Evening folks!

Early start to Feb and an extra day - so its gonna be a long Feb pot! Sorry SJ!

Not much to report. Worked on a couple Lionel 0-6-0 docksiders today. These last few units are the toughest to repair.

Good evening all,

Long day.  Crown took longer than expected with more after pain than before as well.  Wife's vision issue may have flaired up again.  Did make some calls today that may have cleared some issues up.  Hope to get my walk in tomorrow.  Just depends on how wife is doing.  This eye situation could be a long enduring nightmare.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 31 along the Patterson Creek cut-off, where the Queen is back in her castle, after her successful raid into the not-so-"free state".  She loves the grandsons, but loves being home as well.  We had a nice steak dinner with the oldest princess at Texas Roadhouse, and an easy drive home.

I did get some fake foliage, at Hobby Lobby.  They were having a 50% off sale on floral, which I was able to take advantage of.  HL does have a decent model aisle, and I like the products from JTT, like flowering tufts, and cattails.  Modelling Spring, so I need lots of color.  I shall spend some time in the train room today.

Buckeye - Congrats.  Hope the experience is a pleasant one.

Chief - Maple bacon leaves the best aroma.  Thanks for starting the month off.

Good Morning from an overcast wet 36°F Southern Ohio

My bride is driving to a swim meet with our youngest and some fellow swimmers about 2 ½ hours north of here.  They may see snow which here in Southern Ohio we have not had any so far this year.

I’m going to clean-up the new to my 04 Camry I bought a month ago.  It had thrown a code and troubleshooting led the replacing the front O2 sensor, output voltages not responsive, so I replaced the sensor and see.  After a couple hundred miles still no codes or pending codes.

Deer season is over.  Two deer this year, one nice buck.  Was waiting for a big doe yesterday but just the little girls were showing up.  We’ve got about 200# of venison in the freezer.

The new job is going good.  It is swing shift so it is a week of dayshift then a week of nightshift.

May God bless you and your families

Jim

43 and cloudy.  Rain gone.  Babysitting as Wifey gone with Sister to Wilmington.  Wedding planning for Niece.

Hope to go east tomorrow as Bar-B-Q House is closing for good.  Get last meal of last day.  Buddy Larry called to tell me.  50+ years.  About time Jeanie retired. [she owned it and ran it with Larry]

Have a good one.

Scotch and Cold Water pleaseStick out tongue! When were the years that Lionel Sales were down and that O Gauge trains were out of favor? I am told the Cohen years but I also betting that Lionel Trains were so well made that they were passed down and not needed to get a new set every  X-mass.

Phish..... In Knox County we had less than a 1/4" of snow today, but it was falling hard with big flakes. By this time last year we had paid for three driveway plowings.

Fife.... I have been studying. Dunce Finally figured out how the headlights work. I might need to pay the WM a visit for lessons from the boss Captain

Evening all.

Looking for a MTH uncatalogued ES44 from 2015, item # 30-20322-1. It was a pretty limited production run and seems as though it sold out PDQ.

Evening folks!

Sunny and 60's today! Beautiful!

A great day to replace the brakes on the Tahoe. Son joined in - in time to do the heavy wrenching when we pulled the rear caliper hangers. Had to replace the rear rotors. Fronts were fine as were the pads. Anyway it's done! As with any automotive project I undertake - There Will Be Blood. Air wrench got away from me when I thought I was carefully approaching the bolt limit - smashed the back of my hand into the spring hanger - cut and a bruise....Dunce

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 37 along the Eastern Divide.  Some kinda wintry mix to the west.  Phil didn't see his shadow, so early Spring.

Could not care less about the NFL game.  Wifey wants to watch the commercials, and half-time show (noowwww, I could be convinced to check that out...).  My "Super Bowl" is in 2 weeks, at Daytona.

Did some scenery work yesterday in train room, puttying up some small open spots, trimming some canal pieces, and painting some tree ligatures.

We had some wet snow yesterday afternoon, left a dusting that will be gone when 44 degrees arrives today. Wow no doctor appointments this week. That is something different.

60 and sunny.  Drove east to the closing of the Bar-b-q House.  50+ years.  Got there early.  Glad we did.  Filling up fast and parking on the streets when we left.

Good bar-b-q and fried chicken.  The best chicken pastry ever.  Also, collards, butter beans and boiled potatoes.  [more things on the buffet]  Lots of sweet ice tea.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,

Helped wife do laundry, picked up sticks outside, cooked supper, and finished season 4 of Hill Street Blues.  Weather warm and dry today with temps near 60.  Rest of the winter could be like this and it would be just fine.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 54 along the Patterson Creek cut-off, after a very blustery evening.  J-Lo? 50? She was amazing.  Commercials were a snoozer.  The Google "memory" ad was touching.  Nice to see new winner.

Did apply some foliage to the layout, now I have to empty out vacuum before Wifey finds all the loose ground foam inside.

Hi guys, Going to hit 50 today again then things will fall. Off to Krogers for some food later.

Another day and another kick in the head!

Our 13 year old 80 gallon well pressure tank has a leak in the bladder and will need to be replaced. To heavy a job for me alone. Checked it yesterday because it was cycling way to often and it was out of air pressure on the top side. Does not seem to have water in the top side so maybe just a Schrader air valve issue.   NO!!!!! Checked that today and it is leaking air into the water.   Always something!!! Bang HeadBang Head

Hello there,
Buckeye. ...glad my reference helped. What will your duties be?

Tractor running but has a pronounced whine and little pressure. Seeking advice on a tractor forum. The hydraulic pump was weak forever then quit all together.

Mrs and I spent Sat evening enjoying the Christmas tree. Needles were starting to drop so yesterday down it came.

There was a football game yesterday? I gave up on the over paid cry babies years ago. College football when PSU threw Jopa under the bus

Today was a day of appointments.

Best move on.

Prayers for those in need.

So much for 80+* on Saturday and 80* on Sunday, today is upper 50's with freeze warnings tonite and tomorrow nite. Go figure. Can't trust them varmints to predict weather.

Sent a suggesstion to MTH to do a second run on the uncataloged Cancer Awareness ES44, probably a snowball's chance in hell of being done. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Initial run was done in 2015.

Good morning from the Valley,

OSB 4x8 has been moved into the basement. The BO&W II RR is starting to come to life. The main table is 26' long. The OSB will be squared up and then on to completing the next table.

This is my third layout and I have sure learned my lesson about bench work and track clearence. My old layout would not let me run Amtrak Superliner cars or high cube double stacks. Crying I've also learned an interesting trick to knock down the "drum" noise, but I need to test the trick. Video later.

A lot more like February here today to. Cloudy and 30s. Snow by the weekend.

Yep SJ who ever came up with that saying "if it has teats or tires it will give you trouble" Should of made it if it has teats, tires or 2x4s it will give you trouble. Smile, Wink & Grin Looks like $1,500 will have us back and running. We have a big water pump, 2hp and 12 gallons a minute so it needs the big $$$$ pressure tank. Tongue Tied

Fife, I am ready for some NASCAR!

Evening folks!

Cloudy all day, temps dropping fast. Maybe some snowhizo/sleet tomorrow.

Had to go downtown (an experience in itself, and it was light rain) for county jury duty today. I had a high number so ended up being released just before lunch. There were seats for 600 in the jury room, my number was 2149. Room was not full. Lowest number was 1. They say only 20% show up. Looks to be the case. There must have been a big trial as the first group called numbered about 100 people to one courtroom.

Regards, Roy
