Howdy guys and Happy Eastereve.  I am beat, pete.  A buddy is putting in a brick patio out back.  Today, he and I picked up a yard (27 cubic feet) of 1 inch minus gravel and a half yard of screenings or finings, which is about 2.25 tons of rock and sand.  It took 3 trips to the landscape yard.  We tried to back my little Chevy truck up his side yard as far as we could, but the grass was really wet, so we ended up parking in the street and moving it all with two wheelbarrows.  Then we went to Home Depot and picked up about 50 pavers - still need another 15, but didn't want to overload my truck.  I guess we moved about 3000 pounds each!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I'm getting really worried !!!!

The Chief is now mobile, and roaming around his spread with a wireless laptop, passing Havoc to the Nawth, with cold weather and grits raids.  REMOTELY

The Nawtheners are throwing cold weather and snow stuff towards the south.  Preparring their lawnmowers with snow blowers.

I don't do well with snow, cold weather, or grits.

So I am calling for a TRUCE !!!  (This should be an annual requirement anyway, this close to York! )

In the event that ANY partys are NOT willing to participate in serious negotiations I have contacted Dougdagrump, to enlist his support, in making arrangements for Condalice Rice to intercede immediately.  (Remeber he is former military and has an entire Navy at his disposal)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter !

Evening (Morning??) all,

Cold and snowy here.  We had our Easter Vigil service tonight, it was cold and windy which made for a challenge because the service starts outside with blessing Easter Fire and lights the Easter Candle and everyone has candles and processes inside.  It was a long service, 3 1/2 hours, 1 baptism, 3 confirmations and 3 entering the Church, many readings, psalms and pagentry tonight.  It was really something!  Didn't do anything with the trains again today, got to sleep sometime, maybe on the next day off.  Did get the road in to the sawmill and started some detailing a day or so ago.

Youngest daughter in from Cincinnati and the oldest will come up so we'll have the grandkids up in the afternoon, maybe run trains then.

On break at work and need to check on a few things, Have a blessed Easter!

0800BST in a sunny Stockport +3C, forecast is for +15C by 1300BST, warmest Easter on record. I think we must be getting your Southern weather here, going to Chatsworth House (the family seat of the Duke and Dutchess of Devonshire) today, it's taken care of by the National Trust and has just reopened after the winter closure for maintenance. A walk around the vast gardens is shear magic.
Still waiting for the bank to tell me when and how much I can spend on Lionel.

Nick, rather a long way to go for the sun, you left it here at home.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cold, snowy 27 degrees. Going up to 39, today, with some more snow on the way. We covered up the flowers that are blooming.

Today, we have decided to stay home. The 300 mile trip is not looking good in this weather. We will have Easter here and make the best of it. Maybe, later, I can run some trains and relax. Hopefully, it will be a peaceful day. This weather has messed up a lot of people's plans.

I hope all my Forum Friends have a Very Happy Easter.

Now, for the Dining Car and breakfast. Then, I will send it to ........................" Points West ".

Y'all have a Great Easter and Sunday.

Happy Easter to all!

Chuck - I hope you are staying home today, we have about 6" of new snow from this morning and it is still falling. Many areas have around 24" today. Not a good day to be on the roads.

And the Chief is wireless??? Here I thought he was always wired to tight!

All be safe

Happy Easter from Buckeyeland,

where we have snow, blowing snow and a temperature of 28 degrees on this Sunday morning in January, February, March, April.   Most of our peach crop has been destroyed according to all reports.   Serious financial damage has taken place for many due to this prolonged cold.

Church this morning and then a big family gathering at a restaurant near the airport.  Kids will stop over later.   Do we start giving sleds to kids at Easter?

Yesterday, wife, who is still healing from arthroscopic surgery and I took a ride to the Hocking Hills of Ohio.   The train at Nelsonville, Ohio was operating and there were many people in town.

Chuck, from what I hear, a trip to Cleveland would have been dicey

Good morning on a cold and chilly Easter morning.

We went to early church and now have a few minutes before going to pick up the FIL at Masonic Village.  We will be having the family Easter dinner at our Son's house.  Will be 13 of us, of course the daughters family from CO will not be there.

My TMCC converted Buddy started acting up last evening when the granddaughter was running it.  First I had to reprogram the address as it wouldn't respond.  Then after a While the Horn and Bell quite responding, but still had the diesel sound.  Never did get that back.  May get some time today to try to figure out what is wrong.  I am hopping the little button pusher did something that I can correct by resetting it, we'll see.

Enjoy the day.

Keith, I have you to know that missile is ready to go.  Warhead loaded with GRITS.  We are now developing another warhead.  Sweet ice tea.  The Bush administration has been meeting with us to try to get us to stop.  No go.  We are well on our way to enrichening the ice tea with SUGAR.  SNOW in OHIO in April!!!  Approve [^]Thumbs Up [tup]Laugh [(-D]Whistling [:-^]

Good morning from a chilly Crystal Lake where we are off the mid-morning services in a few moments. I spent yesterday afternoon repairing cat damage to Mt. Seaman and the Apitz Forest. I dreamt up a few solutions to try to implement later this afternoon I hope - honey baked ham for supper tonight, then visiting some friends for a nice card game. I sure was surprised to hear the White Sox cancelled their first night game on Fri too - because of the cold. Chief, that looks like some of the Nike missles that used to be parked along the Chicago shoreline. Happy Easter!!

Back from sunrise Easter service. Daughter sings in the youth chior for this service. They did a fine job. The new Youth Minister led this service and he did a fine job. Young guy and I think the kids will like him a lot.

Don - a truce??? We just pushed the snowhizo back nawth. No need for a truce - we are winning (umm - although this is the coldest Easter here in 70 years)!

There is so much snowhizo in Ohizo that poor Tom can't get down to the Waffle House at the end of his street! Buckeye is confined to his immediate area which is a good thing and Chuck is stuck in the dining car (it could be worse Dinner [dinner]).

Hey Keith - I noticed you were tunning your 269E set without the white flags on the boiler front. I can't get mine to fit into the holes without scraping some paint off them. Do you have the same problem? I think I will pick up some repro ones at York and grind them down.

Snowed about 2 inches south of here, but the DFW area stayed dry! Cowboy [C):-)]

Have a great day all. Head to wife's sister's house at 1:00 pm for Easter lunch!

Regards, Roy

Sorry for you Marty.  I'm off until the last week of April.  Then only going to BPS in Charlotte [Concord], NC.  Then off until first full week in June [off to store opening in Messa [Phoneix] AZ.  Seems good.  Not going to work that much anymore.  CPA suggested it as paying Bush took much taxes.  Be safe getting home and may you always get the Big Seats.

Happy Easter guys (and Lisa),

No train work today, got some honey do's to take care of.  I was outbid on that Wabash Hudson, so I will let it go.  I was supposed to work cameras this morning, but was asked to run the light board.  Everything went well and it was a very good service.  Funny how the house gets packed out on Christmas and Easter and then the rest of the time, the faithful fill about 2/3 the seats.

John, I did order the book.  Thanks.  I look forward to using it as I hope to start scenery soon.

Chief, Hope the caboose fix is easy.  I too have one of these, but as you are well aware, my trains have not been running for awhile and not under command.  I should have all levels running soon and then I can start breaking in some trains under command.....thanks.

Dennis

Hello Roy!    The White Flags will not fit properly on my 261E Engine either. As a result, I did not use them. Hopefully it will be corrected with the 262E in this years catolog. Chief- I see you're planning to send Sweet Iced Tea our way. How about a Truce & I'll find a 1688 for your layout? Deal or no Deal?Smile [:)] Have a Happy Easter all.

Good evening, everyone. I hope everyone has enjoyed a blessed Easter Sunday!

We had a nice day together. Good crowds at church today despite the chilly weather. Over 2000 at the three services. My son talked to his girlfriend this afternoon - she was down in Mobile at her grandmothers for Easter. She said they actually had some sleet down there early this a.m.!  None of that here, thankfully.

Had ham, potatoes, deviled eggs, butter beans, squash and rolls for lunch w/ sweet tea and carrot cake for dessert. Great lunch! No evening services today, so we're taking it easy at home. Son left for Birmingham about an hour ago. Older daughter heads back tomorrow. Ham sandwich for supper, read a while, then off to bed. Have a good night, all!

Evening everyone.  No train work tonight, but it is a good night anyway.  Our two kids are acting out the puppet scene from "Sound of Music".  To keep it train related, I did not realize that they actually have a train in the movie, an incline railway.

Came home from church to take care of the plants and trees recently planted that them yanks tried to freeze to death.  That just aint right.  Anyway, with a good bit of water and some warm temps, I think they will be alright.

Time to read some stories to the kids and get to bed.  I hope the kids let us get some sleep tonight.....all that sugar from candy may make them wired beyond control.

Good morning from a chilly New England!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter Sunday. We spent the day at my wife's cousin's house. I had a great time. One milf even said I looked handsome!

I won a Marx 666 on Ebay on Saturday. I will pick it up tomorrow as the store (weasel) is not open today. Will have to cough up $17.51 for it though. I will most likely purchase a few Marx cars to go with it while I'm there. My first Marx...let the addiction begin. I'm going to have a priest bless it with holy water because of the number!

Also watched a great hour-long program on the 1967 Red Sox. Lots of clips from the Impossible Dream season!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a frosty 30 degrees. Going up to 40 today with a chance of rain later. Maybe it will start warming up this week.

Today, is a busy day. I have a few errands to run and then some chores to do around the house. We had a nice Easter. It was quiet and peaceful. Things are still in a highly emotional state. But, as time goes on, we are getting stronger on our loss. It will take a long time.

Ran trains for awhile yesterday. Put the town back on the layout. Trying to figure out where I want all the buildings. Then to put in the roads. No rush. I will have to think about it, before I finish the plan.

Well, Dining Car has arrived and it's time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Monday.
