Philly, watch out! I bet she caught onto our old trick of buying something on the pricey side, then before she finds out about it, we buy her something nice or let her buy something nice for herself and it softens the blow. She probably bought that $500.00 shower curtain that she's been eyeing.
Buckeye, Hearing Mr. Wolf going to the home of that rascal Sherman is no suprise, He will probably take notes, make a reproduction of Sherman's house in 1/48th scale and then sue the Sherman estate for "stealing" his ideas.
Chief, you have to watch it with them pretty reporters. They will bat them eyes and the next thing, you find yourself answering any 'ol question. They may get you to divulge the plans for the next Grits raid or something.
Well, rest of family is in bed. Time to finish up with the CTT and get some rest. Still have two cases I may have to go and do.
God Bless,

Didn't think of this but look at your tires and check the side walls. You might have a bad belt on one of them. You'll notice it looks like a line running from the tread to the rim. Might look some what of a welt. That would make you car shake.
Went to what is called Work Force Alliance here in Florida(job service program here in FL) and taking class for loss prevention at grocery stores with a company called Master's Security, already have a D license for security work. Also signed up on Handymanconnection.com for work, hopefullt something will turn up.
jefelectric, thanks for the good luck wishes on finding work, I may have a few leads.
Would love to go to the York PA meet but finances and wife's work schedual prevent it. York is only an hour or so from Reading, about 40 minutes from Lancaster if I stayed at Lancaster in a motel for the night.

We got hammered...Really dark with thunder and lightning all around us. I think all this rain is starting to hamper our septic system. I heard gurgling last night.

Been there done that. Actually her Mom just got rid of her last horse, always had at least one on the property and as many as three. Also had a donkey for a while, that was the best riding animal for a kid, very tame and docile.
Here she is at the age of 5.
Anyone for Brunswick Stew? My mother used to talk of such things as blood pudding and Haggus, etc. Of course that was back during the war and who knows what folks will eat to sustain themselves under such circumstances. But unless we are surrounded and I have no other choice, nothing "Blood" will be on my plate, except perhaps the juices from a nice rare steak.
Anyway, FIL and his wife are leaving tonight. I will take them all out to dinner if the call allows me to do so. With the movie getting going, I am not sure I will have a whole lot of train time over the next few months anyway.

1. A Yooper, is someone from Michigan's Upper Pennisula. Da' UP, eh.
2. No idea about the flowers...A lot of towns do it. Holland does a Tulip festival in the spring.
3. Harbor $pring$...Yup big CA$H.
John: Blood sausage is still produced...All the stuff they don't use in pigs..lips toungue...combined with barley, and is black in color....Yum! I have pepprocini with that too! That was a very cheap way to feed the family...My father is 100% Slovak, his parents came over from the old country.
Old country definition: A few years ago, my aunt called the town their parents came from, and asked for so-and-so...20-minutes later, he came to the phone. The town still only had 1-phone.
A quick search on Google will unearth a veritable cornucopia of gustatory delights, such as blood sausage, blood pudding, black pudding, black sausage, boudin noir and goodness knows what else. Bon appetite!

Kurt : I think it was pickled pigs feet now that you mentioned it. Not sure what the blood something was, but I thought that's what they called it. Maybe it was blood sausage, I was little then & wouldn't eat it !!

Really hope they can figure this out. I found a new rim on EBay for $110.00, or a set of new rims for $379.00 If I can talk my friend into buying my existing rims for $100.00 I think I'll splurg for the new set! New brakes all the way around = $470.00, that new rotors, pads, and sensors... not too bad. Then I need new struts, if doing that I'll also put the Eibach springs on it to give it the sport package look and handling...

Yes. The alignment of the armature was off, creating a binding in the gears. I looked at it, slept on it, and figured out what needed to be done to fix it. It was running great last night. Those old Marx locos sure can smoke!
My bad cholesterol was way down almost 40 points, my testosterone is normal, my weight is fine, etc. All things came back great. A sure bet I'll be dead by Sunday!! Flirted with the nurses for a while and left...
