Jim, the new COD4 is modern day, not WWII. I always thought that the Call of Duty series should stay WWII but I am pleased with this game.

Wes owns the Buckeye express, so I suppose he has it all fired up for a lap or two.  BTW, that is one neat train set and the sounds are great.

I think we all posted at the same time. Good points, Jim <pounding on the table> I heartily agree. I certainly enjoy the community of this thread. I imagine us meeting at a local diner for some good fellowship.

John, I was wrong about HS football being over here in Illinois. There's still the playoffs continuing but mostly away and downstate. It's just that everyone local has lost.

Colin,

I am going to get Ace Combat 6 and maybe the new Tomb Raider.  I played COD2, and I didn't really care for it.  Silent Hill 5 and Burnout Paradise are coming out after Christmas, and then GTA in March.

Morning from a cold and grey Crystal Lake. Gotta rake some leaves today and then research cars. Let's see, they want to remove and replace both front brake calipers, repack both front bearings, replace pads and rotors, bleed the hydraulics, replace both rear brake cylniders, flush and replace the brake fluid, replace the rear and front struts and mounts, and the front sway bar link pins on both sides- oh and align the front end. LOL. I swear everything was fine until they put on two new tires and moved 'em around last week - haven't even paid for them yet. Oh well.Dead [xx(]

Just saw a good friend of mine off to Iowa this morn. He's moving to Cedar Falls.

Lots of good football today - unfortunately, none to be played by my alma mater, Notre Dame.

Still searching the 'net for the Chief in his BigCat outfit...Wink [;)]

Hey guys, gotta go do scouts thing, but wanted to post and say howdy.  Sir James - back atcha!

TMCC MAN - The xbox360 is on hold until I get the playroom finished in the basement and a new tv set.  SWMBO has spoken. S'okay, I'll get it in a few months and by they they will have a newer and better configuration I'll bet.  In consolation, I'm getting an MTH 4-6-0 steamer set for Christmas I found on sale since outer box was ripped up, but contents were a-okay.  Should be really great and can't wait!

Sir James and Lisa, I'm thinking of that movie Better Off Dead now, where the wife gives her husband a fur jacket for Christmas that includes the head of some animal on the hood?!  He hates it, but the goes outside and the neighbor is mad because he's wearing the same jacket?!

Where's Mitch?

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good morning from New England!

The rain has gone and the skies are clear. It's going to be a chilly one today. Good day to head to the train show. But may stay home and tend to a sick kiddo while the rest of the family goes to the Santa parade. Then it's church followed by a dinner party at our home with a large gathering of good friends. More train show tomorrow. Then Patriot's football game.

We seem to have 2 choices regarding the pot thread and the forum. We can either continue down this divisive road of this one ignoring that one, and tossing veiled vitriol back and forth, or we can work together to right the ship and get back to being the best toy train community on-line. Personally, I'd prefer to take the latter approach. The former isn't working to solve anything. I feel that there is reason for ALL of us to evaluate why we come here each day and what we as individuals can do to make this a friendly, welcoming place for ALL to talk toy trains. If we ALL want this forum to be what it once was, we can do it. And once again, CTT's 3 rail forum will be second to none.

I encourage positive discourse. Please share ideas, concerns and suggestions in a polite way. But if you just want to spew venom, be sarcastic or nasty, please save it. Enough is enough is enough.

The time has come, people. Today is a brand new day. What's it going to be?

I can be reached via CTT private meassage only this weekend. I do not open emails at home. If anyone has issues you'd like to discuss off-line, please contact me with a PM.

Jim

Colin, since Mayor's job is so much, basicly retiring from Pro Mariner.  Will still do a couple.  BPS says they are going to do all their Spring Fishing events in 4 weeks nation wide.  That means Pro Mariner has to get a lot of guys to work at one time.  Have not seen the schedule.  Pictures, you didn't see where some Yankee at US Airways in CT stole my camera.

Lisa, deer jerky!!!!  Wildlife Officer partner of mine use to bring deer jerky to our "set up" while we were patroling for night deer hunters.  Good stuff.  Good to have while fishing too.

Sir James - that's a good idea for Christmas!!  He has enough camo gear he could hide out forever!  He has several hunting "Boxes" that we built and cammo'd and a couple of ground blinds so he is well concealed.

He bagged an 8 pointer last night.  That's the 2nd one in the freezer this year!!  It's about time to make some jerky too.

HI GIZ,

cold here at 33 to get to 44?  BRO and me going for pheasants again today hope to get two more?  Then last outside fire for the year?  Dogs and burgers tonite.

CHIEF,  you are right on about the mower and bagger.  I raked first year bought my house, never again, took out 9 truckloads o leaves.  NowI just suck em up.  Best investment I made.

Ran my BB last nite. Had friend come over with his train, he needed to put on a traction tire, so I put it on. Had a BIG derailment with the BB. One of my birch trees fell in the path of the BB. Which drug it down the tracks and cut off one of the natural trees I have before jumping the tracks and nocking over a lite standard. No one was hurt and NO damage to the BB. FWEEW!
Have a good one,

Good morning everyone,

It was a quick week here. I had Thursday and Friday off, so I have been playing video games for the past two days. I finally got one of the most anticipated games of the year, Call of Duty 4. Brutus, this game is a must have if anyone has or is getting an XBOX360. I was blown away by the graphics, and how you can customize your weapon when you are on Xbox Live. Jim Trumpie did you get it?

Chief, where are the pictures? I need a laugh. When is the next time you are coming to Harrisburg?

Fife I'm suprised that your daughters boyfriends aren't being employed for bagging. Wait, are they in the bags?

Doug I was thinking the same thing that Brent was. What rotors and struts are they putting in? They better be Brembo's and Eichbach's if you're going to pay that money.

Don, I hope that Big Boy gets fixed soon. What is it with your Big Boys. Wasn't the MTH just in the shop?

And welcome Nittany Lion.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning from Buckeyeland where we are awaiting THE GAME to start at high noon.

Had a great time last night meeting friends from Indiana.  The husband is an astronomer who remotely has access to a telescope in Hawaii.

Blueberry, I see you have gained a few pounds.  Glad the dinning car manager is back on the train.  Do you have photos of where she threw the old cook off the train head first into the ditch?

Brent, I sure know what those interviews are like! Hope everything works out for you.  Victoria Secrets, headquartered in Buckeyland is always is looking for computer people.  Great working conditions, too.

Chief, best investment I ever made was the purchase of my John Deere self-propelled mulching mower.  We went from 30-40 sacks of leaves to maybe four after we mulch.  If they dry out, I will work on this after THE GAME.

fifedog, THE GAME should be good.

Hope it gets warm enought to paint my $19 bridge.  Maybe I will get some more switches wired into the SC-2 controllers this weekend.

And finally for your entertainment this morning:

Q: Why is ice no longer available at Michigan football games?

A: Because the senior who knew the recipe finally graduated

Q: What are the three longest years of a Michigan football player's life?

A: His freshman year

Go Bucks!!
