Good morning. Slept till 8:45. Wifey was up and took care of the dogs and cat. undefined all stayed quite but had Alexa playing rain sounds to "drown" out noises.
All stay well and have a great day.

Growing up part time on Granddads farm all of us kids knew how to drive as soon as we could handle the controls. By 12 years old it was nothing to drive the pick-up. They must be farm boys.
Chief, sounds like something that would happen to me.
Roy,, keep knocking them out.
Fife, I thought that was a new Durango? How many miles you got on it?
Only need to get a Bass Pro gift card for SIL and we are done!
IL numbers are heading down for now. Under 11%. Where is that Thanksgiving surge???

Quite true there, I'm 67 and my hands bruise very easily if I bang them on something hard. Looks scary, but the bruises go away in a day or two.

Specialist visit this afternoon.
Go let Granddogs out at noon.
Stay well.
Last nice day, going to get into the low 60s then the rains and cold.
Okay Fife, yeah about the right time for those issues. Dodge is not known for good transmissions. My ranger was on the third set of wheel bearings by 157k.
Thanks Doug for the Achmed clip, good to have some fun these days.
Guess I had better find something to do with the day.
Hello there, Roy...... continued Prayers.
Fife......seems like you got the Durango just a year or two ago.A couple of months ago I failed a hearing test, they tried to sell me hearing aids for $3,000. I said I'm not spending that much. Mrs wasn't real happy with that. Online research told me some $600 ones are as good as the $6,000, but not which ones. Last week I found out while renewing my Medicare supplement there is a hearing coverage from their provider. Yesterday's results similar to last time, high frequency loss. Then he goes on to explain I hear vowels but not consonants. And men better than women. No wonder Mrs and daughter are hard to understand. The pair he tried didn't make a significant change but he said we are in a quiet room..Mine will be here next week, we'll see. $1,400 for what would be $6,000 without the insurance. Hunted till 9 this AM, no deer, then home to decorate outside. Prayers for those in need, those affected by the fires, hurricanes and the end of this pandemic.

Mr. Banks,
(That has such a Mary Poppins feel to it!)
Get the hearing aid(s), the longer you go without them, the more likely the damage becomes permanent.
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 37 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. It's been mild in the afternoons, as we actually cooked burgers on the grill last night. That reminds me, need to get fresh tank of propane.
After 2 whole days of work, I've emerged from under the tree after setting up Wifey's North Pole Village. The Gingerbread Junction train fired right up, and everything running smooth. SPF pics this weekend.
Good morning and TGIF --- So last nights fiasco was a minor skirmish - - at the end the Chief and his staff were re-elected , unfortunately. The Executive staff have a new slate - a new president and vice president....so I was elected as Vice President of the department by 5 votes. I'm now Vice President and Sr. Trustee....let the a$$ kicking begin.....I'm also Vice President of the county Fireman's Association. I'll also be interested in being Lt. of the Department - if I can convince a past Deputy Chief to be Captain. God, I hate being a politician.....
Fife - Spent ALL last weekend doing Jenni's Christmas - I feel your pain....lol
Up to 60 today, then rain all day tomorrow - Snohio next week sometimeThat's all from here for now
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
60 degrees and sunny. High 60's today. NC and wait a day and the weather will change.Been on early Human Services Community Advocacy Committee meeting for one of my Regional Offices by zoom. Now run some errands and do outside chores. Hunt tomorrow. All stay well.
7 down - 23 to go!
Hmmmm - what could go wrong with a megawatt photon beam aimed at your neck?
At least I get a 2 day break for the weekend!
Finally finished "Hell on Wheels" on Netflix - I really enjoyed it and it was fun how they mixed fact and fiction on the backdrop of building of the transcontinental RR. I was amused how they had a couple of "wooden" prop 4-4-0s with no attention to details like bolts on cylinder heads, etc., and then go to the trouble to have "steam" emitting from non-visible cylinder cocks on startup, a version of link couplers, archbar trucks, reasonably realistic low profile rails and ties, and no ballast - rails and ties on dirt like the real thing. I read Ambrose's book "Nothing Like it in the World" which provided a lot of context for the show.
One has until the 31st to binge watch it - but it is 60+ shows at about 45 min each!
Regards, Roy

Haven't felt up to doing much of anything lately. Dad has been in the hospital with COVID since Sunday. Finally got to talk to Dr today. He hasn't improved, nor has he gotten worse, so we're just waiting. DrQ said today this is normal for many his age and health issues, but holding steady 5 days in is a good sign.Good to see Bill posting! Prayers for you bud!Fife - I got the train garden under the tree this year, but realized the bins are tucked away too bad to get the trains involved. Maybe next year. Will try to get on more... but not making promises.

88 - You can always drive to Short Gap to get your 3 rail fix...
Roy - I've watched it 3 times. Beware the Swede...
Good evening all,
Good day at work. Lucas stopped in on way to see his daughter. Got another good walk in. Blue Bloods was good tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Morning. Slept until 8:30. Partly cloudy and clearing some. 54 degrees. High 60's for deer stand this afternoon. Getting ready to leave and do some feeder work. Seems I am the only one that know how to do anything.
SIL killed a cull buck out of my stand yesterday. Finally. He comes frequently. Fine with me as I don't have to drag him out. Old buck turning real gray and bad antlers.
Ordered there buildings from Menards yesterday. Get free pickup with the purchase. Really think I could have gotten 3 pickups. 1 is enough.
Blue Bloods on DVR. Will watch it tonight after I get back home.
Have a good one and stay well.
Mornin' boys. Mild and a little damp in the Potomac highlands. Wifey a little under the weather this weekend, which could affect seeing my folks. We'll see.
Since I brought home all of my painting gear, finally touched up the den walls. FifeMax had marked them up somewhat over the past 4 years, especially around the bar.
Prayers for Brent's father, Roy, and those who are hurting.
V8Vega Even HO is a lot easier to store than our 0 scale.
Indeed. Right now I'm at the point I have to cool it on new purchases. Before something comes in, something has to go out. No more room.
Good morning. Early morning showers are gone and sun is out. 62 degrees. 66 degrees yesterday at 5 PM in deer stand in Dec. Another Fred story. Supposedly missed another buck. Maybe or maybe not. Off to Wifey's Cousin Mark's. His wife died yesterday AM. Went to get her up and she was dead. Late 40's.
Pryers for Brent and his family.Hope all have a great day.
Afternoon gang!
Rained all morning here - a lot - got over an inch here. We needed it!
Lousy day yesterday - much better day today! Cannot seem to string good days together - oh well! I think a good day is when I shed some of those photons!
Chief - so sorry about your wife's cousin's loss - terrible.
My sincere condolances to your wife's cousin Chief, how tragic, late 40's is way too young to pass away. I can't imagine his grief, and to have it happen like that.
Colder today, light dusting of snow this afternoon (so far). Spent some time in the shop cutting oak for a kneeler (Prie Dieu). Made a small mistake, but one of the cuts I made removed a larger mistake from a couple of weeks ago.
I bought the January issue of Model Railroader yesterday (a bit of payback to Kalmbach for being on this web site), there is no way I could make such realism in any layout I'd attempt.
Got Christmas cards done today. Actually added to the list this year (first time in a long time for that ). Did a lot of cleanup of various areas as well. I hope to do some train work soon as well. I see where LCCA is adding IVES and early American Flyer catalogs to their archive catalogs. One of the best deals in toy trains IMHO. Weather is cold and miserable. Chief, my condolences on your loss. I hope everyone has a good day.
Wet good morning. Pouring and 59 degrees. Now we've had some hard downpours and thunder. Even Mirra [cat] came back in and went upstairs to her bed. Lucy still in the bed.
Wifey had to work today. Filling in for the "college girl" who works there part time.
Nothing on agenda. Work tomorrow and Wed. Human Services Board and Regional Networks meetings all Thursday AM.
Hope all have a great day.
It's Monday here and it is raining - Temps were in the mid 60s yesterday, spent the day trying to fix a chair for Jenni, while she was on a Zoom meeting with some of her friends, they were building gingerbread houses. I found her an N scale station to build so she wouldn't feel left out. I helped her paint some of it toward the end of her meeting. Ended the night with home made burgers, chips and The Patriot.Just about finished Mom's house with the decorations - just need to finish up the manger. That was Saturday.Meeting tonight - hope to have an early bed time - LOL!!!Forgot, we had a photo shoot with the cars Friday and it turned out great. Christmas card worthy - We did make the Facebook cover page of Jersey Shore Mopars....Hope you get a couple good days together, Roy!!Like Spank said - Snomageddon Wednesday - Thursday. There is plenty of toilet paper in the stores.....Chief - Prayers and condolences - that is such a shame.....Off to work -
Afternoon FellasDad went on a ventilator Saturday night due to oxygen levels not improving. Still hopeful that he will recover. DrQ says it isn't the death sentence it was back in April/May.Roy - glad to see you posting again. (sorry got your name wrong )Chief - wow that is tough. prayersFife - cell # still good?Got the trains up under the tree on Saturday. Kids are very happy. Amazing how just getting one train running and some buildings up can change the mood. Talked to TheQ about redoing the train garden for next year and she seemed receptive.
