Just checking in.

Bright sun @ 17 degrees, going to 30 this PM. Snow melt is down to grass high. We should lose more today. Club meet tonight, a night out with the guys.

Mornin' boys.  Waking up bright and early with missle envy.  Clear and 31 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Daytona 500 today.  Nothing else on my agenda.

3 dinner trains in a row makes for a long weekend.  But they were all fun to put on, which made it go by smoothly.  Roy, I kinda look like an emporer penguin in this get- up.  The couples were great.

 Good morning ,

Outfitted the XUV 590i Gator with some wicked LED flood lights yesterday. A real PITA to do but BOY do they work nice. Wifey and I took it out through the woods after dark and it was like it was daylight with them on out there. Yes

Wow, so with your brakemans club and throwing folks off the train, is there anyone left when you return to the station? I guess it saves fuel!

North Woods, thanks for fixing Fife, picture!!

The worst Daytona 500 kinda of should of start ever!!! Give it to FOX / FOX News and the rest for making it a political event rather than a race one hour wasted on junk hipe, WTH???? Who cares about any president attending a race and if so he should shut up and stay in the stands, and they give this guy the stage??? I am done already for the year. Come On already. Where does this stuff stop??? Something is way wrong with the way this is .... JMHO If he was from the other side I could only guess how many would be going nuts about it. This is not a political side taking but rather a why does it look that way. I could care less one way or the other but hate the driving forces I see there. SoapBox

Morning folks!

Gray, supposed to be sunny, 81 today??, and then the big cold front tonight.

Signed up for the YouTube TV 2 week free trial last week. So far we like it. More sports channels, all the channels we had with DirectTV, and not the dozens of infomercial channels that came with the DTV package. Unlimited cloud DVR. There are some quirks like every time you turn it on it comes up on the home page and you have to select Live TV. But for less than half of what we are currently paying for DTV it is a great deal and compensates for the quirks. Plus it works on any smart TV, TV with a Fire Stick (or similar box like Roku, AppleTV, etc), PC, tablet, or smart phone. Can use it anywhere like when we travel. We do not have super high speed internet, something like 40 Mbps, and I ran three streams simultaneously with no issues to my sons smart TV (wifi), my PC (wifi in a weak signal spot), and the living room TV (Fire Stick with a wired Enet connection).

Sun and 25, going into the 30s today. Rain coming overnight will be better than shoveling snow. A big turnout at the club meet. Talk 0f York abounds.

Good morning all,

Complete waste of time Friday at eye doctor.  500$ down the drain as he wanted to "check" for any improvement.  Could have told him over the phone that information.  Have to go back March 6th for the laser treatment which did not work the last 2 times.  @$$h---!  Did 10 miles Saturday and had February birthdays on Sunday for the family.  Weather nicer.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Dennis - Thumbs Up

MikeC - I too have been struggling with eye docs the last 2 years. And the labs can no longer make my required lenses...

Wow Chief, another free meal!

No Doubt about it!

Yep I have the flu! :-(          Started on some TAMIFLU I had here, hope that will help. Told the daughter to keep an eye on the kids. No idea where I could of got it? They do say this years shot is only good to 58% of the strains out there. Sad

It has been years since I have had the flu. Felt fine yesterday morning and was down for the count by bed time.

Flu is different from a cold. Flu usually comes on suddenly. People who have flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:

  • fever* or feeling feverish/chills   Yep
  • cough   Yep
  • sore throat   Yep
  • runny or stuffy nose   Yep
  • muscle or body aches   Yep
  • headaches   Yep
  • fatigue (tiredness)   Yep
  • some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.   Not yet thank God.

Hello there,
In a UPMC Altoona waiting room. Mrs is having a colonoscopy.

Mom's party Friday evening was good. All the kids, grandkids and a niece. Feasted on fried chicken, and fixns topped off with an ice cream cake from DQ.

Saturday did some house stuff.

Sunday was my turn to deposit church collection. Followed that with a nice dinner for V day and a visit with Mom.

Yesterday Mrs was studying for the colonoscopy so poked around the house.

Doc just called, all good. Finish this later.

Home about 1230 after lunch at McD. Mostly napped the rest of the day as little sleep last night. The prep they gave her required the 2nd dose 6 hours before report time, 2 AM, followed by a couple of hours on the toilet

Bed soon

Prayers for those in need

Good morning all,

Had somebody look at barn door to replace it with overhead door.   Weather colder.  Quiet at work yesterday.   Traffic was smooth this AM.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Happy Birthday Buckeye. Is Roy’s count correct or did he miss some?
Chief, you can have all of our cold if you want it.
Still out of it today,
I went to bed at 101.9, high for me. Slept the best part of 11 hours. Coughed and hacked all night. Afraid I may tear my throat open where it is healing so trying to keep coughing to a minimum. Broke the fever overnight but feel like I have been kicked in the chest by a mule. Woke up at 98.1 about normal for me. Going to just lay low.
Prayers to all in need. Hope Mrs. Banks gets good results.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 43 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Might have to take a drive today.  Fixed bathroom light and exhaust fan.  After bringing in the trash can from the curb, hopefully Wifey won't expect much more from me today...

Nurse princess stopped by yesterday, and Fifey's bp 12 pts. lower than last week (but still on the high side).  Wifey cutting back our red meats for a while.  No yings and wings for the foreseeable future.

Oh.  Almost forgot. Cake Buckeye.
