well, due to some stuff beyond my control, I'm going to re-plan my layout. Going to go back to the 6x6 configuration though.

Flo, ein decaf bitte, danke. (Ich spreche gut, Ich schribe nicht so gut) it's been a while

Heavy rain all day until now. (5:30pm)

Planned on a quiet day... Sister calls 8:00am "It's 64 degrees here".  Me; "It's 52 here".  Sister; "No, I mean inside, it's only 64 in the house."  A 2 hour ride up and $35.00 later I replaced the igniter in the furnace.  Diana's nice and toasty now.  Not bad a bad trip, in 4 hours there were only 3 accidents and 6 cars pulled over on the Garden State Parkway.

Since I was there.. visited the LHS for a few period boxcars for the coffee plant.  Also picked up a piece from home (Jerry).

Maybe tomorrow I can do some MRRing...   (as I nod of in the corner)

Glad those in storms way made it okay.

Good Afternoon all,

Got some good pics at the Swisher Easter Egg Hunt, THAT editor will be pleased, as usual Smile,Wink, & Grin.

VERY filling meal at Chili's...so just a stomach-settling 7-Up please, and thankya.

I guess I forgot to mention, the layout we moved last night, went from one garage to another. The guy is gonna stay with his "best friend," and her kid...to whom he is the Godfather. Like I said...an interesting deal all around. With six of us, the move was almost too easy. It was light-weight enough that even when we had to go underneath it to move it in the truck...piece of cake...err, pie!

It's very sunny here today, about 70, and the county is burning up again. My Chief decided today was a better day to go burn than yesterday, so was going to go do some controlled burns this morning. Not sure if they're still out on those, or out on somebody else's problem. I hear 'em occassionally on the radio, but don't know where they've ended up. IF they need more help, they'll hollar/page out for it, so here I comfortably sit, letting a too large lunch hopefully settle.

Apologies in advance for any gaseous eruptions that may result...

I'll have the steak and lobster.

I'll likely be going out to dinner tonight with my sister and my niece so I probably won't be back in here until sometime tomorrow.

And the bear trap out back goes KER-SNAP! as Barry steps in it.

Barry... That sounds like good news about Audrew, and I'm glad.

We continue to have company from out of town. So, not much mrr'ing here.

I'd like to be able to walk around like that. 100-150 yards is all I can manage, cane or not.

Evening, Aaah finally, been looking forward to this all day. Steak and Lobster please. Water to drink. Aaaand since Chris has had such a good day I don't think he'll mind if you throw a piece of Texas Sheet cake in there for dessert, along with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. SPLATT!! Hey! can't a guy order a piece of cake once in a while!? Barry didn't disable those catapaults he RE-ADJUSTED them. And since we're on the subject....

Barry- I am so happy to hear the good news!!!! AngelGive Audrey a big ole hug from us all!!!!

Just piddled around today. Stopped in the train room a couple of times to work a little on the farmers market. My first wood kit. Small and simple for a first one. Going pretty good. I like it. I'm trying to slow down on things and hopefully they will turn out better. Planning on another trip in tonight. Also trying to figure out how to show my old track plan and the new one so I maybe can get some tips before I get to solidified. Problem is I don't have any room for a runaround. I don't think I'll need one, but I also think I might come in handy. You know the old unforeseen raising it's ugly head .....again. Poor track planning on my part.Grumpy

Ray- You can pass the corny award to Galaxy. Funny!.... but corny.Laugh

In case you are wondering, ya'lls jokes don't go un-forwarded!!!!

I second Erics glad everyone in storms path ok. After listening to the weather channel's reports, many weren't as fortunate.Angel

Been pecking this out on commercials, watching THOR, Hammer of the Gods. I think I'll go to the train room. Oh, I saw in the I&M yard in Springfield Thursday, an MKT hopper sitting next to the repair shed. Yup, Sure did. I didn't get a real good look at the hopper itself, I was more surprised to see the 400 ft tall MKT letters than anything. Before I thought to take a better look the tree fence was in the way. You know I'm becoming less and less concerned as to what roadnames show up on my layout. (within some reason of course). I see all sorts of stuff out there. I can justify about anything. Hm. Ain't freelancing great.

I've been on a sabbatical for a few days, So Chloe, Mason jar of milk in the corner booth, please.

Joke Time!Tongue

In the early 20th century, there were many coal mines in the Canadian Rockies, including some in what is now Banff National Park.

On Saturday nights, many miners would ride into Banff and have a cup of tea or glass of lemonade, or just possibly, something stronger.

One Saturday, an inebriated miner missed the last train home. He wandered across to the yard, found an engine in steam, backed it out onto the main line, and drove it to his mine, stopped it, went to the bunk-house, and fell asleep.

He was charged with "theft of a locomotive" by the Canadian Pacific Rly., but he couldn't remember a thing about it.

The trial went like this:

Defense counsel: Was the engine on CPR property before my client moved it?

CPR: Yes.

Def: Was it on CPR tracks when he left it?

CPR: Yes.

Def: Did it at any time leave CPR tracks?

CPR: No.

Def: Then where is the theft?

Magistrate: Case dismissed.

Mornin' everyone!

Happy Easter to each of you who celebrate the faith!  And a grand, beautiful day today to those who celebrate other faiths.

Sun is again shining here in the Finger Lakes.  Currently 32°F with a high of 40 this afternoon.  Debating wearing my winter dress coat over my suit or not........  Probably not.

Have to get going as I want to get a parking spot at church. Wink

Todd, that is probably very good advise about the lawn mower, but if I were to shovel out the shed in January, pull out the lawn mower and get it running in the middle of January (if indeed I could pull enough to get it to fire up), the neighbors would very likely call for the van with the men dressed in white to put me in one of those "limited movement" shirts.............Whistling

See you all later and don't eat all that chocolate at one sitting!

Our neighbours tried that once. Gave up when they realized they left the gas in. What happens to gas left in the tank and the outside temperature is -20C with a windchill of -35C?----NO starta the motor!!Sigh
