Evening Gang:
Rob I'm sorry to hear that Puddles didn't make it. I'm sure that you and your wife will miss her. As for the post hole digger. Any place that you could hang it from will work. Say a rafter or tree branch. The post really worked out since we also can store the extra augers there also.
Mary Ann crashed today after we got back from breakfast. I took her up to bed and tucked her in and tolded her to stay there and take a nape. She did and feels better. of course now she'll probably be up all night working and want me to do the same.
I'm going to run and watch CSI.
Good Night All
Good Evening from not quite Winterpeg!
It has been a while since I've stopped in but I have been looking in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.
Rob, sorry to hear about Puddles. Don't know much about goats but seems like she was one of the family.
PC, great news about your son's and your wife's progress.
There was a comment made a while ago about shipping water south from Lake Michigan and the sentiment was that it was a bad idea. Don't think it can be done anyway, at least not with the existing treaty between Canada and the US as I believe Canada's consent would be needed and I doubt very much we would be too keen on the idea either.
Seems like spring is happening for most of you which is good news. We hit 10C (50F) here today! At this rate the snow should be gone in a week or so.
Not a lot new with me. We went to visit friends in Minnesota last week-end. I picked up my order from Trainworld I had delivered there. Got a great deal on a set of 4 undecorated Spectrum passenger cars. They are lighted and have interiors too and all for only $50. With a set of decals they will be easy to turn into CN units. I'm not sure what I will really do with them as I already have a set of CP heavyweights and a CN set from Athearn. With my small layout a 3 car train is a long one, not to mention the curve issue. But as they say, it's my railroad and I like them, so there.
It was announced on the news today that gas is going up to $1.21/litre today which is about $4.60 a gallon. Glad I'm not driving a Hemi!
See you again soon,

Sorry, Paul.
Sorry, Rob.
Sheesh( to steal Capejim's Phrase) I for one can't wait for the new life of SPRING!!
PC: That is a very nice picture.
ROB: sounds to me like Hoople sent ya some vibes!
RYAN: engine service is coming right along!
I-5: Saw the pics, nice!
RT: it's meant to be, good luck! Don't mention you know PC.
LEE: good buy on the figures, I picked some up on the bay but haven't painted them yet, either.Maybe Jeff'll give us a package deal?
53 f here today. The CFO called to let me know she saw 6 bikes out today, wants me to get the rides ready!I hope that doesn't mean MRR is over!!!!!!!

This is "Puddles" from a few years ago, working her "Pygmy Auto Vac" service. Sadly, I just burried her. She was a very sweet little goat who loved following us everywhere. She will be missed!
***Dick, enjoy that trip and take LOTS of photos to share.
***Paul, sounds like a great solution. Has me thinking of a simple & practical sollution for where our post hole digger resides. I have extra cables, pulleys & come-alongs to work with. A project to add to my "one day" list.
Made a hay run & set the posts today for the extended IG run. Looks like potential for severe weather tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing well. Rob
Afternoon all,
If Jeff brings his spray gun to paint people then the party will only last a half hour or so, LOL
Came home from work and had a package and a note in my mail box from Foul Rift. He said he made a diner and a yard office out of the passenger cars I gave him, and as soon as he can borrow a digital camera he will be back to share some pictures.

Afternoon Gang:
Rob and Sue: We have a tall 6ft post at one of the brace posts down by the barn. John welded a 4ft piece of pipe on the top horizontal to the ground. We then attached a chain to it at the end. The post hole digger hangs from it. When I want to put it on the tractor I just back up and raise the 3 point. Then I wiggle the digger frame into position and hook the linch pins in. After that I hook the tail of the digger into the upper link lont hole and hook up the pto. That's it and away I go. No heavy lifting envolved. When I take it off I back up to the post and hook the chain up and lower the three point a couple of inches. Pull the linch pins take out the upper link pin disconnect the pto and away I go. I used to use a tree limb but this is better. There are also a couple of short pieces of pipe standing up on the brace posts cross arms where I can store the extra augars. Nice and neat and everything is in the same place.
Take care All

Hey, don't mention it! Glad to be of assistance!
Afternoon all. Not much going on.
I've been working on the mill. hope to get some pics up then.
What's new with everyone else
Good afternoon everyone....hey, I see that Jeff still has some SOS left for sale in the Diner, I haven't had that since my Army days in the MESS Hall. No Fergie, not your RR room!!
Nice day here today, very little wind finally, sunny day, and temp has climbed to 45F headed for 50 or 52.
Today we are outside raking and cleaning the yard, grass is turning green, the trees are all budded, snow is all gone, so with rain coming in for tomorrow and Saturday, I can work on layout those days....but I'll bet the CFO has plans also.
We just bought our tickets for the next train excursion via the Mass Bay RR Enthusiasts, for May,17th. The train will run from Pittsfield in the Massachusetts Berkshire Mountains near the NY border, to Canaan, Connecticut. This will be the first Passenger train to traverse this line since 1980 and will follow the old track route along the Hoosatonic River past Stockbridge to Canaan. Photo runbys along the way also.
BOBK: Keep your ears to the tracks on the Canton crash please, I am very curious on what happened there.
RYAN: You are well organized and well prepared......doesn't surprise me one bit !!
LEE: What time is the painting party? I hear that Jeffrey is bringing over his spray gun also.
ED: Are you up yet?? I heard you stayed up celebrating the Red Sox victory again last night! Fran is going to boot you in to the Orchard!
Ok, time to get moving, Jeffrey, that SOS you made this morning was great!
Whoops, Skagway is from Mom (the real Jan)'s Alaska Cruise. Some of the pics are hers too.
CMPA: City of Madison Port Authority.
in a UNION PACIFIC mug, please & thank you.
***Philip, you have the kind eyes of a serial killer. (KIDDING)
***Sue, the Challenger is an old Rivarossi (red box) Union Pacific 3977. I doubt I've run it for over an hour during it's entire life with me. Bought it new, but never had a layout to run it on. I'm putting it up on the-bay tonight for a 10 day auction that will end a week from this Sunday.

Since the description of the bank robber was a skinny black man, I was a subject of little interest.

I was thinking that one of Bill's donuts sounded yummy this morning, Chloe.
Bob, At the museum, they had a film clip showing the disassembly and moving from Longbeach to McMinneville by barge. It was trucked the last 7+ miles. What an ordeal. I think they said 44 pieces. I could not get a photo of the whole thing inside the building.
Ryan, They had a mini set for the filming. We never did find what scale it was in.
Rob, Tell me more about your Challenger.
Jim, If you use the living room, does that mean you don't have a life? Our layout is roughly 13 x 14, and that should keep us busy for a long time. If we had larger, we would never be operational. I will check in later for RBF's.

That might be tougher to find since that is not in the cabinet.

Thanks. I got the shipping building done and parts of the old mill and the power plant. I guess i've got an incentive to finish now!
Will post photos soon
BTW PC, did they catch that crook?

I believe Bill jr. is buying...So, I'll have what Jeff is having.
Good Morning, Zoe - I'll have a glass of Ed's OJ, cup of the java, and some of Bill T.'s breakfast buffet, please. Thanks!
Lee, that's still a good buy on your figures, and this way, you can make them all different from everyone else's. Great price! I've bookmarked that seller's place for checking after payday gets here.
Rob, if you get a newer engine, as you said, it'll have better detail and should run every bit as good as your Challenger did. Whatever gets you through (and leads to maybe a better loco, too). Got the BB fever, huh?
Flashwave (Jan), I like the paint scheme on those locos in your pics - pretty sharp!
RT, I'm guessing you don't mean you are waiting to have fingerprints, right? Hope you hear back soon on starting that job. Like a lot of government-related stuff, it sure takes a while... Best wishes for a great pay rate and a quick starting date there!
Sue, I'll have to 'fess up that I'd missed the "S&L", but that is a nice touch. Glad to help you get your RBF fix. How big of a drop does Larry have to reach with his trestle? You might get him in touch with BridgeTom (twhite is his forum name, I think), who's built a few trestles and bridges (though his have been a lot of steel ones).
Fiddled around with some layout designs last night some. I'd realized over the weekend, that I would need more space than just a spare bedroom if I'm going to fit even half of the structures I already have in it. So I've been working on a little bigger (12 X 12 so far, but I think I'll have to look at a duplex and commandeering a fair amount of the living room or garage. Maybe then I can use most of the structures... or maybe not!).
Well, need to get back to the w**k thing. My 9:00 appointment will be arriving soon. I'll drop by later in the day (maybe for a root beer float, huh, Sue?).
Blessings and a dry place to stay today,
Jim in (soggy) Cape Girardeau
