Good afternoon all,

In the grand scheme of things, this bit of information probably means diddly squat, but I read where lots of Chinese firms are having trouble staying in business due to this virus situation.  I wonder if any our train suppliers are affected?   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

The SIL got his mount of the ten pointer he got in November of 2018 out in the back ravine.

It's 38 degrees now. Snow expected tomorrow into Thursday. NO action here I have been sick with Strep Throat. After seven days there is slight improvement But some just the same. I have advanced from Mrs Grass soup to egg salad.

Nice to see you will only get a light snowhizo event Buckeye!

Was surprisingly sunny so it did not cool down as fast today as predicted, but this evening temps dropping and will be in the high 30's in the am, low 40's tomorrow and a freeze tomorrow night. We might have some snow tomorrow evening, but a nice warm up for the weekend.

SJ - keep gettin better - hope the Mrs is doing better also.

DJ - cool - not sure my son would join in that anymore, but he will be 27 this year!

MikeC - man, wish I could get 12 hrs in, been many years since that was possible for me. Just happy if I can get get 4 hrs in before waking up to go potty.

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 41 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Possible snowhizo tonight, so I'll get out after dinner and spread some grass seed out front.  Need to get down to the railyard after while, and do a little office work as well.

I headed to the train room after dinner, and laid down some ties and ballast of the AF loop.  Still don't have enough blackened ties, but it was a start.  Took a toothbrush to the ties and railheads this morning, to neaten the appearance.  I'll vacuum up the ballast boogers tonight, as it all should be dry.

cheapclassics - 1/3 of the Chinese "small business" workforce have not been able to get to work, mainly due to transportation and quarentine issues.  Millions of pounds of perishable food products are rotting away in containers at Chinese ports.  This is going to have long ripple affects across the global economy.  So, yes, I think it's going to have detrimental affects on the toy train market.  In the meantime, dust off those great old articles on cheap classics, mon frair.

May brake the record for the high today and tomorrow 83 & 84

I'm having a lot of trouble with my internet. Frontier. If a blue light is off on my modum I know no internet and it's almost everyday often. I have to unplug and wait and plug back in and pray. Then I call them and they do something and it so far has come on but it's extremely frustrating and worries me.

Anybody else have unreliable internet?

I've had Frontier since the 90s and it's always been reliable. A few years ago I had a modem (supplied by Frontier) fail.  Called them and they promptly sent a new one.  Just my 2¢.

Happy Hump Day -

My future SIL family is in and staying at my house - Grandma is not doing well, 3 types of cancer so the family is in to support her (from OK), told her to get her affairs in order.  Hence, no train time between the flu and this.  Not sure when they are leaving.

I have a funeral Saturday, one of our Past Chiefs has gone on to the FD in the Sky, been scrambling to get our memebers, most of who have been too lazy to get it done, uniforms in order so they can at least look presentable.  Yeah, let's all wait until someone dies or there is a parade/event.  Worst than children......

I did get my PRR 1668 Torpedo together, just need run time and maybe some contact cleaner and she should be running like the wind.  Also need some time with my 262E and get the new contact plate on it so that will work.

Spent time with Jenni and Smurf the Cat while she draws protraits on a contract of 6 to do.  On #2 of the 6.  Has to be done by the 25th of April.

Greenburg's on Sunday - hope to get some accessories there, Since Jenni has closed on the house I have to build another layout and a slot car track to go with her air hockey table and another arcade type table game.  Need to finish my layout but I have enough for both houses.....

Will check back soon, just been sick and busy with work, it's nuts here, doing 2 jobs....oy.

Prayers for all in need....

Evening folks!

Worked in the garage most of the day. Cold out. My new tank top propane heater kept things toasty - shirt sleeves! Freeze tonight. Might be last freeze of the season although mid-April is officially the last possible time per 125 yrs of records.

Anj - you are carrying quite the load - keep taking time to breath! Angel

DJ - ouch! That much to replace an ignition key! Wowzers! However, in today's world, these heavy repairs are still cheaper/economical vs buying a new vehicle.

Chief - back on the dole! That didn't take long!

Hello there,
    Been neglecting to post.

Went to the Greenberg Show at Monroeville Saturday. Parking as usual sucked. Ended up almost a half mile away. The show was so so. Lots of new stuff and toys that I have no interest in. Several layouts from Z to O with everything in between and lots of wide open space. The crowd was large, had to wait in line at a couple of dealer tables to see what I wanted to see. On the bright side I've never seen so many young people at a show, including couples with kids.

Spent only $5 for shoebox full of O guage rubber ties.

Son decided it was dry enough to start spring plowing. He worked on that Sunday and Monday. I was really surprised how dry it is.

Monday got a ton of coal for the town house and did some grocery shopping.

The only remaining bathroom demo is to get the tub out of the house. Planning to use it and another one for raised bed gardening.

Tomorrow and Friday will be filled with fish fry.

Best get to sleep

Prayers for those in need

Good morning all,

Quiet day at work.  Watched some more Hill Street Blues.  Tried to watch LEGO show.  Too many gimmicks, not enough actual ideas one could use.   Weather cold but dry.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Mornin' boys.  Winter not done yet; thin covering of snohizo and flurries along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  The wind makes it feel colder.  Think I'll hunker in the bunker today.

Did run trains last night after cleaning up the AF line.  My 4-4-0 Washington and freight glided over the newly ballasted section.  No pile-ups.

Banks - I have every intention of attending the Blair County show next weekend, with my crew guys.  Probably won't arrive 'til 1100.

Wish I could be there. I'm gonna be in Lancaster enjoying the Oak Ridge Boys. Planning to see you at the Cumberland show. It's the 1st Saturday in May isn't it?

Are you looking for black ties for O guage track?

Banks - The Allegany Fairgrounds show is May 9th.  I'm looking for dark stained wooden ties, in S scale, for American Flyer track.  Maybe a certain Holy Man in Ohio may be whipping up a batch in the future.

Evening folks!

Sunny day today, started out below freezing and zoomed to 64/65!

SJ - yes, days are getting longer!

Took daughter to rental car place at Dallas Love Field for a weekend trip rental. Drove past the hardest hit areas from Nov's tornado. What a mess still! By the time it hit our neighborhood it was only a couple neighborhood streets wide, but west of here it was maybe a mile/half mile wide where it started. Some very large expensive homes reduced to shells in addition to townhomes, apt complexes, and a couple shopping centers leveled and two very large Dallas schools trashed. Very stark how many people were displaced. Obvious it is going to take years to rebuild the area.

Welcome Fiatfan!

Morning all

50* presently, going to 55* today. Need to take some pics of a couple things. ( Lionels weight system in a few of there NW2, never seen it before, my UP 635 has weights and you tell it was a factory job, moulded in spots for the screws that hold them in place. ) Other pics also.

Then back to doing loop #3, so this will be interesting lol. No problem there thou. Waiting for some more white label tape to come in so I can label what I have for loop #2 before I will start dropping wires for loop #3. Getting low on 16 gauge wire but do have some 14 gauge speaker wire, so may end up using it. I'm soldering wires to the track connectors anyway, so I don't really need to get all the strands in the opening for the wire. Need to cut and make a new platform for my switch controllers and any thing else I will need to control. Also need to clean up the wires to the switch controllers as right now its a mass of wires. Need to do it now than try later.

I have a ZW I need to work on, as it has power to B-C-& D but not A so must have a loos wire somewhere. Otherwise it looks good to go. ( it will end up being one of my back-up transformers. ) I also need to get to a auto store and get the inline fuse holder and fuse chief was talking about.

Hope all have a good day
