Rolesville had its own super storm.  6 1/2 inches in a couple of hours.  Roads flooded and or washed out.  US 401 North and NC 96 closed.  Both super 18 wheeler routes.  Going to babysit.  Driving 20 miles to go 8 miles away due to closed roads.

Ray, I have to take exception to the statement "Ca has had some strange people over the years". The statement is 100% accurate except "had" is past tense, we still have way to many nut jobs here. Unfortunately the vast majority are in Sacrademento. Whistling

Best of luck on the news from the oncologist. Depending on the type of cancer there are some astounding treatments available.

Dennis, that story reminds me of the bunch of kooks who were hold up in an old house in L.A. along with Patty Hurst they thought but she was not there.  Anyway they burned that house down too after tear gas.  California has had some strange people over the years.

Still waiting for my first appointment with an oncologist.  They have to run some more test to determine what kind of treatment I can tolerate.  The whole process seems to be moving too slow for my taste but it is what it is.  The bronchostomy did confirm a type of cancer.  Hope to have better news next time.

Morning.  Raining.  Had 3 1/4 inches in 24 hours.  Got to babysit granddogs and cat for several days.  Daughter and SIL going to Kerr Lake with Frankie and crew.  Glad I'm not going as rain forecasted for next 5 days.  Shut up with those three Granddaughters. Icon_e_surprised   Grandson not so bad.  bet they come home sooner than they had planned.

Dennis, always drama in LA area.

Hope all have a good one.

Good evening all,

Good to hear, Doug!  Long day at work.  Mowed at regular height tonight.  Took forever.  Loaded outdoor furniture to take to Lucas tomorrow.  Watched France smack S. Korea around in WWC.  Foyt team did lousy again in qualifying.  Wonder if situation will ever change.....   I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Afternoon from wet 70°F Southern Ohio,

It is good to have a day off.  This past week has been very busy at work.  I had two crews for three days and Thursday I had 3 and covered for the maintenance scheduler as well.  I was exhausted by yesterday evening.

I bought another car this afternoon.  It is a 2007 Honda Civic with 57,000 miles.  Nice shape and drives great.  My bride saw it and was thinking of it for the kids, but I may use it and let the kids drive my 2005 Civic with 60,000 miles.   This will be my third Civic and the first one my daughter has in Los Angeles.

Both girls have boyfriends over and they’re staying for supper and Gabriel is going to stay overnight at his mom’s.

Rich – Ever watch Graveyard Cars on Velocity?  I had two Mopars, a 71 Demon and a 72 Dart, loved ‘em.

Kev- what does the big tree removal go for in your area?

May God bless you and your families

Sun and 70s today. Finally a day without rain.

My toy train world is at a standstill. I just haven't been active with it.

Got me some southern sweet tea but no Magnolia tree to sit under.

Basement is complete. Dark blue and gray were used to paint the walls. Yes we used B&O colors! LED lighting was used in the train room. I need a ticket window for the station waiting room. Any ideas? I need someone to play the part of the bum in the waiting room. The Chief is perfect for the part.

Banks.....Congratulations to your wife in joining the Retirement Class of 2019! Everyday is Saturday.

Have a great weekend!

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 68 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  My buddy Tom is coming to Fifedom for a couple of days, and we're actually gonna do some rail-fanning for a change.  Spent all day yesterday in the train room, this time carving out a new mountain backdrop.  I'm incorporating some old N-scale factory buildings for a little forced perspective.  Not sure how it's gonna look, but it has promise.  Even got the youngest princess to outline the profile of the mountain for me.

Update on 1309 --- won't be coming out in July.  "A mechanical issue" with the brass bearings.  Also, a month's worth of track work needs to be done...  I'm still "on holiday".  For more info, check out our local radio station news section on WCBC.

Good evening all,

Banks, that is terrible what happened to the club.  Makes you wonder if any club anywhere would be willing to show their collection to the public at all.  Semi busy day at work.  Got a much needed win tonight 3-1.  Puts us in at least a tie for second.  Women's World Cup starts tomorrow.  USA!  USA! USA!  (Real football played for a world title.....)   Foyt team average after first practice (at least not dead last....)  Dennis, you do get a lot of drama in your neck of the woods.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

The world changed for the better 75 years ago today.  Thanks to those who were there.

Banks - What are the details on your Gravely?  Looks like it was made in the 70's?

Trailer back up camera - It is a Furrion that we bought at Camping World.  Cost was about $300.  It is a wireless digital system with infrared for night operation.

I mounted it just over the center marker light in the center of the trailer.  Picked power up for the camera from the marker lights.  Doing this gives me the ability to turn the camera on and off from the truck by turning the lights on and off.  The monitor is on a suction cup mount on the windshield getting power from the cigarette lighter.  I mounted it low on the windshield so it does not block forward vision.

Driveway tests looked pretty good.  I have not had a chance to tow the trailer on the highway yet.

All for now.

Hello there,  Yesterday used the 18 HP rototiller

GravelyGravely

to do  neighbor lady's garden and enough of ours to get 30 mater plants and 10 green pepper plants in. Was wetter than I like but I used potting soil to cushion the roots against the lumps.

In between I attended Mrs' final last day o' school get together at a local establishment.       Fun          Fun was had by all , Mrs is on the left.

Today we finally got the house plants out on the deck, went to a b-day party for one of Mrs` students  and celebrated her retirement with a nice meal at a fancy (to us) restaurant.

Tomorrow wackining trimming  trees and  bushes with a dermatologist visit thrown in.

Best try to sleep.

Prayers for those in need

Happy birthy Chief.  You 29 again?

Got the back up camera installed on the trailer yesterday.  Need to tackle a plumbing modification next.  I want to put in a diverter valve between the water tank and pump to make it easier to winterize.

I'm trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on a SF E6 or shop around for a SF F3 with TMMC or Legacy.

All for now.

Chief, sent you an HB on facebook!!!  Cake

Paid the property taxes on Monday, they went down $800.00 Big Smile on the good side but,,,,,,,,,, gas tax, car plates, beer and cigs all went up. But next year I can smoke weed if I want as long as the state gets their share. Whistling

Got a quote today from a Tree guy I used several years ago because I need to drop 3 dead trees and trim 3 live trees. All are 60 to 70 foot tall so kind out of my comfort-zone and too close to the house. Just got to wait for the ground to dry up where he can bring in the 50 foot bucket truck without sinking into the yard. All I want is for it on the ground and I will go from there. Getting toooo old for this crap but seems if I don't do it,,,it don't get done. Life goes on!  Tongue Tied

Happy Birthday, Chief!!

Hot Wheels show was a great time, met some great people and we were placed at the front near the entrance.  Lots of great comments, even from the staff.  Throughly enjoyable.  Next year we take both cars, her 73 Charger SE 440 and the convertible.

Recital afterwards was fun, though I did fall asleep for 1 set, Jenni and I were working with 5 hours sleep with travel, eating and car set up time.  Was up at 6, home at 1228 AM.....long day.

roadrunner is at my buddy's shop for the trunk floor, it is completely rusted through.  This is the last piece of the puzzle for the car, everything else has pretty much been repaired or replaced, body wise.  Should be ready for the next show, with His and Hers MoPars on the 23rd of June.

Looking at some down time the next couple of weekends, may get some train time in at night if it's not too hot up there.

Just checking in, tonight is Incident Management Class 400, tonight, Thursday night and all day Saturday.  Wednesday is County Meeting.  Maybe an early Friday, cuz of class on Saturday.

Check back when I can
