Evening all!

Hey - made the first page for April! Happy Anniversary to us!

Everything is all set up for the TW Trainworx Layout Festival tomorrow. Just a few last minute cleanup items in the am. Benefits our local Ronald McDonald House and it is an LCCA Special Event. Will be a fun day.

April 2004  Savannah GA.  I was working special event at Bass Pro Shops there.  Last month it read, "Marching to year 13."

Mornin' boys.  Cool and damp along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Need to get a screw removed from the R/R tire.

This week spent organizing shop(s), then painting woodwork for cab roof.  Wifey says I'm thinning out, so that's a plus.

Middle princess brought home a nice young man she met at work.  They work opposite hours on the same ward, but spend their off-time together.  She likes steak; his family owns cows.  Sounds like a match to me.

Oh Okay Chief. Sorry.

Morning all. Need to take truck monday to have at least one break line repaired. While getting the tire replaced at Firestone yesterday, they discovered that one has rusted thru at points. Of coarse they don't do break lines.Angry  Don't have the tools to do it.

No train news today

Hope all have a good one

Sunny but cold starting off the day on The North Bluff but they say it will hit 55 today like SJ said. I hope so.

Going to take a day off of trains.

Weather was nice,

I soldered TVSs to 5 lockons today to power the elevated loop. I also cut 80+ foot of guard rail out of the FRP panel I got to use on the platform. The rest of the day I enjoined the high 50 temps and sunshine we had . Also re-uped my scrip to the CTT rag that cost more but gets smaller. Huh?

You have a point there.

Slept late, jumped up, got ready fast and went to Sunday School. Sunny and 69 degrees. Came home by Hardees with a biscuit. Then turned on TV. Suddenly reclinerized.

No frost here. Hope to make one more week of tomatoes in the greenhouse. Really tall. Transplant then in garden.

Think Wifey wants to go get mulch. She is running by the museum that is being crowed by folks with curiosity.

Probably do a walk about as weather pretty.

Hope all have a great day.

Afternoon fellas

Tired. Been working on and off since Friday night due to integration. At this point I'm beginning to think we should have done a 'walk-through' last weekend. Hope we are done soon.

TheQ's trip to The Big D was a success, but she is tired. Not sure when she'll be able to recharge her batteries.

Hope all is well with the Gang.

Happy Birthday Fellas

Hello all!  Relaxing weekend this was, didn't need two shots of "Makers Mark" to calm down Friday night like I did last week.

Picked up some odds 'n ends at the local hobby shop (Tiny Tim's Trains and Toys in Ashland VA) even got to see some CSX and Amtrak run-bys while I was there.  Then off to the gym for a soak in the whirlpool.  Hey, Lady Firestorm keeps telling me to go soak my head, and I always take her advice!

Cut the grass and whizzed the weeds today, then added a Williams "Steam Sounds" unit to the Lionel 221 I bought in Florida back in October.  Hey, after 70 years that little Dreyfuss look-alike now has a voice!  Seems to like it too!  I wonder if I can figure out a way to squeeze a smoke unit in there?

Good evening,

For me it was a slow day but I did mock up a short section to see just what the elevated track will look like with the FRP strips I cut as guard rail. Next I will paint the wood in a concrete color and check it out and try to figure out how to best build it with the least amount of effort. The single leg is just there to keep it from falling over.

Banks, Glad everything went well for you and hope the best for your mom and I agree with SJ that you nailed it on the CTT thing.

Good evening all,

Kevin, I am realy enjoying your pictures and descriptions of your latest project.  It is good to see someone share their work.  I did very little Saturday except watch 2 soccer games that ended in ties.  Wife and I did go out to Wings and Rings after Mass.  That was nice.  Today it was a "nnnneeeeeeewwwww tttrack record" as I did 13.1 miles in 3:14:52 for a 4.03 MPH average!!!   I am not sure I will be able to do that on day of the Mini, but I at least did it once.  I did the first 12 miles with at least a 10 second jog every lap and then I walked the mile at a fast enough pace to make the mark I was aiming for.  I talked to my "teammate" from last fall and she will be on my team this summer.   That made my day as well.  As AJ would say, "All in all, it was a pretty good day."  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evening all!

Rained all day and cooler tomorrow with high 70's.

Finally feeling better today. Reconfigured part of the home network to add a 4 port switch and an older backup printer for my wife. Good thing as her primary printer ran out of toner soon after. More toner was on order and arrives tomorrow.

Banks - prayers for your mom.

Kev - still looking good!

Mike C - 12/13 miles, impressive at any pace.

Happy Monday boys.  Cloudy and 42 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Oil change for the Durango today.  Wifey visiting oldest princess and grandson.  Youngest Princess and I spent afternoon up at my folks' place, and did a little fishing.  I managed to bring in a 2 pound largemouth.  My mom fried us steak and mushrooms, and it all tasted great.  Spoke with Fifepup last night, and he has moved closer to work at Lake Murray.  He sounded good.

Good afternoon,

Supposed to go to 85 degrees today, maybe more. Friday it is supposed to cool off several degrees and maybe some rain.

Have not done much in the train room lately. Installed a shelf in the hallway the other day. Waiting for somebody to help me install the drop down sheet of plywood for my H.O. layout in the computor room. If the sheet of plywood is put up I can do the rest as it will be a fold-down layout.

Happy April dudes and dudettes!!

Still chugging along on the 15 hour days, its a chore but untill I find something better, it will do.

Seems like people are dying all over the place one of my friends Dad passed (94), one of my Mom and Dads friend (59!!!) and my best friends Mom
died on Saturday. If we had connected, she would have been my mother in law, she was such a sweetheart. Just hit 90 a couple of months ago.
I'll be off to the viewing and the funeral Thursday and Friday.

I was playing with my FasTrack and got my interchange track set up, it's going to be on the main straight up front as this alone is over 7' with
O-48 outer curves and O-36 inner, 2 main lines with a switched Y for 2 storage tracks, which I'll have to modify now that I have to put the interchange on the
front of the layout. YES!! I'm getting antsy....need more time to insulate and wallboard then get the plywood and foam. I already have the
2X4s and 2X6's in the storage shed.

The main part with the switches will be all Fastrack and the other parts will be Atlas O since I have a lot of both.  I wish I could do ALL Atlas, but I have so much money tired up in Fastrack, I can't justify selling it to switch over (pun intended).

The house got a major spring cleaning yesterday threw open the windows, mopped and vacuumed, my room is getting closer to be habitable.
My cat was extremely excited that I was "home" all day....just need to get used to the bed I bought.  The mattress was free, but.....

OK off to job 2.  Be back when I can...

Good evening all,

No rest for the wicked LOL.  Got caught up at work, did 3 miles on my noon walkabout, came home and mowed more of the yard.  Did not do all the acreage as it is not all up yet, but got the high spots that needed attention.  Hopefully tomorrow I can rest a little at both work and home.  MR came today.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Spent a lot of time yesterday and day before fighting issues with my old vs new YouTube account all rooted in Google takeover issues of YouTube and my .ieee email account. Thanks Google (not). Wanted to post some video of the trainfest Sat. No dice so far.
