Hi Gang. Not sure when I'll catch up on posts. Busy lot here. Just a quicky to say my friend found nothing wrong with the computer. Perhaps something fixed itself in transport to drop it off at his place or...? Better it decided to work than needing some kind of repair. Whew!

Good night all. Cowboy [C):-)] Rob

 ROTFL

You guys crack me up.  And to top that off, I think that I am gaining weight with all the goodies.  You know me.  I had to try them all.  I hope that you all had some, too.

 Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Hey, I don't know if you guys frequent the 2 Guyz and Sum Trains forum but one of the regulars over there Jim Marksbery from Butler, Kentucky built an N scale Hand Made Fishing Lure shop and named it after yours truly!

Check it out at: http://2guyzandsumtrains.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=4725.html

Hey Lee, you know, I was really shocked when I first saw it because he never told anyone about it until he posted that thread. I'll see if he has any N scale lures ready yet, but I think there is a long order list already....Whistling [:-^]

Morning all!

And just how does this morning find you?  Well I hope.

Kind of a cold, wet one around here, but it's supposed to clear up later.

Had a nice dinner last night.  A lady from our chuch came over and fixed it for us.  We had cheeseburgers and fries.  She seemed nice.  We talked a bit about our church and our families while she cooked.  It was nice to just sit back for a change since I usually do all the cooking when I get home from work.  I guess she's coming back tonight, or maybe it's someone else.  Who knows?  I just think it's so nice that these folks would do this.

So I'm only doing a half day today.  I have to take the wife and boy up to see the surgeon for a checkup this afternoon.  I'm thinking that he'll get his hand cast removed and she'll probably be allowed to start putting a little weight on her leg so she can start walking again.  All good signs!

Ryan, thats pretty cool!  That gives me some real good ideas!  You know, I'll be modeling a seaport.

And Mark has his Big Boy and all is right with the world!

Oh well, I'd best run!

Later!

I thought that I would stop by for a quick coffee.  Larry should be home about 9:00 this morning.

Rob,  I am sure that there is enough cake to last into the weekend. So have a piece for breakfast.

I need to get a few things done around here before I  head to town for my haircut.

Hey, Jeff's biscuits and gravy look tasty.  I will have some on Lee's tab.

Sue

in a SOUTHERN mug, and a slice of Sue's birthday cake, please & thank you!

***Ryan, that's cool. So do you get a % of every Lure sale the little people make?

After setting out some track on the layout table, it is obvious to me now there is little room for what I would prefer having. Now I'm thinking of a very simple track plan. If I sell off my box of atlas snap & Bach EZ track, I might make enough to buy the Unitrack switches to go with that track. With time restraints, Unitrack might be the most sensible way for me to go.

Need to track down some hay today. Wife is out trying to track down her crazy/insane/looney parents....(don't ask). Well, have a great day all. Cowboy [C):-)] Rob

Looks like a laid-back afternoon in the Diner. Zzz [zzz] Duke! Duke - WAKE UP!! Sigh [sigh] Guess old habits die hard, huh? Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] Zoe, I'll have a root beer float

and a ham 'n' cheese sandwich, please 'n' thank you.

Rob, I bet several of us in the Diner can understand that "Gee, that's ALL the room I have to work with?" feeling. Never too much space for the layout - sometimes too little time and My 2 cents [2c], but pretty much never too much room! Have you considered getting one of those GPS chips implanted in your wife's parents? (Just kidding... I think...)Oops [oops] I'm sure it's a headache for your wife (and possibly you as well). Hope she tracks them down soon.

Okay, Sue, so how short are you getting your hair cut? And will you make a wig from all the hair the stylist cuts off? [;]

Mark appears to be busy trying out his Big Boy, since I notice he hasn't been in the Diner for a while today. Good start on the review, Hoople!

Somewhat busy morning for my

so far.

I went by the credit union and picked up info for opening an account, so I can do that once payday arrives. Only down side I found so far, is that they do charge for money orders (current checking account doesn't). But if the credit union isn't nailing me for every nickel and dime otherwise, the cost of the money orders may not be a big problem. Hope that'll be the case, anyway.

I'll be in the corner booth by the window if any others come in, Zoe (or if Duke wakes up - man, that guy can sleep!)Whistling [:-^]

Blessings on your start of the weekend,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

refill, please & thank you.

Made two hay runs, one load of real garbage hay (will feed to the cows) and one of the more $$$ good stuff, for the horses. Price of hay is killing us! It's trying to rain here. Hasn't done so since I emptied and cleaned one of the holding tanks...figures!

Yesterday, while trying to change out the house water filter, the entire unit cracked so I had to shut off the supply, cut out the filter unit and temporarily glue in a strait section of CPVC until I can buy a new filter housing. So, our water tastes like a combination of pipe glue and sulfer/mineral well water = Dead [xx(]

The good news is....uh....let me think here...uh....Grumpy [|(]

Afternoon Gang:

Happy Birthday Sue Happy B-Day [bday] Have whatever you want on me today.

I'll make this short and stop back in tonight. Lee on the admarals staff. Isn't that going to cut into your railfanning while on duty? Anyway congrats.

PC I think that your son's going for the sympathy vote. I'm very happy that he's home and doing well. Same for the wife mate.

I'll see you all later.

Evening all -

Hope this day finds you all well.

PC - Great news on the boy! Thumbs Up [tup]

JimCG - Actually, the g/f has met all of my family over the course of the last 6 months at various family functions. For Easter, she decided that since my parents had no family to cook for, that they come to her parents' for dinner. So, the invite was extended to them, and they came to their place. Everyone had a great time as well.

Well all, time for me to get going. Need to finish up laundry and eat dinner.

Take care!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Jeff, a cold day in 48169?  If you search for this zip code on http://www.usps.gov/ you will find "not acceptable" listed as one of the towns.  There is a He double toothpick, MI

Yes the "puzzle palace" may curb my rail fanning, but I will be on the 21st floor so I might get some good aerial photos!

Actually my new job involves travel around the Great Lakes, this means more rail fanning in spots I've never been to!  Maybe even Duluth and/or Superior.

Hoople, it snowed here last night and this morning, but no accumulation. Now that you have your BB and challenger you need about 180 ore cars or hopper cars to go with them.

I managed to get Dorothy (GF) to eat solid food today!  This is the first time since last Sunday.  Here sinus infection traveled into her jaw and things around here have been somewhat miserable.

I just wanted to thank you because now I have some cars to go with my new locomotive!  They look really good.  I'll see if we can take a picture later and post it for everyone.  Thanks again!
