Zeke, Dam, I did not tick that option box. Hover conversion would be sweet though... Hope the pool is doing ok. Our portable job takes all night to fill.
John B, Will try and get the D sorted for Ilkley next year. Take you for a spin. Guess the Hellgate Bridge will have to stay at home though. I can't see it fitting in the boot (trunk)
Expecting large amounts of building materials to arrive today. Oh lorry has just arrived
Catch you all later

Chief!! The Doctor Is In!I found some sweet tea here in Alameda, Ca. Arizona iced tea is selling Sourthern style sweet tea. It's very good, but Mrs.Fu wants to know if you can PM me the recipe for sweet tea(it might be cheaper than buying it by the gallon) I have found that sweet tea is addictive !!! My father(god rest his soul) never told me about sweet tea. he was born in the south and did not say much about his life there, but he said my grandfather made moonshine! My best to you and yours!

0930GMT in a very wet and windy Stockport, temperature down from 26C Monday to 14C today, I would love to donate a few drops to you guys in NC, TX. The middle of the country is suffering floods with disruption to rail and road. As the Armoury and I are 90 metres above sea level, the Robinsons is in no danger (Friday I can play out untill late and drink as much of the foaming brown stuff as I want! hic!).
Talk about daft; Just seen an item in our press about a town in Louisianna that has banned the wearing of tight trowsers that show the outline of the underwear, in this enlightened age the good bourgers will fine you $1,000.00 or lock you away for 6 months if you disobey. Is it me? Or is the world really going to end in 2012? It probably should end in 2011! Then we will be spared the utter stupididy of the olympics being held here, it's acting like when someone steals the plug from a bath full of beer and the joy-juice dos a dissappearing act. Money is vanishing into its gaping maw and depriving the country of cash to prop up our crumbling infrastructure.
Cheif, Any chance of us getting a few million tons of grits to repair our sea defences?
I'm so fed up, I can't be bothered to do any smileys.
Damn! And now the spell checker has vanished. Thood and blunder!!!!

Morning to All
A fresh pot is in the burner. Today is the last day with teachers. We will have a big picnic with lots of good food. I'll grill some burgers and we're having steamed shrimp. Yum. I have two teachers retiring after 32 and 36 years respectively. Both are top-notch. We'll miss them greatly. Then I have about a week and a half of training before I get to start the new job in earnest.
Take care.

Good morning from New England!
New carpet installed yesterday looks great. Chuck's blueberry bridge looks great. I'm not wearing underpants and I feel great!
My sunburn from a few weeks back is finally beginning to peel.
Buckeye, what is wrong with you?! You don't give a case of beer to a kid who just got arrested for DUI! How wrong of you to even suggest such a thing! Clearly a nickle bag of hemp or maybe a couple grams of coke are called for under these circustances, but not more alchohol.
Only 4 days until the Roseyville Rascal makes his pilgrimage to the North. He loves it up here. so much so that every time we hook up, he grabs a bunch of real estate flyers and booklets. He's looking to move up!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 60 degrees. Going up to 84 today with mostly sunshine.
Today is a chores around the house day. I have to run a few errands, later, and get ready for the trip North, tomorrow. Gas prices have come down to $2.79 a gallon. Still too high. I got a lot done yesterday. I'm glad the bridge painting is done. Now, to put it back on the layout. I think I will try some tubular track on it, to see how it looks. I'll have to take some pictures.
Well, Dining Car is here and ready for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Friday. John ( csxt30 )....Enjoy !!
Chuck
Good Morning Everyone !! Got up about an hour ago & noticed Jim said he doesn't have his underwear on !! Must be low on them !! I hope he doesn't get me in too much trouble today !! I have today off, using my Safety day before I loose it July 1st. Then we get another one!! One every 6 months if no one gets hurt! Well, now I'm off to have some Tony the Tigers !!
Hope everyone has a nice day !!
Thanks, John
That boxcab is extremely cool.
Off to the coast to pick up my son from camp. A good day to everyone. Did get a little train action in this AM. Turns out my Plymouth Switcher runs just fine in tandem with my BEEP. My postwar cars continue to experience coupler failure caused by apparently anything - a change in air pressure, a passing sigh, whatever. Sheesh.

Nope not the cowboy model, I wish, Love the octagon barrel. Got it cause I have a Colt .357 Python and figured I could hunt with both and shoot with 38s too.

TGIF.
Went GOLFIN yesterday with brother. Beat him by one stroke dispite a 9 on the third hole,STINKY ROTTEN HOLE. Otherwise played well. Didn't have to use the foot wedge.

BUCKEYE, send the beer here I'll take care of it for you.
MITCH, pace yourself at the outing today.
All have a good one.

mitchelr - I'll let you do the grilling at the GOLDEN SPIKE BEER-FEST ceremony. How many pounds of shrimp should I order?
laz57 - Partner, you're supposed to visit the 19th hole after the 18th hole, not after the 2nd.
Good morning from a sunny and warm Chicago where I rode the water taxi all the way to the end of the river - in lieu of getting to work right away. What a delightful way to begin a day. I am jealous though - an acquaintance works at a small firm recently acquired by Google -he's now a googlilliniaire
Jim F, that beautiful CNJ boxcab has third rail shoes instead of pantagraphs - see 'em by the trucks in the picture.

Morning all!
Cloudy here. Might rain. No rain in my area yesterday.
Ms and I are going to do our weekly lunch today.
Hope all have a good day today.
Regards, Roy
Chief, say hey to Eefus, Clem, and Broomhilda for me at the meetin'!
Finally a nice summah day out there. The past few days have been more like what one would expect in late March early April.
I won't be on the forum this weekend, so I want to wish all the dads here a very Happy Father's Day. Enjoy your day, and more importantly, enjoy your kids!
Dr. Fu Man Chu - to make sweet tea you just keep adding sugar until you cannot get it dissolve.
Sir James - good to have you on-board!

John -
I got a call from Barry, he asked if I would mind do some extended testing on the engine. I told him no problem. He shipped it yesterday. As soon as I have any results I will let you know.
Regards,
Don

Nick,
Sent you an e-mail testerday, came back, 'not delivered-timed out' if I'm not going to get my alibi? I'm going to get my bottom spanked. so here's my e-mail address;
<revo@talktalk.net>
I think next years meet is somewhere else; Norwich or Ipswich or what ever.
Happy fathers day you guys over the pond, I'm not sure when it is here as no one seems to bother.
Good afternoon, everyone!
Good news from the Johnston household. Sheryl's heart test was negative, so she did not have to have the defibrilator implanted. The test took about an hour, then she had to stay fairly still for six hours to get over the effects of the sedative and to avoid bleeding from the site where the catheter was inserted in her leg. Afterward, we went to her favorite restaurant in Birmingham (P.F. Chang's) and then drove back to Prattville. She's taking it easy today but she's free to resume all activities after three days. Thanks to all for the prayers, good wishes and kind words. We're grateful to God for the good report.
Had a good rain in Birmingham yesterday but only a brief shower here locally. It's cloudy and warm, so we may get a shower this afternoon. May try to cut the front yard later today. Grass hasn't grown much - just want to scare the weeds a bit.
Fifedog, I don't know about spare lumber but I can do a nice line in thermolite blocks! The driveway is full of them. As well as all the roofing materials. We have 25 sq Meters of Bradstone blocks to arrive next week along with 34 roof trusses.
John B, Sent the photo hope it saves your behind
FIL and I had a "What have we done" moment this afternoon when the second lorry load of blocks turned up. The driver says we are a pallet short but we have wiped out their stock!
