Join the Club Chief there is a fault line in Ohio that extends out under lake erie it rummbles every now and then. We had a strange couple days here in Columbus, school bus accidents due to weather related conditions on the roads, read this mornings news paper and there was a COTA(central ohio transportation athuroity) bus engine caught fire and exploded, wonder if it was a regular bus or one of thier natural gas buses, when I worked for cota way back when they kept the maintance of the fleet up pretty good.
Morning All -
Got through the Bunco, had 12 women in checking out the train room. Almost had a chorus of "My brother had a train when we were home", then the typical, How much is it worth? Anyway, everything ran well and all seemed impressed? (Didn't take much to impress them!) They were all nice.
So far with the major "rain storm" we have had almost a 1/2 inch. Sun is out and bright, Doug how are you doing? Hoping to work in the train room with the sound of rain on the roof, but still will be a great day.
From the sounds of the other forum, those guys with the new Legacy system doesn't sound to good. This is only the "initial" exposures, but hopefully won't have too many compatibility issues. I will remain optimistic.
I hear our national debt is approaching 19 trillion dollars, wonder if there is any correlation with the new mayor getting his 1st paycheck? I just have this envision of the Boar's Nest, and well you get the idea....
Hope everyone has a great day!
Don
Poison Ivy? Luckily, Batman is on call so we should be safe!
Overcast, cold and dreary here in Lower Arnold. Watching Pirates 3 with the kids. Later, going to Michaels and maybe a train show? Defnitely running trains later!
Lots of new folks on CTT in the past week or two - welcome!!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Morning all. Sunny and warm. Got Seniors' Luncheon at Church at noon. Hope to get kids layout finished today and delivered with a train [that smokes and whistles] and some cars.
Fife, WRC Enforcement? Was aux officer when I managed their fleet of vehicles. Except for the high ranking officers, most of the guys I worked with have retired like me. My "partner" is still there but did not attend the dinner. His wife "rules" and does not like to go.
Not going to Miss Edna's today unless late. Want to get that 4X6 layout done and delivered.
Have a good one.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is 36 degrees and sunny. Going up to 40 today, with a little sunshine. The snow is melting.
Today is an easy day. I have a few things to do this morning and then I will be in the train room, this afternoon. Need some relaxing time.
Dining car was here and breakfast is done. Be back later.
Y'all have a great Saturday.

Oh... That's what that means...? Where can one get a set of those translation-earphones?

Wow, 20 degrees warmer here in the N.C. mountains than yesterday morning when it was 22F. Rain expected to wash away the ice and snow[and calcium cloride].
Big weekend here in the mountains for selling "choose and cut" Christmas trees to visiting flatlanders to tie to the roof of their SUVs. Tractor trailers have been hauling trees to all parts of the country since Thanksgiving. Avery and Ashe counties N.C. are the center for Fraser Fir farms growing marketable Christmas trees. --$134 million sales volume so far in N.C. this year.
Got to get Percy and cars out for adding to Thomas and friends. Our only round-the-tree set up this year. Be interesting to see if it and the decorations survive my 16 month old Grand Daughter. Other GDs are 11 and 13 going on 30.

Tired - worked hard today (brain power) then sat through 2 plus hour "training" that consisted of a doc saying well, that's what you'll get in reports because of "variability" among examiners blah blah blah. Useless.
Doug Murphy, Roy, Fife, Buckey =
We were talking about Pearl Harbor Day at work. Remember in the 70's when they busted into one of the sunken ships and found there had been survivors trapped inside, at least for a while. A day that will continue to live in infamy.
Went out to eat with friends after work (raining again, but not freezing this time - yet) and then all came to our house to play cards for a while. New Monk and Psych episodes taped. Watched Monk - good one, but can't let daughter watch it as she still believes in the S man.
Doug - it was magic reindeer feed corn to be specific!
Oh, my Overton cars came for the 19th C train! Ho Ho Ho! Wife is mad, cause I bought all my Christmas presents for myself this year - well, this way I got what I want!

CSXect: Great job on the weightloss! Congratulations! Keep it up!
FIfe: Like I said to Don in the not so distant past..."Dead Man Walking" When you least expect it, Expect it.
Doug, this is a test! Proceed with extreme caution! Head immediately to the Miracle Mile! Hold the credit card straight in front of you. No flinching...Remember - this is a test! Do not - I repeat - do not look at the credit card bill when you sign it. Emergency rooms cost far more than what it will take to overcome this task. Can you meet the challenge???
A warm one here today. 84. Beat the 1922 record of 83. Supposed to be the same tomorrow. Then a cold front hits Sun afternoon.
Finally the end of a very busy week. Got to finish inside decorations this weekend. Also need to shop for presents. The significant other has pointed out that "special" purse at Northpark Mall. Like Doug I will carefully hold my credit card striaght in front of me.
Got a present from last week's efforts on the outdoor lights. I stood in some bushes in a flower bed in the front yard helping my son wrap the truck of a tree with lights. By Tues afternoon - I had a huge case of poison ivy on my shin. I have no idea where it is exactly, but I will try to find and eradicate it this weekend if possible. This is not a large bed - just a couple of low shrubs at the base of the tree. Weird. My leg looked like something from "House" - massive angry red blotches - looked like it would explode any minute and spreading like crazy. I assumed when I went to the doc I would be fine one minute and then the next I would be in a coma. I did not suspect poison ivy since this is one of our flower beds. the doc figured it out. Weird?!
I hear Lionel Legacy's are shipping to the Big Boy owners and you should have it before Christmas. Make sure you also send in the card for the BB memory chip!
Have a great evening all!
Regards, Roy
I hear that here in Ohio you are allowed 4 deer this season 1 Buck and 3 does,is there an overpopulation everywhere else? been a long time ago that I ate deer meat(I my self don't hunt) We had ground venicen one year made a casorole with it and tater tots was very good.
Funny story about my brother and his hunting trip with a cousin in northern ohio they went to hunt in an area called the willard marshes....... well you would think that in a place called the marshes and you see a puddle that you should know not to step there..... well he sank up to his @$$ in muck.

Well tomarrow Saturday the 8th is a train show at Lausche Building Ohio State fairgrounds in columbus 9am -4pm
then on Sunday the 9th is the TTOS show at the Franklin County fairgrounds in hillard ohio 11am-4pm.
Have a lot of extra energy and no outlet for it.....I could tackel the hopper kit from redball I bought a few years ago.
Don't know if I will be at show on saturday as that is the shopping day to stock up on food(that I can not have) and other household supplies and the church is having a cookie walk different from cake walk...you walk around and see what cookies you want.....sounds more like a bake sale, they also have some stuff that was donated for a silent auction may check that out never know what you may find.

So many roads, so little time.
Well at least you poor Iowans would have someone that knows how to mow his own lawn on a John Deere.
Sounds like the voice of experience, I wonder if that is a pre-programmed statement. Seems to be automatic at this time of the year. My only issues are --- Don't buy me clothes, I will get my own, no candy, just flowers and jewelry.
I think I have heard the same thing before.
Back from Mom's, deer fed, and Town Hall visited. Now off to Wildlife Enforcement Christmas party. Tired. Later
