Good evening all,

Garry you were right I did some work down in the train room tonight finished laying the turnouts and road bed for the west end of the yard and the approach tracks to the round house.  Now I need to start on the east end of the yard and figure out where the ice house and icing tracks will go.

Good Evening All,

Chloe, I'm just finishing up work, so I'm phoning in ahead.  Could you please have a BLT Club waiting for me as well as a root beer float.   Thanks loads.

Hoople,  What did you catch the teacher doing to get marks like that...  WOW

Lookie Lookie,   Cape Jim is going to be a Grampa........   Many Congrats to all.

ROB,   Sorry to hear about the little goat.  I have a friend in Alberta who raised them for many years and I know how attached you become to them.  Always very sad to loose a dear pet.

Had a good time today at the Train Show at the Western Developement Museum in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.   It is on again tomorrow, those of you who missed today, try and catch it tomorrow.  Renewed some old acquaintences and gathered up some goodies.

Some wonderful layout exhibits were on hand and some good buys from the vendors.

Thanks for the email Jeff, that's a great help.

Prayers and blessings to all in need

Can't Complain about the weather,  I think it is finally spring in the prairies.

Evening Gang: I spent the day over at Terry's track with my tractor. The old Kabota with the loader. I cleaned up the burn pile and then Terry wanted to re-arrange someof the sceanery. I'm going to give up the 7.5 inch gauge. It's a whole lot easier to do hills in HO then move a bunch of dirt. Running that tractor is work and don't make any mistake about it. I'll be going back tomorrow to finish up, I hope.

John finished up the painting in the living room and front hall. I don't know exactly what he'll do next. I'll be glade when he's done down stairs and can get working on the bathrooms up stairs.

Hoople congrats on the grades.

I'm really bushed so I'll head for bed.

Good Night All

Evening, Janie - a cup of hot cocoa in a go mug, please. Thanks - might have to head out on short notice.

Chuck, good to see you back in the Diner (and Mike too - loved your story!). Wish we could send you folks up there some of our nice weather we had today. Our weather today was really good - 62 F for the high.

Hoople, congrats on the grades - we expect to see that trend continue, young man! Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Thumbs Up [tup] Oh, I understand you've been infecting some Diners with the BB bug, huh? Wink [;)]

RT, will you need a FRED on the back of that mobile home? Hope you hear definite word soon on the new job. Thumbs Up [tup]

Looks like some of you have had the nasty weather lately. Glad everyone seems to have made it through okay so far.

I saw my deposit was in the bank, so got some money and I was going to open my account at yon credit union, but found out I have to come in Monday and do that inside instead of the drive-up window. Dead [xx(] Ah, well... sorry 'bout that delay, Dick! I'll get there Monday, for sure! Got some groceries and fixin's today for making beef stroganoff, put some gas in the car's tank Shock [:O], and paid my PO box rent (and picked up my current issue of MR, which had come in).

My SIL Andy called about 10 till 7 this evening (after I got back from church). to inform me that he and my daughter (Sarah) are at the hospital and I think he said that labor's started. Might not be too much longer until young Drew (not Andrew - that's his dad's name!) arrives. I may have to go find some food at a fast food place - I was thinking I might hear something already, so I didn't start fixing my dinner. Now I'm thinking I should have. That, or Janie, maybe I'll take a plate to go.

Well, better get my go plate and get back by the phone. If I get any pics once Drew is here, I'll see about posting them (unless Sarah or Andy vetoes the idea).

Blessings and prayers for healing,

Jim (future GrandDad) in Cape Girardeau

Hey, when my nerves settle down enough that my hands aren't shaking very much I jump on it and get the work done as quickly as I can. Sometimes I have to wait a week or more. This time I got lucky.

refill and make it a strong one, please & thanks.

After feed rounds and a trip to the PO, been back at work over in the cabin. Also trying to consolidate all the Inlaws stuff in one location (mostly large plastic containers of stuff). Need to spend more time at the easel, too. Wife is working endless 12 hour night shifts these days and it is taking a serious toll on her. Hate that.

Good afternoon to all, cloudy again here today but at least it is warmer (47F) than yesterdays raw 37F. The head cold is in full glory, now I have a cough to go along with the stuffy sinuses, that is usually stage three. And, I am lector at 4pm church service today, I ought to sound real good, like talking with a tin can over my head. LOL

PC:  Today it is Acts 2:14, 22-33 and 1 Peter 1:17-21. I hope my voice holds out.

I just finished installing Digitrax DZ125 decoders in two Athearn BB's, an F7-A and a GP50.

Pics of the units can be seen in the WPF thread, page 2, reply 6.

Not much goin' on here.....and I plan to keep it that way!

It's supposed to hit 60 degrees later, so I might just have to take the little lady out or a stroll.  Then tonight, we hit the church to hang out with friends and listen to another great sermon.  Can't wait!

Evening Gang: Not much going on here. I went shopping for light fixtures with Mary Ann. I do dearly love that woman but she drives me nuts when shopping for stuff like that.

I got all my dues paid to the various organizations that I belong to and renewed my subscriptions to MR and Trains and got a subscription to Live Steam again. There is a story on the narrow gauge locomotives that we built down here in Texas in the lastest Live Steam in case any ou you get a chance to see a copy. Tomorrow is a work day over at Terry's track. We're still wroking on getting ready for the meet the last week in April. Ed should be coming up for it. Next weekend is the train show at Clark Gardens. Everything seems to happen at once.

All you sickies take care of yourselves. So far I'm doing OK in the sick department. Knock on wood.Banged Head [banghead]

I got a call from Tray at Clark Gardens that another one of my Hiawatha cars is in. I guess I'll haul the portable track out there Monday and pick it up.

Good evening......I'll have a hot chocolate please, my head is falling off with this darn cold.  It seems like everyone up here is getting this now...ohh well. I did get to train room finally, doing more paper design layout. I must admit, the hardest part for me has been doing a layout design that encompasses what I want. Sometimes I think that I am trying to place 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag. Sooner or later I just have to put a stake in the ground and go for it.

JEFF: NICE !!!!!!  Do you burn coke or antracite in that hybrid? LOL Do you have insurance ...LOL

CHUCK: Good to hear from you, you had us all worried, you have been missing so long that there was a rumor going around the Diner that you had gone out in the Cascades with National Geographic photographers looking for Sasquatch!!! Pssst, you forgot one piece of paper on the floor, get it before Cathy come back in the room.

ALL: Has anyone seen the Fergmeister anywhere in the Diner? I think Lisa has him hogtied to yard duty, and I don't mean RR yard !! LOL

BOBK: CSX and the State of MA are going at it over the trackage between Framingham and Worcester. CSX want a NO FAULT agreement and the State said, " are you nuts"? CSX can cause accidents to Passenger trains due to lack maintenance etc. and the State pays?? BS !! If CSX doesn't agree to reasonable terms shortly, our two Senators are prepared to draft legislation taking the rails and doing the dictating. Rail service between Boston and Worcester has suffered for years because of that stretch of tracks.

MIKE: Glad to see you in the Diner, we thought your igloo collapsed or something worse. Has the snow melted from your yard yet?

Ohh oh, another sneezing fit....see you guys later...

Evening, I'm still alive, just stopped for a quick cup.

Joke for today

A husband and wife came for counseling after 15 years of marriage.
When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate,  painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the 15 years they had been married. She went on and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured over the course of their marriage.

Finally, after allowing this to go on for a sufficient length of  time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and, after asking the wife to stand, embraced and kissed her passionately. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze. The therapist turned to the husband and said, 'This is what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do this?'

The husband thought for a moment and replied, 'Well, I can drop her
Off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish.
