Good news RT and Chuck - God bless everyone!
Brent - congrats and condolences, what a day.... God bless you both!
Doug M - sounds like you guys are having a blast, don't work too hard! Your wife is a very good writer, reminds me of Erma Bombeck and Elaine Viets! I try to check out her blog every day or 2.... Loved the mosquitos and the potty chair story!
Sunday is Veterans Day - remember our heroes and heroines! The original idea was to take 2 minutes of silent thought or prayer at the 11th Hour on the 11th Day of the 11th Month.

Took the wife to Dr. today for her followup on her caterization and I guess he is satisfied her circulation is ok. he gave her a stack of papers an the proper diets. I still believe moderation is the key. Good tasteing food is one of lifes pleasures. and thin people have heart attacks too.
Took care of my friends B&M today so that is done and he is preping my F3 frame for paint. The only problem is I can't find a lightning stripe decal to match the old lionel. Micro scale has one but the rear of the stripe goes straight to the back end.
We had another cold overcast day and expecting the same for tomorrow.41 as I write.,,,,,,,,,''''''''''''''Sir James

HI GIZ,
Had shop teachers conference today and another tomorrow, we compaired tools? Not too bad, heard a few fellow teachers talk about robotics and such pretty interesting stuff.
Ate Chineese for lunch great.
DON B. I do have the 4012 from STEAMTOWN, runs great!. I have it running against my Lionmaster Big Boy, pics on Sunday. Real big difference. But ran it everyday since friday and NO PROBLEMS.
All B safe.

Congratulations, Philaknight! Beautiful name and sure glad all are fine!
Laz, remember to measure twice when comparing tools! Chinese food is great & love that fried rice
Sir James! Wife ate the last of the icecream, so I hope you've got some Banilla!? Chewy and I will be over in a few minutes - Sure glad to hear your wife is okay! TTFN!
Welcome Vienna Rose!
Good news about Sir James' bride.
Jim A, I wanted to look for Kenny to give him so advice for the White-colored Sox.
I saw a shop today on the way to take the family to dinner - The sign said Helicopter Rides and Model Train Exhibit. Have to check them out! Anj, that would've been nice.

Good morning from New England, where it is chilly but nice.
The wife was home last night, and we all had a nice evening. She bought some 2" thick steaks and we grilled them outside. The boys and I ran trains last night for about an hour. The more I watch our scale F3 run, the more I like it. It looks so much like a real train. Great detail. Maybe it's time to get rid of the post war junk and go scale all the way. Our new K-Lionel cars look great. Each has metal grab irons and ladders and diecast trucks. The couplers even have simulated air lines hanging off of them. A great deal at $19.00.
Looks like a quiet weekend ahead. The Patriots have this week off, so I can't watch them destroy anyone...
Modeling the Baltimore waterfront in HO scale
Congratulations PhilaKnight and family!
Great news! Big healthy baby!
Kurt
Brent: That roll of quarters I sent for the box of goodies should have arrived...did you get it?
PhilaKnight..Congrats the new arrival. Rose is my duaghters middle name also!!
Doug, I know that place. Right next to the recently closed Race Rock. Helicopter tours and trains....!! It has a very nice display on several levels and has running water!! I think it was like $6 or $7 per adult, but very detailed and entertaining.
Sir James on your bride.
Here at work for a short short, even though I'm supposed to be on vacation guess they can't run this place without me

Morning fellas, Ms Lisa, and Jumijo...Thank you for the well wishes and birthday wishes for Susan. This is a very trying time because her brother doesn't deal with grief well and he over reacts to everything... we were trying to get flights for 5 adults and a child and her brother decides he is flying out on an earlier flight and taking her father with him so he doesn't have to make a connecting flight so what is he going to do??? When he gets to Birmingham he is going to get the rental car, go to a couple bars (he has 4 hours till we arrive at 9) and have 'a couple drinks' then HE is going to pick us up at the airport and HE is going to drive the 1.5 hours to the family farm... I told Susan I am NOT getting in the car with him if he has been drinking for 4 hours... no way, no how, not happening. She is stressed because her favorite uncle has passed away, and now her brother is pulling his 'wowisme' crap. I'll rent my own car before I get in a car with a drunk driver.Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest.Kurt - yep received the roll of quarters yesterday. Kids will be a bit bored for a few years since we don't have little ones yet.RT - Glad to hear the Dr visit went well.Lisa - Here's to a speedy recoveryBlueberry - Take care of that waitress... only 3 days but you'll be hungry starting tomorrow!
Fife - .... I forget what I was going to say to you...Chief - Snow in CT? Heck you should have gone to Erie, PA... they had 6 inches (weatherman predicted no precip) over night a couple days ago...Jumijo - Keep doing the snow dance... got dump a big load on our honored guest from the North South... Doug - I have uttered those words together only once before... last year when Susan's mother passed away on her Aunt's birthday.Brutus - The masterbathroom is coming along... last night I finished tiling the toilet room. Only have to finish the main room now and I can grout the floor! Depending on when I get home on Sunday I may skip the Ravens game and finish the floor, that way I can grout on Monday and install the baseboards, then I can install the toilet and vanities on Tuesday and we'll have a functioning bathroom for the first time in 2 months! PK - CONGRATS ON THE NEW ARRIVAL!!!!! We expect pictures... NOW!
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s. I did laps at the YMCA, and my legs just felt heavy. I was a little disappointed with my speed for the 30 minutes. On the positive side, I did find the zip ties I need for the train layout I am working on so the night was a wash. TCA meet in Indy this Saturday and possibly one in Cincy on Sunday. May go to one of the local school performances this weekend as well. Congrats to Philaknight on Vienna Rose! Glad to hear the wife is doing well. Chuck, glad to hear the wife's surgery went well. Doug M, glad to hear you and the family are enjoying the trip. Brent, sorry to hear about all your hassles, especially at a time like this. There was a little extra on the dining car this morning from "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day. Mine is already shaping up to be a busy one.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Philaknight, CONGRATS!!! Sir James, good luck to the wife. Meds will keep the cholesterol down.
Yankees tried to posion me last night. Suddenly started itching and turning into whelps all over. Rebs are always prepared as had Benadryl with me. Poped one. Still getting worse. Then felt like throat had some congestion. Poped another one. Feet were swelling. If that had gotten worse, would have called EMS. Went to sleep propped up in bed. Around 12:30 AM, woke up and was better. Slid down under covers and slept till 7:10. Better this Am but right foot still swolen. Think I will be better after a cup of hotel room coffee [well, not as good as my fresh ground at home]. Wife immediately siad it was the fish and carb cakes [she does not like seafood]. Had this several years ago. Kept having allergic reactions along with right shoulder hurting [now left]. Suddenly woke up one morning and could not use hands due to pain and swelling. 24 hours later, couldnot walk, chew or use arms and hands. Ran tests for months. Allergic reaction to an unknow source. HUMM Had it 11 years before that. Got me kind of worried as looks like same pattern setting up. Reason I had Benadryl along, I had a mild version of this just before I went to Baton Rouge the other week.
Well, lets see if the Yanks throw snohio at me today.
John B [where is the old cuss?] and Nic, see you all are spending a million dollars on a temporary stadium for the Olympics. Temporary!!!!!
Later, got toget ready and go eat breakfast [wish they had GRITS, cures everything].

Chief: You should know better than to eat seafood away from the east coast. Glad you're OK!
Brent: Wife wants to redo the bathroom. ...last room in the house to be redone. She saw a flyer at the mall... some company will come in and redo the lot in a day...I took one look at the photos on the flyer, and said "they didn't do that in 1-day!"
We have a cast iron tub that needs refinishing or replacing...not sure how to go, and she wants a pedistal sink! I don't think a new cast iron tub will work. Bath is only 5-feet wide, and I think it was installed as the house was being built. We'll see.
Congrats, PhilaKnight. I like her name! It's certainly better than Vienna Sausage!
Chief - I told you to get to a doctor. I hope you're feeling better today.
Sunday Photo ideas - a reposession and a pink train.
I was talking about the popularity of the Harry Potter train set with my wife yesterday. She asked how much it was. When I told her, all she said was, "I've always liked that train". Sounds like permission to me.
From what the news tells me, almost all of us are eating fish imported from a 3rd world country. 90% of the fish we buy (from retaurants or our grocery store) are imported. 1% of that fish is tested by the FDA, and 50% of all fish tested fails a test. Most of it has antibiotics left over from the overpopulated fish farms. Not very cool. When the FDA tester wont eat fish anymore, thats enough reason for me to stop unless its locally caught for fish night!

PhilaKnight, Congratulations! Certainly a bright spot to get past the dark clouds you've had to face lately. God Bless!
Jim, not ignoring you, have not gotten the other copies of the videos yet, when I do, I will send them. Also, will get the "Allstar" issue out to you. Will need the address to send.
Rich, had some firefighters on set yesterday at the movie filming. They are part of the "Firefighters for Christ" group. A great group of guys. Some from FDNY, some from NJ, and also from LAFD. Was on location when Kirk Cameron found me and introduced me to them. I didn't know them first hand, but we knew a lot of the same folks. They had come over to Hackensack when we had our deal. What was really neat was being able to talk about past experiences with Kirk and help him appreciate the role. We want to do the profession a justice with this movie.
Anyway, I do hope to check in for SPF and check on everyone once time permits.
God Bless,
dennis
PS: forgot to mention, got the Hogwarts Express last night. Not a HP fan, but wanted european style set. Anyway, interesting in that it has a flyer for ordering OGRR magazine. I have never seen OGR in a flyer like this, but I mentioned it to CTT awhile ago. Anyway, with these new sets that are sure to be popular, it is a good sales opportunity.

Thanks, and no problem on both counts, Dennis. Very generous of you. I know you are busier than usual lately. I'll just take my own advice - relax and be patient.
Best of luck with the movie.
Mornin' boys. Overcast and 39 here in the Mid-Atlantic region (BTW - where the seafood is local {with some Louisianna crabs now and then}). 5 lawn/leaf bags at curbside.
Philaknight - Nice job, Daddy.
rt - Sell what you must/keep what you love. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Sir James/Blueberry - Take care of them waitresses. Hey, can I at least get my POP-TART toasted...?
88 - I'm with ya...funerals can bring out the worst in families. Never ceases to amaze me the calls we get from the local funeral parlors. Safe trip;hurry back.
Laz - so how DID they compare...?
Morning all
RT- Sounds like good news
Chuck-Maybe Don can forward some cooking tips and reciepes
PhilaKnight – Super Congrats on the birth of Vienna Rose!!!!!
Off today, going to finish homework for class Saturday. Last class of the quarter!!!! It will be good to have a break from study. Give me time to work on the garage addition. The block is too green to start framing garage, so after study I'll clean up garden.
Our annual charity train show is going to be the weekend of Thanksgiving and I have to work. At this point no one is available to cover for me. Hate to miss it. Biggest thing is setting up our portable layout. Bummer!
Got to go, may God bless
Jim
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is cold outside. 42 degrees. Going up to only 52 today. No rain yet.
Today is a busy day. Wife didn't sleep good last night. Had a lot of pain. She took a second pain pill and went to sleep, finally. Still sleeping now. I will be taking a nap later. No train time today.
Chief...Sounds like a Yankee chef...
Dining Car has been here and left. Self service.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck
Sorry I thought you were in Snohio... Another sneak attack! Yaaarrrr! Thee'll be commin' from dar East Buckeye!
So is everyone buying the HP set because of HP, or because its a British train? Sounds like the latter so far, maybe Lionel should notice!
Brent: Whew! Glad I didn't go to that school!
CONGRATS on the new arrival!!! Beautiful name, I'm especially partial to Rose (my daughters middle name as well) I'm glad to hear that both mother and daughter are doing well.
Good Morning -
Whoa - Lots Goin On !!!!
Of Course the best news is from PhilaKnight, That is just so great!!!! Glad everyone is doing well. You need to pick up the Its a Girl! Car.
Laz/Frank - I was curious as to why you picked the one you did. I got the 4012 also, I liked the radiator out front. According to UPS mine arrives today!!!
Doug - Don't forget to have a great time while you are there.
Brent - Good luck for the weekend! Goin be tough, Just keep her first in your priorities. Prayers for you and your family.
Chief - Hope you feel better real quick. Try some instant grits, or maybe just chew on some styrofoam, its all the same.
RT - Glad to hear your report, just be careful !
Chuck - Macaroni and Cheese - That's the answer.
Had an exciting meeting at our Club last night. We too have been in great jeopardy of loosing our site. But, had some great news. We occupy an old single story building at the former Army base, Ft. McArthur. The poperty was deeded to LA City in the 80's. An Art Colony wants to renovate the whole place. However, that plan is falling apart because it is in violate of the deed. The museum curator on site had a lot of momentum to having a select number of buildings declared Historical Landmaks. Which our occupancy is consistent with the future use of the building. Lots more detail, won't bore you with. HOWEVER, we do need to develop a KIDS Club. Which will be great. But takes a lot of involvement from the entire club. Yours truly is chairman for the effort, so some interpredation, but would like to see it happen. Just can't do it alone.
Got to get to work, just incase UPS comes early today!!!
Have a great day all.
