Yes, Jim. She has to have a pin put in the side of her left foot, just like the right one. Out patient. She'll have to wear the big shoe and stay off of it for a week. I'll be doing the cooking.. Thanks for asking.

Chuck, be sure to chew your milk - LOL Seriously - hope all goes as well this time as last. Operations on the feet can be very painful, I've heard, but I guess you guys know what to expect. God bless and keep us posted.
Colin - glad you are back in action, sounds like a very cool laptop! With HP computers (at least in the past) they have recovery software that is stored on the HD. I believe there is a way to burn it onto CD's for a backup. Take a clue from a friend of mine at work who got a virus- the virus got the whole HD including the "restore" software and files. Be sure to make a good backup of the restore stuff asap - just in case! Good luck on the knee!
I'm thinking of getting an Xbox 360 for Christmas so I can play The Orange Box. My desktop would play HL2 and HL2:Ep1, but only with most of the visuals turned off. Rather than update my old PC, I think it would be cheaper and smarter to get a new gen console! My kids want a Wii, so maybe get both (1 for Dad, 1 for kids!). I might have some questions for you in the future.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Jim,
You are welcome to ask any questions that you want about the 360. I love my 360.
Brutus,I recently had some computer issues that McAfee and Norton couldn't isolate or resolve. Found this company's products (Spyware Detector and Max Registry Cleaner) to be well worth the money spent! No problems since running them and the computer/inet connection have never been faster!www.spywaredetector.com
Good afternoon,
Colin, Nice to see you back posting on the pot. All the best on the knee problem.
Chuck, So what's for dinner tonight? Got to keep the wife's strength up!
PhilaKnight, Our prayers are with your friend. Wife and I like to visit Philadelphia a couple of times a year, but we usually stay on Penn Square and visit the downtown and historic areas. Used to like the Italian market but that has changed so much we haven't been there in a few years. Could be a great city if they could get things under control.
Take care,
jef John- I'm guessing philly is somewhat like Detroit, More like the wild west than civilized.I think the only job scarier than a cop would be a school bus driver.all those little monsters now thats scary.
Brent- that bridge in Toledo opened this year and cost five or six lives before it was finished.
We have sunshine today, but chilly 50s,looks like thats the best we are going to get. Got my show stuff ready so I will get on to other things. Stay away from those cheeseburgers. Sir James

Afternoon all!
PhilaKnight: Sorry to hear the bad news. You have our prayers.
Colin: Hope you got numbers to go with those names! Welcome back!
Finished cleaning the leaves from the the roofs/gutters and front yard...
Having a gas backpack blower..$$$...beating the 65-yo neighbor lady in a blower/leaf war priceless! Hey she started it!
MiL comming to town tomorrow...high noon. Dun..Dun..........Dun..Dun.....Dun..Dun..Dun..Dun
Staying until Monday.
Kurt
I've been working on Brent's tender tonight. First I got the paint right but the rivets didn't look too good. Then the rivets were good but the paint was off. I think I've finally got the tender as good as I can get it. It's downstairs drying and will make an awesome addition to my collection.
I also played a rousing game of Go Fish with the kids. Mikey won handily...
Off to unload the dishwasher and clean up the kitchen. Then perhaps a NYC RS-2 (or is it a 3) pulling a coal drag.
Modeling the Baltimore waterfront in HO scale
PhilaKnight you have our thoughts and prayers....our neighboring city just lost a SWAT team member 2 weeks ago. Our SWAT team was with them when it happened and it's very devastating to all, no matter the circumstances. Stay safe out there and I hope they catch that soon. And congrats on the soon to be new arrival!
Colin-glad to hear the knee is feeling better. I hope the surgery turns out good for you. I'm glad I had mine taken care of.
Hope everyone else is well. We are all starting to get colds....brought home by the germ catchers....thanks kids!
Now I'm curious as to if there's at least one of these threads on every MRR fourm now that I've found this one.
I would like to thank everyone for there support. Was at work when I heard about my friend. If anyone is interested www.Domelights.com is a site that has a section all about Philly cops, it has alot of stuff about the choas happining here. So i'm going to leave it at that, this is one of my Happy Places.
So I came home from work today and tried to fix the door bell and the 15minute job turned into 2 hours and replacing the door frame. I should stick to being a cop.
Still no little one but my wifes says she is moving lot and her back is hurting her something terrible. I got yelled at by her when I told her she should do jumping jacks, that it might speed it up.

I'm glad the wife likes spaghetti and meatballs. A LOT of spaghetti and meatballs.

Dennis,
The landlady of the Armoury has been asking me where the photographs of your friends pub are?
Sorry John, I have them, just need to locate and send. I will ask wife as she has cataloged the photos.
Chief, hope Pam enjoyes her ride. I have heard nothing but good about 4-runners.
Hope everyone is having a good Friday eve.

PhilaKnight,
Sorry about the news. I have a few friends from the fire dept. on the job there...tough place. Reading this forum is the first place I have heard of the shootings. I have been out of touch with a lot lately between work, kids, shooting the movie, and being ill. From a former FF's point of view, you build relationships with your brothers that is tighter than even blood brothers. When you lose a guy on the job, it seems like the world has changed for the worse and everything will be different from now on....you have my sympathies and prayers.
On a brighter note, Hope all goes well with the special delivery on it's way. Not scientific, but every woman I know of has the baby shortly after the ankles swell. Many folks talk about marriage changing a person.....not us, we were the same until kids came along.
dennis
Well folks, got the Hogwarts Express delivered while we were out for an hour at parent-teacher meetings at the school! Very nice, very loud, runs great - see Hopper's thread since he already reviewed it better than I could.
More pics on the other thread. Ran for 3/4 hour until wife told us it was time for Survivor - no Pile Ups!
Kurt - How did they know that girl who died at the beginning of Jaws had dandruff? They found her Head and Shoulders on the beach!
Philaknight Feel for you man Grew up outside philly know it can be rough. Have my point a view about crime also but this sin't the place to relay it. You and the rest of your fellow brothers are in our prayers as always I include our arm forces and peace officers every time as with out them it would be complete nuts
Life's hard, even harder if your stupid John Wayne

Sir James - thanks for the Banilla! Actually, the kids don't like the smell of Lionel smoke and I didn't get around to buying any scented, so we had that turned off. I'll try and get to the LHS tomorrow or this weekend and get some scented smoke and try it out. Also still need to test my new smokey halloween freight car - same reason!
Are there any particular brands of scented smoke that are NOT safe for Lionel trains?
I'll take pics of it smoking too.
Morning! Yep, I'm up ...youngest doesn't feel like sleeping...Fresh pot 'o coffee! Chuck, Pilsbury Cinnamon roles in the oven, sending them your way...Careful they're hot.
Brutus: I'll have to jaw that one over...but it's funny!
Doctor says I need to come in for a physical today. Bride believes that I will be out all day doing 'tests', to avoid MiL. Hhhmmmmm.
Kpolak,
Why don't you join up with your neighbour in the leaf war? It's the same problem for you both. I bet your attitude would be different if she were 40yrs younger. Another fine example of ageism at work.
You guys buying game boxes etc. surprise me. Why don't you do what I've done? Get a few Gig's of Train Simulator. I have Microsoft Train Simulator, Trainz and RailDriver. As I am short of space I find it a fitting substitute for a layout.
Looking foreward to the photo's of the American Pub The Landlady of the Armoury might even treat me to a pint of wallop!
A dull mild day in Stockport 16degC normal 11degC. No I don't buy the global warming crap, nor do a lot of others when I count the increasing numbers of gas guzzling (@$9.00 a gallon) tractors (SUV's) on our narrow crowded roads.
Hope every one has a good weekend. May all the sick get well and all the fit stay that way.
LOL.

I may have misled, easy to do reading my last post.
The neighbor lady is a good friend of ours. I maintain, her tractor, and she lets me borrow it, and I snow blow her driveway in the winter. This is only because she really won't let me cut her grass too...I have volunteered many times.
I usually take care of cleaning her drive, and her side of the lot. She tries to beat me to the cleaning. We were both doing the same area between our houses at the same time. She started blowing leaves at me, and laughing histerically! So I returned the favor! We both had a great laugh together, and finished pushing all the leaves to the street! We both have 10+ mature oaks and hickories on 1/3 acre of land so we do leaves every week for 4-5 weeks. So this was all in fun..
I grew up with a viscious neighbor, I know how miserable this can be. I make a point to go the extra mile, and take care of those around us.
Good morning from New England. Cool and windy here today. Rain tomorrow from some hurricane.
Ran trains last night after finishing up Brent's tender. That Cheapie NYC diesel sure runs nice.
Brownies this afternoon and my brother is coming for a visit later. Should be fun.
Jim
Top of the morning to Y'all!
A little time before patient comes to the room. We have a production meeting this afternoon and get back to filming next week. The train part will be the week after. It is a lot of work, but is also a lot of fun and in the end, we hope to glorify God.
All this talk of the HWE being delivered has started the bug in me. I can hardly wait to get it, perhaps this afternoon. Anyway, hope all is well.
