Good morning,
Getting a little hot today here in southeast Florida near WPB, close to 90 this afternoon. Maybe some rain in a day or two.
Trying to get some kitchen and bathroom stuff fixed, the kitchen sink wasn't draining correctly, had a plumber friend come out and clear the drain pipes. Pipes were 80% plugged, he cleaned them and now the dishwasher drains much better. Also getting the counter top for my main bathroom delivered this afternoon.
Been a bit busy with house work so maybe next week I can get back to the trains.

Good evening all,
Grandkids were here this morning. Played some games and ran some trains. Mowed this afternoon before rains came. Not sure what weekend will bring. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Mornin' boys. Thunderboomers all night long in the Alleghenies. Fifemax doesn't do well with them, and has had me up for hours. Off to railyard in a little while to assist CMO with 1309 (maybe learn some techie stuff). Coffee first.
Good looking bunch of guys there at the CTT booth. Some great old faces, and some new ones too. Banks kept teasing me yesterday, and even had Bob Keller on my case. Perhaps fall guys. There is an annual train show at the Cumberland fairgrounds next week, perhaps I'll get my "fix" there. Anyway, happy hunting to the gang, and safe travels home.
Neighbor called me last night to report a black bear in our neighborhood. Girls were all excited, but couldn't see it. Apparently it's approx 150 lbs, and likes bird feeders.
Anyone notice that the new fire station by MENARDS is a dead ringer for Carson, CA Station 127 (aka Station 51)?
Get well soon Buckeye and SPMan.

Those that know me, will see that I am conspicuously absent from the photo. Got so busy chasing treasures, that I looked at my watch and it was past the appointed time. Sorry to have missed the meet up and photo. Maybe I'll make in October.
We had two fun days at York. Today my college buddy Ray and I are heading to Richmond for the NASCAR race on Sunday. Supposed to be wicked hot, in the 90's.
Take care,
Mitch

Got a mom Turkey nesting close by and today for the first time in the 13 years we have had this place I saw a coyote in are yard. All I can think is it was after her eggs. When it saw me it ran behind the shed and along the east ravine and into the south woods. I have heard them way out to the west in the open fields but never seen one here. Rain has started and they say 5" by monday night.
Ugh!

V8Vega Fifedog said in the York post that if you cover the whole thing you walk 7 miles. Doe's anyone cover the whole thing? In my younger days I probably would have tried. We have had for years a huge High Performance and Hot Rod show and swap meet here in the LA County Fairgrounds and I have heard it's 7 miles if you walk each isle. There's even more walking than that.

Real handsome group, lucky for them, I'm almost out of sight in the back row.
Had two enjoyable days at York, but didn't come close to seeing it all. Had breakfast on Thursday with Chief & Don Baker and on Friday with those two plus Roy, my wife Jean & Banks and his wife.
And we had two days of the best weather we've had this April here in PA.
take care,
John
We arriver at York on Tuesday Night. Four of us. Went to DC on Wednesday. Did the halls on Thursday and Friday. I use the shuttle between the halls but did so much walking in DC I might br crippled for life. Was nice to finally meet RT and his wife face to face.
Tired Took us all day to get home as we went to Pat's Trains in Wheeling WV a 12 hour trip.

Thanks Don for the group picture at York. What a motley crew! Here is the latest on me. Went to the urologist Friday and spent the whole day doing pre op stuff for the hospital next Tuesday. They found 7 kidney stones in my right kidney. Two had moved out of the kidney toward the bladder but are stuck now. The doctor is going to try and remove all 7 next Tuesday. They are not in a good position or size for ultra sound. Will have to retrieve manually with a grappling hook. Ouch! Only good thing is that I will be asleep while this is going on. Have all the fun you can at York. Maybe you'll get better weather on the way back. More later,
Ray
SPMan
Given the circumstances, it was a pretty good day. Watched an excellent Premiere League match, went to Mass and then to Buffalo Wings and Rings, watched Indy 11 get a 1-1 tie on the road, and listened to AJ's team get their second top 10 of the season. I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all. I sure did, Fife! I still watch Emergency! reruns. I was planning on having a career in firefighting, but........ I had a chance to tour Station 127(51) a few years ago when I was out in L.A./Anaheim and it was the highlight of my trip. I hope Menards will come out with some American style fire engines (Pierce is made in Appleton, WI, Menards!!) as opposed to the European ones they currently have. Maybe even Squad and Engine 51!!! Now if Menards would make Rampart hospital next...... :)
Mornin' boys. Cloudy and 68 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Lots of stuff I should be doing today, just not sure which way Wifey wants to go.
robmcc - That show is a classic.
SPMan - Let's hope the surgeon doesn't look like this ...
Good Sunday Morning All!
Haven't posted here in some time but I just thought I'd stop in and say it was a pleasure to finally meet the Chief, Don Baker and RT.
I've been going to York for 6 years now and it's always best when you get a chance to meet the guys from here and other forum's. Exchanging experiences on trains and just catching up on how we are all doing during breakfast or dinners is what makes the trip all worth it.
Kev - The elevated track looks great. The ever evolving layout is the only kind.
See Ya!

Overcast and 45 degrees.
It was 80 at York so this feels like winter has returned. Besides seeing all the fellers in the pic I met Roger Carp for the firtst time and spent some chat time (and rest) with Bob Keller. We took a side trip on the way home to Wheeling WV. Pat's Trains. I spent more $$ there than at York.
getting ready to head home. Spent yesterday being lazy and Shopping with Mrs. followed by Mass.
Now for names
Left to right standing: Don Baker, Charlie, Da Chief and Roy. Next hiding in back is John Fullerton. next a name I didn't get Detroit 3 railers Victor and Dennis. With Hudson John between them.Hudson John is next followed by another unknown. (just realized the edge of Bob Keller is visible behind the unknown.Gonna see if I have a better picture) Then (i think this is right)RJ's Brother followed by sir James John's Son (oops See Below) Johns cousin James and Ray. Down in front are LAZ, RJ, RT and yours truely.
Same group. Now you can see Bob Keller not RJ's brother
Best get ready to go
Good job Banks with the names. But just over SJ's right shoulder is Hudson John's cousin James.
Thanks again.

Very wet outside today.
Went to Harbor Freight and picked up a angle grinder and sanding discs for it so I can prep the Ranger bed floor for the patch panel. I am at $1,429.57 total investment so far on the Ranger project.
Been working on the Ranger 4x4 pick-up truck project a lot but I finally got around to taking a video of the finished elevated reversing loop running along with the rest of the table working.
The Missouri Pacific ALCO FA-2 No. 205 A-A set is on top. The Express Santa Fe ALCO FA-2 No. 218 ABA and passenger set,, the No. 53 lumber train, a late model No. 69 maintenance car and Thomas are running on the lower level.
Still have some placement changes to do on some of the layout things but most is finished. This has been a fun project guys.
Evening all. The Laptop didn't have the password for here so was not able to get on while in York. Had a great time. Met faces that I only knew the names to.
My purchase was the B&M set of 3 GP-9's two power with TMCC and one dummy unit. Been wanting it seeing I have all the rest of the GP-9's they have made. So now have 10 B&M GP-9's 8 power and 2 Dummies. ( I have 2, 2359's and 2 of the Paul revere set 2346's )
Met Hudson John, Ray his brother in law, Da Chief, Don Baker, Banks, Mrs Banks, SJ, Charlie, Laz, Charlie Brown ( R.J.) , and a lot more. there was like 15 of us in the Picture. Yes I'm in the front with the Wisconsin BB-64 ballcap on.

TThanks Sir James. Fixed it above
Quiet day. Went for a last practice speed run. Did 4.1 miles in less than an hour. Weather was warm, dry and windy, but for once the breeze felt good. Did very little else today. Suppose to be cooler this week. I hope everyone has a good day.
