Good morning. OJ and oatmeal, please.
Thanks for the remark, Paul.
PC ... thanks for the update on Mrs. PC and on PC Jr. ... Sounds like some real progress.
Jim CG .... Evidently, your club is progressing very well. I'm not familiar with the LHS that has the bar Mills signs you mentioned. Still enjoying the Grandpa role?
happy Model Railroading.

Morning all!
Got a busy day ahead.....as usual!
Wife and son are healing up well. My wife is getting around slowly, but without crutches or wheelchairs. She uses a walker sometimes, and other times she just goes. Depands on how tierd out she is. My son took three steps the other day without his braces. He's beginning to learn to walk again. He says it's wierd walking on his heels.
Oh well, gotta run.....later!
Good Morning, Zoe. Hey, those eggs look pretty good that Jeff had - Zoe, I'll have those off Bill T.'s buffet, and a cup of coffee, please.
Kind of cold for our area this morning - still 32 F at the airport (36 F downtown at the TV station). Supposed to reach the fifties today. (Where is spring? )
From the weather map on the news, it looks like Paul might get a warming spell out his way (80's F). Those of you on the east coast, watch out. Amazingly enough, it sounds like nobody in some of the Virgina towns and cities was killed by the multiple tornadoes that hit there. They will have some rebuilding to do, so they could definitely use our prayers.
I'll be at the table by the woodstove, warming up a bit, if anyone else comes in.
Blessings,
Jim in Cape Girardeau
Bacon and eggs for me today.

Evening, Chloe - just a cup of hot cocoa, please. Thanks!
Well, Dick, not to worry about our rain, since some places around here tonight are getting a hard frost warning... Weird weather in this area!
I think I did overhear Bergie asking Chloe and Zoe to do a bit of cleaning earlier today. So that might be why the TOTP got kind of messed up and confused. But now that all the MESS (tm) has been cleared up, the TOTP should be easier to track.
I'd say that a few of you made out like pirates , at your train shows - way to go, mateys! It'll be a while before our next trainshow around here, though. But I have some items on order through our MRR club member/LHS owner that probably will be in next week, and I got confirmation today that all the Bar Mills billboards I ordered were in stock. Anyone else see that Lee's Trains had found a load of the (now discontinued) Bar Mills billboards (besides me, and mine are on the way)?
At MRR club tonight we were doing some tracklaying (mainline into the big yard, some smaller sections of track on one of the curves, and our head trackplan architect Kevin was putting down cork around the turntable (the bigger 130' Walthers one, not one of Jerry's tasty delights...).
Guess I'd better head home and get ready for bed. W**k awaits tomorrow a.m. I found out that next week one of my co-workers in crisis will be gone all week, and the other will be out on Tuesday (better bring my lunch that day, huh?).
Blessings on your week,
I hope our friends in Virginia are OK....3 Tornados hit the SE corner of the state tonight, part of the same weather front that is all along the east coast. 200 people hurt, at least one death maybe more, severe damage.
LEE: I always check out Cody's office, I agree, always something comical at the end.
J.P.: Glad you got to go to Fenway Park in Boston. I have never heard of those two HS's where were they, in Boston itself, or outside the city ?
JEFF: I thought it was a little too bright for LED lamp.
Rainfall here is now up to 1.88" and raining presently at the rate of 0.27" per hour, but much heavier in downpours. Much more to come tonight and tomorrow.

Electric.
Dick: I think Bergie was in with his proton gun blasting away at posts at the order of Chloe.
Well, I'll be back in soon.
Mark
Okay, now I REALLY have the TOTP... Order up!
Evening Gang:
My best wishes are with you Garry.
No MRRing today. Mary Ann and I spent most of the day chasing around getting perscriptions, boxes for storing stuff and I got a blower unit for the Stihl pole trimmer motor head. The rest of the day I spent cutting up the trees that got blown down 3 weeks ago. The one on the stock trailer didn't do a great deal of damage. Just a couple of dents in the roof. Now we have more fire wood for the winter. I think that we have enough for several winters, actually. I should be getting a call from Clark Gardens that my stuff from Walthers is in. It's been all most 2 weeks since they were ordered unless Tray didn't get the order in as soon as I placed it. Tomorrow I have to take the new tractor in for it's 100 hour servicing. Time flys when you'er having fun.
Well I'm going to hit the showers and then bed.
Good Night All

Modeling the Southern Pacific in the 1960's-1980's
Hello ...
Jerry ... When is the Rockhome Gardens show?
On the layout, I have done a small amount of work getting a scene ready for the new depot. The local model railroaders visited briefly today. I'm leaving for Nashville Wednesday for my surgery on Thursday. I think it should go fine.
happy Model railroading
Happy late evening. The funeral went well. Good to see everyone.
Comical incuident: I was setting up the backstory to HO&N as going from Las Angeles to Cheyenne North of Salt Lake City and through several made up towns. Found a book saturday that had a Southern Pacific rail mpa on the inside cover. It followed exactly the route I had planned, and I didn't know. Maybe the RR gods are trying to tell me something...

Evening all -
I see the cyber ghost has visited my post from yesterday. I know... What post? Exactly what I am talking about... the cyber ghost paid a visit to it!
Anyway, I had stopped in last evening to let everyone know I was back from 'Beantown.' We had a great trip. Weather was nice too. Ballgame was great. What an experience for me! Went to 3 hobby shops out there. 1st one was a dud! 85% of the store was for modelers (plane, cars, etc) and a very small rooom in back of mrr stuff. The other 2 I went to, (Bill's Train Shoppe, and The Platinum Spike) had great stuff. So great, I spend over $500.00 between the 2 places! I will admit, I got some good deals.
Well all, it's time for me to hit the hay.
Take care!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Dick, that was a good video. Have you been watching Cody's Office on the Model Railroader page? It's really good, but there is always something comical at the very end.
OH good news on the model railroad stimulus checks, my GF reports 2 of her co-workers got theirs via direct deposit today.

tall cool glass of water, thanks.
You know it's bad news when a Doctor's office calls your wife at work to come in right away. Turns out her cholestrol in almost 500, which usually means "heart cath lab territory". She got the message loud and clear, having worked in CCU for most of her nursing career. Went to the store to immedietely start her on a healthy diet. The key for her will be when she leaves the house, not to give in to temptation.
The parent-Inlaws have rented themselves a room at what I am calling "The Overlook Hotel". Reminds me so much of The Shining". Even played the same music. Won't go into any details.Hope it works out for them.

Hey, what the blazes is going on here? When I logged out I was at the bottom of the last page and Mark was the new TOP, now I walk into the Diner a couple of hours later and my CC is on fire!! Did you do an edit Mark ???
RYAN: We are up to 1.50" here now, and that train just keeps rolling north. No let up until late Tuesday, and still looks like 3+ inches of rain here. I will need to cut the grass for the 1st time for SURE by Saturday once the sun comes out.
JIM: Cape Gerardeau made the Weather Channel once again, you guys are always in the news with the rains and flooding there. Good thing you are high and dry.
Trains.com website now has a new feature, a video utube where they interviewed an Engineer in this first edition, very interesting. Check it out guys and gals.
