny skies here in the Finger Lakes.  Going to get all the way up to 48°F this afternoon.  Guess I can get away with the light jacket rather than the Winter coat............

It's raining like crazy here, and I just washed my car yesterday Banged Head. I'm just waiting for 10:55 to roll around before I go to my next class and then go home and try to do my taxes. Right now I'm just reading up on the last few pages.

Yesterday wasn't much of a holiday for me. Had to go to work, then when I get back home, yard work, then I worked on my car by washing it and cleaning the air filter. I still have to change the oil, don't think that'll get done today with this weather, maybe tommorrow.

Sawyer, you haven't heard of 24? What's wrong with you? (BTW, I really like that show, comes on tonight too)

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Largest UNION PACIFIC mug you've got filled with premium Columbian coffee, please & thanks.

Hardly slept last night with the howling wind and thoughts of MIL possibly coming back out here. That and the power switching on and off most of the morning hours. Anyway, keeping an eye out for the Farrier and the UPS guy, both are welcome visitors to the ol' farm.

Will be in a corner booth working on this coffee.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Guess I'll pour my own coffee refill.

Mighty quiet around here.

Farrier came and trimmed Tinytoons & Melody. No sign of UPS yet. My friend who usually delivers to us has today off, so not sure if we'll get our train stuff today or not.
