Good morning all,

It is a foggy morning in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s rising to the 80s.  I did weights at the YMCA last night.  Work has been busy.  Will be busy this weekend.  Daughter will be down tomorrow with two of the grandkids so I have to get chores done tonight.  My wife is going to Bloomington today to help other daughter do some house cleaning after moving back in.  I have Lucas doing a little more than normal in the yardcutting so I can get the house swept as well tonight.  The one granddaghter that likes trains is in the bunch that is arriving Saturday so I plan to have several temporary layouts set up for her.  Sunday I have a double header in racing on TV as both the F-1 and IRL races are on network TV at different times.  Maybe, just maybe, one of the good guys (or gals) will win.  I see where the dining car is here from "Points East".  I hope everybody (especially Zeke and Jenny) have a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Hey, how does one get registered on the chat site? I loaded the Java pluggins, but when I tried to log in everything came to a stop. Now I know I'm not a rocket scientist, but if my buddy John can figure it out, why can't I? Laugh [(-D] I feel I have a lot to contribute to those Friday night chats. I'm funny, charming, witty...I could go on and on.

Jim

Jim.... I have been on the chat site for the last few Fridays and have had no trouble getting on. Do you get to the page that wants your password??

Yes. It asks for username and password (if registered). Where do you register? So I type in my username and password, and then it does nothing.

Certainly you can't be serious about not posting?  You are going to leave us to the wit and humor of one southern mayoral candidate?

Fife - yes I've met the Mrs... Whistling [:-^]  I've always been partial to legs... when I was in San Antone in the Army my parents came down for my 21st and took me to The Old San Fransisco Steak House (where a scantilly clad lady swings on a red velvet swing till she can kick cowbells on the ceiling).... mmm mmm mmm... any way, my Dad says, 'WOW she is really put together!  Nicely proportioned upstairs.'  Mom says, 'Brent wouldn't know anything about that.'  Me, 'Nope I haven't made is past her ankles!'  I gotta get back there someday... LOL!

No progress on the house last night.  Got home, read the mail, opened a package from JF (thanks John - you have mail), wife got home, made dinner, watched the news, hung some pictures in the upstairs hall, hung some junk on the walls in the master bedroom, laid down, fell asleep around 7:30pm, woke up at 5:30am... 10 hours o' sleep!  I'm tired...

No. I must be doing something wrong. I can only get small applet windows to pop up. Nothing more. Screw it. Does anyone really want to read my unfiltered ramblings? I didn't think so.

Just typed a long reply and it went to account when I clicked on post.  This software is really screwing up lately. Disapprove [V]

Morning all.  Jim A, don't you get the message?  They don't want the mouth of New England on there.  Who could get a word in edge wise?  Sigh [sigh]Whistling [:-^]Laugh [(-D]

Cloudy.  Does that mean rain?  Who knows.  So dry the frogs and turtles at the pond are carrying canteens. Shock [:O]  Pond has dropped 2 feet in the past week.  Others around look the same as they are down too.

Got email from Dr. John.  He has added Zeke to his prayer list.  We need to remember Dr. John too.  His Mom is on the "down hill" side.  Lots of strain on him and his Dad.  Then  he has all the Church stuff too.

Speaking of Zekie.  Anyone heard anything today?  Hope no word is good word.  Maybe he will sign on soon.

Got to go file for Mayor.  Then run to Sears [at big mall in edge of Raleigh] and get my $38 [with all the discounts] 19.2V Craftsman portable jig saw.

Later and God bless.

A quick stop.  Hope all is well.

RT, sorry for the news.  Perhaps God has a better job around the corner for you.  Will add you to the prayer list.

Zeke, hope you are progressing well.  I am sure you will have a few more visits after you leave the hospital so they can make sure all is as it should be.  You have a special girl in Jenny.

Chief, good luck with the mayor thing.  Perhaps you are taking on quite a load.....hope you don't have to start being nice to Yankees as part of your job.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend.  Have a few long cases today and time to start.  Take care and God Bless,

Dennis

RT - I must have missed something... what happened?  Sounds like you were let go at work?  That sucks!  Hope something comes your way soon!

Laz - I have a new project on the horizon... maybe I can contract out to you?  I need a custom built entertainment center for the family room.  Needs to accomodate a 55inch HDTV, have storage for CDs and DVDs and house the audio/video equipment.  My plans so far are 110 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 84 inches high.  Have it designed to be in 4 sections... bottom (just the riser) will have space to set the sides in place, two side units containing the CD storage in one and DVD storage in the other, then the top which spans the whole width 'locking' the sides in place.  The sides are actually three sections, think storage shelves three deep.  Outer shelves will be in a deep door, that when swung open you see the next set of shelves, behind this is a pullout (from the side) on pantry extensions.  Maybe I could get you to build the raised panel doors for me? Well I'm in between jobs right now. I'm waiting for the paperwork and background checks to be completed on my new job. The days are now long and I have to spend the day with teenagers. I hope I can get into the new job by the middle of the month.

On the good side of things I have completed some more detail work on the layout. So far I have finished two portals and started the detail work at the base of my many peirs. It is starting to look nice.

We had a very good rain yesterday and had over one inche in the water gauge. That will make the corn grow not mention the grass.

I did order another train yesterday. It is a Candian National non power unit from MTH due out in Novemeber from the #2 catalog.

I wish all those with problems the best.

Hello everyone!

Just walked in from the shore a few minutes ago. I got a LGB Coca Cola Modern Tank Car while I was there. It's a great looking car. Pics for SPF.

Zeke, sorry that happened, but I'm glad you are feeling better! You are a great part of this forum.

I see I have a lot of catching up to do. I think around 10-15 pages is what I missed.

I hope everyone has a good afternoon.

A spectacular day out there! Warm and breezy. Low 80s expected for tomorrow, then the heat rolls in. Not much going on tomorrow. Probably sit by the pool. Then Sunday we have a baptism to go to.

I hope to get my 2025 all stamped and run that for a while tonight. I also want to finish up Julia's pink train. I never got around to placing the decals on it. The smoke unit quit on it the other day. Most likely a loose wire.

Hey, I see Paris Hilton is in Hawaii soaking up the sun. I sure hope she used sun screen!

Evening guys,

Missed a day again and it took a while to catch up.

Zeke, Where are you.   Hope you are still improving.

RT, Yes you can collect Unemployment as long as you were not fired for cause.  Hope something comes along for you soon.

Colin, Welcome Back from Vacation.

We finally got some rain, .4" on Wednesday evening & another 2" on Thursday evening.  The 2" was spread over about 7 hours so a lot of it did soak in.

A couple of long time coffee pot members have not been heard from in a while.  Tom S. form NY and Jon E. from out West.

Spent some time at Reading Days at the PA RR Museum yesterday.  Two modular layouts, the Reading Historical & Technical Society in HO and Joe Bryce in 3 rail O.  Will try to post some pictures on Sunday.

We are heading to Horseshoe Curve and Railfest at Altoona tomorrow, early train out of Harrisburg with the Harrisburg Chapter of NRHS.  Hope to get some good pics.  Probably wont be on tomorrow as we will get home late.

 Take care,
