OCTOBER COFFEE POT Pancakes and Sausage for all
Posted by cheapclassics on Saturday, September 30, 2017 11:48 PM

Good evening all,

Just happened to be just after midnight.  Never have done this before so I thought I would start October off.   Grandson's team won 5-0 and granddaughter's team lost 3-0.  "My" soccer girls ended the regular season with a 3-0 loss, worst record in several years.  Weather was good and had a nice visit with Lucas and his wife.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 39 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Just let FifeMax out.  I was not dressed for 39.  FifeMax was asked to make it quick.

Guten tag,

It has been way too long since my last post. We still live in Germany and it is hard to believe we have been here well over a year already. I travel quite a bit for work; most of the trips are in Europe but have made some to Africa and the US. Just last week I spent a few days in Chief's neck of the woods: Durham, NC. The weather has been pleasant out here; highs in the upper 50s or low 60s.  It does rain a bit more than we like, but that is Germany weather for you.  I hope everyone is doing well.

Great job for an Un-American sports lover.

I crashed early after meds.  Wifey cooked breakfast this AM which helps.  Cool fall like here.  About time.

Hope all have a great week ahead.

PS: Joe, good to hear from you.  Should have given me a call.  Would have driven to Durham.  Bought you a hotdog. Wink

Seems to be coffee everywhere????

So here we go again,

Morning guys,

Cold here guys, the heat is on in the house. It will get up to 70 later today but in the low 40s now.

We could sure use some rain. Darn dust everywhere here.

Yesterday I went over to the Ritchie Bros. auction site to walk the equipment with Brian and Jim. Slim pickings at the auction site, I did not see anything I wanted then we got back Jim and I mounted the snow plow carriage on the ranger. Later in the day I did the power from the battery to the plow. Today maybe I will plug the plow on and see if it all works as it should.

Dennis, why I have done everything I can to keep my God given teeth all my life. Hope you get it figured out.

A F-450 Super Duty Limited is a lot of truck but that is almost 4 times what I paid for my first house. Surprise

Good evening all,

Quiet day.  Good weather.  Wife and I worked on jig saw puzzle and she gave me a haircut.  Was looking at the auto rack car on the Hot Wheel set.  It seems to be smaller than the scale ones.  If Lionel makes those with "real" road names, I would definitely be interested as I could model the Honda train that goes thru the hometown.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening from beautiful 60°F Southern Ohio

Mother in Law came through the valve replacement real well praise be God!  They are back home and my bride is going to spend the night with her after giving her a shower and changing her dressings.

It has been a busy weekend as usual.  We had another fire last night out front and the kids invited some friends over.  Everyone had a good time.

I was using the pushmower cutting in some overgrown places and hit a small stump and it cracked the motor casing.  Looks like a time for a new mower.  Maybe someone will have them on sale, and I'll put off getting the chainsaw for now.

The garage is coming along.  The trusses went up friday and one side is sheeted.

The boys won their football game Friday, 24 – 22.  Very good game.  Gabriel had his best game so far this season.  3 sacks and another 8 tackles.

I'll be on night shift this coming week so I'll be going in Monday evening.  Bleh.  I don't like nights anymore.

Good night and may God bless

Jim

Sun and 60s here.

I watched Saturday football but 2 Lions knelt on Sunday so I watched something else and took a nap. They did win though.

Got the plow on and working, My friend Herman from back in the Cat days came by and we had a good time BSing. The wife went to town and when she got home she pulled into the wrong side of her garage then backed her car into a hickory tree. Crying That will suck. Rear door and bumper for sure...

Snow plow is ready Roy! Works good!

I've never met such a strong dog. Oh man, i can't think about snow yet... MikeC, that Hot Wheels set looks neat.

Guten tag,

It was a bit dreary today but otherwise a pleasant day. The workday was uneventful but busy.  The wife made a fantastic dinner and after I retrieve the older son from soccer practice, I can relax for the night.

SJ - No more NFL for me either.

Chief - I could only stay in NC for two days; my Yankee visa would not allow for a longer stay.  Smile, Wink & Grin

Jim Phish - I am glad the MIL's procedure went well.

It's a shame about Vegas. Evil is evil.

Hey!!

Yup still breathing....

Hey Joe!!

Kids heading to FLA-USA of step son's wedding...no, I wasn't invited.  I'll send a card any ways and $50.  That'll get tongues wagging down south for sure.

SO! Someone has to baby sit the cat and I'm more than happy to do it.  10 days in my own house?  Who da thunk it....lol.  It's ok, I'm keeping an eye on Mom and Dad in the mean whiles.

I was listening to LV Metro PD on the scanner - the Zebra team had things well in hand, and the EMTs where running to GSWs during an active shooter.

Nightmares about this stuff....agreed, Fife?  So far, the only mass casulty incident I've been to is tractor-trailers and busses and that's just bad enough, thanks.

Joe is right....evil is evil.

Back to my job, just checking in, makin' sure y'all are well.

Good afternoon all !

Couldn't believe what I heard on the radio when I got up this morning. Turned on the TV and it was almost unbelieveable to see. But what makes it even worse is some of the Trump haters  and even some of the Democratic Cockroaches screaming already about gun control. As a Democrat I am ashamed of some of the members of the party. Give it a break, they're still trying to identify the dead so families can be notified. Rant Over !

On a happier note the results on my PET scan came back, no new cancer aside from what they knew was there. My Dr. and the surgeon will be reviewing the images then coming up with a treatment plan. Beer Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Saturday the BetterHalf took me to the museum for the Kid's Club at 8am but unfortunately at 10am she had to come and get me. Don't know if it was a reaction to the injections for the PET scan or something else but I ended up sleeping, not drug induced, til almost 4pm.

Phish, Thumbs UpThumbs UpAngel

Gluten free to you too, Demay!  Good to hear from you.  We had "Frostoberfest" in the mountains last weekend.  Probably not as good as what they have un ze fadahland...

anjdevil - Worked through the Beltway Snipers, as well as Joe Palzinski spree.  That was just awful what happened in Vegas.  Don't look for closure.  Too soon to spin what caused that.

Haven't heard from Roger's Corners in a while...

Good evening from beautiful sunny 68°F Southern Ohio,

May God have mercy on the souls who died in Las Vegas

Working nights this week.  The finished basement of the new house is GREAT for sleeping during the day.  I laid down about noon to prep for nights and the basement can get very dark and quiet!  I could just barley hear the guys working on the garage, and that was without ear plugs.  Two hour nap to turn around the bio-clock.  The contractor finished the sheeting and half of the shingles are on.  The job is shaping up quickly and they are doing a good job.

Thanks guys for the kind word for my MIL.  My bride stayed with her last night and all went well.  She will get her showered and changes her dressings tonight but come home for the night.  We live about 10 minutes away so if there is an issue we live close by.

Good Night and may God bless

Jim

Good evening all,

Long day at work, long night at the soccer field.  Did a lot of cases today, but all caught up.  "My" soccer boys lost tonight 8-0 to end the season.  Good weather for walk at noon and game.  Trains came today.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening all, bad news from Vegas all day today.  Had to turn off TV.  They keep beating it to death.  Agree with Doug da, Lets take care of the dead and wounded before we get into a shouting match about gun control.

Dennis, sorry to hear about your friend with dementia.  He is lucky he has a friend like you.

Went to a train meet Sunday.  Lots of bargains but I'm not in the market anymore.

Aloha from a sunny Chicago. I think Kev might agree today's 80s might be the last for a while. Sorry about the car being rear-ended by the tree like that. That happened to our little Yaris years ago and it just fell apart. We hjave a bypass road with a 50 mph speed limit that turns into a left turn lane and if you're not paying attention, you can run into the stopped cars. That's what happened then... Dennis, you are very kind to help out your friend. Rich, that is a classy move about the step-son's wedding. Any job news? Fife, did you find anything tasty at Frostberfest?

Mornin' Fellas

Been lower than normal the past week around Mt Airy, warming back up for the weekend. Christina's soccer team isn't gelling and it is starting to get her down. We watched a segment on 60 Minutes about US Soccer Star Christian Pulisic (sp) and she seemed to be rather interested. We'll see. She's been asking about basketball recently and registration just opened... so maybe we'll discuss that? She is really active for a 6 yo, Matthew... not-so-much. He would rather read a book than kick a ball. Oh well.

TheQ is starting a long multi-city trip on Thursday... Orlando, Buffalo, NYC, then some small town in CT. She'll be gone for 10 days... ugh.

Right Doug, This is it for the 80s Fall is here. Fields are getting cleared out as fast as they can.

They beat the hatch door out to where it will open and close if needed, put plastic over where the window was and taped it up so we can use it if we need it till they get all the parts and can get it in for the repair.

Car looks like something you would see down there around Chief and RT's area. Laugh  Looks real hillbilly,,, Wink

Going to Harbor Freight to get some dollies to make the snow plow storage rack I want. So I can just un-pin it and roll it away from the truck when I don't need it on the Ranger.

Better get going.

Guten abend,

It was a busy, busy day at work today.  It seemed a new problem arose every few minutes and I was never able to accomplish the tasks I planned to complete today. Oh well, it will all be there tomorrow. The wife was not feeling well so I brought home pizza for dinner; no complaints on that. It is time to relax and enjoy a glass of wine before getting some sleep.

Fife - Your German is great.  Big Smile

Good night,

Evening all!

It was an ugly 90 degree super humid day. Overcast. No real respite til next week.

Joe and Fife - sprecken ze Irish?

Dennis - agree with Ray, you are a good friend!

Brent - ahhh, sports extravaganza, you will likely be happy if just one kid is big on it, that way you do not have to flip a coin to see which matches you and the Q split up for.

Dougnotta - hope your pets scan comes out ok!

Regards, Roy
