88 - I wasn't direct.  Is the new layout going in the bay to the left, or the double bay to the right...?

Buckeye - I would be happy to go to just one of those places (not Indianna).  What time is the slide show?

Phish - those little Rangers are hard to find, after "cash4clunkers".

Mornin' boys.  Damp and 68 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.

Last full day with youngest princess. Sigh  We hung out together on the couch last night.  Weather permitting, may go to a rodeo today.

Made a tricky (congested area) bridge abutment out of plywood, as well as a tunnel interior out of styrofoam.  Painted both and let them dry in the shed overnight.  Look good.  More plaster cloth scenery today.

Morning Fellas

Waiting to hear from the builder regarding date and time for settlement, so not a whole lot going on. Need the date and time so I can make phone calls to have all the services setup, new furniture delivered, new appliances delivered, have the movers bring our stuff, have the mobile attic dropped off, and schedule for trucks so we can move from the apartment and move our self-store stuff... all hings on closing date and time.

DJ - that is rough. I understand your not wanting to be out of commission for 6 months, but are there concerns of additional damage if you wait?

Don - a roadtrip sounds like fun! Be safe and if you are in the area let me know.

Fife - trainroom will be in the basement. I will have to finish the room it will be going in, so that will be a while. The room to the left of the front door is the office, the room on the right is the dinning room. Above the office is Christina's room, above the dinning room is Matthew's room. Behind the single garage is the guest suite, behind that is the conservatory (formal living room), behind the front door is the foyer and great room. The kitchen is along the back of the house to the right of the great room, there is a center hall between the kitchen and butler pantry and walk-in pantry, and the butler pantry connects to the dinning room. Behind the two-car garage is the gathering room (family room) and the breakfast area is behind that next to the kitchen.

This is the floorplan for the first floor.B

Good evening all,

Brent, nice house!  Kevin, nice wheels!   Nice day today.  Did a practice walk for Saturday's 5K.  Averaged 3.66 MPH all walking.  Hope to improve some this weekend.  Quiet day at work, but got some stuff done.  Warm weather.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Late evening folks!

Was auto logged out of this site last night and did not have time until now to dig out the PW. Breakfast this am with neighbors, followed by a visit to their place until noon. Ran some errands and then son and I were joined by two friends and we did a brew pub crawl this evening. Had a great time!

Brent - nice place!

Kev - nice machine. Hope you make the deal you want.

Dennis - car batteries can be aggravating when they act up.

DJ - ouch! Good luck with the treatment you chose!

Good evening all,

Buckeye, I have been to that museum.  Most impressive.  Quiet day at work.  Boys lost in OT 2-1 to a team that pounded them last year 8-1.  Much improved and we have a goalie who will be on the national team by the end of the season.  Weather still warm.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evening all!

Warm and very windy today, so no boating. Brief rain shower around 6 pm. Son helped me this afternoon with a little garage construction project. We joined friends/neighbors (10 of us) at a local bar/restaurant for Trivia night. We took first place. Same group took 1st a couple weeks ago. So we now have $100 in gift certificates to trade for food next time. Son is learning to play golf and went out with a friend of his this morning for 18. They are going again tomorrow morning.

Mornin' boys.  Rain and 63 in the Potomac Highlands.

Dropped the youngest princess off at college, and got her all moved in to her dorm room.  85 minutes from our door to campus.  Had some good pizza in town, with the NS main right outside the door.  While we were walking around the stadium, 3 freights rolled by (could hear them, but couldn't see them).  I told her to think of Daddy whenever she hears the horns.  She said, "I already do."

TGIF My Friends!

Temps have dropped, much cooler.  Very cloudy now, no sun until tomorrow

Short drill/meeting last night, finished up with meeting Jenni with some pitza and unsweet ice tea

Still abed at 11.

Not much else, will be getting my comic books and some other assorted items out of my sister's house and sell off the comic books at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank.  Jenni has been there before and I can use the extra cash.  Lot's of vacation coming up with the Hemi Owners meet and Convention all within a week to 3 weeks away.  Will be looking hard at my "extra" train stuff as well.

Brent - Nice abode!

Kev - That looks like fun....

Fife - Yeah, I've had moments like that .....

Off to work, albeit a slow start but would love to bolt outta here a wee bit early.

Cooled off here on The North Bluff, Road trip to Cliton WI yesterday to check out that Gator.

Well it is here,
2017 John Deere XUV 590I, Power steering, power lift box, factory soft cab and windows poly roof, windshield, rear block off and window. 220 Hr. Very Clean. $8925 out the door, new would be well over 16K with the options on it. Have not got a chance to check it out too close but it made it to the dumpster and back LOL.
Took a 550 mile round trip to get it so I hope it was worth the drive.

Wife's news was not what we had hoped. Not only is her hip need to be replaced but she has spine issues as well also from Arthritis so another doctor trip to a spine doctor for that before we make a plan of attack. Sad

Now, how to pay for it! Laugh

Morning.  Weather guessers messed up our trip to Edgecombe.  No rain as forecasted until late this afternoon.  About par for them.

Buckeye.  Fake birthdays.  Probably fake travels.

KEV, jealous over Gator.

Need reports from Doug [CA], Dennis and Ray.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,

A good day.  Quiet but productive day at work.  Weather very nice.  Foyt team did better in practice than qualifying but everyone is close on speed.  Wife and I went for a walk.  May have won a small victory for tomorrow's events.  Will keep you posted.   Most important of all, got an email from my Norwegian soccer friend.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning folks!

Cloudy and high of only 88 today, but hoooomid! Maybe some showers later. Got a nice heavy rain yesterday afternoon. Needed it!

Kev - nice ride! Wouldn't mind having one of those but no place to put it - and no place to really drive it legally anyway - but still cool!

Son and I finished a little project on the garage yesterday, but I sliced my right hand ring and pinky fingers on some aluminum flashing while test fitting one of the last 3 short boards Sigh Grumpy

MikeC - Thumbs Up for small victories!

Mornin' boys.  Clearing and 58 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.

Well, our first day as "empty nesters" was spent by wife super cleaning the youngest princess' bedroom (in case we rent it out...), and by me in the train room.  The newest mountain in the corner looks like a cardboard camel hump.  We went out for wings & yeungs up in Cumberland, then stopped by the middle princess' abode for a little bit.  She has just been promoted to the OR staff at the hospital.

Spoke with Fifepup yesterday, and he's already been offered a job with Marine Max (Clearwater) after graduation from MMI.

Morning.  Cloudy and 50% chance of showers.  They don't don't know.  Especially after yesterday's mess up forecast.  Rained after dark.  2 1/4 inches.

Goofing off this AM.

Daughter's 50th birthday party this afternoon.  Man, does that make you feel old.  Pig and chicken.

Have a good one.

Wow, slow on here?

Good evening, WOW Chief, I would have thought with your farms you already have a Gator or something like it?? You should get one! Yes
Man, a child already 50,,,,,,,,,,,,I thought I was old this year when my son turned 40. Surprise
Very weird weather here for August, mid 70s when it should be 90s????
Grandson and his dad coming over tomorrow because of this cool weather to trim the lane, and around the property then I will show them the new Gator and we will open up the trails in the woods to handle the new ones larger size. The old one had no roof and is 48” wide and this one is 55” wide so need to make some clearance adjustments.
Roy, we don't think about legally here!!  Laugh

Best hit the hay, lots to do tomorrow.

Good evening all,

What a day!   Did the 5K, went out and watched 3 "real football" (that All-American sport) matches by the local high school and junior high teams.   High school boys and girls both tied in hard fought competitive matches and the junior high won going away 6-1.  Weather was perfect.  Sunny with a breeze.  Went to Mass and came home to listen to Indy car race.  TK went from 20th to 3rd for first podium for Foyt team since Sato drove for them.  Wooo-hooo!  Does not get much better than this.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

I was in the train room, and Wifey came in and critiqued.  On her suggestion, I "knocked down" the camel-hump mountain, and it now has a more natural looking peak to it.  Then I ran out of plaster wrap...DENIED!  Did paint and scenic the newly plastered area, and trimmed back the 3D backdrop, which was also too round.  Need to plant some trees.

Good evening all,

Mowed part of the yard.  Self propelled part of 30 inch mower quit again so I finished up with 21 incher.  Knocked down some weeds growing in bricks again and picked up more sticks.  Weather good.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello there,
Lots to do. Monday's back ache kept me down all day.

The rest of the week was a little of everything. A couple of house things and finally finished 2 outside projects that have been in motion for a few years.

Son plowed 3 small fields getting them ready to plant fall hay. Finished the last one for him Thursday after he went to work.

Last evening was Mrs' 45th HS reunion.  It was pretty well attended. Didn't get to bed till after midnight so today was a lazy day with a couple of naps.

Fife.....lookn forward to the video.

Kev.....nice ride.

V8....how did the guy fake the bullet in his vest??

Bed is calling, hope to back more often this week

Prayers for those in need

Evening folks!

Cloudy and strangely cool at 70-73 today. Looks like rain coming on the radar.

Finished installing the exterior brick trim I made for the basement window this afternoon. Took an hour and a half and 2 tubes of caulk. Paint is next when the caulk cures. Still have to clean up the window/aluminum frame and then reinstall the window from the inside with lotsa caulk.

Dennis - heard about that, just weird someone would do that.

Sun and 75 today.

Todays news say's the rookie cop cut his shirt with a knife. Only 21 years old. No big news here. I did help move a club member;s layout lumber to his newly purchased home. A smaller basement so he will have to down-size his new layout. Road construction everywhere around here and most roads will still be bad when the season is over. Lowest price for gas was $2.63.
