Looks like you have a nice re-numbering/re-lettering project going on, Tyler.
I tried to de-weather a pair of boxcars, using warm-soapy water and a deck brush. One came out fine, however on the other one, I took off most of the car data and most of the road number. So I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get the car data and a number on the car, but I don't know if there are any decals for that purpose. I have a similar type of car, so if I had to make a decal, I could use that for the information.

An understandable error, but Alex is right... Mass Central is a shortline operating between Palmer, MA, and Barre, MA. Not to be confused with the Central Massachusetts, of course. A little history lesson on the Central Mass now...
The Central Massachusetts was a railroad chartered in 1869 as a parallel competitor to the Boston & Albany (later NYC, Conrail, and now CSX) running from Boston, MA, to Northampton, MA. It later became part of the Boston & Maine.
When the Wachusett Reservoir was built by flooding the Nashua River in 1897, the Central Mass (B&M by that time, but it was the Central Mass Division) was operating in Sawyer's Mill and South Clinton (both part of Boylston, MA) so a new alignment was built on the roadbed of the Worcester, Nashua, and Rochester Railroad. This included a short tunnel and a 1000+ foot bridge. The alignment rejoined the original track in West Boylston.
Eventually, the line was completely abandoned. As an interesting note, the MBTA currently owns the track from the Boston area to Berlin, MA (south of Clinton and east of Boylston). But with the Framingham/Worcester line so close to the south, and part of a rail trail already using the roadbed in Cambridge, (a Boston suburb) there's no hope for restored commuter rail service.
Here's the best (and saddest, to me) part: all of this is within biking distance! Darn those Boston people who flooded half my town 'cause they wanted to drink clean water!)

English exam wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. History was horrible. Period 6 World History (my class) is retarted and they were talking through the whole exam. Just to make it harder. But luckily our history teacher is really nice and usually just grades you on what you have done and he said that we could do an extra essay for extra credit. But anyway, it was REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD!!! (end of rant, sorry)
Last night, I started cutting up my CII and I have most of the wall removed. Just one tiny corner left, almost done. I'll probably finish the modifying by the end of the week because we get out at 11:15 everyday and we get Friday off. (No, we just about never have school.) Then I'll have to paint it, add a floor, benches, stairs, and signs.
Only 4 exams left! Yes, I know it's a lot, but 3 are already done.

I'm guessing it has something to do with most of them being transition-era modelers. When they hear Burlington Northern; they don't get the last part and think Burlington or they don't get the first part and think Great Nothern.

I finally removed the last portion of the wall on my CII- soon to be station. Now just waiting till I can get paint, etc.
Also continued on my F40. I removed all windows and grilles from the shell. All of the grilles are the same, with the addition of one small one in the back. So no modifying the grilles, just extending the body and adding a door, the extra set of grilles, and a different back. And ditch lights to the front.

I am a guilty party there... I have always heard them called C VI's or ML's. I just use both terms.
The Cambridge Rail Trail doesn't impede future operations at all...
When the B&M took over the Central Mass, the Fitchburg Railroad was a separate entity, thus they laid rail from a junction on the Boston & Lowell, through Davis Square and running parallel on a third track from where Alewife is today, to Clematis Brook. This created 3 East West competitors in the state of Massachusetts, and allowed the B&M access to the west. When they absorbed the Fitchburg in 1900, the Central Mass was demoted to a branch line, with all east-west traffic moving over the Fitchburg Division. The third track between Fresh Pond, and Clematis Brook was used until 1952, when they removed it, and built a switch at Clematis brook allowing trains on the branch to run on mainline rail all the way into Boston. When B&M acquired the Fitchburg they added two pairs of crossovers between Fresh Pond and Belmont. The first allowed Commuter Trains, and Branch traffic onto the third running rail from the Mainline when running outbound, while the second diverted mainline freights, local freights, and over sized loads around Cambridge on the original Central Mass Trackage. These trains merged onto the New Hampshire Division (Boston & Lowell), and ran on third/fourth iron most of the way to Boston. The two diverged prior to Boston Engine Terminal, with the mainline heading downgrade into North Station, and the Freight Trackage crossing over the Fitchburg Division on a bridge, and arriving in the Hump Yards. In Belmont Station, you can still see the remains of the third platform used by CM Trains, and its obvious of the extra width that was included when they built the Station/Bridge complex... The Bikeway is built on the freight bypass, and the switch at Clematis Brook is still in place.
Phew... Anyone who challenges my knowledge will subsequently be removed...
I'm the only one your knowledge in the Boston area benefits, Alex... I do have one question though: The Alewife extention of the red line, how was it built? Was it just covering up an existing line, or was it all a new tunnel? If so, was it using a TBM (tunnel boring machine) or cut and cover?
The Central Mass was built on the surface, there's a modern signal tower on Mass Ave in North Cambridge where the line crossed. The subway was cut and cover from Davis to Alewife, and was a very deep bore from Harvard-Davis, with the portion from Porter-Davis mostly under residential property.

Well I had Drama for the first time today, so far so good, it's a lot better than the 3 1/2 years of Spanish I had, that's for sure! It's all good when the first thing you find out in class is you are going on a Field Trip.

Well I checked Horizon's page on my F45 with sound/dcc I pre-ordered (from Standard Hobby and saved close to 100 bucks, which will probably go towards a second one, just need 80 more bucks). They are showing In-Stock, and Standard hobby doesn't say anything about pre-ordering. Hopefully it'll be here before next Tuesday (MR club night, read break-in and test time).

Which leads me to think if my another post of mine will be edited/deleted. "Spanish exam today was easy. (El examen de espanol no es dificil, es facil.)" Maybe not because I already had it in english and I was discussing my spanish exam.

I got that same message too. It sort of makes sense, so people don't have to sift through discussions in other languages to find one in English, but still... Sort of discrimination, IMHO...
I got some work done on the layout yesterday, including pouring "water" in a pond, swamp, and drainage ditch (the only three water areas of the layout) and working on several rock faces. I'd have photos, but the "water" is pretty brown-ish before it dries, and the rock faces aren't installed yet... I need to sculptamold around them to blend them into the surrounding scenery after attaching them.

Well, i might as well jump in on the fun. Today i finished up making the countours for my hill/ mountainous area of the somewhat diorama part of my layout. Hope everybody is having fun out there. O, by the way, im new here.

Then in math I got a 23 out of 22 or something (Bonus) and in reading, I got a 27 out of 30 on our final test for a novel we read. Then I went to Karate...tonight was street clothes night, so I wore what I did to school, I got a big roudhouse right under the eye. OUCH!!! Thankfully, he forgot to keep his shoes on, I'm fine, no black eye, then my parents and I had a conversation about the hole thing, I almost got grounded, need to watch my temper . On friday we are going to trade our health books in and start going to either music or art, I hope art. See ya all later.

Ty: Hope your water turns out, and I hope all your holes are plugged! BTW, don't ever, EVER lean or put something down on the water, because it leaves a very noticeable, and permanent dent. In fact, at a friends layout, he was just working on scenery, and put a bottle down in the river scene, and it left permanent dents, and there is also mysterious cat footprints. And the water was completely dry. This had been almost 2 weeks after he did the water.
