I'm completly whiped, so I'll give ya'll details from the football game tommorow. I will say we lost 20-6 and that we'll be playing for third in the county next thursday. also, I got a cramp in my right calf muscle when the other team's offense was on their 20 or 30, accidently came out a play, then played w/ a hurt calf till they drove to our 40 or 30, then my left calf cramped up, and it just WENT. I had to hop on ONE foot from the hash mark (the white lines between the sidelines and midlle where they put the ball if it goes out to the sideline side) that was on the opposite side of the field all the way to our sideline. My calves still hurt. time to ice them.

Evening Gang: Well I'll give it a try again. Mary Ann and I went down to get the cattle out of the pasture and one new calf wasn't with it's mother. We looked around the pasture and could not find it. I'm hoping that moma just has it hidden real good. We left the gate to the pastures open so she can find it. The last time this happened we lost the calf. It was killed by dogs or coyoties.
Jim what I ws talking about was when I'm typing my reply the line gets to the edge of the box or the right margin and it just keeps on going. If I make a goof and try to back space things just jump around, back and forth. Very confusing.
I also don't like having to go back to page one when you post.
As for the rest of the look the jury is still out.
Well the debates are on and Mary Ann is watching them so I'm going to go downstairs where we have Direct TV and look at some thing else.

Thanks! BTW, I hope only HO Athearn have poor motors. I've had good luck with my (standard DC) N locos, but they have only been test run, so I'll cross my fingers. The Athearn Bigboy though also has DCC. (gulp)
***Jim, (incase the quick post didn't work) I discovered there is also a 220 line (for the drier) just a few inches from the satellite cable, also. Wonder if this might create more interference than 110? Thanks for any info.

Got an answer back from Bergie, and he's gonna talk with his head techies about the missing stuff in the editor toolbar. So we may yet get centering, text colors and sizes and font selections yet (or not).
Paul, not sure if it was what you were talking about, but I'm noticing that I'm getting 'ghosts' as I scroll up when entering my post in the text entry box. For me, besides that, it also hides/obscures the toolbar icons (though most of them show back up if I mouse-over where they are supposed to be). Hopefully, Bergie and the alpha geeks will get the bumps in the road smoothed out soon.

A little while ago I did some work on my new Athearn SD40. The reason? a turtle could outrun it at full throttle, somewhat less than 30 smph. This was no surprise to me. This is the third (3rd) Athearn rtr loco in my possession to have a bum motor. I changed it out with one from an old Athearn F7 and the difference is night and day. What had been super slow was now greased lightning. I wasted no time in setting the decoders speed table to the road switcher settings. This cut the top speed in half, to about 80 smph. If this is an indication of things to come for Athearn then I don't want any more of their new motors. I also found that the top of the front truck is deformed thus it won't allow the worm cover to snap back in place. They'd be wise to find out what's going on or they'll be going the way of Tyco.

Nice pics! Did some railfanning myself the last few days up in Ontario. Though I have to work on some of the Photo techniques as I find Trains don't give you much time to set up then shoot. Then again the first train pics I ever took was when I was 14 and was learning to use my Mother's Kodak Billows camera
( @ 1918 and 120mm format) Man those trains looked so small in the site until you looked up and realized how close they really were!
As to the new forums I think the Jury is out but as fo me I don't mind them. They seem more proffessional in format and hopefully will give us more options.

Good evening ( in a vampires voice). I see alot of people are having trouble with the new website, but so far its running good for me.
Train wise. I weathered up a boxcar, and laid some track for the lower part of the layout. Not much today.
But then................................. I let the dogs outside for a few minutes, and the boxer found a baby squirell ( or how ever you spell it). Then another one fell out the tree. So here I have 2 babies crawling all over the place. I called a wildlife place here, and they said to put them in a box and the mom will come and get them. So far, one is gone, and I still hear the other one. If the one isn't gone by tomorrow, we can take it to the place I called and the will take care of it. As long as a snake don't get them.

Rob, I noticed the color choices, plus the alignment choices don't appear. I've already sent a PM to Bergie to find out if they're still available or just toast. The text color would be one thing I'd miss most, as it was easier for me to find names and see where someone had asked/responded to something. The alignment was good for getting images off the left edge some. I wish the notice about the images being resized was less obvious, but that may be something Bergie and crew are still tweaking.
The pictures seem more contrasty then before, but that might be due to the difference in brightness levels between PC's and Macs. Dunno on that one.
Good to hear, Rob, that things are coming along - I'll be asking our MRR club member your question tonight, and will get an answer back to you after that.

Afternoon Gang: Well after trudging through the jungle I guess I finally found the place. I had to log out and log back in to get to post b am.
Well this really stinks. My post went plumb off the message block and got lost. I'll come back later and try again.
I went shopping today for Christmas lights. Specifically for clear mini lights in strings of 20 lights each. I snagged 4 boxes at $1.25 a box. The math on these works out to 6 volts per bulb, making them perfect for replacing the Model Power lights in my structures. Two bulbs in series on an 11 volt connection. As I see it I have enough to do all my structures with ease.
After traversing a gorge and steaming through a seemingly endless tunnel, I arrived here. Is this the right time & place or am I in the TwilightZone again?

You're right, Fergie, it helps to log out and then back in (maybe just because I hadn't logged out the last time I was in the Diner). The new format looks nice, though a bit darker or more contrasty (not sure which just yet).
