Brent, No .One up on that link, the tech pants. She already has ski pants like what you are looking at but wanted the Under Armour because she was getting too hot walking in the ski pants. If it helps she is a freezbaby.

OHIO!

Had to check with my 5 year old for the answer.  Anyway, back from Texas and hoping to get some train time in this week.  I do have the layout around the Christmas Tree, but I want to get to the big one upstairs.  Wife has  a long list for me.

Did a bit of hunting in Texas, got a Corsican Ram late in the day.  The only down part of the trip was that Delta had lost my rifle on the return trip.  They found it and delivered it this morning.  Anyway, it was great to see a good buddy get promoted to Lt. Colnel.  Has to ship back to Iraq in two months.
Hope everyone has had a great week so far.

God Bless,

Dennis

You know...I typed it in, and didn't think anyone would get it, so I erased it!  Laugh [(-D]

Ran trains for 2-hours again this afternoon, wheels on the milk cars started squeeking...stopped to RIP. Buildings wired, now to find a power strip to install on the underside of the board, out of reach of the 9-mo.

Fife:  Great idea on pre-wiring the board before the top goes on!  If I only did all of the wiring and buss bar installations before I put the buildings on.  Banged Head [banghead]  Well I havs=e 6-pack abs now!

RT - glad you are feeling better!  Hope they get you checked out and you're okay - nothing to fool with.

Dennis - welcome back, sounds like a great trip.  I thought of the train and the Charlie in a box too!

Nick - gray uniforms!  Laugh [(-D]

Hi to all, just too much to comment on today, you guys were busy!

Getting ready in case we get some snow here as well - stopped at HD tonight and picked up 240 pounds of sand for my pickup truck - I like to have plenty of weight over the back tires. My favorite is watching the folks who just got a 4wd vehicle find out that 4 wheels slide on ice too.

Ordered the passenger cars for my ATSF 19th C trainset - can't wait!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I do not no what it is about Columbus drivers but when it rains or snows they loose all thier screuples and floor the gas pedal, even the Buses(city) where sliding all over the place. made to work and back allright.

Updated my resume for the fun of it, just discovered my employer will reemberce me for the purchase of shoes if they running shoes or medical(diebetic shoes) up to $50.00 per year even if you are part time. Went to Kohls and got a $60.00 newbalance shoes for $39.99.

HI GIZ,

Got 3 inches of SNOHIO this afternoon.  Got out of school early at 1215.  Came home did workout, took dog for walk, cleaned out turtle tank and did laundry.  Then ran trains for half hour.  Just got done running trains for 1.5 hours, NO PILE UPs.  Yeah for me.  Great nite.

Hope for 2hr delay tomorrow.

Sounds like the Life of Reilly to me Laz?!  I'm watching Mythbusters make a steam powered machine gun - very cool!  CSXEct - is it me, or does every mo-ron try to cut me off in bad weather?

Just watched dvr'd Working on the Railroad - they were doing water effects, very interesting!  My daughter said we need that!  LOL

Laz,
You only got 3 inches!?!?  Here in Mt Airy we pulled down a fluffy 6 - 8!  Had to break out the John Deere even though I can't lift the blade while on the tractor (makes it very difficult to plow), I think once I get the life mechanism I can plow the drive (300 ft) in under 30 mins.  Then I also got a pull behind spreader today so I can lay down ice melt, got that done too... now if I had only waited to pull Susan's non-tred having tires car in, I may have made it without spinning the wheels the whole way.  New tires should be here Friday... hopefully... but all the snow will be melted by then...

OK... next Christmas special reference...

You put one foot in front of the other, and soon you'll be walking 'cross the floor.  You put one foot in front of the other, and next you'll be walking out the door.

'Winter' receives an item that causes what to happen?  (need the name of the item, and what happens to get full credit).

Jason,
I think I'm going with the Ski Pants.  We went to the Ravens/Patriots game on Monday and she complained the whole time about being cold.  I had to take my gloves off 3 times during the first half so she could warm her hands... while she was warming her hands in my gloves, I was rewarming her gloves... also have to find her some good boots...

Laz - thanks for the Cabelas link!  I figured you meant the retail store and not their games site! Shock [:O] I told Susan that I wanted Big Game Hunter for X-Mas, but I would need a PS3 and that isn't in the books this year. Sad [:(]

Fife - you figure out Bumble yet?  Hit... the title character has a shiny red nose... Of course you remind me more of Yukon Cornelius... Wink [;)]

Laugh [(-D]

No prob Laz!  I got a good chuckle out of it...

I can't believe we got this much snow!  Looks beautiful outside, but was a bear to plow without being able to life the blade from the tractor... hope the guy sends the parts!  If not I'll have to get them from John Deere, and will result in no savings from travelling to Ohio to get it... says he will, we'll see.  Has been a very nice fellow so far.

Brent, They weren't the sexiest attire around but check out a good pair of snowmobile boots, probably a lot more stylish now. When we lived in the Colo Mtns we would be out and about on snowmobiles in 30~40 below and the tootsies always stayed nice n' toasty w/o getting to hot.

Brutus, I got my AT&SF Overtons from Justrains for $99.

Laz - yep, lethal!  Very cool, need to rewatch it as I was distracted!

Sir James, I'm on the way, just got off the phone!

88 - My wife says you are wrong, that the Winter Warlock was frozen and it thawed him out, but I said I'd have to stand up for you.  I'll be camping out on the couch with Chewy on the couch, but I'm sure it was worth it!  Laugh [(-D]

Dougdagrump - Hey, you got a better deal than I did by $5, but according to MTH there are like 10 dealers with this set and after calling I have eliminated 6 of them from the list!  They don't have it.  I just bought the last set from a nice guy at Grand Central and they said would ship today!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Evening all, well tomorrow is the BIG DAY, Our big boy comes back. Been at the Big L, for repair. Apparently had a loose ground wire, that subsequently shorted out a couple of boards.

I'm going to take this opportunity to BRAG. One of my son's friends live with his grandmother, as does a 21 yr old cousin, (of the friend) and parents. Family has had a lot of issues, and financial problems as well. Anyway, the 21 yr old was killed this past weekend in a motorcycle accident. Unknown to us, Chris went to his Credit Union deposited his check, and withdrew spending money, and $100 extra. He took the $100, and gave it to his friend to help with the funeral. The friend had him give it directly to the Grandmother. This all happened yesterday, I found out this evening. I sure am proud of him! On our way to the train club tonight he told me about it, and asked if "I" thought it was OK ?!?! He told me that he slightly knew the 21 yr old, and he was kinda of a Thug, but he really felt sorry for the family and their pain. Just had to share, I am so proud !!   Approve [^]
