Hi guys,
Worked in the yard, cut a small area behind the shed on the berm and did leaves the rest of the day. Felt good to be out in 70-degree weather and do something. Cough cough hack hack is at least producing something coming up now. Hope that is a good thing. George the cat is still recovering from his shots he got yesterday.
Phish, Snap Crackle and Pop went good. Wife and I want to leave for a trip for year # 30 this week if I can get over this cold. If not, we will sit tight and celebrate at home. Dr. told me to call and let him know if I feel I need another visit. I hope I don’t.
SIL sat in the deer stand Friday morning, did not get anything but saw more than I thought he would with so much crop still in the fields.
Banks, Prayers for your better half!

Evening all!

Warm here today at 80. Mid 80's tomorrow and high 80's - maybe even 90 until cool front mid-week.

Mike C - our "youngest" vehicle has 80,000. The next one is at 120,000. So far we have been able to keep them operational without incident.

Not much going on. Slow day today.

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

All our vehicles are over 110,000 miles.  Maybe we need to replace one.  Hate to make car payments.  Have not done so in years.  Granddaughter's team won 8-1 today.  When they are all present and hitting on all cylinders, it is pretty awesome.  Grandson's team lost a close 2-1 match.  Dominated field of play, just could not close the deal.  Indy 11 won 3-0.  Did 8 miles today.  Speed was not great, 3.797 MPH, but added almost another mile to the distance.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Guten morgen,

Yesterday was a nice day.  The wife and I took the youngest to visit a farm and pumpkin patch.  He enjoyed seeing cows, pigs, chickens, etc. up close, but he was not a fan of the aroma.  Ick!  After the tour, he and I picked two nice pumpkins we will carve next weekend.  In the evening, I drove the Princess and her best friend to and from the homecoming dance.  It is a beautiful, sunny day today; the high is about 62.  We did home church today and had a great time with it.  So far this afternoon we watched "The Force Awakens" and I will smoke a pork shoulder on the grill for dinner.

Mike C. - We do not enjoy car payments either and we will drive our cars until the wheels fall off.  We have not purchased a brand new vehicle since 1998.  We stick to used cars, but I believe we may leave Germany with a new BMW or Mercedes; they can be had at a great discount over here.

Have a great day,

Joe

Morning all. It's been one thing or another with the wound vac or the I.V. since yesterday. The I.V. is supose to take 2 hours to be complete and taking over 4 hours. Wound vac line was to long and I kept tripping over it until I finally pulled it off one time and had to have nurse come and do it again. ( this time it's back to the length it's been. )

Other than that not much going on here.

Joe before you buy check the requirements bringing back into the states. I remember some ( now this was years ago) Changed there mind because of the vehicles not having polution requirements the U.S. required and the cost to bring them up to the U.S. requirements. Now this may have all changed and I hope it has but thought I would throw that out there.

Morning.  Sunny and beautiful.

Did a lot of work down east.  Still more to do as behind with feeders and etc.  Still lots of flooding and highways closed.  Lots of National Guard convoys.  Helicopters too.  Farm OK.  Some water still in woods.  Better than expected.  Runways at Seymour Johnson AFB may still be flooded.  Some schools still closed.  Farmers trying to finish getting in crops.  Tough.

Hunting was OK.  Got use to new box stand.  Saw does and cow horns.  Some biggies there due to the fresh tracks.  Got to go back and finish our work this coming week, early.

Resting up today.  Finish unpacking truck and putting up hunting gear.

Got to go see Mrs. Dorothy.  She is not long for this life.  She is my "black mama" as she puts it.  92 years old.  A real saint.

Hope all have a great week ahead.

Evening all!

Warm as expected today. To continue until mid- week.

Cowboys pulled a nice win over Green Bay and Harvick won at Kansas. Johnson and Harvick don't have to worry too much about Taladega next week. They are through to next round.

Had a nce day today but dragging as I could only sleep a couple of hours last night for some dumb reason not known to me.

Good afternoon,

70 heading to 87 today on the North Bluff above the River City of Marseilles IL. Bottom falls out mid week. Slept good, had a bonfire at the neighbors last night and had a few beers. Burnt all the brush up we have cut this summer. Took a walk when I got up to move all the loose phlegm in my lunges. Hope to get better so wife and I can get out of town later in the week for our 30th anniversary and go up north.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Afternoon from beautiful sunny Southern Ohio,

It was a beautiful weekend to camp.  Temps were great night and day.  There were plenty of food friends and conversation and the kids had a great time with their friends too.  The camper was emptied, cleaned up and winterized.  I’ll move it to another property to store it after a junior high volleyball game this evening.

Kev – Congrats on the 30 years!

Chief – I’ll keep Mrs. Dorothy in my prayers

May God bless

Jim

Good evening,

A busy Monday for me.  It's 22:37 and I just now sat still and will be asleep soon.  I hope you all have a great day.

RT - Those issues do not exist anymore.  Also, it will be a US-spec model so no problems whatsoever.

Kev - Congrats on the upcoming anniversary.

Good night,

Joe

V8 Dennis, We got some rain over here but I don't know how much.  Ground was wet and cars had beads of water on them.  Whatever it was we'll take it.

Good evening all,

Wife had good checkup today.  Switching to 9 months visits to save some money.    Weather still good.  Did edge sidewalk and used the weedeater on some of the sidewalk.  Looked at the yard to see if I needed to mow.  Not enough tall enough to fool with for now.   Maybe after a rain....maybe.   Got grandkid's playoff schedule.  Will be busy Friday night for sure and possibly Saturday depending on how they do.  Then soccer will be over except for Indy 11.   Got rid of a ton of cardboard boxes for heavy trash pickup.  I hope they take it all.  Frees up some space in the attic.  Had a nice meal at Denny's tonight.  Was buy one get one for seniors tonight and the portions were so big we have meals for tomorrow as well.  Good deal.   Wife was happy to find some more coasters she liked from Dollar Tree.  Some times the simplest things in life bring the most pleasure.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all.  Sunny and warm [unseasonal].  Heavy dew too.  Been busy with meetings.  House chores and then meeting until later tonight.

Mrs. Dorothy Jones died yesterday morning.  The black widow lady I helped and was my "Mama" [as she put it]. Sad.

No hunting this week.  Too hot and I'm too busy.  Wifey been working Master Gardeners at the State Fair.  She has a break and gone to regular part-time job.  Probably go out and visit Thursday afternoon.  Free bus ride and free entry for us old folks.

Roy, did I miss your birthday?  If so, Happy B-Day.

Have a good one.

Good evening,

Another late night post for me.  The weather was so-so today but since we had no outdoor activities planned it did not matter.  The wife made a healthier version of Cincinnati chili for dinner.  If you've ever been to Skyline chili you know what it is.  Instead of using spaghetti she uses zucchini that has been spiraled to look like spaghetti.  It is delicious and much healthier.  The monthly comic shipment arrived today but I will not have a chance to read any until this weekend.  It's time to get some sleep now.

Chief - Sorry for your loss.

Happy Birthday Roy!

Good night,

Joe

Chief - Sorry for your loss of Mrs Dorothy.

You know the other day I was thinking about Chuck and how he watched and listened to Indians Baseball year after year.  He didn't care much for the Browns but he loved his Indians Baseball. He couldn't wait for the season to start every spring and baseball in Cleveland means the harsh winter is hopefully over. He would stay up and watch the games played on the west coast.

Well let's try this again. I accidently closed the page.

Have I.V. hooked up for this a.m.'s dose. This afternoon need to go to Batesburg/leesville first then turn around and goto Aiken to get some maintance on the truck done. Fix a nail in one tire, rotoate tires, and get a alignment. All free as part of the package I bought when I got the tires. The alignment is for the life of the truck or as long as I own it anyway.

Other than that no plans for today.

No train news.

Hope all have a good Hump day.

Not much going on these days.

Need to reach out to Fife to see how the move is progressing.

Buckeye - I too was thinking about Chuck the other day. Loved your stories about him and wish I could have met him. We lost a good one when he passed.

Aloha. Another beauty of a day - supposed to be cooler - more seasonal - for a few days and then warm again. Yay! Happy Birthday Roy! My condolences on Mrs. Dorothy's passing, Chief. Wearing my Sox t-shirt on Cubs Appreciation Days at work - I don't own any Cubs gear. The natives are panicking after last night's loss. I too am thinking of Chuck as the Indians move forward. Got my flu shot... hopefully the right one. Finally got 4 new Goodyear tires for the bride's car. Surprisingly Walmart was better than Costco...

Morning. Already 73 degrees. Unbelievable. One good thing, this front is pushing a big storm out in the Atlantic away from us. Also, helping dry out down east.

Taking it easy this AM. Got meetings all afternoon. Been watching REF DVR'd. Catching up. Meetings all afternoon.

Going to the house and do "visitation" at Mrs. Dorothy's. I have a part of the service Sunday afternoon. HUMM.

Chief, sorry about Mrs. Dorothy, she sounded like a nice person.

Nice day but like Doug said cooler. Been burning leaves every day now.

SS payday today, so off to Krogers. Going to skip the anniversary trip, still coughing but not as bad, Just would not be fun and the weather up there is going to be cold anyway and with all the darn drugs I am on for the lungs wife just don't want to risk it.

I see Lionel is starting to compete with Menards and Charles Ro has six packs of  cars for $99.00 or $19.99 each.

Best get to it.

Good evening,

It was a bit chillier today and it felt nice.  The morning was busy at work but the afternoon had a slower pace.  The boys and I had leftovers for dinner as the wife and Princess are out for dinner with some other girls.  Right now the youngest and I are hanging out as we just dropped off the older boy at soccer practice.  We have some more play time before we need to pick him up.

Have a great day,

Joe

Hey all, still around just have been fighting some health issues !

Chief, condolences on the loss of such a great friend.

Roy, Happy B-Day assuming the rumors are accurate.

Joe, Funny you should mention Cinncy Chili. Last Sunday, since I was in no shape to go out, that's what I fixed for our 51st anniverasry dinner. Fortunately the seasoning packets can be ordered on-line since Cali grocery stores don't carry it. They are a product of Skyline. It ain't good for you but it sure tastes great.

Well time to see if I can something done.

Later all.

Evening all,

Thanks for the b'day thoughts. Had a nice couple of celebrations with son cooking steaks (he bought at local meat market) Sun night and then a nice dinner last night at a local gourmet pizza place (byob!) with adult beverages, some close neighbors, kids and a couple of their friends. Fun evening and conversation.

Chief - sorry about your friend Dorothy. Angel

Kev - one more year to Medicare. Never thought I would look forward to that!

Good evening all,

Day started off bad and went downhill from there.  Good weather for walk.  Watched Indy 11 win another match.  Supposed to get cooler.  I hope everyone has a good day.
