Good Evening
8 Ntruck - Sure hope everything goes well for you tomorrow.
Kev - I definetly think it was worth the wait, looks really great! Good Choice.
I just had to share this with you guys, maybe its just small city culture, but certainly not anything I would see at home!
Today my brother and I planned on assembling a couple Closet Organizer Kits, (those made from sawdust and shelf paper). Got the first one together, didn't have the cardboard backing in place, and tried to move it. It fell apart and broke the cams out of the panels. OK, been here before, went to the hardware store for some corner braces to secure the shelves. And Then ...... On the way back stopped at McD's, just as the clerk gave us the food, heard a large "pop", then a "whish". (There was a car-wash across the street thought that was where the noise was from") Then the steam started coming out from under the hood. Of course we are in the El Camino. I get the car started again, and was able to get out of the drive thru line, and in the parking lot. Checked, and sure enough a radiator hose ruptured. So I was trying to think if there was a garage nearby, my brother (Ron), said he thought there was one on Main St.. As his house was on the way decided to drop him off, I would go to the garage and call him let him know where I was. As I drove down Main looking for garage and watching the temp gauge, found garage, but it was boarded up. Continued on ended up by the Hdwe store, and car was Hot approaching 260, pulled into a vacant lot, and shut it down. Now where to get water, and find garage?? Called Ron, told him where I was, he gave me the name of another place. He was coming to where I was, and I was going to call this other garage. Called them but they were booked solid for 2 weeks, they gave me another name. THEN I thought about this Chevrolet Dealer I saw earlier. Got the number called them, talked with Service Manager and he said they could take care of it immediately IF he could find the hose. (At the time didn't know which hose it was.) Then he asked where I was, I told him right across the street from Hdwe store, he said I know exactly where you are, " I will come over and check it out for you" I couldn't believe it! He was going to leave the dealership (Wild West Chevrolet), and come to me! About this time Ron pulled up, we checked the hoses and the TOP radiator host bursted. Ron suggested we call O'Reillys Auto Parts and see if they have one. He did so and they DID! Cost $10.67. A couple of minutes later 2 guys pulled up from the dealership, they checked it and agreed. They said it would take about 5 minutes to repair if they had the hose. I told them Ron found one! They said they didn't have the tools with them and needed to go back to the shop to get them. Ron then went to O'Reillys get the hose and a couple gallons of Anti-Freeze. 15 minutes they were all back, hose was put on, anti-freeze added, and all set to go! (They didn't want to charge me anything, but I gave them each some cash for their time. CANT BELIEVE HOW LUCKY I WAS. Then the irony of it all was the Chevy dealership was only about a mile from the McD's, the Hdwe store I drove to was about 3 miles opposite direction. The O'Reilys was next door to the Chevy dealership, and on the other side of the dealership is NAPA Auto Parts. But just so lucky it didn't happen on the way here or way back, that they even had a radiator hose for a 87 El Camino here, still can't believe it all went down as good as it did. All that in less than an hour.Thought some of you would get a chuckle, we did go out for dinner at one of the Casinos, but my luck didn't continue, but I don't mind.Tomorrow will finish the Organizers.Take care All !!
Don
Hello there,
nother day of off and on cloud bursts. In between them and a skin doc appointment I trimmed the smaller of my two large pine trees. Now to clean up the mess and have another bon fire. Only a few more shrubs to go.
Kev.......nice train set.
8N.........good luck tomorrow. Recently I heard that in Pittsburgh they are breaking up blockages with ultrasound, similar to kidney stones, instead of stints.
Best get to sleep.
Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,
USA USA USA!!!! US Women defeat the Swedes in that "all American" sport 2-0 today!!! Got finished mowing yard today. Quiet day at work. On vacation until July 8! Leave for TCA convention tomorrow. Grandson's team won another baseball game. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Spent the day lounging around the cardiac cath lab today. Going to take another step into the medical rabbit hole now. I've got one blocked at 60% and two blocked at 20%. They are sending me to the next larger city about 70 miles east for another heart cath tomorrow. This place has the capability of installing stints. The free hair cut 'down there' - mine was a Mowhawk. They prepped both sides so there would be an alternate sight if needed.
Banks - I got the leg entry today. They tell me that tomorrow will probably be an arm entry. I've caught up with you!
Kev - you hit the nail on the head about the insurance companies. They care more about shareholders than customers.
On the train front, I've got to get some items ordered for my grand nephew's birthday in a couple of weeks.
About all for now.
Well some train news here.
Well after 16 months and 16 days My new Lionel BNSF Tier 4 RTR set shipped from Charles Ro supply and I got it today. I just pulled the Tier 4 ET44C4 diesel locomotive out to run but it was nice to see the cars that came with the set are scale cars but I just wanted a first look so I put it behind the consist I pull with the LionChief plus GP20. This engine is too light for it's size and needs some weight for larger consists but for a starter set not bad.

Good Morning,
Youse guys need to stop playing around with those bears, they could slap you all the way into tomorrow!
Here in Yerington, NV. Spending week with younger brother. He has COPD pretty bad and limited with various activities. So been helping him out with a bunch of chores and small tasks. Probably leave here Saturday for home. He just moved here and its a small city, but pleasant. A bit rural 60 miles to any city with more than two gas stations. But has everything one would need.A belated BD wish to SJAnd good deal for RT with the $30 find !!Better get going and get some breakfast, have a couple of closet organizers to build.BTW, drove El Camino up here, changed oil, filled with gas, and left. 400 miles clear sailing, felt real good!Later, Take care all.
Chief - That's the bear we had! Man, he gets around...
Got an inch of rain over night that we don't need. Cloudy and cool today with a trip to Krogers.
Mike I never thought about pine neddles and gutter gards but I can see where that could happen. We have no pine trees here.
The Lionel Tier 4 set shows it will get here today.
Evening folks. Checking in. Nice day after some showers. Hoomid+...
Regards, Roy
Busy dodging heavy rains followed by sun and muggy. Really wishing for a week of hay making weather. Burnt the brush pile Monday PM after dealing with some Mom issues. Grandson helped onTuesday to build a new one. Appontment this AM and rain of and on all PM. Did some errands hopeing for decent weather tomorrow.
8N........Good luck with the Cath. I've had 2. No fun. through the wrist is way better than the thigh. Had to lay flat in my back with a weight on the wound for 8 hours afterward. First one was good, 2nd one revealed three 30% blockages that are under scrutiny. My health started down hill at 50, of a cliff at 60.
RT.....good deal on the trains. Fleabay train prices are usually soft in the summer
Bed is calling
Very busy day at work. Got a lot done. Taxpayers got their money's worth from me today plus a bous. Kevin, I did not mention I have gutter guards and normally they do a good job, but it has been so wet that stuff does not dry out enough to get blown off by the wind. First time in 20 years I had to clean all the gutters..... Got about a third of yard mowed before rain hit. Cancelled practice. Watched Jane the Virgin. Fairly good episode. I hope everyone has a good day.
God bless 8N,
Good luck, with all of this! The INS people are not there to help you,,,, but to make MONEY for them.
Looks as if the Tier 4 Lionel set will show tomorrow. Hope to get it set up and have a video for you guys soon.
Going further down the medical rabbit hole. Today's stress test begat tomorrow's heart cath. Oh boy! I can hardley wait for that adventure. At least that should provide some difinitive answers. Of course the insurance company seems to be reluctant to approve the procedure.
Enough ranting. Sorry. Hope you all had better days.
All for now.
Sun and 80 today, oh yes rain by tomorrow morning.
Well with BD and Fathers day and a class reunion(just a bunch of old people showed up) we have ate out 3 times in less than a week. Add an ice cream cake to that and it's time to back off some.

Morning. Hot and humid. Wifey having Garden Club Board for lunch. Got to get out of here!!!!
Bears can be something.
At the farm and deer feeder.
Look hard, will see biggie trying to knock over feeder.
Taken at night during big rain storm why poor quality.
Later.
Morning 5 days of rain on the way. All grass is cut!
MikeC, Get gutter guards. We put them on this house when we built it 13 years ago and I have never cleaned a gutter or had a plug. Worth every cent. And we got a lot of big trees right on the place.
8N sounds good so far! Maybe just hit your re-set button?
Nice haul RT!!!!
Best take my walk to the lane gate and open it up.
Mornin' boys. Cloudy & 71 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. More painting today. New bird-feeder up.
Received 2 new Seasons Bay wagons from the oldest Princess. For Dept 56, the figures in this series are ideal for O gauge layouts.
For Father's Day, the other princesses took us to the fairgrounds to see the Diamond J Rodeo. Although it rained at first, the show was exciting, and Ms. Kelly discovered her redneck side. Fun time with the fam.
Happy Hump Day!! Been Stupid busy as of late.....Incident Command Meeting last night went ok, then found out I'm part of the "tracking" team, or accountability officer for the Tri-Athalon.....wait, what? Which means on a SUNDAY (Sept 7th), I have to be up at 0530 for this.....and I HATE getting up before 0900......sigh...ok, I guess....Bought a Blu-Ray player for the house. tried to avoid it, but my PS3 is at the parents house and there is no DVD player at my house. Jenni has some DVDs she wants to see plus some we want to see in my collection....$70 later.....If there is no softball tonight, this will be the project for the evening. Rained yesterday and last night, I live in New Jersey, not Seattle.....enough with the rain, already!!! Supposed to clear by Friday, hopefully it will be clear for Sunday, we have a car show in Lansdale, PA.....STILL have to pick up the car (I had the trunk floor replaced after 49 years of being totally rusted out), just haven't had time. Maybe tonight......hopefully. Jenni will be running to my house later to install the plugs in her Charger and hope this dead miss in the engine is gone. Otherwise this will be a Friday night thrash.....
Not much on the train front, turns out Jenni's Dad is a BIG Lionel fan.....I left him my 2019 Volume 1 Lionel catalog for his perusal.....lol....and my K-Line GG1 I left for an upgrade at the Train Doctor almost a year and a half ago, is ready for pick up at $192, and I paid $100.....
RT - NICE pick up!!
Hope to catch up and check in more, just with work and the commute, just too much fun as of late....
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
RT - that is a pretty good pick you got at that thrift store! I'm kind of looking around for some warbonnet F3's. I'm thinking I want something with TMMC or Legacy.
Saw the cardiologist today. I don't have a name on my ailment yet, but the next steps will be a stress test tomorrow then the installation of a 30 day heart monitor. If that won't generate enough data for a diagnosis, I don't know what will. The good news is that it seems to be a regulation issue and I am not in immanant danger of blowing anything up - in my engineer think, the pump itself is good, but there is something wrong with the controls.
cheapclassics gutters - over hour and a half - Ugh Ugh Ugh.
MikeC - with ya on that...
Long day at work. Longer night at home. Thought I had a few maple starts in one corner of a gutter. Turns out all the gutters had pods or pine needles and one of the gutters had some fasteners come loose at one end. Took over hour and a half to get everything cleared out and re-attached. Ugh Ugh Ugh. Weather was dry for now today, but could get messy again. I hope everyone has a good day.
Evening folks!
Some rain. Normal temps as we had for the 1st day of summer Friday (SJ!!!)
RT - great haul and good news re Donna! Take care of yourself too!
Fife - noooo, not the bird feeder!
Kev - I always enjoy watching the yard guy on the zero turn
Continued prayers for Ray and Dennis. Thanks DonB for the report on Ray.
Here is what I got for $30 today at our local S.P.C.A. thrift store

Kevin I'm like you, the closest hobby shop is probably about 3 hours away. I guess I'm just happy getting stuff off Ebay. I normally don't buy new anyway. If I do it's because they have it in stock. I just don't like the idea of BTO and having to wait anywhere from a year to 3 years ( I have heard some say after 3 years they finally got it ) I want to buy the new NYC FT-units with LionChief+ 2.0 as I will be able to use my TMCC or legacy lite controller to operate it. It also has a Power B-unit you can get.
But I'm waiting for them to come in and hear some personal reviews on them.
Good morning, looks like today will be dry so I can finish the grass before tomorrow's rain. I have 2 hours on the new mower and am getting used to the zero turn operation now. I only have one section leftto cut to finish the lawn. That thing is a grass cutting monster!
Dennis, I also have a SKS with 1,000 rounds of ammo I will never use. I only have a few guns and most are plinkers. I got the SKS from my boy when he needed some money. He is waiting for me to die to get it back.
RT, the problem for me is There are NO LHS anywhere close to here so I got to order on-line.
Fife she doing better and better all the time. Not in leap and bounds but little by little ( should say tiny bit by tiny bit) When therapy ended for her last year she could lift a 2LB weight with her left hand, she is now up to the 6LB weight. :) ahe keeps working with it. She uses a 4 wheel walker when we go out in town and a cane when she is here in the house, But she will ask me at least twice a week where did I leave my cane? LOL
Mornin' boys. Damp and 68 along 68. Who knew? I hope we get a break in the weather to go to the bull riding show at the County fair this evening.
Spending this week painting the family room. Fun.
rt - Nice win on the 2020 et al. Let's try to stay out of the hospital. How is your wife progressing?
Got Encore ready for trip. Nothing but rain here. Got caught up on Izombie. Story line makes a little more sense. No practice tonight. Watched end of Norway's win over S. Korea. I hope everyone has a good day.
