Hey Laz,
How did you make out with your K-Line Berk? Is it fixed?

88 - You forget, I still shoot with K64. Nice posting of that UP ballast train;that was cool.
In answer to the post on Mrs. 88, Mrs. fifedog totally understands what she is doing..."it's a woman thing". "She saw what she liked, and what if it's not there in a month or two...?"
rtraincollecter - Farina---? You want me to throw dog chow at him?
Laz57 - I am sure General Buckeye is formulating a strategy to see that justice is served for the stunning defeat on the shores of the Susquehanna. Actually, we were standing close enough to the Susquehanna I coulda nudged the invaider in...
Buckeye,
Here is the RAF!
Much prettier and won't hurt anyone.
(Hope there's no one at home on this site?).

Good morning all,
It is sunny and warm in SE Indiana with temps in the 70s to 80s today! I love global warming. I have been busy with the granddaughter this weekend as my wife and I kept her overnight for the first time. I did get to go over to my dad's and we watched the IRL race Saturday night. The best the good guys did was 11th. I hope the dining car made it to "Points East" the last couple of days. I will have to read the rest of the postings later. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

The Chief is much smaller than on his avatar, but a soft-spoken gentleman through and through. Glad I could get you guys over to the hallowed ground at Rockville Bridge. Perhaps after the raid, we should rename it Roseyville Bridge... By the way, that CN 2598 (DASH9-44CW) finally took off at 1636 hours.
Hi GIZ again,
Something I just came across and to ponder?
A man and his wife were getting a divorce at a localCourt, but the custody of their children posed a problem. The mother jumped to her feet and declared that since She brought the children into this world, she should Retain custody of them. The man also wanted custody of his children, so theJudge asked for his side of the story. After a long moment of silence, the man rose fromHis chair and replied:"Judge, when I put a dollar into a vending machine,And a Pepsi comes out, does the Pepsi belong to me Or to the machine?"Don't laugh, he won.
Hi GIZ,
40 and not to bad today carbon copy of yesterday to get to 58? Tomorrow 76?
Looks like the CHIEF on page 18 of CCT has gotten snagged?
All have a good one.
Good morning from New England!
Had a great time at the train show on Saturday. I bought some post war stuff, and an HO Gordon (Thomas) set for my kids. Saturday night, my wife and I got to go out on a date. First time in a long time! We went to a benefit fundraiser and had a great time. Took her out to breakfast Sunday morning. It was just like when we were dating!
My post war 736 arrived Friday night. She's a beauty! Got to give her a good cleaning and lube, then she'll run a whole lot better.
Have a great day, all!
Regards, Roy

Saw a combination stroller/car seat/carrier for $300. As we were parking the car when we got back to their house Karen said she heard a train. In a few seconds I also heard a diesel horn. Within a minute, a CSX freight train came roaring by on tracks that are about a 100 yards from the house. Didn't know they lived so close to train tracks. Will make it more fun to visit.

Greg, That reminds me of a time I went to baby sit two of my granddaughters some time ago. The intent was that I would take them to a park down the street. Never did figure out how to unfold the space age stroller so I carried the smaller one. These things have more gadgets than a lot of cars did when our kids were little.
Anyway, enjoy the grandson. Is this the first? My grandmother lived close to RR tracks when I was a kid and it always made the visits more fun.
HI GIZ,
Well I guess spring has sprung? Pulled off the netting from the ponds and cleaned all the flower beds in the front of the house. Dumped all that stuff then pruned all the butterfly bushes and dumped that then went for a nice 6 miler in shorts and t shirt, felt good. It got to about 60 today and I could live with this weather all year.
WHOs ON PAGE 18?
Got to check it out.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone, great day here; church great and then a surprise birthday party with surprise out of town visitors! Can't ask for much more than that. The tubular track, and two cars were my birthday present, and I'm pretty pleased. I'm also ready to pick-up another Polar Express tender to begin customizing (you know who you are ). All in all a very good day.
My wife asked me if I felt any older, and for the first time in my 32 years, I actually said, "yeah I do, and 32 feels tired." Ran the train for a few minutes tonight and I love the tubular even more every time I run the train. I think when I add the 2 inch insulation board, it will take out the deep resonance coming through the track, that's the next step. Then its saving pennies to pick up switches.

Hi all got the walls finally up in my room now to put putty between the cracks so it don't show then paint with kiltz to primer and seal then from there not sure what color I'll go with but thinking a light blue as in sky color then i'll be able to add clouds no problem. Wife said she would paint a mirral if i wish. of what I wanted as train seen or back ground. The floor will be next going to put in 3/4" ply for a safty factor seeing this room has a couple of small holes in it (bought this place cheap as a fixer upper and so far doing fine. ) Starting to look great in fact. had a cople of health issues during fixing which set me back a little but all is going fine now.
Next time fifedog if you need some back up will send my missle cars with you and you can nail him with farina.
Take care all

SPRING IS HERE!!!!

Thanks, John
Well a couple of us survived anyway. I really think it is spring. I spent most of the afternoon in the greenhouse transplanting egg plant, peppers & flower seedlings. Jean put out the porch furniture and we uncovered the pond filter and took out the heater.
Brent, That sound good to me, but lets wait till the weather improves a little. That was a little nasty yesterday.
The Chief called from the Harrisburg Airport a little while ago. He was waiting for his flight home. He may be home by now.
I sure have a hard time typing with this bad wing. Have to keep editing my posts.
ATSJer! Almost forgot.
Good afternoon!
Chief, nice job of infiltration! The grits were a nice touch!
ATSJer - Happy Birthday! The tubular track looks good on your layout - enjoy!
Had the kids home this weekend, always fun. They head back to school this afternoon, so it will be considerably quieter around here. Youngest daughter gets her driver's permit tomorrow. Time moves relentlessly on.
Chief - excellent job subduing the boys of nawthern aggression. Grits rule!
ATSJer -
Spent all day yesterday doing the lawn - today is laying back to recover. NASCAR at Bristol today! Our good frineds that live up that way say someone has to die for an "outsider" to get tickets to one of the Bristol races.
Clouding up here. They say rain is coming (as they have been saying for the past week now).
Hit 80 yesterday. Should be a bit higher to day.
Good to see the boys from the UK check in.
Fried up the bass we caught last weekend for dinner last night - yum!
Have a great day all!

Going to go see 300 after a quick stop at White Castle Was going to work on my basement today, but now this important job came up and I guess I'll have to sacrifice. Already had pancakes for breakfast so I'm at about 10 points for the day and with lunch I'll probably be at 20. Wifey wants to have a STEAK dinner - luckily it's the start of a new week, so I can use some of my extra free points.... Got to loose some weight though. I'm praying for those who overindulged in grits - this too shall pass, quickly!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Dennis,
That's the best option yet. Much better than painting and having it chip off later. Just not sure if I'm brave enough to do this extensive a mod on a new engine, which I suppose would require removing the driver sets from the chassis to accomplish properly. My drawbar mod was made by fabricating a new shorter one out of aluminum so the original can be replaced if desired.

Fifedog, hang in there buddy. The Roseyville Rascal pulled a fast on you! Now you understand the chanllenge more fully. The next time call us and we can provide you invaluble air support from Dayton.

Hi Guys,
Checking in from the computer in the lounge while visiting my FIL at Masonic Village. Have a great day.
Morning all!
Cool and foggy in the great metropolis of Gormley right now. This is usually the type of weather when deer can be spotted roaming the property. I haven't seen any so far nor have I seen any more turkeys...unless you count the ones in the pictures from yesterdays dinner
I agree with Lisa....looks like a lot of Sweet Tea being downed at that table. Or is that a watered down version of Yankee Guinness? No matter....Chief must have been in his glory. Grits, NS and CN all in one day! Love those pics of the viaduct over the mighty susquehana!
Gonna run some trains today. The 773 will get everything I can throw at it to see just how much it can pull.
Chief, glad the raid went well The yanks will never be the same. It sounds like Y'all had a good time. The bridge going over the Susquehanna River is on a History Channel program on Trains and the great feats of engineering that came about. It really is an impressive structure.
Reggie, she is a cutie. Before you know it, she will have the Princess complex as my 2yo daughter has. You will have to pull some extra runs just to keep her in clothes!
Wife wanted to get some trees, so yesterday, we headed to the nursery and with over $400 in trees and another $200 in planting stuff, I had my day arranged for me. I worked until almost 10pm planting. The tractor needs an auger for future such projects. Some of the Georgia clay can make digging by shovel a hard job. I have caloused hands.
Well, today we head to the amusement park. I hope y'all have a great week

Mornin folks!ATSJer! One year older and one train richer?I tasted the grits to see if they were any better than what I remembered... verdict... NO!Chief, that is what you get for not bringing your own laptop and jacking into the hotel network... Oh yeah Motel 6 doesn't have highspeed internet... but at least they'll leave the lights on... guess they don't have light switches!John,What do you say to meeting up some Saturday and putting that new camera through it's motions!?!?BTW - the grammar may be a bit better since the wife is being nebbie right now! So I guess I have to behave...Brent
