I have been trying to rework it a little to accomadate all of the things that I want. More buildings and objects, more turnouts to park on, and at least one loop of the biggest diameter that I can get in there. Of course that would be O72, and that is a little tough to get in there. More multiple trains running at the same time. Room for the operating firehouse! But I will try to keep the loops.

Hello All!
The Chief's been quiet lately! He must be showing, Waffle-Tail, Buck-Tooth, & Cross-eyes(The Builderberg Beavers) How to smoke cigars with pink insulation & JTs Mega-Steam fluid in order to make their cigars last longer. I wonder who will get the Bunny Ears this year at York? Maybe Bob K or Carl Swanson?? Those guys have all of the fun! Mitch will probably hide behind Laz as he's had his turn. It's time for another Member to share in the limelight. Take Care & have a nice evening.
Wes - cool videos! Loved that view down from the bridge, wonder how many cameras are down there?!
88 - You should tell your wife that you just wanted a little storage for train magazines and thought that you could slide some in between the drywall and studs! Instant magazine rack!
Don, I'll bet Roy had that fixed in no time!
Nick - cool buy, glad it runs on local power for you! I just got a dvd on ebay from a lady in England - Oh Mr. Porter! and Convict 99 (set). Oh Mr. Porter was pretty darn funny considering how old it was. Especially when he's talking on 2 phones at the same time and then trying to get the Express to stop at Buggleskkelly Station! My favorite part though is when he tries to shunt the trucks out of the way with Gladstone (1864) and pushes them off a cliff, then backs the passenger car onto the mainline just in time for the Express to disintegrate it! Some good verbal Abbott and Costello type stuff too. Too bad this is an R2 disk, so I can't lend it to my friends to watch. I'll have to watch out for an R1 copy in the future! John Baker put me onto this one and I really liked it a lot. Need to track down the other one he told me about - I think it was the St. Trinians Railroad Robbery or something?
John Baker - where are you, anyway? ERNI acting up and converting your spelling to MS-Frenchie?
Congratulations, Mel! Can't wait to read it!
Doug, we had rain 2 days and then this afternoon it poured down for about 15 minutes while the sun was shining!
Mitch, good luck on the York shopping, let us know what you find! Glad to hear your mom is doing better too.
Sir James, I think I paid top dollar MSRP for my BFOC plus shipping too! Oh well, live and learn!
Fifedog, have a great time at York!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Evenin' boys. Evenin' English. Pre-York preparations all made. Looking forward to seeing YUZ GUYS tomorrow. All requests duly noted. Looks like sloppy weather tomorrow. Was going to bring my hip-waders, but then Jim A said he wasn't coming...
88 - Terrible fortune in that bathroom. Take it you won't want running water on the new layout. Enjoyed your slide show of Roadside America. Chief even showed up there.
Wes - A)Thanks for sharing your D&S pics with us. B) Please don't reconfigure your layout...add to it a little if you must, but don't drastically alter the original looping.
EARLY EVENING FOLKS,
75 degrees but storms are forecast for overnite.Hope they go somewhere else.

Evening Folks,
I'm back home after spending the afternoon leisurely strolling the Orange Hall. Did not run into any Coffee Pot members. But, I did run into two other guys that I know.
Did not make many purchases, in fact only 1 purchase, a RMT B&O RDC car. I think I am also going to go back to the guy tomorrow and buy the sound kit for my RMT Beep. IT was only $25. Sounded great.
Take care,
Mitch

I received an advance copy of the December 2007 issue of Trains magazine this afternoon. I am now in that elite company of other "Coffee Pot-ers" who have been published. I wrote a letter to the editor a while back. They asked for a picture. The picture and letter are at the bottom right corner of page 6 and continued on page 7 of the magazine. Not Toy Trains related but you are the guys I have begun to connect with. Will be interested in your comments when you see the letter.

Evening All, 20:00hrs here in Peterborough. Thanks for the ice cold Bud Jim I've a 6 pack of Coors Light in the fridge (brewed under licence in the UK, but its not too bad). Help yourself to a silver bullet guys.
My ebay bargain Lionel 700e animated lamp showed up today. More decor for the gamesroom. Charlie loves it, Wife thinks I have lost the plot. For those on this side of the pond it works fine on 50Hz with a normal 120V stepdown transformer. Finding a 110/120V light bulb with a ES fitting is easy as they are sold for inspection and site work lights.
Oh that reminds me, if anyone who is going to York gets the chance to view the TMCC 2 demo and ask questions. Could you ask if its 50Hz compatible? Its not a problem for me as I have the 60Hz inverter set up. But it would be nice if Lionel have thought of the international market as MTH did with DCS which is 50Hz compatible.
Gamesroom and Garage is really coming along. Gamesroom now completly dry walled. We are making progress in the shower/toilet with tiles going on the wall. Main fuse box now connected up. Talk about wires everywhere! We labled everything which really made life easy. I am going to do the same for the layout wiring.
Great pics
Have a good evening
Nick
I would say that your train was longer that day (or at least closer to the corner)...Nice picture though!
Don
Made it to work, highlight of day will be getting calls from guys at York, talking about fantastic deals and temptations. Glad to hear that the Big Boy will be finally shipping. Should make the Chief happy!
Have a great day ALL !!!!

So many roads, so little time.
Mornin FellasLast night when I got home I started back to work on the toilet room... the underlayment is now completely off the floor! And I did NOT need to use the affore mentioned M-80! Although that did sound like a load of fun! As I suspected the dehumidifier really sucked that water out! The underlayment was very brittle and came up pretty easy. The subfloor, as I suspected was wet too and very heavily mold ridden! When I was removing the underlayment I put the prybar right through the subfloor! So that will also need to be removed. Since the subfloor seemed to be very heavily mold ridden, I decided to start the dehumidifier and let it go for the night. Around 10pm curiosity got the better of me and I went back into the toilet room and started pulling up the subfloor... removed enough to get to the two floor joist and found NO water or mold! So I don't have to worry about that... just have to get home tonight, rip up the sub floor, replace the toilet drain, reroute the water supply, and then reinstall the subfloor and put down new hardibacker underlayment...I did have another mishap last night... remember how I said the room was small, well small rooms can present quite a problem for large people like me, and when I was pulling up the underlayment I slipped and put by backside through the wall! So now I have a hole to patch as well... LOL!I was able to get the Roadside America trip gallery posted to the website... for those interested:http://www.distorteduniverse.com/trains/roadside_america/gallery.asp
I added some more shots of the Durango trip.

Good Morning from sunny Southern Ohio
Looks like a pretty day forming.

Brent-I agree with Jim F about the cleaning up after toilet work. Cuts and the like will get nasty infections. I would wear nitryl gloves if you can find them. They are like latex but less prone to tear.
Got all the forms done, square level backfilled and braced yesterday. Going to set grade pins today. Hiring out the finishing. Set to pour next week, then start the framing.
One of the supervisors at work retiring so the remaining 5 supervisors will need to pick up extra shifts till a replacement can be qualified. I really don't want the extra hours, but the $$$ will pay for projects, trains, and the like. Oh well, sleep is over rated.
Any of you guys going to York, if you see an American Flyer 5300T miners set of tipple cars, please get the vendor's name and I'll contact him. Looking for operators and I don't care about boxes.
Start night shift tonight, a few little inside chores then outside work. Check in later.
May God bless
Jim
Good morning all,
It is very rainy in SE Indiana with temps in the 70s. We had a rare treat last night as the wife had take-out from Chili's, which was good. I did the outdoor "road" course at the YMCA and set a new personal best for a half hour. I also ran the 10E passenger set for a while and fiddled with my recently acquired MTH tinplate accessories. May have to get a separate power supply just for them. They look neat, but they really drain the juice. It was a good evening. I had a littel extra on the dining car this morning. Chief, I hope you have a safe trip. To all in York, enjoy the time there and I hope you can acquire (or sell) all that you hoped. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a mild 60 degrees. Rain coming. Going up to 78 today.
Today is a busy day. I have some errands to run and then some paperwork to take care of, later. No time for trains.
You guys have a good time at York.
Chief....Have a safe trip.
Today is the big #5 ballgame. The Indians could win the Pennant.
Well, Dining Car is here and it's time for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Chuck

Very interesting day.
WOA JOHN BIG NEWS, HOPE BARRY HAS IT?
THANKS SEE YOU FRIDAY.
Morning to All,
A fresh pot is on. Been busy with work and running to Mom & Dad's. We will be there again this weekend for a 35th high school reunion. As for myself, I really wouldn't have to go to the reunion because I see the people I am really close with a few times per year. However, those friends would never let me live it down if I didn't go. Peer pressure, even at age 54...
Can't wait to get to York today. I am working in the AM then heading over after lunch. Let the crowd thin a little and then arrive around 1:00 and stay till about 6:00. Then I'll be there all day on Friday. Probably will not go on Saturday due to trip to Mom & Dad's and the reunion.
Mom had her staples removed yesterday. Sounds much more like herself now that she is taking less pain meds. PT has her up and moving doing some little exercises, walking twice a day, etc. She is even starting to clear the dishes from the dinner table. She has to do it one at a time due to lifting restrictions, but is really sounding better.
The school is really coming along nicely. Dry wall is almost done in all areas. Some areas are getting final paint color. Windows are being caulked. Still don't have all of the exterior doors yet. That is a real concern as far as vandalism threat etc. Hope to be closed in and locked up by Saturday. Wiring is being pulled. It is really taking shape.
LAZ-88-Fife-John/jefelectric-Marty and other York attendees - don't buy it all before I get there...

Good morning from New England. Cloudy here today with rain on the way. I'll do laps in the parking garage instead of walking through the neighborhoods.
Kurt, I polished my wifes car by hand. I get a better feel for what I'm doing that way.
The FasTrack noise doesn't really bother me enough to actively try to reduce it. The insulation and the caulking were experiments to see if the noise was coming out from the open screw holes.
Jim T. - I did get your email. Great 2020 loco set you have there!
Not much else to report. I went to bed early last night after running some of our Williams trains for a bit.
Time for breakfast.
I hope all you York guys get some great deals and have a good time.

Brutus: I saw that episode yesterday 5:00am...Great Jig, and he handmakes all the parts for pennies. That host just isn't into trains....He really gets excited about R/C.
Chief: Good thing you're retired. Are you still getting in your retirement requirement of 3-rounds of golf per week?
Jumijo: I hope you used a machine to polish the Bride's car... Have you tried spraying automotive undercoat under the fastrack to quiet it?
