Tall glass of lemon water, please & thanks.
***RT, sounds like some very good news there, especially considering many of the alternatives.
Wife's popcorn cart arrived via UPS today. It's adorable (IMO) and will be a nice little addition to her circus/carnival layout.
Killer headache and backache tonight. Perhaps paying for that MIL's birthday cake I gobbled up earlier. I knew better and did it anyway.
Night all. Rob

Cool. My dentist is actually in Augusta. And he's a model railroader, so it's actually fun going to the dentist 9and i've never had a cavity, so that's better).

Morning all!
Got lots to do today. Gotta teach tonight, and have lots of schoolwork to catch up on too. Somewhere in there I have to go to my son's basketball practice. I don't like to miss that.
Packers said his dentist is a model railroader.
Is he the one who extracted a horn from a GP-9 becasue it had "toot decay"?
..............ooops ....oh good morning diners!

Hello ...
This is to express appreciation to those who expressed concern for our church friend, Diane, and prayed for her. We received the following in an email today today from her husband, Wayne. Prayers work. ..
"It's Sat. AM at 11:45. I just came in from Nashville for a short time ....Diane is doing great!!!!!!!!!............Her surgery went well last Tuesday afternoon. Her mass was some smaller than the doctors anticipated. Good news. On the flip side, they found some enlarged lymph nodes which they removed. As of now they have not gotten the pathology test completed on them. ..............her spirits continue to be optimistic. .........We don't know when she will be coming home .........
We both know and appreciate all of your prayers thus far. We know this progress could not have happened without them. Please continue to do so........Wayne......"
Thanks everybody.
Diners: ...and a bright sunny one it is here on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia! Breezy however, as it's been blowing for three days straight now. Again, waiting for things to dry. In the basement, the mainframe of the crane has it's undercoat drying, (I can already see where more sanding will be required, but it looks better grey than white with wood and paper portions.
(by CapeJim) Good to hear that you got your wood rods thing figured out.

Ahhh Yes I know this joke all too well... You see when I worked in the office several years ago,.... And I couldn't retract the email before she read it Funny how life can be

Looks like it time to feed Rosie-the-not-so-active dog. Dinner time will give a good time for the things to set up. TTFN

Autumn is definitely here, snow on Mt Mansfield, and Killington Mtn, VT, and the White mountains of NH, down to 3500 foot levels. A very Fallish 53F today, as we brought in more firewood for storage. With heating oil at $4.16 a gallon ( #2) , you burn a lot more firewood!!!
ROB: I am totally blown away at what you have been able to teach your horse!!!!! Absolutely amassing!!! When do you teach "Patches" to run your MRR trains??

JIM: No frosted Flakes...the window project is DONE inside and out, and none too soon, it is getting mighty chilly around here, the winds have been blowing constantly for days now, yielding a wind-chill factor that is 20F below the day temperature.
RT: Glad to hear that health issues are getting under control....diet is the main thing, after age 40, all men really need to control fat intake from ALL sources...keep up the good work RT, it will pay great health dividends.
Later guys,

Nice. It's actually nice, b/c the waiting room has about 3 to 4 model railroad mags, including model railroader and the NMRA bulletin. And we'll get to talking about trains while he's doing my teeth.
***Dick, I often wonder if Patches the Horse is still around. Saw that video years ago and was blown away by it. One difference between those fellas and myself is I would never feed my horses hamburgers, as our bottle baby miniature cows might find out and would surely have a fit. Thanks for posting it.
Wonder how (and how much work) it would be to do this for the wife's carnival rides? Anyone know what they are using for lights? http://www.tjscarnivaloflights.com/ Sure looks mighty cool. Perhaps I shouldn't let her see these video clips.
Found a place not all that far from us we simply must go visit, providing it's still there: http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM3W4Z Wife wasn't that impressed with the photo, but I suspect in person she would enjoy it and perhaps return home with a few new ideas.

Many years ago a pastor not 100 miles from here now (but this happened on the other side of the country) grew tired of the numerous phone calls (like "What time is your 11:00 o'clock service?"), together with the usual spate of telemarketers... and decided to answer the next call with "City morgue here, you stab 'em , we slab 'em!" You guessed it, that next call was from a family wanting help with a funeral. So PC, I'm sure you'd never yield to such a temptation.....
Nawww, I answer it, "City Morgue, you kill em, we chill em!"

It looks like Laser lights, but it also could be LED's, I suspect Laser lights used.
Hi, guys. I haven't been in for a while. I hope that you are all doing well. Looks like you are having fun as usual.
Dick, I finally bought the book. It is starting to take off now. Looks like it holds your attention. Thanks for the recommendation.
Winter is upon us. All that rain forces you inside. Layout work.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Evening Gang: I got in from the live steam meet a couple of hours ago. John and I ran my steam locomotive for the first timein months. It performed well. It was actually making steam going up the slight grade to Grissley Flats. After we got back from supper was a different mater. On the first run out I ran out of water coming into Maddox Jct. That's what you get for being in a rush to get going. I didn't check the water tank. Fortunately there is a track that goes back to Grissley Flatsso I backed to there and then ran Back to Terry Town. That's the main town with the water. As I was heading back a snake slithered across the tracks. I didn't mention that to the gals on the train. After taking on water I headed out again and the locomotive acted like the valve gear locked up west of Grissley. I backed up and started again and everything seemed all right. We were going up grade through Nusbaum gorage and it happened again. I got out and hit the valve gear with some oil and went on into Maddox Jct. There I did the back up to Grissley and went back to Terry Town. I dropped the train in the yard and put the loco up on the bay and dropped the fire. I'll go back over tomorrow and see what I can see in the daylight.
Well I've had my shower and gotton all the dirt off. Believe me there is alot of dirt from a coal burning steam loco.
Good to see you back in the diner Sue, even if you did set me up for top of the page. Have at it gang it's on me.
Good Night All

Good morning,
Rob, I would shy away from black. If you are going to paint the walls a FLAT light blue I would recommend: painting the ceilings FLAT light blue, or a FLAT "Winters Day" (sold at Lowes). What type of paint will you use to paint the backdrops and clouds? If you are using artist acrylics you may need to use a semi-gloss on the walls, double check with the instructions on the paint can before you leave the store. You may want to use a primer paint tinted with your choice of blue.
Did anyone see the DCC buyers guide on page 50 of model Railroader? The Lenz Set comes with a 10 year warranty vs. the Digitrax 1 year warranty. Any Lenz experience in the group?
