Evening all, been a while since I have posted. Not to much going on here, still slowly but surely. Had a delay this past weekend, I had a kidney infection and Friday I had royal you know what going on from both ends. I ended up in the hospital until yesterday afternoon. Doing better now.
I did place a bid on a set of trains on thursday evening, just a stupid bid that shouldn't of won but I did win it while I was in the hospital lol. It was a 2020, 6014X Baby Ruth boxcar, 6465 Sunoco dual dome tank car, and a 6520 search light car, After adding shipping I was still a shade or two below $99. ( oh it appears to be a 2020W tender with the engine. )
Otherwise basically same oh same oh around here. Hope all are doing well, Prayers for those in need.

Kevin glad your finally getting it, but that's just one of the reasons I will not preorder/built to order items.
In my opion one of the fastest way to put hobby shops back in business would be for folks to refuse to do BTO's, but I'm sure there is problems with hobby shops having to stock everything. I know that one hobby shop not around anymore use to complain when Lionel distribators would force items on them, and they had to take them or not get anything. ( ie the nascar sets that wouldn't sell )
Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 16 months and 15 days,,,guess what???
Rob,, where are you??????
KEVIN MYERS 1 FedEx Home Delivery package(s). This shipment is scheduled to be sent on 06/17/2019.
The Tier 4 set may be finding it's way here!!!
Wife and my passports showed up in the last few days. Now,,,,,where to go????

Hello there, Belated Happy Father's Day. Dennis...condolences.
Ray....prayers for a good outcome. Keep us posted. We're here for you
nother busy weekend. Started Friday evening. First time in my memory Mrs was speechless as she was surprised by 70+ coworkers, friends and family at her retirement party. A great time was had by all.
Afterwards a friend joined us for a drink at a local establishment..
Saturday morning bought a few more flowers to plant, gave the yard a lick and a promise with son's zero turn before heading to the drags..Grandson did well again with a 1st and 2nd place. He was also in the "bracket class" on his old machine. All sizes with starts adjusted per an ET you give them. If you run faster than that you lose even if you get there 1st.
22 riders in the class he was one of 3 with only 1 loss when racing ceased at midnight due to the local noise ordinance. They will finish the class at the next race. In the money classes they divide the purse among those remaining
Son is still trying to figure out the bike he put together He went out early.
Got to bed at 230. No Father's Day activities today. 7AM Mass was a struggle, breakfast and a short nap. Then it was my turn to deposit the collection.
Followed that with a graduation party, a visit with Mom ,a few groceries and homemade pitza. I was wupped and hit the bed at 815, didn't get up til 9.
Not sure what today will bring. Hoping to burn the latest brush pile between the predicted rain showers. Prayers for those in need. PS. the bull from last weekend got banded yesterday while I wasn't around.

Good Afternoon from overcast 74°F Southern Ohio,
Another busy weekend. Trying to keep the grass cut and just made it this past Saturday before the rains started again. Friday picked up grandson from Church Camp where he had a great time, then Saturday had a Funeral for a friend from Church, than Vigil Mass. Sunday had my bride driving the youngest to Church camp, Masses, and then in the afternoon the sky opened and it poured 2 ¼ inches of rain in 20 minutes, with 60 mph gusts of wind. The road at the end of the drive was flooded, and lots of debris in the yard but no trees fell.
No much happened on the layout over the weekend. Starting to figure where to road ways are going to go, when that is done, final placement of crossing gates and signals.
Lunch time over and best get to work.
May God bless you and your families
Jim
Prayers for Dennis. Special prayers for Ray.
Hot and humid is back. Going out to mow and then County Commissioners followed by Mayors' Assoc. [far end of the county, long drive home]. Wouldn't go but driving for buddy Mayor who has Parkinson's thanks to Agent Orange.
Happy Birthday SJ.
Have a good one.

Aloha. Sure is misty and cold in the city this morning. I had a busy weekend fixing up the youngest's bedroom as his birthday gift - this involved he and the bride going out to stores and bringing things home for me to assemble, move or hang. In addition to painting the room. All done now and celebrated Fathers Day by going to the Illinois Railway Museum - rode an interurban and streetcar and followed Frisco 1630 around. It was very fun. 8n, hope you and the missus are feeling better soon.Dennis, my condolences on the loss of your friend!MikeC, that was some good football!

Good morning,
Dennis, so sorry about friend. If you got to go, going in your sleep sounds like the way.
Prayers also for SPRay,
Shake and Bake, glad they got the funeral done and it was a nice service. Yerington sounds interesting.
Fife, we bring everything with feed inside over night now because of the coons and other cridders. No Bears on The North Bluff, thank God for that!
Saturday we had the cook out with the rain. Got 2" by Sunday morning.
up for V8Vega and SPMan.
The bear ate my bird feeder for Father's Day...
Good Evening,
Kev, I love that lawn mower! I could turn it into a revenue center, with 2.5 swipes I could easily do my lawn and both neighbors!
I talked with Ray S. yesterday, He isn't doing real good, he's home in between Dr. appts.. He did say he has a small spot of cancer on his lung, and found some fluid as well. He will find what the recommended treatment will be today. Unfortunately he does not have a large support group. Prayers would surely help.Friday we had the funeral for Kay's dad, it was very respectfully, and included full military honors. Very moving. We took Kays Mom back to the cemetery on Saturday to see the actual grave site. Everyone seemed very pleased! The cemetery is very beautiful! And, has a tremendous memorial for Medal of Honor Recipients.Today was very nice, Chris came over and grilled dinner for us and grandma, this morning I washed and played around with the El Camino. Enjoyed the day. This morning (Mon), I'm on my way to Yerington Nevada, to visit my brother for a few days. He and SIL moved there about two weeks ago. To see where it is on a map, you have to have a pretty big map. From what I understand Yerington is a 1 horse town, and 60+ miles to any other town. Completely isolated! This will be a real interesting trip!I hope everyone had a great Father's Day!
Take care all and be safe!
Don
Dennis - sorry about your friend - prayers
8n - glad you are feeling better!
Storms here this afternoon followed by the arrival of the kids, grilling, plus my son wanting to watch the end of the US Open. had some great steaks, baked taters, and salad for dinner. Fun with the family to cap the day.
Got the wainscot panel and trim installed. Final paint touch up. Glad that is done. That project had lingered since Dec....
Regards, Roy
V8- condolances for your friend.
DDG, V8 - Yup, it will be a PITA, but I really like the green side of the grass. Will spend tomorrow setting up the necessary appointments, then start re-planning summer activities around them. I'm actually feeling better today. Probably 'cause the beta blockers have stablizied at a theriputic level.
On the bright side, the trailer and van are packed for the summer plans.
All for now.
Good evening all,
Rainy most of the day. Watched the US women advance to round of 16 with win over Chile 3-0. Lucas showed up for his stopover on the way to see his daughter. Cleared stuff out of lean-to so there is more room for Encore. Brought down stuff for trip to TCA Convention. Cleaned up a bunch of paperwork that was lying around. Got sump pump out to drain the crawl space and in essence the entire yard. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Happy Father's Day
Morning folks!
Happy Fathers Day!
Storms rolled through this morning around 4:30 am, ugh, finally got back to sleep and rolled outta bed around 8:30.....sprinkles and more rain later today.
Watchin the NASCAR truck race, Xfinity later today
Son is gonna grill us some steaks this evening!
8n - prayers
Good morning all !
Happy Dad's Day.
8n, Yes it is a pain to deal with medical issues but eight years ago, the day after Father's Day, the EMT's and ER staff saved my bacon. I wasn't even aware that I was having one, I thought it was a heat related issue from doing some strenuos yard work. I am currently the proud owner of a stent and an ICD. The heart attack resulted in me being classified as having "class C" heart failure, and all the "stuff" that comes with it. It can be a real PITA but it can help to keep you on the green side of the sod.
My FM is fixed, plan on picking it up tomorrow or Tuesday. Had to replace top and bottom boards which did require some updating of it's wiring. The newer PS1 boards have plug in boards but mine was so old that everything was hard wired.
Time to get a move on.
Later all.

Happy Father's Day. Pretty day in NC. Off ot go eat with the gang.
Happy Father's Day boys. Overcast & 68 along the Alleghany front range; gonna be a rainy one. Visited my folks yesterday, which turned out beautiful, to get that out of the way. Came home, ate dinner, and finished up that backdrop, and let it dry overnight. When I stood it up, only minimal material dribbled down.
Y'all have a pleasant one.
Lots to report. Friday showed how to recover from Thursday's disaster (we hope). Otherwise pretty quiet. Mowed Friday night. Figured out a better way to use 30 inch mower. Just disengage and re-engage the blade after every back and forth pass in the yard. Kind of self dumps the build up so it does not bog down so much. Watched the Green Book afterward. Very good movie. Saturday I swept the house, went to Mass, went to Wings and Rings after church and then saw Rocketman. Not quite what I expected but a good flick. NOT for kids. Movie theater stopped the film right when the credits rolled to get people to safe area. Lots of rain and storms. We are ok. Baseball game cancelled for Sunday. I skipped the 5K today due to rain as well. I hope everyone has a good day and does their patriotic duty of watching the US Women play Chile in that "all-American" sport of "real football" on Fox on Sunday.
Kev - that is an impressive new toy you just got. Nothing like a new mower to make mowing fun again.
My wife and I are getting frustrated with the medical system. Seems we both have been having a string of things that require us to enter the system. This is delaying our summer plans. We got through our scheduled activities OK, then my wife took a fall, banging up a knee. That is under control. Was my turn next. I was feeling odd and dizzy late Friday afternoon, so we went to the emergency room. They hooked me up to the monitors, observed for a while, administered a beta blocker, observed some more, and sent me home with instructions to "get thee to a cartiologist next week!" So, instead of proceeding with our summer plans, we will re-enter the maze of the medical system. Not thrilled about this, but got to get things figured out.
No train news at the moment.
67 and steady rain on the North Bluff above Marseilles IL. Grass will be growing so I can use the new mower.
Cook out party today at daughter's other side's. Should be fun and a good day to stay away from Marseilles with 10,000+ tattooed bikers pretending to be patriotic,, drinking and running all over the town for the 16th Freedom Run.
Rain amounted to nothing last night but they have it in all day and is raining now.
Roy,,toys,,,Never,,,,That is a tool as I told wifey!
Afternoon folks!
Partly sunny and 92/94 today with lotsa hoomidity...
Waffles with the ms and future SIL to kick off the Father's Day weekend. Daughter works on Sat's.
Project this morning to replace a malfunctioning toilet fill valve. Some difficulty dealing with a 42 yr old cutoff valve. May have to replace it. PITA as it is in a tight spot...
Kev - all the good toys eh?
Fife - layout and daughters college visit!
Mornin' boys. Overcast and 61 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. A bit of a nothing-burger week. Have slowly been putting together a 3D backdrop for the Cumberland section of the train room. It's shaping up nicely, probably due to me taking my time. In the past, I'd be in a slap it up there and be done with it mindset. Using WS course turf for the "forest", with great results.
Did yardwork yesterday, and the lawn looks great, due partly from all the rain, and partly from all the little bags of Dollar General grass seed I spread before each snow event. It worked.
The girls attended a orientation for the youngest princess's college, on Wednesday. She's been so apprehensive about college, but this trip seemed to calm her down. Doesn't hurt that her big sister went with her to show her the ropes.
Mineral County Fair is this week, and I'd like to go the bull riding/barrell racing show on Tuesday. Life in the country...
Good morning. Cooler in NC. Back to 90's tomorrow.
KEV, good looking equipment.
Have a good day.
Here is the new yard tool that they delivered today. Should do it! Too bad I don't need to cut the grass yet!!
A day with the kids was had as well today.
sir james IWatching Animal House as I type.
Ah - reliving your younger days!
Mostly sun today, high of 92. 94 and hoomid tomorrow. We were able to enjoy another evening on the back porch, with adult beverages
Son and I planted some sod and sod plugs this morning. In the front yard where the neighbors contractor ran a small tractor over my lawn, killing the grass. The contractors attempt to repair the damage put meaning to sub par. So we took over.
Got the wainscot panel and trim fitted yesterday, but need to work on the corner 'fitter' pieces.
Banks - progress!
BTW - we drove to a store about 5 mi south of us and the number of downed trees from last weekends storm was staggering...
Watching Animal House as I type. Sun today and 70s. Yesterday however was damp and cold. Veggie plants are in the ground with some Cherry tomatoes showing. Their kinda hard to make BLTs with though.

Hello there,
Doug.....congas on the anniversary. Happy Birthday to your son and Mrs Laz.
Kev.......that's quite a story. Their's been some similar issues here.
More PT and Doc visits. Arm is way better. Going to wean off of PT.
Gastro doc thinks my stomach doesn't empty fast enough causing my issues. Test scheduled.
Spent 4.5 hours Monday mowing cemetery for son.
Tuesday was Ortho doc and an appointment with Mrs.
Tryed a couple times to work the garden, it was wetter than I thought. Yesterday after Gastro doc I spent the rest of the day running tiller over garden several times +/- 1/4 acre. Then Mrs drove Gravely while I ran the one row horse drawn corn planter behind it. Planted the whole thing in sweet corn. Rescued that 40 some years ago from FIL's barn when he tore it down.
Today was a lazy day. Mrs and I both lunched with former coworkers at different places.
A tree guy did show up and gave me a $500 quote to cut the big ash tree close the house . Be here mid July to get it on the ground Best try to sleep.
Prayers for those in need
Lost 3-1 tonight. Quiet day at work went to h--- in a handbasket this afternoon. Not sure what went wrong and I am pretty sure it can be fixed, but dang what a headace!!! I hope everyone has a good day.
Kev, glad everthing is staying as was and not getting worse.
Sunny and cooler. Lazy day for a change. Tomorrow is an early out to HS graduation in downtown Raleigh in middle of normal commuters. Going to be a mess. I'll leave extra early.
