Going to be sticky and HOT! 90s So I have shut the house and will turn on the AC later as needed.

Dennis, if you recall a few years back my LG did the same thing. They over power the backlights and the first few will fry . It cost me $120 for a guy in town to fix it. Then within a year or so the reflectors starting falling off the back lights and leaving bright spots on the screen. I junked it and replaced it with a Samsung with side back lights.

Wow Buckeye, If it is Thursday I need to go to Krogers today! Surprise

When did it become June? The days just look the same when you don't go anywhere and don't do much of anything. I believe today is Thursday, so it is sort my socks and iron my underwear day.

Good afternoon all,

Thanks, Bob, for starting the post.  Was up past midnight but forgot to do it.  Like some of the rest was watching Indy burn and break glass.  Most of the area where I work had some damage and I saw footage of tear gas being used on the streets I walk at noon.  I was scheduled for a vacation day today and tomorrow is the primary so I am not sure if and when I will be back in the office.  At this point, not sure I care.  The virus was one thing and this rioting is another.  Strange times.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

New lame Mayor thinks her job is a social event.  Whines.

Well, there you go.  If nothing else the last few months have shown there's elected officials who perform OK when everything's going right, but reveal themselves to be inadequate when things go wrong, and especially very  wrong.

Hey, our military, and just about everyone else's military for that matter, learned a long time ago a good peacetime commander doesn't necessarily make a good wartime commander. More often than not they don't. Just the way it is.

On a lighter note, I managed to get a haircut this morning!  Thank goodness, I'm too old for a "man-bun."

Happy June 1st  HEY BOB!!! and Thanks for turning on the Coffee Pot!!

I am wupped today, spent the night with Jenni, Trenton was on fire last night.  Jenni was 10 miles from the major incidents, it would appear, based on the police scanner, that the Quakerbridge Mall (north of Trenton) was being targeted, and those scoping out the mall were either detained or arrested.  The Lawrence and West Windsor cops were on their game last night.

Trenton, being the sewer hole it is with the corrupt politicians and very high crime rate, the protesters/looters/criminals set fire to a few buildings and cop cars then broke into a couple of Pharmacies - some being in what was the Italian section...back in the day, this would have never happened, they would have been shot a disappeared....I'm just waiting for the complete update....I knew there was trouble as the outer Hamilton Twp. fire companies that border on the city were pulled back and all the trucks were evacuated from their houses.  Finally got to bed at midnight, up at 6 and back at Mom's for work.

The good news is that I have resurrected the Marx M10000 set Jenni's friend wanted to get repaired and it runs like a champ!!  Got some brass #6 X 2" screws for the car set and a 3/8th" screw for the cab and engine.  It had been painted red, I used a magic eraser on it and it shined up pretty good.  I might be able to get the paint off and reveal the lithography, but it's not mine, so it'll go as is.  I'll need to find a Marx steamer without an engine, I resurrected the 2nd engine and that runs well.  The owner has an assortment of cars which I also cleaned and lubed.  Marx had some really strange couplers.....So, once I can fine the steamer body, I'll get it all assembled, give her some O27 track and an inexpensive transformer ( I have a bunch) and her Grandfather's train will run anew.

RT sent me a surprise on Saturday and the will go on the layout.  Thanks, RT - I have a firehouse just for that...lol

Other news is that I got Jenni's art station up and running for her, she had 10 commission portraits to do, now she can get started.
NJ State Fireman's Convention in Wildwood has been cancelled and I am not happy about that at all.  This is my vacation that they have cancelled, so Jenni and I are planning some trips to the Horseshoe Curve, PA Railroad Museum and Lancaster to see my God-Daughter and her kids.  Maybe we'll take a run to York on that Friday as she is off on Fridays.  I have 115 hours of vacation time......

Maybe it's time I visited Fife--------lol

Sunny and cooler today, I was on the bike since Saturday (when it was 85F) and the 40F ambient temp froze my fingers this morning.

Time to start the madness - let's see if business keeps on coming....

Sun and 70s today.

Hi Bob.

A busy week as my wife is going in for surgery on Thursday. Of course we are praying for cyst and not the C. I gave Da Chief a 24 hour warning but I guess that easy chair puts him to sleep.

Thanks Bob.  Sat up watching the rioting in Raeligh.  New lame Mayor thinks her job is a social event.  Whines.  Finally a curfew.  Other cities had curfews and no problems.

Bob, please add the years [16] to your new pot or they get lost.  Thanks.

Hey Bob,,, but what is for Breakfast this month???  Huh?

Another nice day today. Cool

Things are spilling over into the smaller towns around here. Burning police cars in Aurora and Elgin and well as breaking into stores in small towns like Oswego. My boy works in the city and is having a hard time getting 9mm Ammo. I told him that started with the COVID-19 thing. It is nuts out there! The police are just watching it go down. Can't say I blame them.

Stay safe gang.

Thanks Bob!

Been enjoying the warm weather. Waffles on the porch yesterday for breakfast and grilled chicken for dinner. Sat out and enjoyed the evening.

Helped neighbor with his new pressure washer. The wand would not screw into the trigger/handle. The male O ring fitting on the handle was approximately .001 larger than the receptacle and would not go in (distorting the brass end on the male fitting). I took it apart and chucked the parts in the lathe and turned off about .002 plus chamfered the receptacle. Works great now.

Regards, Roy
