Brent,
One motor is supposed to have a mark on it designating it as the lead motor. Put that in the REAR of the dummy A unit. Not the front. It might also just need to be rotated 180 degrees.
Hey, your tender shell came out nice this time!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 28 degrees. Sun is trying to come up. Going up to 60 today, with sunshine.
Today, I am taking it easy. I have one errand to run and then I will relax. It has been a busy week. I will run trains this afternoon. Need to do some serious dusting in train room. All else is normal.
Dining Car is here and it has some extras on it. Breakfast.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck

Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the low 60s. Tmcc man, good to hear from you. You know what they say about nurses on the "Bob and Tom" show, "They're hot and ready to party". Chuck, hope your waitress/wife's surgery goes well. Philaknight, I have some ideas as to get the labor started, but I can't say them on this family oriented forum. All I can say is that when you have certain problems, sometimes the best solution is to repeat the steps that lead to the problem :-) (Wink, wink, nod, nod)
I have great news (except for Buckeye). Lucas has been accepted to attend IU!!! He got his letter yesterday. He was so excited and relieved. (For those who do not know, IU's colors are red and white).
He also found out he got an A in Earth Science instead of a B+, which means he made the honor roll as well. So, yesterday was a very good day.
I spent about an hour last night running both the 8E and the 10E, and both ran well. I also went to the YMCA for a 30 minute jog/run. I was 10 seconds shy of another 5 MPH average, which is not bad for twice in one week, and my weight is finally starting to go down.
The dining car was a little heavy with the toast this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Sunny & 49 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Had to quickly read thru the last several pages, so here are some quickie synopsisisis...
kpolak - Bend over (insert sound of rubber glove snapping onto fingers) or MiL...tough choice...
tmcc - Wow, a laptop from two nurses...you're a legend.
cheapclassics - Nice job, DAD.
Blueberry - Best regards to the Waitress. Tip her well.
88 - was that 90 degrees to the right, or 90 degrees to the left...?

Completely normal & if working on cars, throw in another couple of hours!

Morning from a sunny and cold Chicago where our scoot in this morning was massively late due to 'freight train interference' according to the robo-loudspeaker in the passenger car. Actually, one of the rare overnight freights on this line died blocking the cross-over, and we actually had to run inbound on the right, not on the left like the normal Chicago and North Western. How scary. CNW - there ARE similar threads in the other Trains.com forums... This one's the best though... Now to catch up to work.
Jim, how was yesterday's pizza?Brutus, that HWX looks wonderful. Congratulations to Lucas!
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
88 - get the matching boots! Don't feel too bad, I was supposed to have the basement done last year!
Mike C - The Bob and Tom show ROCKS! I'm seriously thinking of getting a subscription so I could download and listen to the entire show each day. I've been a listener for about 11 years I guess. Congrats to Lucas! Just one thing, at work "IU" means "Individual Unemployability"!
Colin - I was looking at the various configurations of the XBox360. I like the Arcade version since it is cheaper, but as I understand it the backwards compatibility to play old XBox games is actually a software emulation and requires a harddrive? I don't intend to download movies or tv shows or anything like that, so I think the 20G HD will be enough - what do you think?
Doug M - The HWE is VERY cool, you need one for your British Rail project! Now my daughter wants to get out all our Harry Potter Lego sets and make that the scenery?! We'll see....
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
The pizza was very good, Doug. But I'm sure you have had some outstanding pizza in your day. Chicago is pizza Mecca as far as I'm concerned!
Hey, here's a link to a sign that made me LOL!

Brutus-JT's mega steam works very well but be warned, IF you have an allergy to candle scents then stay away from Mega-steam. It makes my nose run and my eyes water just like candles.I can't go near one of those candle shops.
We had frost and 32 this morning, low 50s with sun for the day.

Brutus,
I have the Xbox 360 Pro, but I wish I had the Elite. The Pro has the 20 GB HDD, while the Elite has the 120GB HDD. The 20 GB fills up quickly. I also think the black Elite looks better than the plain white 360s. Email me...
Hi all, 20:30hrs here in Peterborough.
Jim F, That Hogwarts set looks great. Got one on the way over the pond for my sons Xmas present.
We just got mains power on to the Garage and Gamesroom. Fixed up the outside lights this afternoon. Power sockets are now live in the Garage. Internal lights and gamesroom sockets to be done after plasterer has been next week. Big thank you to my neighbour who is a electrician for doing the final connections. He checked out the FIL and my wiring and it seams we have everything right (so far ).
Its Miller time, help yourselfs to a cold one.

PhilaKnight. sorry about your bud. Like Dennis said, Firefighters & Police officers work closely together and creat family bonds. It's tough losing one of your own. My sympathies to you and your family in blue. Good luck on your wife and the newest one in your immediate family!
Colin, welcome back
Chuck: Good wishes on the waitresses speedy recovery!
Jim: That sign s**ked
Seems like my days off are tottaly filled with nonsense. Can't get anything done.

Polar Express outdoors was COLD and Windy. Enjoyed it though.
Cool new locomotive, Chief - thanks for the pics!
Sir James I - wish I was running trains. Had to go buy clothes for kids. Did get to Borders, but they didn't have any books I wanted for the price, even with a 30 percent off coupon I downloaded first. Ditto Best Buy - some neat stuff, but too much $$$. Wife got Meet the Robinsons, but I think it looks pretty bad. Guess we'll see! Working OT tomorrow, then tomorrow night have to go to my sister's house for a family thing.
Evenin' All,
Finally after a really hectic week and a half got some time to kick back tonite.
Got all the remnants of the firestorm ash, tree and leaf debris cleaned up and hauled off by the city. That's the good news, the bad is that we are supposed to have another Santa Ana this weekend. There is a bit of disagreement though as to how strong it will be.
Was running an MTH FM at the museum today and it just didn't put out smoke worth a hoot, opened it up and there was so much wicking in it the fan couldn't produce much of an air flow. Cut a chunk out and like to smoke you out now.
Got a question, any of you guys used carpet tiles on your smaller layouts ?
Eyes be gettin' a bit heavy, still pooped from some very long hours setting up then dismanteling the halloween layout. Coffee ain't helpin'.

Morning all, From a damp cool Stockport.
Last nights midnight Film was Under Seige 2 with George Segal winning the day, A train hijack with George bumping off all the baddies with the help of a porter and load of SFX's. Finished up with a most spectacular train wreck an 80 car fuel oil train and the passenger train meet head-on in the middle of a high trestle and it was like Guy Fawkes night. BBOOOOMMM!!!! (could see it was a model though).
Nick, Good to hear your train room is going well. If it's in order? I would love to come down to Peterburough to see your set up some time.
I now have Hogwarts on my TrainSim. I have several of Churchwards loco's already, so should be OK with this one.
John Baker
Jim,
I have 250Gig of HD on my PC, I have about 30Gig of general rubbish and about 80Gig of TrainSim including Trainz and RailDriver. My processor is 2.4 Gig, this now has to be taken up to 3.2Gig to run the new Trainz stuff and it's beginning to look like 1Gig RAM and 512Meg graphics are a bit tight. Take my word for it, you cannot have enough if you are running big railroads. I shall be upgrading ERNI in the New Year.
