Folks,
It was 4 degrees at my house at wakeup, and 62 in my basement trainroom.
I ran that K-Line B&O F7 ABA for a few minutes before I left for work, while drinking some hot coffee.
Great way to start the day!

Good morning from a depressed Chicago where it is -23 and I am a tad cold after walking my usual 20 blocks - don't tell anyone but I cheated by walking through as many building lobbies as I could... Most of the office staff is home 'sick' today. Our local elementary schools are closed but not the high schools - the daughter sure is disappointed but I am glad - it's supposed to be this cold all week...I am not going to speak about The Game. Boy, I miss one day to festivate with the Bears and I have five pages to read this morn... I think that is great!

Oh, we still haven't heard from Lee- Phillyreading in Fla.
Well, waiting for that dining car now !!
Good morning all,
It is COLD in SE Indiana with temps around the single digits (both plus and minus) all day today. Some more snow is forecast for tomorrow. Where is the global warming? John, I will try to get some pictures posted of the bricks. Pretty quiet at work today as most people are celebrating the Colts win. I watched most of it last night. The commercials were slightly better than last year, especially the CareerBuilder ones. I am so glad they got rid of the monkeys. We went to church yesterday and it was not very crowded due to the cold. I also went to the YMCA for some treadmill action, and I ran the 8E for a while. I worked on taxes and figured those out as well. The game was kind of sloppy. At least I won't have to hear how Payton can't win the big ones any more. When Chicago got that first touchdown, I thought it was going to be a long night. It was still a long evening. I was kind of disappointed in the Godaddy's ad. Danica Patrick was supposed to be in it (and she was), but if you did not know who she was, you would not recognize her. I was hoping for a little more advertising for the Indy Racing League, but oh, well. I would have posted earlier this morning, but I had to catch up on all the posts as I skipped yesterday. I better send the dining car to "Points East" or else the folks in Ohiozo will starve to death. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a very cold - 2 right now. Going up to a 12 degrees today. WOW. Going to be cold here for the next week or so.
Today, we are going to Marietta, on business. Have to finish up some things, that have been waiting for us. Nothing serious. I don't think I'll get any time for trains today. Maybe run some for a short while later.
I watched the Colts beat the Bears yesterday. ( sorry LAZ ). I was also disappointed in the commercials. Always looked forward to some great ones. Lotta money for air-time. Baseball pre-season starts soon. Catchers and pitchers to report to training camp in a few weeks. Some of the games will be televised. Wife is counting the days. Big baseball fan.
Dining Car has arrived. Breakfast is served. Be back later.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Mornin' boys. -1 with windchill in the Mid-Atlantic. Kinda mornin' when I want to round up all the Chicken Little global warming greenhouse effect preaching libs, march them out in their skivvies, then place them in stocks in the courthouse square.
laz57 - Though you feel sorrow now, try to think of the happy times you had watching your BEARS this season. The sun did come up, and the INDIANS should be in traing camp within a month.
I am forgoing a trip to the beach today. With temperatures less than 10 degrees, and the wind howling through the trees it is a might chilly in Buckeyeland.
Busy week ahead, but interesting too.
Everyone stay warm and

Good morning everyone,
I enjoyed watching the (sorry Laz) Colts win last nite. I was over a friends house, so I enjoyed it with fellow Colts fans.
Well, I am about to run out the door for school. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning, from New England. It's cold here today and will be for the entire week. Spring training is just around the corner though, and soon, reports from sunny Florida will be shown on the evening news. I'll bet you guys didn't know that I played a season and change for the Dodgers 20 years ago. I still miss playing.
Aside from cleaning the house, I was a lazy son of a gun this weekend. I did manage to get 3 of my post war whistle tenders working. Huge satisfaction there!
Didn't end up coming in to work, but will pay for it today. Stacks of work under my door first thing this morning. I'm not going to see mych of you guys today.
Evenin' All.
Since most of you are freezing your butts off I'll be nice and not say how sunny and warm it was today.
Still trying to finish up the corner changes on the ceiling track. When I put down the foam roadbed on the curves I pulled the outside edge to tite so even with the kerf cuts it was still puckering on the inside edge. Pulled up the corner foam and re-layed in short sections with the appropriate angle cuts on the ends, should have done this in the first place guess I had a senior moment. Unfortunately about a third of the way around the track with the hot melt glue and my gun bites the dust. The part that is done is well secured and WILL NOT move. Most of the new wiring is down with the exception of the power/TMCC shelf that is in the closet, put drawer glides on it tonite so it will be easier to access to power-up.
Laz, Speaking as a Charger fan, "I feel your pain".
I saw a little bit of the game, the hyped commercials sure didn't live up to years past. As far as the half time entertainment, didn't watch. Never been a fan his.

Laz57,
I really like my K-Line F7 ABA set. I bought it January 2006.
The F7s have K-Line cruise control, directional headlights, marker lights that change colors based on direction, and smoke in all three units. Both A's are powered with two motors in each, tethers run through the diaphrams and are thus invisible and easier to get to. The neatest feature is they include a separate fixed pilot and scale coupler for the front end...very cool looking.
I dont think the earlier f3s have cruise control or as much detail as the F7s. I payed about $475 for the ABA set. I think they are the most detailed F's made in O gauge.

BUCKEYE, I hope the wind here is about 30-40 miles an hour. Took the dog for a walk at half time and she didn't want to go far only a quarter mile.
Sorry to hear that Laz - Doug M will be sad as well, I s'pect.
