Morning team!
Another partly sunny day. 80's on tap. Rain expected this weekend.
Got second coat of paint done. Looks like it covered well, so will work on reinstalling the wainscotting and trim later today. Not much else accomplished yesterday. Sat out on back porch til dark enjoying the cool breezes.
Foot doc appt this morning.
Regards, Roy
Good evening all,
Very quiet day at work. We tied 3-3 tonight. Norway got hosed on a bogus PK call for the home team and lost 2-1. Weather supposed to cool off. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Buckeye RiveterKevin...I didn't understand everything your wrote. Too many big words such as "a, or, and, the, etc." But your smiling face says you received good news at the doctor. Congratulations!
Kev - ditto for the good news!
Partly sunny and the way below normal temps continue. Spent the evening on the back porch consuming adult beverages.
Got more work done on the trim and panel for my dressing area. Was removed for the plumbing repair last Nov. Got a coat of paint on. Was going to spray it and it started to rain, so rolled and back brushed. Came out good. Second coat today.
Busy day. Rain on the way. Not suppose to be as intensive as last weekend. Roads still washed out in the area including US 401 north of bypass. Will be end of July before reopening. Big traffic problem.
Have a good one.

Good morning all,
Forgot to post last night. Maybe celebrated too much from US World Cup win 13-0!!! USA USA USA. Not all games will be that easy but it was fun watching. Semi-busy at work yesterday. Weather was good. Norway plays France today and I have a match tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.

Buckeye - I've been there before. Place is getting overgrown, as is the Curve itself. Still, it's a cool place to visit. I like Tunnels Park, because there are a multitude of photo angles to use.

This morning we have a kid missing on the Kokosing River. He went under yesterday afternoon. The river has some mean rapids when running full.
Off to work today at my part time job. Easy money. All I do is convince engineering firms to add us to their team for multi-million dollar projects. I just drop a few names from the forum, i.e., Chief and they promptly sign on the bottom line.
See you later.

Hi,
Man this software sucks!!!
Will try again??
fife...I always enjoy the museum at Altoona, the Curve and the tunnels. I have seen on Google Maps a back road to the east end of the tunnel. Where you there, too?
Morning. Home for a visit. Then back to Daughter's untill noon. Sun suppose to come out. Will mow this afternoon.
Very quiet day at work. One of the nicer coworkers came back from maternity leave. Good to see her back. Practice went well with junior high kids. Rainy this AM but better in the afternoon. I hope everyone has a good day.
Dougnotta - that is good news.
I had an appointment with an endoscope this morning. Spent yesterday prepping, and am spending a quiet afternoon as the effects of the 'la la land juce' they knocked me out with this morning wear off. Everything came through just fine. Technological advancements since then are impressive - I got the results as soon as I woke up this time. Last time, it took a week or so for the results to show up. I got a gold star from the doctor, too. She said that I had the best prep of all the patients she saw today.
About all for now.
After all the storms yesterday (we got around 2 inches of rain in 30 min) woke up to mid-60's this am and maybe a high today of 82! We will take it. Sat was a low misery index high hoomidity 95-96.
Storms took out power to over 250,000, one of which was our daughters place. They were going to come over and stay with us but power came back on around 9:45 pm. Local utility has a nice website where you can see where the outages are, how many accounts are affected, and an estimated "up" time. Since they live in a very high density area of condos and apts, their area got priority over the small outages which were predicted to be repaired by tonight.
Got my Olsens Toy Train Parts database CD of drawings (mech and elec diagrams) and parts lists installed and working on my PC. Now I have all the stuff that is on their website on my PC. Happy about that.
Don B, condolences for your F.I.L. Rest in peace.

Mornin' boys. Rain and 61 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Taking the youngest princess for her Learner's Permit today, down in Romney.
Had a nice visit with my buddy, Tom, all weekend. Friday, we toured Altoona, including the Railroader's Museum, Horseshoe Curve, and Gallitzin Tunnel. We saw the NS Executive F's (btw, they dropped the 4 numberals and are now 3-digit). We checked out Full Steam Ahead train store (mainly HO/N), and then Neeley's (all 3-rail ).
Saturday we headed to Winchester, meaning we headed to Mario's Trains. While there, a CSX train rumbled past the store, which added to the fun. Our journey took us past the Winchester & Western (Gore, VA) shop, and the Potomac Eagle RR (Romney, WV). Made some new acquaintances.... Returned home to steaks on the grill, prepared by my lovely wife. Spent rest of the evening watching trains on youtube tv.
Sunday was spent in the train room, where I "planted" the new BUSCH trees I purchased, and tinkered with my postwar steamers. Tom asked if I'd heard from Brent....
Good Evening,
Great news Doug, congadulations!
Wow, both the Chief and Roy getting hit with a lot of water. Fortunately it sounds like both have been able to cope so far.
We got some really warm weather today, been a long time. And its kinda nice. But may change fast according to the forecasters.
Had kinda blah day today didn't do much, and wasn't even any races today. Did watch a Indy race, one of the pit crew got hit, but is OK.
Have FiL's grave site service on Friday, will have military honors. Then the following Monday going to visit my brother. He has moved to Yearington, NV, so see if I can find it. From what I know its in the middle of the desert, really of the grid.
Banks, good luck with your test, doesn't sound like fun.
Take Care all and Stay Healthy !

Ray......prayers for a good outcome.
Charlie your boys are growing into fine young men. Great experience.
8N.........the Gravely in the picture is a 76. Powered by a 16hp twin cylinder Onan. I mistakenly said 18hp in the original post. It is one of several we have, three that run.
Busy goin to Dr visits an PT. Not sure how much that's helping. Uro doc wants to do a cystoscopey to be sure things are good. Scheduled for the 28th.
Friday evening went to an auction selling plants trees and shrubs. Came home with nothing as things sold for more than I priced locally.
Son plowed remaining garden for sweet corn. Sarurday I spent an hour or so working it. Was still to wet. Then a couple of hours working on the pasture fence, almost done with it. Capped the day at daughters 41st Birthday party. Her follow up with oncologist Friday was good.
Today was a lazy day. Mass, breakfast and some flea shopping. Scored a set of C6 bubble lights cheap,, half of what I've seen them sell for.
A nice long nap this PM, probably why I'm still awake. Then some harrowing of the garden with the Oliver. Now a once over with the tiller and ready to plant sweet corn. Best try to sleep Prayers for those in need

Rainy day. Watched England hold off Scotland 2-1. Watched F-1 race. No commercials during race. Saw where US Men got embarassed in a friendly 3-0. Ugh Ugh Ugh. I hope everyone has a good day.
Afternoon folks!
Drying out from a screaming storm/rain/wind that just came through. Flooded the patio and garage. Squeegeed out the garage. Winds took off a tall chimney (facade)/flue structure off an apartment building neighboring our daughters building.
I am also drying out from the big 28th bday pool party/dinner we held last night for our daughter. Her friends and our neighbor friends all showed up. The party was also a chance for several folks to meet her fiancé. Did not get wrapped up until about 1 am.
Ray - prayers for your results/ a good path forward.
Dougsnotta - great news! Prayers continue
Dougnotta - I'll have the LAGOON, please.
Fife, Saw this on the news and immediately thought of you.

Made national news. Local weather guesser on biggie
station doesn't know where Rolesville is on the map.
Kept saying east of Wake Forest. Bet she does now
after a sharp message to her producer friend that lives
in Rolesville. Roads are still washed out [local, state
and US routes] and will be for days or more. Came
home from daughter's about 10 miles shorter. [had to
drive 25 miles to go to 8 as usual]. Figured road was
flat and not washed out. Was right. Need a hotdog fix. Got a political brunch in Raleigh at noon. Then back to
babysitting. Nothing until tomorrow evening at 5.
Watch a lot of TV there as nothing to do. Probably run
back and forth to the house some.More rain forecasted.
Have a great week.
Chief - Does Tracker Boats make arks...?
Dougnotta - happy to hear your latest results.
SPMan - continued good wishes for your treatment.
A good day. Norway won in WWC 3-0. Delivered outdoor furniture to Lucas. Went to art museum in Terre Haute and saw an Edward Hopper painting. Got Lucas to go to Mass with us there. Had nice supper with him as well. TK got a 16th at Texas from a 22nd starting spot. Weather was good. I hope everyone has a good day.
Dougda, glad you had some good news. Thanks for the encouragement about the treatments for me. I'll be grateful for whatever extra time I can get.
