Good evening all,
Busy day but quiet as pain one is still gone. Not much going on tomorrow and taking Friday off. Weather looks to be good to mow on Friday. Washed the mini-van tonight and then we went to see "Gifted". Good movie starring the guy who plays "Captain America". Wished they would make a series based on "Sgt. Fury and the Howlin' Commandos". They were sort of featured in the first Captain America flick but not specifically mentioned. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
At last,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Here is the completed elevated level less the Lockon wire up. That will come in the next few days as they are calling for rain.
Also the new back up ZW.
Have fun at York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Evening from beautiful sunny 83°F Southern Ohio,
My bride and I have been house hunting for a house in town closer to school and last week we found one and the sellers have accepted our offer. We’re working the financing now. Good part is the kids can walk to school and I’ve been promised a bedroom for a Train Room!
Banks if you try to call me I can’t answer my cell until after 7 pm Monday – Thursday because I can’t take my personal phone into work.
Safe travels to you guys going to York
May God bless
Jim
Evenin' boys. Sunny & 78 on old Knobley Mtn here. Youngest Princess and I just planted a tray of snappy dragons and fancy pansies out front. Hopefully the nearby woodland creatures won't ingest them.
Finished painting the train room, and nearly finished painting Wifey's storage room. Keeping the paint shakers at the local Sherwin-Williams busy.
Wish I were in the backseat, as Chief and Shake-n-bake take the Road to YORK. Don probably needs an interpreter by now. My "YORK" arrived via ebay today, as I scored a set of Marx Girard and Oak Park tin litho stations. Both in pretty good shape and appearance for their age (?). Will look good as my fleet of Generals stop by.
Wifey found out that she is the match for her brother's marrow transfusion, so that will be around the bend.
Safe travels and good times to all the Yorkies.
RT, pretty certain tailbone pain is not kidney releated. Had xray of each.

Evening all!
Packed up for York and on a dark-thirty flight to BWI in the morning.
Banks - RoC is the usual Friday plan but your are correct, haven't heard anything. I say lets do it?
I will try and check posts tomorrow night.
Regards, Roy
Hello there.......
Wupped. Been up since 3AM. Off t bed soon
Any body goin to Round the Clock for breakfast Friday??
Prayers for those in need
Busy day at work, but quiet as pain one was still gone and may be gone all week. I got ambitious and washed the Encore for the first time. It cleans up really easy, which is good. Going to watch Izombie tonight. Jane the Virgin was good last night. I hope everyone has a good day.
Afternoon all
SPMAN make sure the pain in your back is from your fall. Reason saying this is I had pain in my back when I had Kidney stones.
Bags are about 90% pack and ready to go. ( Last minute items still need to go in like meds and all)
Looking forward to this trip. Talk to you all when I get back.
Life's hard, even harder if your stupid John Wayne

Hello all
A bit windy and cloudy on the mountain today, but we are open for business at the moment.
Mike - yeah, I think I will keep the 4-dr. I do like the later model body style and it is fun to drive. I also have a nerve spot on my left foot that can give me issues if I drive the Corvan full time. I have to push on the floor mounted clutch pedal in exactly the wrong spot. The 4-dr has a power-glide. Plus my dad would come out of his grave and kick me if I sold that car:)
Dennis - hope the procedure goes ok.
Going to look into moving up to 15" rims on the Corvan. That way I can put the 14" rims from it on the 4-dr which came w/ 13". The 4-dr needs new tires anyway and I just put 2 new tires on the van rims. While I am making the switch I may have the van rims powder-coated aluminum (black paint now), Think that will look nice w/ the chrome hubcaps on the car now. This also gives me more options for tires on the van.

Morning. Guessers missed it again. Was suppose to taper off around 2 AM. Actually got worse. This weather station in back yard is showing over 9" of rain [think it is a little off on the high side]. Still indicates lots of big rains. Was a big "wash down" about day light this AM. This is a hurricane without the wind. Guessers are now updating their estimated amount of rain here. Now saying from earlier estimates of 4" to now 6" plus. Bet they update it again. May breakup some by noon but still off and on till later today. Major mall is closed as parking lot is flooded suddenly. Streets and roads closed due to flooding. Wake County Schools still open but buses can't get to kids. ????? Incompetent leadership.Hope all get well and prayers for all of you.
Safe trips to all.
Chief, Don, et al, good luck with the York Trip. Wish I was with you. My kidney stone pain seems to have moved on but I haven't passed it yet. Biggest problem is back pain from tail bone after the fall I had. Doctor appointments later in the week.
Another quiet day. Pain one was gone and pain two left at lunch. Good weather for the noon walk. My Norwegian soccer friend sent a thank you card with some wedding pictures. She and her wife make a cute couple. I edged and mowed most of the yard tonight. I forgot what a pain the first edging is. Took forever. Watched Jane the Virgin as well. Good episode. Submmbob, my advice would be to keep the 65. That was the first year of the good styling and rear suspension. If I lived closer, I would be so over one of those for sale...... I hope everyone has a good day.
Fun day here on the hill.
Blew 6 drive fuses for the first time in 15 years. And some potential cell phone/wifi interference.
Kev - the 4L is a better engine, especially for a 4WD. The 3L was a bit of a dog. If you have to replace the 4WD hubs I would recommend going w/ Warn manuals. The factory hubs are centrifically actuated and unlock when going into reverse. Friend of mine discovered this the hard way.
Looks like there may be a few folks around Bill's this weekend. He announced that he was selling his Corvairs off since he can't see to drive and they are starting to circle. Will be kind of sad to see them go. Of course there will still prob be plenty of club member's cars wandering over.
Found out today the Willow Run Plant where a lot of the Corvair cars were made used to make B-24's and was originally started by Ford. Very possibly where the '65 4-dr was built. Looking forward to getting that one running again and thinking I may keep it.
Hi guys,
Picked up the Ranger Edge today. Bob, It is a 2003 with the bigger 4L engine 157K miles on the clock and has towing package and some other heavy duty stuff like bigger breaks, rear axle and stuff.
Looks like a wheel bearing, gas door lid, tailgate latch, bed floor patch and a left front clearance light lens will get it up to par. Not going to order anything till I pull it down to see if I should do brake pads at the same time. I took out an extra $300 for parts.
It could use a seat repair but that can wait till I decide if I will keep it or flip it.
I also finished the last section of the elevated loop. Just got to let things dry and finish the table work tomorrow. Then wire the Lockons.
Have fun at York guys and Dennis and anjdevil2 get better soon.
Happy Monday, Guys!!
Daddy - Daughter date yesterday which was way overdue. Had dinner at TGIFridays and then saw Beauty and the Beast (we saw the original way back when) had a good talk and was a great day. She is still my little Princess.
This cold is kicking my butt and working long hours does not help. Fortunately, the night job hasn't been as busy and I'm usually out the door and home by 10.
Change is hopefully coming. Pray for a small miracle, LOL!!
So, between HudsonJohn and Fife, I might as stay working as it appear retirement means double work. I'm good, thanks!!
Breaktime is almost done, gotta get back. York is a no go again this April, I get get the time off. ARGH!!
Back when I can, Prayers for Buckeye and SPRay and V8!!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Good afternoon,
It stopped raining and looks like the sun is out for most of the day.
Got the AC repaired today, ouch; $385.00. The coils were dirty because of using the wrong type of filter, and now the AC repair man will bring me a new filter because of being an off size filter.
Not going to any train shows up north as I need to fix the house a bit first. Also waiting on the back porch windows to be replaced.
Lee
Raining. Understatement. Pouring constantly.
Getting ready for York [sort of if I can get away from Town business].
If Don gets too bad, tie him to the roof rack on the 4 Runner.
Fifey, you have to make it. Will not be right without you and Brent. After all, RT [Carpetbagger] may need protection.
Later.
Hello there,
Droped Mom off at a local personal care home for a 10 day stay. Hopefully there will be no medical issues come up and we can get to York
Phish..........what is it you want and what are you willing to spend? I'll keep an eye out for it.
Best move on
Good Morning from beautiful 70°F Southern Ohio
It has been super busy around here, many days not even able to visit and read, let alone post. But all is good, just busy. I am still covering for two supervisors who are off. This leaves me pretty well spent by the time I get home at 8pm.
I did win a Marx windup set last night. It looks pretty neat, the plan now is to use it for the school auction next spring.
Roy – I’ve not heard that tune in a long time. The first stain, dent, scratch is always the toughest
Buckeye – Prayers for a quick recovery
Safe travels guys.
Would it be tacky to ask one of you guys going to York to look for something for me?
Morning all!Another sunny day and warming up fast. 77 today. 88 tomorrow, then back to 70's.Went to dinner Sat night with friends for some Italian. I had angel hair pasta, 2 meatballs, and marinara sauce. Ate half. Half in a take home box. We pull into drive and open garage door - the takeout slick foam box slides out of the bag and onto the "new" MDX floor...and...the box opens dumping the meatball, sauce, and pasta onto the floor mat - gahhhh! So the new car has been christened. "On top of spaghetti,... ....then my poor meatball, rolled onto the floor......."Fife - it won't be the same! Who's gonna "take down" da chief?
NASCAR today!
- The Chief said he thought it would be a good idea to take the "back roads" and avoid DC & Baltimore. Sounded good to me, he said he thinks his GPS should work.
(So I got a map, compass, and phone just incase.)
As Larry the Cable Guy says, 'I don't care who you are, that's funny':)
Spent a couple hours talking to an old friend I went to college w/ who is retiring from Boeing. We've been in sporadic email contact, but haven't talked in a long time. Looks like he will be moving back to Phoenix at some point. Was good catching up.
Renewed the registration for the 4dr Corvair. If we get the head back on this next week I can drive it.
Don if riding with the chief gets to be to much, I can get you back to the Raliegh,N.C. airport. Seeing I have to sneak back to S.C. myself.
Good Evening All !
Been thinking, & thinking, of all the stuff that needs to be done before leaving on Tuesday.......
- Going to get shots on Monday
- Picking up a translation dictionary
- Got a large supply of Grits "Neutrilizer"
- Found a commercial "Mosquito Zapper", but it is too big for carry on, so have to "Check It"
- Got the "waders" in case of rain
- Finally, as most of the trip will be North of the MD line, i'm not too concerned about food and water.
So, REALLY look forward to seeing ALL you guys, and should be a fun trip !!!!!
FIFE, Hope you get to break away, and make a showing.
Take care all and be safe!!
Don
Did 4 miles today walking in 1:11:45. Very windy. Listened to the Indycar race. Foyt team had a horrible day. I think this may be their last season as there is no way ABC Supply will stay with them after this year unless they get competitive really soon. I hope everyone has a good day.
Been raining most of the day, finally quit raining about an hour ago. Rained almost all night, from around 10 pm to almost 3 pm today, hopefully our drought index goes down. Temperature is down a little, near 73 instead of 83. Supposed to rain just a minor bit tomorrow and be near 85.
Have to repair air conditioner as the service guy said it needs a cleaning of the intake area because we had a slightly bad air filter in it for almost 3 years. Service man should be here in morning to repair it.
Roy - No Nascar. No nap. No YORK (as of this writing).
