Hi folks - Colin, that's right, I emailed ogaugeoverlord and he forwarded it to Customer Service.

Honestly folks, I never would have done it, but I got a lecture at work on stolen identities and information security and it kind of scared me!  I've shared a lot of info on here.  We have to be aware that there are some folks who pretend to be someone they are not just for kicks -- others do it to PHISH and rip you off!

Ron was back at work on total restrictions to sit at his computer only.  He presured the doc into letting him come to work because he is out of sick leave.  Ron is in really great physical shape, works out etc.  Too bad he has heart disease.  Maybe he'll quit smoking again.  I've got a bad cold, so I just stayed at my desk instead of meeting him outside for his smoke breaks.  Don't want him to get sick on top of everything else!

PS - Howdy Mel!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Chief, does the DNR know about you building this illegal dam and putting the fine citizens of Roseyville in harms way?  Whistling [:-^]

The best thing to pull that Ranger is a 4x4 Chevy Truck with their trailer package and a factory installed GPS.  Been there, done that.

Howdy, Land Curiser is what Youngest has.  Her MIL has the other one.  I like the Highlander but want to tow the Ranger one day so figured the 4 Runner was beefier for that.

Well, hauled 4 big loads of big rocks [some I could hardly lift into truck].  Filled 4 holes in pond dam.  Then heard on radio, as I was driving with last load at 4:30 PM, it was 101 degrees!!!!!  No wonder I was sweating so much.  Drank lots of bottles of water.  Did take one 30 minute break after the 3rd load.  Got it so, if pond fills fast, I can drive up and dump rocks from truck into the water and it will hit big rocks and fill the bank.  Now to build a woodduck box and put it up in where normally shallow water is.  Then pond is raedy for big rains.  Bet we get some this week.

Shower time.  Later

Stopped in at the local hobby shop today and compared the MTH Realtrax.  The roadbed and ties have changed dramatically.  The roadbed is darker.

Chief and I had a discussion about MTH Track today and fifedog, when you find MTH at York, I second you asking them what are they doing with their track!!  The Chief is having more problems than I have encountered.

I hope to remember most of the last few days worth of posts to reply to.  John, No, never heard of popcorn causing anything but sticky fingers.

Dr. John, not sure what the prayer request was, but They are with you and the needs.

Marty, How is your bride doing?  I believe this Thursday was the big day.  Will pray for her needs.

Frank, good to see you post.  Look forward to your contributions.

Chief, I have heard Fastrack having coloration issues as well, but have not seen any.

Nick and John B, across the pond, The latest OGR has a article on a layout in London by Donough O'Brien.  You may want to check it out.  Perhaps you can all colaborate on all things trains.

Well, time to finish here at work and head home for the real labor.  SWMBO has a few things on the todo list for me.

Blessings,

I got one of the K-Line Voltmeter cars from my local hobby shop the other week. Put it on the track, lights up, and the needle moves. It only shows about 15 volts to the track and that is coming from a 180 watt power master through one of the new ZW's. Need to find an accurate volt meter to see whether the car is actually on the money or not.

BTW: I think this is my first post on the coffe pot site but I'm not sure. Have enjoyed reading the banter that goes back and forth.

Buckeye--

Thanks for the link to Garden rail set up, they really did a nice job of not cluttering it up but then again, they had the room to work with. I need to get may Galloping Goose out again, great sounds.

Chief--
We've had a 4 Runner for 4 years and it's a wonderful vehicle, it's one of the top rated SUV's by Consumer Reports. The next size above it is the Sequoia and then the Land Cruiser, the Highlander is smaller than the 4 Runner and not nearly as "beefy", it's OK but we wanted something just a little bigger and heavier.

Take care.

Jon

Jim F, Yea wires, wires everywhere LOL. Busy with work so having to fit in work on the gamesroom electrics when I can. My 1500 Watt pure sine inverter has arrived so I tested that out last night.

I have the seperate circuit in for the layout and the ring main for the power sockets in the gamesroom. Have the ring main for the garage and lighting circuits for both garage and gamesroom to do yet.

Glad to see Lisa post !!  I was working on my post when she posted. Thanks for the throat info !

Brent : I don't have that voltmeter boxcar, but I always did want to get one. For years I have this one caboose with a very bright bulb in it I use to run over areas of track I may be having a problem with, but I think that K-line volt boxcar would be a whole lot better !!

Thanks, John

That would be the 'Land Cruiser'.  Nice, but way too big for Susan and I... we're looking at the Highlander or Acura MDX (depends on what the Fed gives back to us next year).  I actually like the Highlander more and it is quite a bit less expensive...

Unbelievable, I did exactly the same thing.  Wink [;)](I couldn't wait, had to see if anything would work!)  I have 2 gargraves straight sections secured, and a 14 foot oval connected to them, then have about 18 switches (ross) just setting on the layout (connected by track rails only).  Then a inner 10 foot oval, which has two cross over points, AND two Wye's and then about 12 sidings connected off the inner oval.  Ran 2 "alligator clips", too the DCS TIU, and have it plugged in to some circuit breakers, a even the TMCC module connected.  Hooked that all up to a ZW, and guess what ????   All the track works!!! In both TMCC and DCS, just from these aligator clips connected to one of the spurs!!!!!  BTW, I have about 13 illuminated passenger cars setting on the sidings, and they ARE lit !!

I ran 2 big engines on the unsecured track, one on each loop last night !!  Was I amazed.  And very little of the track is secured.  It WAS a hassle running all over and manually changing the switches though !! Laugh [(-D]

So here's too you, (JD or your favorite), AND THEY SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE !!  GUESS WE ARE JUST TO NAIVE TO KNOW BETTER, HUH ??  Bow [bow]Whistling [:-^]

Good Morning & almost afternoon Everyone !! Probably work even later tonight since they are taking 1 guy off the switching crew tonight. Brainy CSX leadership !! That should give me even more overtime now till they figure that out ! That conductor already told me it will take way longer to do that amount of work, with one less guy now. That's why I tried to sleep later today .

Oh, Chief, or anyone, is popcorn fibre ? I never knew that !! Maybe I can have it more often now !! Laugh [(-D]

Chief - I remember you talking about that cough when you came by here last spring - think you mentioned your blood pressure medicine - of course allergies could be the problem now as it is so dry and the ragweed is sending lots of stuff into the air.  However, I would have your Dr. think about changing your BP med.

-AND - I think John was talking about polyps in the throat - not the other place!Whistling [:-^]

Hope everyone has a great week!
