SoapBox [soapbox]  While on the subject of TMCC, I hope Lionel redesigned the new TMCC Legacy system with state of the are PC boards.  They would be able to vastly reduce the size of the components if they did.  There is no reason they could not put the whole system into an engine the size of the Docksider if they used proper design from the start.  Other manufacturers are putting DCC and sound into N gauge engines. Just my My 2 cents [2c].

Well, all I have to do is paint the load now !  Maybe a zinc oxide I was thinking of. Also have to figure out some tie downs. Maybe the ones John, (jefelectric) suggested the other day & probably start on another one for another car. Here's a picture of it so far & the car is quite a bit heavier now !!

Thanks, John

Good morning from a sunny yet snowy Crystal Lake where I am in training to become the next CTT editor by shoveling the driveway again - busy weekend: my brother, wife and baby have suddently decided to come out and visit today so the bride is all in a tizzy cleaning and I'm skunked out of going to the train show a couple of towns away. Rats. I'm working both services in video tomorrow too. Hopefully I will get to work on the layout a bit. Just discovered my bounding over snow drifts in my small car has pushed out something connected to the catalytic converter - I can't reach it- the engines sounds like an unmuffled motor cycle. Sigh.

Mornin Everyone,

Buckeye, Thank you for that list of things Southerners won't say.  Being a Southerner myself (Proudly from the Lone Star State), I can relate to a large number of those.

Guess what...it's not snowing today.  It is cold....about 20 and should warm up to the upper 30's by early afternoon.  I think tomorrow is going to be the better day.

Like Laz, I watched the History Channel Freight Trains special again and ran my train for a while.  I went to the LHS yesterday and picked up a few extra pieces of track, a remote switch and an uncoupler section of track along with a lighted bumper.  I now have a side track to provide a little more action other than just an oval track.

I some how missed in the news yesterday about the tornados.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all.  I was in a tornado when I was about 5 years old.  My Parents and I were visiting my Uncle down in Central Texas when a tornado came through and rolled the mobile home we were staying in over on it's side.  For many years after that it only took a small rain and a few claps of thunder to send me screaming through the house.

Hope all have a good weekend.

Jerry

Good morning all,

It is SNOWING in SE Indiana with temps in the 20s and 30s today.  We played UNO with Lucas and his girlfriend last night.  I got some of the housework done last night and got up fairly (for me) on a Saturday to take Lucas to work.  He will be taking his driver's test on Friday so the streets may not be safe for a while :-)   Buckeye, I liked your comments.  The dining car arrived from "Points East" with a load of bran muffins this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny, clear sky, 32 degrees day. Going up to 40 today with more sunshine. They say we may get some snow flurries later.

Today, we have some cleaning work to do around the house. Niece and her boyfriend may stop by for a visit.  I would like to run trains later this afternoon.  Have not had time to finish cleaning up train room of tools. Need to put things away and get out all the scenery material.

Well, Dining Car is here early. Time for breakfast. Be back later.

Y'all have a great Saturday.

Good morning everyone,

The whole wek was so busy I had 3 projects due, and ll needed to be oral presentations. I hate standing up in front of the clss becasue I get really nervous.

I hope everyone who was in the middle of that storm got out all right. We had rain, and not much wind. Right now, it as absolutley beautiful out. I might just go for a long bike ride later.

Reggie, good luck with the training.

I wish I could come to lunch with the Chief, but that week we still have school.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Lisa, you may also try "Bell wire" the type they use for phones.  I am in the process of wiring the rest of the layout and this is what I am doing.  It is also what has been used on the Fastrack video.  Do you have the "Building an O Gauge Layout" DVD?  it is very well done and has lots of information.

Also, thanks for the thoughts.

We intend to spend some time wiring the layout later today, depending on the needs at that hospital.

Dennis

PS: you could go with the cable Roger suggests as there is nothing  like success.
