Hello All!  Zeke - That is a nice Ford Mustang you have there. No wonder you have trouble deciding which car to drive as both the Chevy & Ford you have are very nice to own. Jim F- Glad that you are out of harms way as far as the Flooding is concerned. Hope all have a nice day. Take Care.

Happy Mothers Day.  Went to Harters for donuts, but they were closed.  Got buscuits (grands) at Schnucks and Bob Evans sausage gravy and "cooked" breakfast for the family.  The Meramec river is high and flooded a soccer field a few miles from here, but Arnold is on high ground and no worries of flooding here, thanks for the kind thoughts Doug.  I think the high point for the Mississippi is supposed to be tomorrow now at about 33 feet (?), but they have different numbers depending on what channel you are watching or station you are listening to, so I'm waiting to see what it really does.  This is above flood stage already, but the levees are working and no major flooding in St. Louis.  There are problems up river from here though.  No rain yesterday or today!  I'm going to post a thread later today or in the next day or two with some track plan ideas.  TTFN

BRENT, yes I saw your name on the 1st timers list.  To get in touch with the seller there is a number after the item listed, go back to the end of the newsletter and look up that number that will give you the name address and phone number of the seller.

Thank you Brent for the Mother's Day wish, and to everyone else for their wishes! Unfortunately, the hubby and I have to work (enforcing the law is a 24/7 job-believe it or not, Mother's Day and some of the other holidays are the busiest. Everyone starts "celebrating" and by the end of the day, they're all fighting. Keeps things exciting for us!Big Smile [:D]) and the kids get to stay with their aunt. I do hope that everyone has a great day and big hugs to all of the other Mother's on the board!

Happy Mother's day from a cool yet sunny Crystal Lake where I extend best wishes to Lisa and other lurking forumites - as well as our brides! Looks like it might rain when I look to the west. As desperately as we need it, I hope it holds off until we get to church.

Thinking of Jim F. - hope he's nowhere near flood waters, and Dennis and Don, may they avoid any wildfires.

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day from Blueberryhill....

It is a cool 45 degrees with sunshine. Going up to 75 today with sun all day.

Today, I am taking it easy. Worked hard yesterday on the car and yard. I might take an hour and mow the back yard, later, but that's it. Never made it down to the train room, yesterday. I will take some time for that today. Need to relax and run trains.  This is the time of the year, that I wish I had an outdoor Garden Railroad to run. That would be fun.

Dining Car has arrived and is ready for boarding. I guess " Points West " is sleeping late today.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Wow !  Been a busy day on the pot.

Zeke - I too applaud you for what you have been through.  And those cars you have!  Fantastic, I can see why you would have a hard time deciding which one to take out.  I have a '87 El Camino, just finished painting it and adding a body kit.  However, I am loosing control of it to my son.  Oh well, I've had a good time with it, bought it new, and it has 220,000 miles.

Been busy today worked outside getting things ready for a big Shindig here tomorrow.  Will undoubtedly be running trains.  I took some pictures of the train room since its clean and will post in SPF tomorrow.

Got to go pick up wife, she's working at the LB Play House tonight.

Have a great Mothers Day,  and BE NICE !!!

Howdy folks, finally got a chance to get online and check things out.  Zeke, very sorry for your losses and ordeals, but I really appreciate your outlook on life and hope things go great for you this year.  PS - love the General Lee action shot (?).  My wife esp wants to see a pic of your convertible.

I took pics of my new train stuff for tomorrow, but they won't show on my website, so I guess I did something wrong.  Worked 4 hours OT this morning, then mowed the lawn and hopefully murdered some varmint cong with some stuff I bought at Home Depot.  I nearly fell prey to a sapper, who ran a tunnel up my hill to a very steep place and then probably laughed it's little head off as I slipped in the mud/hole and rolled down the hill.  I remember thinking "LET GO OF THE MOWER".  Still here and have all my fingers and toes, so I guess I did!  Then went to Qudoba for dinner, which was only so-so.  I prefer a local place for Mexican food, La Pachaga, which is cheap and plenty of good food.  Got my caboose and cows for the layout yesterday, don't think I posted that.  I'm designing a new layout which will be more square, maybe 4.5 by 6.5, versus my current 8 by 3.333 ft layout.  Want to leave room for action accessories, but be able to run 2 trains at the same time.  I think the outer loop will be O27 42 inch diameter curves...

Doug Murphy, are you going to get the superstreets set with the Trolley?  Watched another Harold Loyd movie the other day, Safety Last, and there was a lot of trolley action in the street scenes, plus a funny   bit where he gets on the wrong trolley.  I tivoed it I think it was on AMC?

NO rain today and supposed to be dry tomorrow as well.  Have to get up early and get my wife her favorite donuts from Harters, a neat little bakery (was a small brick house, restored) just up the street from me.

Oh, My 4-4-2 is a lot faster than I expected, even on my tight turns.  So fast, it jumped the track and landed nose first in the carpet.  No damage and still runs great - had me scared for a second there!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
